Found the magnetic circle but no cache unfortunately. Looks like there has been recent activity, including some lost property, so who knows. Good luck to the next cachers, I'll keep a watch so we can come back. For both creek 1 and 2 which is also reporting a DNF.

It is with sadness that I am archiving this cache, the location is lovely but due to repeatedly replacing stolen caches and this being the 5th location in this park I have tried, I must just let it go as a place destined to not have one any longer. There is no container here anymore

One last cache in down town Canungra before moving on. A cool little spot where we spotted a little snake swimming in the creek.

Not a fan of the placement of this cache given the other possible hides in the vicinity. Ah well; it got us to visit and I don't think too many of the passing muggles looked at us!!!

We were on a caching visit to Canungra and this was next on our list. We left the car at D J Smith Memorial Park and set off for a little walk.
We basically walked straight up to it, checked no passing cars before retrieval of cache.
Paper work done and cache replaced as found and we were off to #2.

Few muggles in sight, I took my chances and went for this cache.
Managed to find the cache without being approached by the community guard

Got it! Finally stopped long enough in Canungra to grab a cache loved the creek walk

After a quick drive up Mount Tamborine, we decided to go for this cache, and it's neighbour 500m away. This one didn't take too long. The geoson found it quickly. There was a 500 Dong coin in there. Not often one caches and gets some dong! We replaced the container after all the formalities were performed, and walked along the creek towards the next one. Thanks SaintsMadHouse!

We decided to drive to O'Reillys for lunch and pick up some caches along the way. Lots of traffic but a good park and grab. TFTC SaintsMadHouse

Auf der Weiterreise aus dem Regenwald, der echt ziemlich cool war, ging es die Kurvenstrecke entlang, diesmal bei Tageslicht und blieb dank der Caches wesentlich kurzweiliger als bei der Hinfahrt. Den haben wir gut gefunden.

Abreisetag Richtung Brisbane. Da der Weg vom O'Reilly's bis nach Brisbane nicht sehr lang ist, haben fazzyOne und ich uns entschieden heute mal wieder einen richtigen Cache-Tag einzulegen. Dafür haben wir uns einige Caches auf dem Weg und einen Powertrail im Wald herausgesucht. Erstaunlicherweise konnten wir tatsächlich alle Dosen finden, die wir gesucht haben. [:o] Allerdings wurden wir leider auch gefunden - von einigen Zecken. Zum Glück hat sich scheinbar keine festgesetzt. Danke für diesen sehr erfolgreichen (und sehr heißen!) Tag.

Spent the long weekend at the top of the mountain and found a few of the caches on the way down.
A few cars in the carpark, but the people were nowhere to be seen. So I made a quick grab.

Down this way today with Bristracker pciking up a few caches on the way to another Hinterland roundup event. Always good to have a cache in exactly the place you expect. TFTC

Day 23 Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. We camped at Dalveen on the granite belt last night, narrowly missing a really good storm. Today we travelled on to Canungra where we are attending an event tomorrow.

It is a standard hide, but what a lovely description in the hint. As usual I am sitting around waiting for the log to dry a little bit in the sun. Gosh the bats are squabbling.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** Found this cache exactly where the GPS said we should be looking. It was in a well hidden spot. Difficult to keep the search hidden from muggles and took a while to find the right moment.

We were hoping that it was not going to be hidden where the workers were cleaning the path under the bridge, and to our delight, the GPSr's little arrow started to point way over to our left and then with perfect co-ords the cache was found

After getting up early this morning to get photos of the lunar eclipse/blood moon, I decided to keep going and do the other thing I love doing.... Geocaching.
Came out this way to get a few unique D/T rating caches that I needed.
After pulling the pin on my target cache, had to stop for one more cache on my way home.
The hint had me wondering where the heck is it but realised they are three separate words when I found this cache.
SL while crouched down behind the bushes so the passing traffic didn't see me looking out of place. Returned cache as found.

I am sure that we tried this cache once before (a couple of years ago), but the cache logs don't say that we did. I remember Mr EMC going underneath and looking but perhaps he got muggled out and couldn't search because there is no DNF on it for us and we would certainly have put one as we always log our non finds. Anyway, today we had the opportunity of looking in the new location and that was nice and easy for us. Cache was quickly spotted by Mrs EMC - the little chikins have cache blindness as they both swore to me it wasn't in there. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache SaintsMadHouse.

#8227 - 14:15; Staying in Broadbeach and enjoying a bit of warmer weather and surf with the geotribe as we escape the Canberra winter. Today we headed for Tamborine Mountain and a journey through the hinterland with stops at North Tamborine, Curtis Falls and Canungra as we made our way around. Being our first time into town we knew we were close because suddenly the traffic was increasing and slowing. After finding the cache in between bouts of traffic we had to make a decision on whether to leave the car here and walk to a cafe or drive round the corner and find a lazy park in the Main Street. We should have left the car here because we lazied into town to find there wasn’t a car park anywhere to be had and we ended up parking further away from anything than this cache was. I suppose we had to let every know that we were tourists.

The BBQ built into the rocks was very cool as was the rock impressions of platypus nearby. My autocorrect kept changing the word “platypi” which was starting to annoy me until I discovered it isn’t actually a word. tftc

I was camped with a motor-homing group at the Showgrounds and thought I'd check out the geocaching in Canungra. This one fell to my search easily. All clean and dry. TFTC

Out for the day with mum and we decided to stop here for a cuppa before heading back through the gorge to 'Games City'. This was a very peaceful stop. I remember finding a cache here very early in my caching 'career' almost, it was hidden under the leaf litter of one of the silky oaks. I tried to see if I can identify that tree but the place has changed so much and those trees have really grown.

Anyway, after we had finished and our shelter shed companions had gone elsewhere, we decided to follow the area to find the cache. I admit to admiring the container - a very good use for these. Log signed, we waiting for the appropriate moment to return it and alas it was off again. I would have liked to do the other in this series but we needed to get mum home.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.

Staying a few days in Canungra, we decided to head out and explore the surrounding area using Geocaching as a guide, before the predicted afternoon thunderstorms.

6937 Located by baby&Mrs gopher 0910. After a night staying in Canungra it is time to head further north. Stopped in the parking area and went for a walk along the pathway. It appears we are the first to find in the new location. As said if the flood gets this high we'll all be ruined. SL Tnx SaintsMadHouse

We have had to replace this with a different and larger container and move it a flood free spot. If it gets wet now the entire town is in trouble.

Sad to say I found 2 pieces of the cache lying on the ground nearby, no log or other container so I was unable to sign it. I looked about for any sign of log and container but none popped up in front of me. Muggles take the fun out of geocaching. Put the 2 pieces that I found back where I thought they should be, sorry I had no paper with me to leave in cache. TFTC

After a few days camping up on Green Mountain with lots of hiking I needed a walk to loosen up stiff joints and sore muscles. Breakfast at Canungra and a couple nearby with a short walk...perfect. Left the car outside the cafe in town and did a walk to the bridge and under which brought me almost on top of this hide. Deed done and re-hidden. Thanks SaintsMadHouse

Lots of muggles around today so didn't give it our best. Luckily kids with me so climbing over rocks is a pretty natural thing to be doing. Will come back on a quieter day
