Wow that was indeed a large spider. Hi raplh! Sorry to disturb you. We were as quick as we could be!
Made friends with the resident spider - called him Ralph. Very large! Log is almost full, waterlogged and entries are smudged (probably needs a visit from CO). TFTC.
Felt a bit mean disturbing the spider whos sharing her home with the cache, but Im sure shell settle in again Thanks for the series, having lots of fun solving them.
#275. Ninja in. Ninja out. I think I did OK avoiding the muggles having a BBQ. TFTC.
After school mission to get a few more of the kiwi. Had to wait a while as someone came home from work and took an age to unload their Ute. Grabbed while the coast was clear only to be muggled by a couple coming out of a nearby house ‘Looking for bugs are we?’
‘Ah…. Yes?’ That works.
Thanks!

Thanks!
Down from Northland for a few days visiting daughter who has moved into a new flat in Porirua. The weather wasn't that flash on arrival day, but today dawned bright and clear with almost no wind.
So while the other half had a sleep in, I headed out for a walk to pick up a few local caches. The Kiwi Geotrail puzzles were nearby and so I had made a point of solving them all in the last month, so they were the prime target this morning.
Didn't take long at GZ to locate the cache, despite the quite exposed location and proximity of houses, and I was soon able to sign the log and then replace securely as found. TFTC

Yeeeeeeeehaw. Found it on our 2nd visit. The first visit had the house owner /muggle working in her garden right next to GZ. So had to chuck a u'ey and come back on another day. Today is that day. KTG and I came back and found the same lady / muggle. Luckily she went inside and we could log the find. TFTC
Pleased to have tahi under our belts. After having to give up on the first attempt due to a muggle right at the GZ, and I went back today and had success. Loved the hint - was like a wee puzzle in itself! TFTC. KTG
I am looking forward to solving this series and then finding the caches when I am down visiting family. Tfts
Of course it is, was about to go to the other side, but then I remembered the hint, no problems here, cheers
Out caching with TharntheHalken, doing some more of the Kiwi GT. Found after a short hunt. All good in cache, tftc!

Time to start a Geo Trail I can finish! I have a few solved ones far away and a local one that has missing caches so targeting a completed yellow shape on my map Going through the puzzles in order so started with this one - a great kiwi puzzle totally sets the scene and theme - thank you. This was about the 4th cache pickup of my first run at this trail as I decided to park up and walk the area. Was a good decision. Got to GZ and local muggle trimming hedge super close by. Lots of people out and about but managed to suss out where from afar thanks to hint and then slip in between muggles. Yah No.1 down - rest of the trail to go. Thanks to all the CO's looking forward to this one.
Have spent last week solving these puzzles with just 6 unsolved. Spending the weekend in Porirua so decided to start collecting as many as I can today. Good to find the first one. Cache all fine. Thanks
First find of this series. Straightforward find with hint, thank you. Found with Flossie110.
Wohoo! My first in this series. Very busy here with concrete specialists sitting around not doing a lot! A sneaky find
I'm down in Wellington helping my parents move into their new house. There might be a few more visits in coming years, so I'm making a start on this geotrail! Thanks!
I started trying to solve these puzzles back in August 2019 and, not surprisingly, started at number one. With the solution tucked under my belt I carried on solving a few more, got stuck on some too, and then moved on to other things, with most of the series not even getting looked at and none getting found. However, today was a dot day AND Mrs B wanted to visit Harvey Norman to buy a new Fitbit. I thought I could kill multiple birds with one stone: a) find a cache in this series at last as we'd be driving past (coming from Upper Hutt), b) fill another dot day, c) make Mrs B happy, d) make Harvey Norman in Porirua happy.
After getting the Fitbit (plus one for me too) we drove to park nearby on our way home and while Mrs B started a Sudoku on her phone I hopped out of the car to look for the cache. It wasn't very hard to find, though I wouldn't want to try finding it secretly when there is any coming and going in the nearby houses. However, this morning there were no muggles about while we were there and I soon had the log signed. I needed my tweezers to get the log plastic bag out of the container, but the log is nice and dry.
Then we headed home. I'd solved a few others in the series nearby (including number 2), but I like to leave caches to find for other dot days, especially when I'm with Mrs B: that makes her happy too . Thanks for adopting and looking after this cache SAROC, so the kiwi can stay alive.

Found with 13YO. 13yo has been staying out here during the school holidays and I decided to grab some of these on the way home. Loved the puzzle, who doesnt remember belting this song out at Xmas as a kid(or a big kid) ?! TFTC
Passing through the area so took the opportunity to grab another couple of the series. I solved them all over a brief period of time early last year, but it's taking me far longer to find them. I think this is number 25 of the 61. TFTC.
Even looks at the hint here... Nope don't remember. I'm getting rusty.
I have lost my notebook! When I go on a geotrip I record my finds and notes in a notebook or, as in the case of this big circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki that Taybeedragon and I did over Christmas, in three notebooks. And I have lost notebook number 3 - 29th December onward. Luckily I enter the caches as found on the GPS (helps with avoiding backtracking) so I am using my GPS log to identify which caches I found/DNFed. Alas, however, no cache notes. So it is now March - and I am relying on memory. A fickle thing, memory. I suspect most will have no notes above. Sorry, folks. I mean, I can see the final on the map, and sometimes that sparks a memory, but mostly - no.
Many thanks for a great geoart. I have been saving this for when I can do the whole lot in one day.

Running around Pahatahanui Inlet today to capture a family of Kiwis roaming around here. So #1 of this Geotour is snagged. Left temp RITR log to keep this one rolling along. Cheers
Thanks to The Seagnoid for his puzzle solving abilities.
Day 23 - Saturday, 4 January 2020. Wellington. It the Kiwi series at Paramata today thats been on The Seagnoids 'must do' list for some time. Then The Seagnoid ships out. Sadly our 3 week holiday to Taranaki is over today.

The first one of the kiwi geotrail. Nice easy find. The log is full so will need replacing soon. TFTC
Had fun solving these and coming to find. Found this one quickly. Thought we had been muggled by the lady that comes to live in the house but ended up having a nice chat. Be warned this one may vanish soon as they are doing some landscaping.
Today is the 14th day of our journey to the south island. I had planned to complete the Kiwi Geotrail before we head to Wellington to take the ferry to the south island. Having arrived near the Lake yesterday I was able to pick up seven of the series on our way to the campsite after visiting Rivendell and eating dinner in the Upper Hut area. We spent the night at the edge of the lake and after eating breakfast I started to collect the Kiwi Caches at around 9:30am.
I mannaged to find 55 caches today, 54 of which to complete the Kiwi. It took me a total of 10 1/2 hours to complete the trail at 8:00pm in a rather slow pace.
This was # 47 of 55 caches today. We are now down to the last 10 caches to complete this trail. A quickly solved puzzle a few weeks ago led to a quick find today. Tftc.

Team GST (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ) got together again for another caching trip. This time with a focus on finding all the Porirua Kiwi GeoTrail. We had a lovely drive around the area over 8 hours in which I found 70 caches. The parking at times was quite tricky and crossing the busy road was even worse but we all ended the day mostly unharmed (except for a few scratches from gorse).
I started solving all the kiwi caches only 2 weeks before our trip. Fortunately most of them were quite straight forward and the information that was required was almost immediately obvious.
#55 of 70 today. Very exposed on this section of road and limited parking locations available. Fortunately this cache was seen while walking up to GZ so we made a quick grab, signed the log and carried on.

# 1582 Team GST has assembled again (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ), for another caching mission. Mission for today was to finally finish the Porirua Kiwi, something I had solved about 5 years ago and have slowly worked towards finishing. Today would bring an end to that work. All up I found 28 caches today, and only 1 DNF, so unfortunately the kiwi is still unfinished but a sight closer than it was. We did the loop clockwise, and I feared for my life with some of the parking places and road crossings but all and all, it is well achievable to visit all 61 kiwis in the space of 7 or so hours. Thanks to the creators and maintainers of this series, it is a fantastic piece of geoart that still brings people to the region!
The four caches on this road made me nervous because they are so exposed. I wasnt able to find this one on my first pass a few years ago, but Stardust had the nerve and was right in there. Glad to knock this one off finally.

I was out and about today as part of Team GST (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ), working our way around the Pauatahanua Inlet finding all the Porirua Kiwi GeoTrail series of puzzle caches, plus a few selected others along the way.
In spite of the recent bad weather, we were lucky enough to have mainly sunshine today although the blowing southerly certainly left the air very fresh at times. I had already found a few of this series, as had Gr33nslime, but for the sake of ease whilst logging, all logs today were signed 'Team GST' regardless of whether we had found them before or not.
In spite of having lived in Whitby for 4 years a while back, I had never driven down this road before. I must admit that whilst it kinda makes sense from a "having to hide 61 caches in an urban setting" point of view, it felt a bit exposed being here. We decided to drive to the end and work our way back, so this was the first of the ones along here we attempted. We could see the hiding spot immediately, and it was a very quick recovery and log signing before heading on to the next one.
Thanks for the Puzzle, and the cache. A great way to help me celebrate 2 years of caching.

This was the ninth day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. I had to leave Wellington today after a very enjoyable Mega.
One of these days, I will try to complete the entire series. For this trip down Wellington, I had to settle for just the first one. TFTC.

Today was the last official day of the Mega.
Plans were to collect as many puzzle caches that we had solved in the area plus anything else that came along.
Most of the puzzles were road side witch was extremely busy so parking in some cases were peoples driveways and balancing on road edges and some we didn't go for as they were to difficult to get to. Another day and we have to return.
Al in all a very successful day. SLTFTC

Attending the Wellington MEGA, was great to visit from the sunny Bay of Plenty, my finds have been found with my team, and signed TEAM BOP, to save room on logs. We are really enjoying ourselves and its great to see so many different sights. Please excuse my generic logging in advance and there are sooo many logs to do. Many thanks to all you cache owners out there for all your hard work. Cheers. Hard case getting muggled by a party goer wondering what we were up to, being a lil intoxicated, he didnt really get it. LOL, Cheers.
TFTC. Kiwi GeoTrail was oe of the targets for three keen MEGA attendees. KotukuSI and warfi were great companions and puzzle solvers in prep for this adventure.
We manged to complete the caches in a day (minus 2) and were truely warn out after our activities.
thanks to the original placer and the cachers who have taken over maintainence of the trail.

WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... Our big focus for today will be to clear out the Kiwi Geo Art trail around the Pauatahanui Basin. We are expecting some challenges here - narrow roads and lots of muggles. With Gap (of Fap and Gap), NZFlossy, and McJandals...
Sunday: We were a little more relaxed today, since there were no pressures to be at certain places on time... We enjoyed solving each of the puzzles in this series. Each one provided just the right amount of challenge. What a great variety of authentic kiwiana puzzles...
We managed to find most of the Kiwis in their hides. Some were in a lot better condition than others, and we can imagine how challenging it might be to maintain some of them. We found the speed and flow of traffic, and tight parking made things difficult at times. We learnt to be resourceful and resilient as the day drew on. In all, thanks to each of the COs for your input into this series... Apologies for the cut and paste logs. TFTP and TFTC.
Great hint... Party central up on the point tonight.

Out caching the GeoArt with warfi & purdiepurdie; past the middle of the day & collective enthusiasm was waning a bit...
We had solved these puzzles over the last little while in anticipation of the Mega, but I wouldn't generally recommend doing them all in 1 hit ! The "northern wing" was definitely more fun than the southern side.
Thanks for maintaining these caches, SAROC.

Was glad to grab this one and move on quite a few people gathering in the area, and we felt a bit exposed.
Attending the mega with TeamBOP. Great time to catch up with other cachers and visit Wellington lLots of fun and laughs while finding lots of great caches Thanks to all the COs for providing all the caches and the work that goes into them. Sorry for the generic logs will try to add to them once back home Thanks
20 October 2018 9:17 AM Cache #1 0f the Wellington Mega. Trying for 11 cache types today. Mystery tick. TFTC created by XboomstickX & SAROC
Nanzie and I solved all of the trail in preparation for the Mega trip, now its time to see how many we can find. Thanks for the trail

I joined geocaching in June 2014 and solved this puzzle in May 2015. I'm glad most of the puzzles haven't changed in that time. I'm enjoying my day out exploring this area with my usual caching buddy graciesGPSfun and my traveling companion thegreatauk. Thanks again for taking over parts of this series
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. Today we were targeting the Kiwi GeoTrail and trying to get fifty in a day which we just managed. This happened to include a lo of driving back and forth around the inlet and getting other side caches. but we managed a few walks in between for some of the other caches. Thanks to everyone who is maintaining these caches and keeping them going.
39th of the kiwi geoart puzzle day with gely57. Gely57 had previously searched for this with no luck. Easily found this time. TFTC.
Found it out with the family. Delayed logging it due to being busy. TFTC
A quick find with the Geofamily. I thought something else was the treasure. TFTC
Off on the geotrail I go! Felt very exposed here but I found the cache quickly enough, thank Jesus.
As I stayed in the campervan at Nga ti toa with the aim of getting most of these kiwi puzzle caches. I biked around the inlet signing off the logs as I went
Many thanks for maintening these caches as I had worked most of them out in 2013 and was pleased to see them mostly up to date

Found with Nick McNui.
Last time I attempted this some time ago it had been muggled, it was exactly where I looked then. Thanks for replacing it.
No problems today, I thought there might be muggle issues here on a Saturday around midday but all quiet.

After looking for awhile I managed to find the cache, we didn't understand the hint until we actully found the cache! TFTC
Out with NZ1 and NZREF on a wet morning. Good opportunity to get a few solved caches of the series found. No luck here today.
#338. My second KGT of the day, fourth in total so far & as the first of this trail, earns a FP. Lovely morning to go caching & this one was well themed & hinted. My grandchildren love this version of the 12 days of Xmas. Tftc XbX & Saroc.
I had a leave pass from 4 year old duties so headed out this way to complete some more of the GeoArt.
Nice and quiet here today. I imagine that it could get rather muggly at times.

MAIN LOG AT Kiwi geotrail No1 - this trail was one of the must-do items during our NZ trip as DD had managed to solve a fair proportion of them, and we wanted to have even a part of a kiwi in smilies On our geomaps! We even walked to all we found today although this was perhaps not really advisable as at times the road was very busy
Favourite point - really enjoyed today with wonderful scenery, many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

out with Red Roaming as we continue our tour of New Zealand as my 'reward' for taking early retirement. (Yes I have to go back doing 23 hrs per week). Logs signed DD & RR. I had solved some of these prior to coming here and we both wanted to get some 'kiwi art' on our map. This was soon found at GZ. MTFTC and the puzzle
Solved this puzzle during our holidays We found the cache, thanks for the riddle and the cache, greetings from Switzerland.
Found with nzphoenix on a beaut weekend. Had to read previous comments to get a hand but was relatively easy and obvious once you hunt around a bit. Does seem like someone's garden so we tried to be really quick! tftc
Have solved the entire series but only able to pick up a couple today when heading back to the naki. A neat series and I look forward to completing it I e day.
I have a goal today and to help me reach that goal Watcache was nice enough to keep my company while I work towards my goal of reaching 3000 caches.
The plan was hatched and the caches we wanted for your goals were noted and the order to do them in we set off around 10.30am weather was in our favor with only a couple of drops here and there and got home close to midnight, goal reached and one good sleep was much needed.
thank you for taking the time to place the cache, we enjoyed visiting each one of them, we will need another plan to come back and grab some more.

We set off mid morning to get some caches in the Wellington area Mr Watcache worked this one out a long time ago but today we finally got some time to get this one. It was a nice quick find what a busy road, lucky we got a park easy enough and no muggles looking at us. Thank you for the cool puzzle and placing a cache here. signed the log and placed the cache back where we found it. What a great day for caching not too hot and just a slight breeze. I'm caching with Marisa and Kaleb they are on a mission to get 3000 caches today so I tagged long to help them achieve their goal. TFTPC. now onto the next cache.
I have started on this trail. This is my third one. Fine morning for a drive to this location. I specially liked the two little signs that had been placed by the cache!
Thank you
