I don't understand how ppl can 'forget' to put logs back in the containers!! I will do maintenance ASAP but if the next finder can put in a nano log in the meantime that would be super. Thanks

I planned to do some caching down the peninsula, but ended up starting closer to home and never actually ended up very far down. And the PLT series figured very highly in the caches - 15 out of 27 found. This was the second cache I found, but not the second one attempted.

Thanks to cathylmorgan and Julz76 for the cache.

25-Aug-13
Needs new log

13-Aug-13
Coming back another day Smile

29-Jul-13
It looked like the best day of the week, so we got the deadly treadlies out, and headed down to the Peninsula Link Trail. Bettyboo3747 and I joined many other bike riders (and walkers) using this trail today.
Seeing there was supposed to be a northerly wind we started on the southern end so we would have a tail wind coming home. Of course the wind turned as we were coming back! Smile
Very droll! Smile
A quick find after a few DNFs, this one put a smile back on our dials.
Thanks, Robmc.

29-Jul-13
# 3759. Robmc and I headed down this way to make the most of the winter sunshine and lovely day to do some of the PLT. We parked at this end so we could head north and return with a tail wind (hopefully).

We had two DNF's just before this one so we were pleased to find this amusing hide. Funnee! Onwards we go. TFTC

ABL973 found this while out caching with Square_Pegs. I brought a few travel bugs with me which will visit this cache. The weather has been much better than I expected, although it has been quite cool. Thanks to for placing this cache.

05-May-13
Having left this one while heading in the other direction to put some space between us and some slowly meandering muggles, we pulled up to an empty GZ this time and spotted this funny little fellow. Thanks for the cache.

Find # 2796
Date 27th Apr 2013
Time 9:33 AM

After a quick decision between myself and my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave, it was decided we would throw the bikes on the back of the car and head for the newly created Peninsula Link Trail as well as a number of other caches in the area including another cache crossed off our D / T matrix, AKA "Project81". Dave picked me up at 7AM and we were on the trail by just after 8AM.

This one was another that there could really be only one place to hide it, a quick find.

Thanks to cathylmorgan & Julz76 for the cache.

Found @0930 #2758
What better then to do a power trail on a long weekend!Big Grin Today's weather looked ideal but there was a mention of windy conditions in the afternoon which was a killer on the ride back to the car. Joining me today was my caching wingman and mate Ahomburg who was also keen for some numbers too. We started at the north end of the trail, parking close to PLT - Wee One but failed to final the northerest one and well after 20mintues decided to head south see if our luck would improve. Four hours later we had completed all the caches even the 3 newer placed ones just past Frankston Flinders road. Looks like this trail will expand even further south as other sections are open up. It was a great morning and only took about 1 hour to get back to the card pushing hard against the 40km/h head wind.[xx(] Great hides of different styles seen today which was great too.Big Grin Many Thanks to Cathylmorgan & Julz76 for the huge effort in establishing this epic series. Awesome! Razz

27-Apr-13
Didn't expect to find one of those!

26-Apr-13
A nice mild night so what better thing to do at 2:30 am than hop on the bike and ride 5km along the Peninsula Link Trail to find some more of the PLT series of caches, as well as a couple of trads along the way. The caches along the trail have been great fun finding and I have done many with my two boys who have thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the cache finding. With them fast asleep, I was on my own tonight and I only had trouble with finding one of the ten caches. Only six more to go after tonight (until they extend the trail). Thanks.

Found in a matter of minutes by Mummy again. How observant! Great cache container. Found, signed and re-hid before any muggles appeared.

No sooner had the GPSr advised we were within 50m than M had found the hide. He definitely has a knack for sniffing out caches. Keeping the cache hidden from our site, and chuckling loudly, he approached saying "Its up the ??? alright!" lol. Extracted the log easy enough but getting it back in was a little more difficult. Got there in the end. lol. TNLNSL TFTC KeMS

A great day for a bike ride, so why not couple it with a bit of caching. Set off and yes it was a great day for a ride, lots of Muggles thought so also! The Muggle factor was without doubt the most difficult factor of the day.
This was a quick easy and yes amusing find. TFTC

The first cache container I have ever seen that can't sit down.
Easy find on a quiet Saturday afternoon.

29-Mar-13
Ah yes I remember this one, I think we both agreed the co-ords were a fair way out but in the end the cache was found and logged. Thanks ladies for the cache.

29-Mar-13
This was the first of many containers that made us smile... we wondered if the owner had gone through all the kids' toys and selected those that were suitable as cache containers? Wink. TFTC

29-Mar-13
Found with lochb - who I believe made the actual find. The cache name was immediately apparent and I was wondering if I hadn't seen this one before in another guise (GCA Bingo cache perhaps?). The first of the PLT "variety" caches that made what could have been a routine power trail a lot more fun. What will they do next? Smile

25-Mar-13
The Demolition Crew (TDC) met up for another legendary day/night caching run, this time focusing on the PLT (Peninsula Link Trail) in the Melbourne SE area. Bikes were deployed for this, and are becoming a big feature of our caching, which is fantastic. A great variety of hides were found, and some good numbers for the night, as well as some other caches around the area besides the PLT ones. My thanks to the cache owners for their efforts in placing the caches.

Enjoyed the trail and varitey of caches very much. Another quick find here. TFTC.

25-Mar-13
A quick find here so we moved off to the next at break neck speed.

Run Summary
----------------------
We've been looking at PLT series for a while now, and decided to take a ride to pick them up tonight. The new link is a great asset and speeds up access to the Mornington Peninsula. The Demolition Crew have used it extensively in the late early hours of the morning to return home. At this time it has no cars on it. That's the way we like it Wink
So once again we are down here collecting caches and having a great ride. Thanks to the CO for all there efforts.

After I parked up its only 400m away so take off 'running' When I get there to utter joy it's my first ever 'FTF'!!!!!!!

A big thank you to cathlmorgan for this one & the whole series. A fav from me.
