After we had visited the Pankake Rocks we slowly continued to Greymouth. Here we stopped at beautiful views and places to look for a cache and then sign it. A big thank you to all the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany
Lovely views, even (or maybe especially?) with the todays rainy weather. Thanks for the reason to stop!
Found on this cold morning wasn't long before the cache was in our hands Thank you for the cache
I looked & failed. Mr Curzzz joined me & went straight to the cache. Water in the container, but able to sign log. TFTC
Jazz and Kaja went away to explore some industrial buildings nearby. I stayed near a car and started cooking. .... Meanwhile water goes to boiling I could log this cache.... Greetings for Noel from the Czech Republic:))Thanks.
It was easy to pull off the road here, and the No Parking sign has disappeared. The path past the gate is washed out, so we figured that no one was going to use the gate. Very clever to use a rubber band to hold the rolled log paper. Thanks for the cache and the story behind the name.
Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. After wiping the waterproof log dry everything is All good here. Happy Caching
G'day from Australia!!!
Stumble Trip had been in NZ for the past 6mths, working on the Milford Track. Stumble's Mate flew in to meet up with her and we spent the next 2wks traveling the beautiful South Island in a camper. Whilst the weather wasn't favourable for the first week, we had an awesome time and travelled some 3,200+kms, seeing some beautiful sites and staying in just as beautiful campsite along the way.
Thanks to all the CO. Unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Mum was in Westport this weekend helping with the Lion Fun Day and checked this one on the way home. She just gave the waterproof paper a wipe so now its all good here again. Happy Caching
On my way from the Pancakes to Greymouth I found some riddle and some others.
Thanks a lot.
Thanks a lot.
Nice few caches to end our 4 days in the paparoa track on the way home now

Having only found a handful of caches so far this year we planned a trip to Westport which then turned into more of a 'Maintenance check' day with a few finds at the end. The cache was where it should be and we just gave the waterproof log a wipe dry and popped it back. All good here. Happy Caching
After Andy checked on a couple of our caches, we started caching our way back to Greymouth. A nice wide pullover area made searching for the cache easy and it was soon found, signed and replaced. tftc
GSEL found this while I turned the car around. I shudder to think of some of the stupid things I've done whilst caching - fortunately without major injury so far - just the odd scrape, bruise and cuts from brambles, bush lawyer etc... touch wood this remains the case. TFTC.
#10,092. Day 4 of the geocaching road trip. Infoferret and I flew down from Wellington on Wednesday and have spent a couple of nights in Greymouth. But its time to leave now and head to our next lodgings in Westport. We have geotour caches to find, some adventure labs and a lot of solved puzzles on the way. Will pick up any traditional caches if we have time. The weather is still holding out and its another fine, warm, sunny spring day.
Making our way north and stopped for this cache. I did wonder what the story was behind the cache name. I am sure we have all done lots of stupid things in our lives that we regret in hindsight. The cache itself was quickly found in the quiet area off the main highway. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

Having a road trip up the West Coast and stopping for geocaches as we go. Beautiful views thank you.
Heading down SH 6 to Greymouth this afternoon. One of New Zealand's great coastal drives. Really good to be here again today after a long absence. Quite an impressive sight looking up the valley from the gate. No worries finding the cache. TFTC
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. Todays plan is to head to Greymouth picking up as many roadside PnGs as we can, with a few more interesting excursions thrown into the mix.
This is our forty-third cache of the day, and another that we by-passed on the way south. This time because there were already four vehicles parked at GZ and the campervan we had been following since the last cache, decided to pull off and let us pass. All good on the way north though which made for another QEF PnG for the numbers. We got about 500m up the road after finding this cache when I realised my sunglasses were missing (they had been perched on the brim of my cap) so we retraced our path and found them at GZ. Not the first time that has happened but at least it wasn't as bad as the last time when I had to do a 26 minute bush bash to retrieve them.

This really is my favourite place on the West Coast - majestic, mind-blowing scenery, showing the forces of nature. I really felt for Noel !
Quick find and FP for the location.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather today was unsettled with rain at times.
*We soon had another good cache located, nice quick stop!*

I was on my way back from doing the Ounakaiki Ad Lab cache picking up caches that I has to pass by when I had my snail shell on behind.
Poor Noel!! We have all done stupid things in our lives but that gets very near to taking the cake.
Cheers for the cache.

We stopped to do a random check on this one on the way passed today.
The floral log was wet so we replaced it for a waterproof logstrip while we were here.
All is good here again. Happy Caching

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a most enjoyable drive north from Greymouth on a gorgeous sunny day. We got as far as Crow Bay before turning back as we had left a few caches to do on the return journey.
A rather tricky corner, especially travelling south, so one to take quite slowly. A scenic place to have an accident though . Cache was a quick find but was pretty annoyed at what looked like toilet paper laying around . TFTC.

#18186. Soon made the short walk to GZ (I wondered where the road up the river went; looked like an interesting area to explore). Quick find. TFTC.
Couldn't find this one when here in 2015 so good to collect this smiley today. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for sharing this unfortunate family story.
We did all we wanted around Greymouth and now we are on our way to Westport. We had a list of all the caches on the road north. Poor Noel. Mrs S's two sons both ride motorbikes, her ex road a motorbike and still does, and her father used to ride a motorbike between Palmerston North and Dannevirke through the Manawatu Gorge in the "olden days". Only her younger son had a very serious accident when he was 18. It's in the blood. It was a very nice valley and waterfall. Love to Noel. Take care in future.
Thanks gracie7 + Mum.

I'd had a quick look here after going over the bridge and walked up the track a wee way but didnt spot the hide. I drove up to the cache at the lookout and was able to get the details of this one where I had Data access.
I came back and spotted the cache right away and funnily enough that is exactly where I looked previously but a leaf obscured my view and I hadn't seen it.

A simple find on our way back to Greymouth, but it was very windy so we were lucky to find it quickly. TFTC!
A fast find, a great gorge and 2 miners in the river bed searching for .... gold?. TFTC
Family (In Laws plus Sister & Brother In Law plus their kids!) holiday on the West coast (Hokitika and Westport). Holiday done and time to head for home....via Greymouth, Brunner & Arthurs Pass. Heavy rain set in but hay - gotta stop now and again for a cache or two.....after passing by several times nice to finally stop and make the find and sign - even in the torrential rain! Cheers.
Hello from Perth WA

Last time I looked for this it was MIA. I can't believe it's almost 5 years later but it was a nice quick find today. TFTC # 13,515

At first we couldn't found the case
Later my mom found a case with the cache in the ditch nearby
I returned the cache where I believe was the original location

Glad to hear Noel is well now, looking at the corner involved, it could have been a different story! Quick find here.

I'm glad that Noel is OK! And that this cache is here for us to find as well! tftc!
First cache of gracie7 +Mum. Thanks for placing your caches and making my caching day fun.
We came out to check this because we couldnt remember putting a tin here. The last couple of replacements have both been pill containers. The last couple of finders have actually found a very old replacement from 2014. Funnily though 2 different geocachers signed 2 different containers on the March 8th. We removed the eclipse container and left the other one in place. All good here. Happy Caching
A quick cache and dash whilst passing. I don’t fancy coming off that bridge on a motorbike! Signing logs with our names or initials depending on space. Out caching with Will of the Wisp on our “round the world in 80 days” trip to celebrate retirement. Greetings from England, TFTC.
Nice spot to park with great views. Finally found it and the tin is totally rusted through, so does need replacing.

Quick and easy find on a caching trip. The container is almost rusted trough and might need a replacement soon.
A quick easy find, and we guess we thank Noel for creating a reason for the cache. We could hear some activity down the bank by the river, but couldn't see what was happening. TFTC
12:49:00 PM. Pulled off the road and backed down to the gate. Found the cache and signed damp log. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the cache.
VikingNav and I are driving from Greymouth to Westport today and enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine after a full day of rain yesterday. We decided to stop ast as Many caches as possible today since we had such a short distance to travel today. I love the coastline along the West Coast. It's just breathtaking. This cache was a quick find for us. Thanks for placing it here for everyone! >^..^
Traveling from Greymouth to Westport, stopping for caches and to see the country side. A great sunny day for caching. TFTC
A nice easy find, the cache was exposed and in clear sight so I covered with some natural camp.
A short drive from Greymouth to Punakaikai and attempting to grab a few caches along the way.
Visiting from the UK after a break of four years and caching as we go.

Bei Mistwetter trotzdem gefunden. Leider war die schöne Natur um uns herum wegen des Regens kaum zu sehen.
