Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored another beautiful day after a couple of chilly ones. Love these country roads - our type of caching. Thanks for the hide LNCU
Found it With DeafPvC - DeafPhantom DeafVW DeafCat Beautiful scenery and lot of grapes farm amazing Awesome weather and no humidity yay yay Thank you
A nice and easy multi to do in the car while the air con is running. Got to final without issue. Well done guys. Logging with DeafPVC
Spending a long weekend in the Southern suburbs which I havent visited very much since I started geocaching. So lots of unfound caches to keep me busy. The main theme was to target solved mysteries, highly favourited caches, caches requiring a TOTT, adventure labs and any other caches that I passed by.A hot one today so this was a quick park and grab and then back to the air conditioned car. Thanks for the cache equipe de cinq.# # #14162 # #
And I think that's a wrap for the Forty Winks series! We did most of it a few years ago and recently found the last few ... except for #16 which probably went up in flames earlier this year. TFTC and the series!
The plan was to cache some fresh air, scenery, and of course 40 winks
Rounded up a few multis today

Maths isn't a particular strong point but managed this one. Thanks team. One persons enemy is anothers friend.
Found while meandering our way down south today. This was one of a couple 40 winks caches found, rest will have to wait for another day. All good at GZ.
Find #4784 on 26 Dec 2022.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure and another very chilly, wet day. Just perfect for geocaching. A quick driveby, all good here TFTS.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

What a day we have had today. The first thing that happened right before my eyes all my maps just disappeared from the GPS, nothing we did would bring them back. Finally after several phone calls trying to fix the problem we ended up on the phone to Garmin who declared that the GPS was terminal. We will be without a GPS for a couple of weeks so it is caching with the phone, yuk. Today we needed to say no to a few of the Forty Winks caches that we had targeted.
The phone has an app on it that monitor’s my heart and I am not allowed to be more than 2 meters from the phone, the terrain was beyond me, if hubby had gone for the caches he would have needed to use the phone, the next thing would be a phone call wondering if everything was OK.
All the caches that we found today were in good condition and the majority of co-ords are spot on. Our finds were a mix of trads, multi and puzzles.

Out for an afternoon of caching. Really enjoyed working through the forty winks series here! Most were quick finds with the help of the hints. A multi to mix things up. Appreciated.
Doing this series with ilook4geo today with a good find rate. The only ones we did not bother with were a few which required walking along a track where the grass was very long and could have been hiding who knows what. All the others were nice quick and easy finds and both names were soon stamped somewhere on each log. Thank you to equipe de cinq for placing this series of caches.
Enjoyed the caching along with goingplaces2 today. We had a mostly successful time, retrieved each container, signed the log and replaced all as found. TFTC.
Finally worked it out. What a WAY to POINT you in the right direction. Found with the Easten Olaves. Don't forget your shoes.
We were very stuck for a while and then we got it!

Found tftc. Our last for the day but we havent done the whole series yet so will be back one day soon.
Chasing numbers for a serious milestone so today set my sights on a series I've long wanted to do but never got around to, the 40 Winks series. Found 37 and replaced 4 which were almost certainly missing.
Thanks to equipe de cinq for putting out this cache for me to find

In Port Elliot today, out to tackle the 40 Winks series. All caches found in good order, took nothing and left nothing. Thanks to equipe de cinq for the run. TFTC
TFTC equip de cinq. Well, that’s it for me today after walking the whole ‘0’. Will come back for ‘4’ another time. No snakes today, although someone called out as such; only spiders were dead or fake. And saw another cacher on my travels. All in all a great day️
Out and about geocaching today, while staying in Willunga from Brisbane. Decided to cache art, '40'. Due to the number of caches in this series I am doing a generic cache. Thoroughly enjoyed doing these caches, even those ones that had to be walked. TFTC equipe de cinq
Spending a few days in Wallunga as part of our trip to SA after borders were opened up to NSW and QLD. Today was the day to find the 40 Winks and a few extra caches near by. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches and enhancing our enjoyment of caching.
Im not even sure what this is, other than a rare type of cache, but sure, I’ll add it to my bucket list. Hope you found one SEMIK.
On a mission to finish the 40 before while I am still 40! Wanted to finish it today with my Geodaughter and we succeeded. YAY!
Found in a likely spot. This one was a bit trickier being a multi. Nice to see a multi mixed in with the trads. TFTC

Each day of our holiday follows the same successful recipe.
1. Sleep in
2. Argue over which one of us has to get out of bed first to have a shower
3. If you are the first in the shower try to use up all the hot water
4. Grab a coffee from a different place in town
5. Find a cache or two until lunch time
6. Have a glass of wine at lunch. If you are not the driver and own a vagina have three glasses
7. Do a wine tasting and buy a few bottles for the night
7a. Duck back to the unit and put the wine in the fridge.
8. Find drive-by caches until 5:00pm where the driver can then also drink wine
9. Drink wine
10. Drink wine
11. Drink wine
12. Repeat

So this was a fairly full-on solo geocaching day for me today, and I wanted to make the most of the terrific weather that had the right temperature, sun out and blue sky. The plan was to head south to tackle some of the power trails / series, and for the most part, that was achieved. My day started at Seaford, and then it was a run along the creek finding the *Real Aliens* series. I then diverted towards the ocean, to find a nemesis oldie and enjoy a run along Moana's cliffs. A selection of the *Cats and Dogs* series were detoured past, before a break at Aldinga's bakery. Next was the *Forty Winks* series, and then back towards the ocean to enjoy a few caches at Sellicks Beach. It was getting to late afternoon by the time I drove through Myponga, and targeted a few hiking geocaches around there, and back towards Sellicks Hill. By this time, it was dark, and so made my way home, having utilised this great weather as best as I could.
I'm normally not the fan of power trails, especially doing these solo, but whether it was the weather, or obvious cache hides, I actually quite enjoyed driving around these, and the nearby airport made it even more enjoyable. I managed to find these caches in two waves (early afternoon, and towards the evening), with a few DNFs in amongst the series. This was the second phase of driving this series, and with it being dark after the sun had set, I pretty well had these roads to myself.
Hmm, so this is a different style of a multi-cache. I wonder if this would fly these days, and if anything, perhaps is more of a mystery/unknown cache type than a multi-cache. Anyways I digress. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks equipe de cinq for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today I thought I’d head south to find some of the wherigos, multis, letterboxes and puzzles around the McLaren Vale, Willunga and Aldinga areas. I also visited an earthcache and a traditional that were close by.
It ended up being a very pleasant day today after a smoky start and a bit of drizzle - quite a change from yesterday’s blustery 42 degrees! Perfect caching weather.
All of the puzzles were solved before leaving home and the multis were generally straightforward. All but one of the caches were found easily.
Thanks equipe de cinq for the cache.

We knew our maths was right but just didn't take in to account how far it was going to be so with some car rides, walks in the rain and knowing where a previous one with the same hint was we found it! Still don't understand hint but we got it!! Yippee!! TFTC
That’s the lot. A backtrack to get the multi and the series (plus a few detours) is complete. Many thanks!
Returned today after completing one half of this series earlier this year. Most were easy hides but a few caught me off guard. TFTC

Found while on the annual Trip to South Aurstalia for the Tour Down Under Bike race.
All week I've been travelling with Tyred n Cranky, but today I dropped them off in Myponga, as they were participating in the "Challenge Tour" with over 3000 other riders.
As every year, when I drop them off, it starts a caching day for me.
This year I had the 40 series on the GPSr ready to go, and a few others around the area and on the way to Strathalbyn, where Tyred n Cranky would be crossing the Finish line and where I had to pick them up.
While doing the 40 I came across another cachers log, wow they were from Horsham, and after a few messages, it turnec out we were doing the same thing. The dropp off of family members, caching the area, picking up family members. A weird coincidence so far from home.
Sorry for the generic log. All caches were found safe n healthy unless otherwise stated.

We’re over here for the Tour Downunder and a week at the beach. I started the 4 last year and looked forward to making more progress this year.
Having dropped my husband and son off for the community ride I had a bit of time to myself before I had to pick them up.
I am pleased to say that aside from a couple of DNFs I’ve got a pretty 40 pic on my map now and still made it to the end of the race in time.
Also spent part of the trip chasing a fellow cacher from near home which was rather funny.
Thanks for this cache series. It was a great task.
I’d done the calculations correctly but a typo on the phone led me on a half kilometre detour up a dry creek without a cache. When I checked my phone I realised my mistake and found the prize right by the car.

Come to Adelaide from Melbourne for a week holiday to see my parents. Visited McLaren Vale area for caching day. Beautiful weather but very windy. Puzzle solved. Done all the Forty Winks except 2 DNFs. Thanks equipe de cinq for the 4 0 Winks series
Hidden creatures expedition with KTPops. Thanks for hiding this cache equip de cinq. Final in the series, a simple multi to round out a great day. Just a final comment on the days outing - we had intentions to complete the Challenge which set us a pretty high target. Must have dialled down the stealth meter as a muggle in his red car spotted us signing Forty Winks #08 log near the airport fence. We had a break for lunch and the same muggle drove by 5 times, finally stopping and asking what we were up to. Admitting nothing, he called the police. We chose to return 15 minutes later and approached the patrol car which had arrived. They had advised muggle that all was ok, and we were on our way. Apparently, being on the airport fence, this had priority for the boys in blue. An interesting encounter, but we kept an eagle eye out for muggles for the remainder of the day.
Lovely day out for some caching, last time I was In SA, we did the 60, now where doing the 40, tftc
Having failed to find this one when I did most of Forty Winks in one hit, it was nice to come back and grab it, almost five years to the day.
I had a bit of a challenge getting to GZ, but once I was there, I had the cache quite quickly. My tip for this cache: try and park on the northern side of the road, it'll make for a much safer and easier search.

This cache pretty much completes the series. Have enjoyed riding a bike from cache to cache, completing what I first started 4 years ago. Thanks for making the hides straightforward so that old eyes can find them. A most enjoyable series.
Third bite at the Forty Winks series. I was hoping to finish it today, but my knees which were thrashed during the week are telling me to call it a day, or there will be no table tennis tomorrow
Excuse my ignorance, but what’s the APE cache? I’m intrigued....

I've never understood the fascination with Project APE caches. Is it just having the pixels in a cacher's profile? Or is there something deeper?
Either way, this cache was an ultra-easy find, and wrapped up our day of grabbing caches for the [GeosportZ 2018](https://geocaching.com.au/dragonzone/game/geosportz2018/) caching game.

I was out this way at the Range racing my bike, on the way home I went to needed to get some more points for the planet souvenir. These are really easy finds, it’s a bit annoying that you can’t drive to them all in a row as there are massive piles of dirt in the middle of the road but did the ones I could TFTC trail
Another work day over, so of course instead of going home to my empty house I go for a geocaching run by myself.
Thanks

Had to get home quick tonight (my kitty cat is sick) so I did a little quick maths and picked this one up. ONE MORE TO GO on the 40 winks caches! Unreal.
I stopped on our drive to Willunga for the TDU. We saw the riders pass soon after I logged this find. Thanks.
Found with Csaba! and SupaOrange before I had a caching name. A very late log. Turtle out.
Staying in the area for a few days and what to do in the mornings before it's beach time?? Cache!! Started this series at the end. Picked up cache #17 to #41 today plus a few others along the way. Quick solve. Will be back to complete the series later. Thanks

This was to be our final full day in SA before heading back to Perth tomorrow afternoon . It has been a fantastic caching trip with old mate KrabiBoy and we have been flying through as many caches as we can manage . We targeted Willunga today and then cached our way northeast towards another OTD series [^]. Another rippa day!
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to equipe de cinq for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Forty Winks #34 today. This is my find #8071 and find #72 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again equipe de cinq for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

Did the 40 Winks series on the mountain bike with the geowife - and loved it! What a great series! Cruised the backblocks of Willunga and around the Willunga aerodrome (a busy little airport with planes landing every 5 minutes). Total distance was about 17km. Plus did a few more to the north with a total of 56 caches for the day. Signed the log for this cache.
Day Twenty eight of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide.
We have been caching in the Northern suburbs, time to head South. We did some of both the Forty Winks and Cats and Dogs series, plus any that appeared on our radar as we travelled around.
Can't say I have a bucket list, I doubt I have much that I wanted to do that I haven't tried yet..
And now I have done most of this series, what more could I want to do?
An nicely laid out series with good sided containers and nice logs.
Sorry, no particular interest. That also includes visiting GC Headquarters.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12086. Day 28 of our SA holiday. Time to bite the bullet and travel south of Adelaide from Semaphore. It was a bit of a journey - no easy way through town. We decided to start with Forty Winks and then proceed to Cats and Dogs, as time allowed. We completed the Forty Winks before having a quick lunch at Aldinga and we then started the other series. A successful day of 76 finds and 6 DNF's.
I don't actually have a bucket list. I just go with the flow. Now this is an interesting one - could be tempted if they did tours to GZ in style. No rough bush-bashing for me. I do enough of that with ordinary caching.
Thanks equipe de cinq

So today wanted to get to 3850 so we can attempt to hit our 4000 on Easter weekend. Geohusband preferred to stay at home cleaning (yes really) so it was just the Geohound and I on today's mission. We headed back to McLaren area to finish the 40 series and do some more of the Cats and Dogs and a few randoms in between. TFTC.
This was one was a nice multi throw in amongst all the trads. Don't think we will get to find either of the APEs but wouldn't mind a trip to either.

A beautiful Saturday morning out caching with Freddo and GoodLook, targeting the 40 series, as well as a few others that are nearby. We managed to find all of the existing 40 series caches, and replaced the one that has been archived. Stay tuned for publication!
Normally for a series like this I'd just do a single generic log, but since the subject of this series is someone with whom occupies a special place to me, I'll try something a little different for the 40 series caches. I first met SEMIK at June Long Weekend 2013 (Yankalilla - [Friendly Fleurieu Frolic](https://coord.info/GC4A71Y)) where we shared a table during the events presentation night. A year later at June Long Weekend 2014 (Cleve - [Cleve Creepy Caching JLWE 2014](https://coord.info/GC536PN)) we were competing in a team together. Again, at June Long Weekend 2016 (Wirrabara - [Wacky Wirrabara Wonderland - JLWE 2016](https://coord.info/GC6EYK7)) we teamed up for a respectable second place.
Around 18 months ago, having noticed my delight in fashion, SEMIK was kind enough to ask me to join her for formal dance classes with the aim of attending a ball, something I tried my hand at briefly around nine years ago. After some initial hesitation and some gentle encouragement from SEMIK, I did so, and it has easily been one of the best things I have done in recent years. Since that time, I have spent many a night at dance functions with SEMIK, and our friendship has grown to one I truly cherish. SEMIK is a person of patience and compassion, an amazing raconteur thanks to her intelligence and sharp wit, and very giving of herself and her time. Thank you for your friendship, encouragement and support Audra, you truly are an amazing person.
My APE cache statistic still reads a duck egg. Perhaps if I'm in that part of the world soon, that may change!
This was find number 39 of 46 for the day for me. TFTC equipe de cinq!
Normally for a series like this I'd just do a single generic log, but since the subject of this series is someone with whom occupies a special place to me, I'll try something a little different for the 40 series caches. Finding the APE cache would be a very cool thing to do!
Out and about with the fabulous Freddo. We met the awesome RTGW at Forty Winks #1 and proceeded to have a lovely morning chatting, laughing and finding caches whilst providing maintenance to the entire series. New log books in all, and the majority received a new container. A spectacular day to be soaking up the sunshine.
GEOCACHING ROCKS!!! [:X]
Thanks for the cache equipe de cinq!
