The placement of this cache has always been problematic, and access to GZ is difficult because of stealth issues. Those issues alone wouldn't justify an archive request, but it seems likely that the caches has gone and the CO isn't responding to NM requests on his caches.
Time to take this off the map.
Time to take this off the map.
No luck here today, and no luck for anyone for over two years.
Could the CO check the cache is still present please?
Could the CO check the cache is still present please?
This is the closest unfound cache to home so I had to come after it eventually, despite the obvious issues with placement and the likelihood that it's missing. There was nobody about when I arrived, but access to GZ was compromised by a car parked close by. I looked around in the likely areas for a short while, but no success. Searching was interrupted by movement in the adjacent house, so I returned to my car and left.
There's been little activity here for over two years, and what there has been is all DNFs. I'll log an NM and request a CO check.

Both my brother and I had a look but to no avail. Couldn't see anything but couldn't hang around as neighbours were moving and started pouring out of the house.
I didn't feel too comfortable poking around here and gave it away pretty quickly.
Looked in the most obvious places and did some very cursory looking around at GZ but ultimately felt uncomfortable poking around further and gave up.
We started looking in one place, but then GPS jumped and told us we were 30 meters away, so we went and looked there. After no joy, we re-read previous logs and decided we were in the right place to begin with. We soon had cache in hand. TFTC
Find No 4 for today out with BigcheezeNZ. GPS was all over the place and so searched a few areas. Read previous logs and looked again in right area as Paula located. TFTC
948 Uncle has lived in this street for 50 years and this is the first time down this end. Off through the park in tbe dark.
This had me going further down than was needed and I had to back up rather scary!! But found the spot. Called the cul de sac. Which it is but didn't appear like one to start with. Then it was only a quick search. And the goods were revealed.... Beside it was this toadstool which I took a photograph of.
thank you for this cache and another smiley face.

#1631 Decided to collect some caches on my way back from Karori to convert some more icons to smilies on my map- collected caches until the battery on my phone and GPS were spent and I was resigned to going home and sorting some chores! Drove down to the cul-de-sac and parked behind somebody's car and hoped that I wouldn't take long- took a moment to spot the cache and I signed the log while investigating the sign. Glad it didn't take long because it is very close to a garden. Will have to return and do the walk someday. TFTC!
#616. Popped back here on a damp Monday morning to have another go at finding it. This time I left the GPS in the car and just searched the logical places. After spotting a white survey peg on the ground I felt more comfortable looking at some trees I ignored last time as I thought they were on private land. So within two minutes I hit the jackpot. Quickly signed the log and away to Wadestown Views for visit No.2 today. Pleased to have this cache converted to a smiley face. TFTC
Public holiday mornings and everyone still in bed. Started at Crofting downs end of track and made my way down the valley. All quiet at game zone and cache found in first place I looked. A quick sign then back the way I came. Thanks for the cache.
Hmmmm was it their front yard? Felt like it. Found cache in good order.

I was aware this cache had some peculiar issues and wasn't too optimistic on a rainy day. Hard to tell if its on reserve or private property, exactly what sort of vegetation it might be nestled in and whether or not the pile of household rubbish at the GZ has buried it. Checked a number of obvious choices. No luck. Decided to scarper home and will read all logs carefully before we try again.
Felt like we were fossicking in someone's garden. A quick rummage in the obvious places didn't find it.
I wish I had read the comments about this cache being uncomfortably positioned. This was a complete rubbish dump so unable to find it.
Phew. That is some run from the CBD. Street nice and quiet today. Parked up and eventually followed my GPS to the hide. Wasn't expecting it on that side of the road.

I was muggled by a gentleman from the house adjacent to the GZ while hunting for the cache. He asked if I had lost something so I told him I was geocaching - he thought it was a type of plant, but when I showed him the compass on my phone he understood that I was hunting for something. We wished each other happy holidays and he seemed to understand and was OK with the geocaching concept. A quick find for me soon after. TFTC
Tried to find this one before but no luck, quick find today with LCBuilder thanks
FOund the cache after a bit of a search. Didn't really feel comfortable searching in peoples gardens. Did with Mycro Man. First cache ever on the 27th of October!
My GPS wouldn't settle, but eagle-eyed Yosser 9 trusted her instincts, et voila! Cache in hand! Thanks. We then headed down the path to the river - I've always approached from the Kaiwharawhara Rd side, so it was nice to join the dots.

With DjaliDjinn. Cache was lying on the ground so found a place a few centimetres away to "nestle it" as per clue. Great to discover a new walkway...
Enjoyed this one, didn't believe the co-ords initially but sure enough found the GZ
Didn't enjoy this search, or the fact we didn't find it. Seems a strange location for a hide when there are better ones relatively close by. Can only think that there is a proximity-to-other-caches issue. Gave up after putting my hand into something unpleasant in one of the search locations. Rubbish and being only metres from muggles' cars and front doors also added to the general unpleasantness.

Had nearly chucked the towel in over this one, when tried somewhere else and found. Dont like these one where you feel you are almost on private properly. Reasonably quiet except for some wood pigeons and odd walkers and runners.
UlmusLynx managed to pounce on this one road so narrow we didn't want to come back if we could help it. TFTC
Like others I felt really exposed rummaging around the rubbish and weeds here, this location could have fitted a larger container? Might have made it easier to find? Lots of people walking down the street too which made me feel a bit conspicuous
Doing a mid-weeker. Thought it was a 'onesy' turned out not to be the case. Almost parked on top of the hide and after a bit of a careful reccie we soon had the cache in hand.
All in order here; log signed, cache safely re-hidden.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

The combination of a damp morning and the residents perhaps sleeping in after an early start yesterday meant that I had the area to myself. A quick find. TFTC
Searched for a little while without any luck. I wasn't particularly comfortable searching this area - it felt like I was searching in someone's back yard, it was very close to the neighbouring house and there was a lot of rubbish around. Just didn't feel good.
Visiting friends for lunch so we made a small detour on the way home. Parked up the road a bit not knowing what we would find at the bottom and walked down. Found in the 2nd placed looked. Then it was a stroll back up enjoying the views. TFTC
Had to rely on the hint to find this one but managed to find quickly. TFTC, #5586
Chose the walk to the park option after leaving geo mobile at top of nearby street. Sat at the top of the track and eyed up a few locations before going in for the swoop. Luck at second nest. TFTC I love Trelissick Park.
Very lucky to retrieve, sign and return as the local resident decided to wash his car just after we found it. Fortunately he needed some additional car washing material and we managed to slip it back and leave. TFTC
Parked up on the main rd, and walked down.
Took a while to decide where exactly to look.
I agree with previous comments in that it should be moved somewhere just down the track.

Been watching this one with interest as it was one of my nearest unfound caches. Avoided the muggles this morning by visiting at 5:20am in the drizzle! Quick find and sign and then back out of there. TFTC !
For the first time ever I got well and truly muggled!!!!
Had just arrived at GZ and was having a look around, when the owners of the house next door arrived home and the lights from their car shone right on me. In a spot like that, what else could I do but pretend that my niece dropped her ball further up the street and it had rolled down here and I was looking for it.
Looks like I'm going to have to wait a while to re-attempt this one!

Found on second visit - first time there were signs of life in the nearby house and we did not feel comfortable with the search. This time things were a lot quieter and MrM5 came up with the cache after a short search. TFTC
Cache # 1,207 - second time lucky. Actually the updated coordinates helped a lot. Took less than 2 minutes to locate. Did today with Violet Butterfly. TFTC!
Coordinates changed from:
S 41° 15.558 E 174° 46.391
Coordinates changed to:
S 41° 15.557 E 174° 46.397
Distance from original: 28.1 feet or 8.6 meters.
Few complaints about coordinates so I went and ran an average again (for a longer period this time).

this was not a walk in the Park after we the reread the web page again and we found it after 5 mins looking My GPS read for the cache was S 41 15.557 E 174 46.397 hope this helps TFTC log by Gsak
Tricksy wee find, not aided by GPS or neighbours.
Only located with a very explicit hint from a previous finder. Had presumed this was private land so didn't bother to check initially.
Parked on main road so as not to annoy the good folk of Hanover Street and did enjoy the walk up and down with geodog Coca, though. TFTC

Almost muggled by an errant tradie, but managed to look innocent enough not to get queried.
Quick find once the coast was clear.

TFTC. Had about ten minutes to spare before the school pick up, so decided to give this cache another try. Used looking at the track map to scope out possible locations. Second one I tried. Think this is public land but not 100% certain. Stealth definitely needed!
Didn't realise you could access Trelissick Park from here. We started searching by the track without success, but after reading the description and past logs a bit more closely, decided to search in another spot. Quick find after that.
Afterwards, had a cup of coffee at the cafe just round the corner, and meet up with a couple of cachers here (Zissas and Ethnz?). Small world.

#5475. We opted for the drive option (though the Wadestown roads are shockingly narrow; Troodles hates driving there). Took a little while to focus on the right spot, but once we did it was a quick find. We decided we needed a coffee to prepare us for Sepulchres Quest, and it was a bonus to meet two fellow cachers in the cafe. TFTC.
Got muggled so explained to nearby resident about geocaching. Our first house was down this street so had a good chat about the history of the end of the street. TFTC
I will go and check that it is still there after work and also try and re average the coordinates.
NOTE: I had to move it away from the track so I could get is published as there are some caches\way points in the area.

Had a good 15 minute go at this today. No sign of people in the nearby houses, but several walkersby gave us some strange looks. Looked in all of the obvious spots. The GPS kept pointing towards private property, so hope that the coordinates are simply out.
A reasonably quick find here this morning, I have some reservations as to whether this is on public land or in someone's garden. TFTC
Found it, after the nearby residents went to bed at 0030 hours. I agree this definitely is not a good place to put this cache. I am surprised noone has got caught by the police and you can look suspect as you are within a few metres of someones big glass window.
Walked back along the northern walkway to this one - used the excuse of reading the sign to take a rest whilst the GPS steadied itself....but to no avail. Looked in the most obvious (to me at least) spot without success. Any more loitering and it would have looked like I was 'casing the joint', so I left. Agree with other comments that this would be probably better relocated a little along the path to avoid being overlooked by 3 sets of windows....
A fairly qyuick find at lunchtime. Fortunately there was nobody about.

Second go at this one - came here a couple of evenings ago and sussed where the cache probably was but couldn't get to it as there was a person sitting on a nearby porch and looking straight at me through the fence. She asked me if I was lost, I said "no" and headed off back to the car. Came here this morning on a working day and fortunately nobody around. Grabbed the cache within seconds, was able to sign the log while shielded by a nearby parked car, and replaced just as quickly. This is one cache that might have been better placed a bit down the walking track. TFTC!
#3858. FTF @ 18:25. We parked and went for a short walk after work. Quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC.
