Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Aldinga for a few days and ranging from there to grab some finds. Scored another beautiful day after a couple of chilly ones. Love these country roads - our type of caching. Just a plastic bag with a sodden log book. Left a container and new log sheet. Thanks for the hide LNCU
The hint certainly is!One week on from SAs Leap Year MEGA Event and out caching again. This time around Aldinga/Willunga and anywhere else that looks interesting.equipe de cinq, I found Forty Winks #39 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

I had managed to negotiate a morning of caching on a rare day off. The plan was to see how much I could get to before the forecast rain arrived. I decided to travel between this series of caches on two wheels rather than four, and it was nice to get some exercise in.
I was a little uneasy at GZ, though it was nice and quiet. I was glad to make the quick find and be on my merry way. TFTC equipe de cinq

Definitely a great hint. Was soaking, popped in a new log, with a ziplock bag. Thanks Equipe de Cinque, what a great series. Thanks for maintaining and placing them all.
Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure and another very chilly, wet day. Just perfect for geocaching. A quick driveby, the cache is sodden and we are running out of replacement caches. TFTS.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

What a day we have had today. The first thing that happened right before my eyes all my maps just disappeared from the GPS, nothing we did would bring them back. Finally after several phone calls trying to fix the problem we ended up on the phone to Garmin who declared that the GPS was terminal. We will be without a GPS for a couple of weeks so it is caching with the phone, yuk. Today we needed to say no to a few of the Forty Winks caches that we had targeted.
The phone has an app on it that monitor’s my heart and I am not allowed to be more than 2 meters from the phone, the terrain was beyond me, if hubby had gone for the caches he would have needed to use the phone, the next thing would be a phone call wondering if everything was OK.
All the caches that we found today were in good condition and the majority of co-ords are spot on. Our finds were a mix of trads, multi and puzzles.

Today we went out to start working through the 40 winks series starting with the Zero!. The day started out warm and muggy and ended with us being very very wet. Dropped and Swapped some trackables along the way. All Caches were in great condition and were found with Cachehunter and Zoe the Geodog. TFTC.
Out doing 40 winks we found the cache but it was stuck inside the (hint). We managed to extract it from it’s difficult location but it was without a lid and had no logbook. We put a new logbook inside and we found the lid and put it back in its spot
The cache was found stuck in the hint. Nearby on the ground we spotted the lid. It took quite a bit of effort and two of us to get the cache unstuck. The lid still works. A new logbook was placed in the cache.
Managed to get this one out of it's hiding spot with the help of Poisin and a leatherman. Replaced in a place where it shouldn't get stuck again and replaced the missing logbook.

Today I went caching with Poisin55 and Chubly09. We set out to complete the '0' of the 40 winks series of caches by bike and completed it successfully with no DNFs. the 40 is almost finished by us now except for the top of the '4' which the others didn't come prepared for as some long pants and gaiters would be needed and one DNF that is yet to be resolved on the '4' so there are a few left for another time. It was a bit of a hot day for it but it many smileys were gained and Chubly09 hit his 50th milestone and I hit my 200th. TFTC equipe de cinq

Out for an afternoon of caching. Really enjoyed working through the forty winks series here! Most were quick finds with the help of the hints. This one is stuck in the side of the old post it can be seen but it cannot be retrieved. It is also empty and has no log book.
Doing this series with ilook4geo today with a good find rate. The only ones we did not bother with were a few which required walking along a track where the grass was very long and could have been hiding who knows what. All the others were nice quick and easy finds and both names were soon stamped somewhere on each log. Thank you to equipe de cinq for placing this series of caches.
Enjoyed the caching along with goingplaces2 today. We had a mostly successful time, retrieved each container, signed the log and replaced all as found. TFTC.
Another wink and another smile TFTC ️
Replaced cache and log as cache had cracked lid and log was soggy.

Great Winter's day to explore the area. Noted the log book too wet to sign. Sorry I didn't bring a spare. A must do when embarking on this incredibly interesting set of drive-bys, is a breakfast, coffee or lunch stop at the Biplanes Cafe at the Aldinga airfield. A real treat. TFTC.
have an hour to spare between dropping hubby off for the Willunga down hill race and netball
Chasing numbers for a serious milestone so today set my sights on a series I've long wanted to do but never got around to, the 40 Winks series. Found 37 and replaced 4 which were almost certainly missing.
Thanks to equipe de cinq for putting out this cache for me to find

In Port Elliot today, out to tackle the 40 Winks series. All caches found in good order, took nothing and left nothing. Thanks to equipe de cinq for the run. TFTC
Out and about geocaching today, while staying in Willunga from Brisbane. Decided to cache art, '40'. Due to the number of caches in this series I am doing a generic cache. Thoroughly enjoyed doing these caches, even those ones that had to be walked. TFTC equipe de cinq
Spending a few days in Wallunga as part of our trip to SA after borders were opened up to NSW and QLD. Today was the day to find the 40 Winks and a few extra caches near by. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches and enhancing our enjoyment of caching.
Last week we had been monitoring the Vale temperature from our home base in Brisbane. It seemed to be on par with what we were having at home so it was only a last minute decision to pack one of my favourite Aldi jumpers for the trip.
My favourite jumper has so many memories stained onto it. There are about 25 coffee stains from some of my favourite cafes. There is a Shiraz stain from one of my favourite wines and a sh&t stain from one of my best sh&ts. Anyone who washes this jumper is a dead man. tftc

Found this one on a fun day out with the kids. Really cute log book. We were first to use it. TFTC
If it’s where the hint says sadly it’s not at the location given will try again in the future
So this was a fairly full-on solo geocaching day for me today, and I wanted to make the most of the terrific weather that had the right temperature, sun out and blue sky. The plan was to head south to tackle some of the power trails / series, and for the most part, that was achieved. My day started at Seaford, and then it was a run along the creek finding the *Real Aliens* series. I then diverted towards the ocean, to find a nemesis oldie and enjoy a run along Moana's cliffs. A selection of the *Cats and Dogs* series were detoured past, before a break at Aldinga's bakery. Next was the *Forty Winks* series, and then back towards the ocean to enjoy a few caches at Sellicks Beach. It was getting to late afternoon by the time I drove through Myponga, and targeted a few hiking geocaches around there, and back towards Sellicks Hill. By this time, it was dark, and so made my way home, having utilised this great weather as best as I could.
Hmm, three DNFs in a row after some good momentum on this trail. I highly suspect that this cache may be missing, but will watch and see. Thanks anyway equipe de cinq.

I decided to bump up my finds for 29th Feb, seeing as it doesn't come around often, so I headed down south from my home town and spent a day meandering around these areas and just enjoying the day.
Great weather, nice countryside and good caches. Thanks to all the owners, sorry but this is a blanket log.
Lots of scratches from the caches under the ever present bushes, lots of ants, lots of other things which made noises in the bush. I probably should be doing all this in winter - but that is no challenge
Some caches may have specific logs if they need attention, otherwise they were all found in good condition. Thanks for your caches and making my day an adventure.

Returned today after completing one half of this series earlier this year. Most were easy hides but a few caught me off guard. TFTC
