We had just finished lunch after completing the circuit walk while finding a few caches around St George's Lake so decided to stop by here to look at the view and hopefully find this cache, which we did obviously. Apparently our friends who were with us had already found this previously (back in 2022 according to the cache logbook) but the plonkers had forgotten to officially log it as a find with the Geocaching site. Tut! I shall advise them of their oversight so they will probably enter this as find today as they will not be able to remember the exact date of the original find.TFTC
Currently staying at the timeshare resort in Kyneton. After a few days of Family engagements, today we had a free day and headed to Creswick. After completing the loop walk around Lake St George and picking up the 4 caches along the way and one of the letterbox caches we stopped in here to check out "Blue Waters" before heading back to Kyneton. What an amazing spot, a place which we would never have found or knew existed if it hadn't been for caching. The cache was a quick easy find. Thanks for placing this cache to show us more of the area. TNLNSL.
TFTC. Setting up camp for a week in Murray Bridge before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Moving to Ballarat for another week afterwards. Last hurrah travelling before wooding season at home starts!Happy caching and safe travels!
What another cool spot!! A great little lake I had no idea was there!! I have now also finished the track between White Swan Road and Creswick Bungaree Road!! Im pretty stoked!!! Thank you to all who have placed caches along the Goldfields track!! I may have called it the Wallaby track on occasions as that is what its called on the map while chasing these caches!! TFTC!!!
Thanks for the memories! It's been a long time since I've been out to bluewaters, definitely beinging back memories of my teenage years!A lovely spot for a walk. Nelzarama wasn't too keen to grab the cache from It's location (lala) so I did the hard yards. Signed and replaced, thanks for taking me back!
Tangentgoat being a local was familiar already with this location so was happy to navigate us here. Once we arrived we skirted around some fencing and the cache was quickly located. The blue waters were cool to see and interesting to see some structures in the water too. TFTC
Day 2 of getting sidetracked from completing the Ballarat GeoTour. I enjoyed my walk around the Koala reserve so much yesterday that today i thought i would return to do some more walking. The plan was to walk/cache for 4 hours and then take 2 hours to return. At 12 p.m., I decided i wanted to keep going rather than retrace my steps, so i organised a pick up at the other end. I parked the Geo Van at St Georges Lake at started my walking at 8am. (I had the whole kit on including gaiters and hiking pole). This was one of the caches I found today. Loved the view
A great spot for a cache which I’ve had on my to do list for quite sometime now
so pleased to see a smiley .
A beautiful view of the lovely water
A quick find. Signed log and replaced where found
A favourite point from me
Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment stashaa

Found and signed log at 2:10pm as we set off to get Signal back on the move. I never knew this blue waters existed, but 63 years ago Mark and his forestry mates used to come here to swim. Thanks for another cache stasha!
Well, that was a surprise. Being new to the area I didn't know 'blue waters' was here, but I can see why the locals call it that. It certainly was a great visual as I approach. The cache was found without issue and I then a spent a few minutes looking around the area.
Thanks for showing me the area stashaa. Fav point for the area.

Cache found without any troubles, although there is what looks to be a new barrier fence installed to stop people getting too close to the cliff edges,
Not a problem though and easy enough to walk around.
Thanks for the cache, all looks to be in good working condition!..

Very scenic spot on a beautiful day! Enjoying our long weekend hanging in Creswick and this was worth the stop. TFTC
Found while out and about exploring in the area. A great not too difficult in a high clearance vehicle track. Thanks for the placement of these caches.
I wouldn't call the water blue by any means but a nice spot nonetheless. Thanks for the cache
Found with LCPLGarmin. Blue view at midday at 30 degree. Nice little detour. TFTC
Found with SpunkyChunkyMonkey. In hindsight we should've kept Junior LCPL-Garmin on a leash when I looked for this one!!! TFTC
Who knew this spot was here!? Awesome, no wonder the FPs.
Glad left the kids in the car, that's a really big drop there. A peaceful spot here, would love to come back and do the walk some day.

Out for the day with the Jackos exploring the Creswick area.
By late afternoon we had explored some forests and walked around St George's Lake. Still, there were more interesting places to discover like this blue lake. The blue tinge is quite fascinating - maybe coloured mineral water will be a thing one day commercially!
Thanks stashaa.

The last day in Ballarat after the geo tour launch event.
On my own today, so I did a mixture of AdLabs and bike riding.
Interesting coloured water.
My starting point for a ride today.
Thanks, Robmc.

The plan today was a tour of Ballan, Mt. Buninyong, Ballarat and Creswick via Adventure Labs and other assorted types of geocaches. Our last stretch of the day involved caching through the Creswick trails until we reached too many campers to continue! Thanks for the cache stashaa.

Wow... 2 December! When did that happen? After finishing off the Christmas caches it was back to complete the rail trail which was partly completed last visit and a few other caches before heading home.
What a lovely blue lake. Such a shame people dump rubbish in it. Would have been a nice spot to camp in the day. Quick find at this location.
Thanks stashaa for the cache.

Camping nearby and I read there’s a pretty blue lake to see. There sure is albeit a little bit of rubbish. Whilst I admired the view roaming Howie had already found and signed this cache so quickly.
Found the medium cache at 4:16pm on our way back home to Bendigo after an enjoyable time in Creswick doing lots of walks. the water does have a blue tinge. Took a travel bug. TFTC

Finally we are able to get out and about so we headed for Mt.Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick.
We had finished at Mount Beckworth, we had also cached out the town of Clunes so now it was on to Creswick and then home.
Before the day began, we intended on find a number of the goldfields track series but time has got away from us so we didn’t get many at all, the one was at the start of were we entered so we had to have a look, the cache was eventually found after a bit of an excavation.
**Thanks to stashaa for placing this cache.**

Traditional Find #2813**
I headed out with Steve on our first caching run since before the second lockdown. Ballarat, Mount Beckworth, Clunes and Creswick were our targets for today. The water here was more green than blue but the cache was found in due course.

Awesome also whhhhhat the thing says that the a trackable but there isn't one in there
Up this way from Melbourne to do some Goldfields area exploring and caching.
We stopped here after letting the kids get wet in the new water play park in Creswick.
Met a work colleague there by chance that I hadn't seen for over six years. We had a great catchup and then time to start caching.
A nice spot here. There were lots of campers around the lake for the Australia Day long weekend.
thanks for the cache stashaa

Tftc staasha quick find after showing my niece the beautiful lake. Pitty about the rubbish in the lake. Reminds me of Canada or somewhere like that.
Heading to St. Arnaud for the mega event. Day 70 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 1 for the day and 1939 for the trip. TFTC
Looking for a few more caches to complete the Mystery at the Museum Challenge. We stopped to collect this drive-by after completing the Loop Walk around St George’s Lake. SL at 10.15am and collected a geocoin and and a TB - bonus. This would have to be the easiest stashaa cache we have ever attempted!! The Blue Lake definitely looks green on this dull and rainy morning. #6407 TFTC stashaa
We were up in Ballarat for the weekend for a Christmas in July dinner with friends last night and today we were going around to different areas collecting numbers for the Sudoku cache. However we could only find 2 caches for the day as that would put us on 5999 ready for our 6000th next weekend. We chose this cache because it was one of the jewels we need for the Mystery at the Museum. Once we were brave enough to go where the gps was leading us, we saw stunning views. Simply gorgeous! Dropped 2 TB’s

We have driven past here so many times and never new the lake was there. Admittedly, today it was more green than blue. We did have to cross the fence but the cache was just a short distance beyond and nowhere near that scary cliff edge.
We dropped off a travel bug we’d picked up in the U.K. recently to continue on its travels.
Thanks

FTC. Time to rectify a blue face and convert to a smilie. We were due in Ballarat this afternoon for an event. We left Maryborough early so that we could cache our way down. It took 5 hours to travel to the event. We rectified a couple of blue faces and found some others caches that we had previously searched for.
Having completed the St George s Lake series we drove directly to this location. We both reckoned the water was more green . The cache was quickly located,

Nice view though [^]

Heard about this place for years and finally checked it out today. It did not disappoint! That colour is something else. Easy find with Jojo
Also left a trackable I picked up on Mount Korong.

Found while in the area, we finally managed to add this smile, as we had a DNF last time we were here, so glad to be able to sign the log, thanks for the cache and the fun
I remember coming here for year 7 camp day trip in 1992. It hasn't changed much at all
With a stupid o'clock start for a flash mob in Geelong, Ausfox;, Neville_devil and myself headed Ballarat and Creswick way in search of as many Regular size caches as we could find for the day. The things you do for challenge caches [:o].
The cache was found in quick time allowing us the chance to check out the blue waters. On a fresh morning the perfectly still water was reflecting like a mirror.
Thank you stashaa for bringing us here

I joined up with Simsfamily and Neville Devil after a 3am flash mob in Geelong and made our way to Creswick to search out regular size caches and others in between.
The lake was showing its colours today once we made our way to GZ.

First find for 2018 (I've had a dysfunctional gps for months). Good to be back in the game. Thanks
After a couple of caches in the morning, then lunch in Creswick, it's time to gab a few more before we head home out of the heat. There were a few muggles below us doing the some in the 'Blue Waters' but I'm not sure I'd want to join them.
The cache was discovered safe and sound and in good condition.
