No luck for me here today. Searched both specimens, there was a suitable hiding spot right where the GPSr was pointing me but nothing there. Either I'm blind or stupid (or both!) or the cache has gone.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to call time on this one (unless you could give me some extra clue(s)) I have been 5 times over the last year to no avail. We can find both trees but no sign of a cache. It is there as people are logging finds I must need to go to specsavers
Our first dnf in Timmers. Don't want to leave on a negative though. Onwards and upwards.
On the way to Oamaru picking up a few caches to assist with our self imposed "Road to 6,000" Challenge
DNF.

Temporary new cache after messaging CO.
Original MIA and he has asked me to pop something in to keep cache active until he comes through to Timaru.
Sorry I did not get to find the original one.
Please make sure lid is on tight so lid stays dry.

Went to GZ and had a look at both trees with the cache name, but we just could not see anything. On the uphill one there was some chocolates laying on the floor by the tree. Probably gould do with a check, or any chance of an idea what and where the cache is. Cheers
A nice quick find. Spotted it straight away and left it for chiko1 to grab and she nearly shit herself well worth the laugh. Tftc found with Rayzr2 who had previously found this one and chiko1
Had a couple of hours to spare so went for a walk in the gardens ;; nice spot and a neat cache, thanx for bringing me here Thanx4tc
Looked for this one long and hard back in February. Visiting the South Island again and this time it was such a quick find. It turns out there are two Arbutus unedo trees and we had been fossicking around the wrong one last time. Good to claim this smiley, thanks drawp.
#12503. It was good to be able to stretch our legs en route back to CHC. TFTC.
Found while heading back to Christchurch after spending Queens Birthday weekend in Oamaru. As we spent most of the morning in Oamaru, we had to curtail our caching activities en route, limiting to mainly drive bys with the occasional little detour.
Always enjoy visiting the gardens but ran out of time on the drive south on Saturday. We made the time today. Found a nearby park and walked down to GZ, where StreetWalker soon found the cache - pleased he was the one that made the discovery and not me . TFTC.

Found some left over Easter eggs after an abandoned Easter hunt, and this cool cache! The kids loved it!
What a fun cache! Thanks for the hide. Took nothing left nothing. Signed the log.
Early morning stroll in the gardens led me to this unique cache. What a fun container. Thanks for the cache. Signed the log with BB.
TFTC SL. I don't quite know what to say about this cache but it certainly made my day. Can't say I love the container but it did make me jump and laugh at myself.! ! ! !
We stay two nights in Pleasant Point, and today we went to Timaru. On our way we found some caches here in the Botanic Garden.

Lovely Summer evening in Timaru. I chatted with the parrots in the aviary, admired the flowers and picked up some caches. This one is very clever.

First for the day on our trip down from Ashburton to Dunedin. Quick one here, TFTC
It took us a wee while to find this cute cache. As the log was falling apart, we replaced it. Worth a favourite. TFTC
Searching in the wrong area is never goi g to find the cache especially because of the numerous figs TFTC
Took a while cos phone was all over the place! Great park. Thanks for the hide. TFTC
TFTC Found while taking a group girls from Waitaki Girls High School geocaching as part of their activities week.
Traveling South with Injeanious from Chch to Dunedin for a weekend visit. We found the most caches in one day ever, for us going down, then did even better on the return trip heading back up State Highway 1. TFTC!!
A quick find during our stop over in Timaru. Interesting container. Covered him up so he wouldn't catch the eye of any muggles. Tftc.
I am spending a day or three in Timaru and hopefully signing off a few caches.
Cheers for the cache.

A quick find during a fleeting visit to Timaru on a frosty morning. I suspected I would find something like this from the entry - but this BIG and colourful.
Log is stuck in the bottom, and with frozen fingers and by torch unable to retrieve. Have a photo as evidence of find - no spoilers but happy to send to the CO.
Sorry I couldn't see more of the GZ in the dark. TFTC

Quick find while in Timaru with my 7 mth old visiting his grandparents - my son's second cache Tried to find this last time I was in town but it was missing. Fed the ducks and watched them slipping on the ice over parts of the pond. TFTC
I love this cache! So creative! Not going to lie, did get a bit of fright haha TFTC
There we are wondering where on earth the gps thought it was going...despite calibration it was happily pointing all over the place while counting down in the opposite direction. . Then Mrs ANZ reads re description. .struggling to pronounce a familiar sounding word.... arbutus. ... now that made sense. ..I know exactly what that means. .It was one of my favorites when I studied botany...and ping there is the cache...just like one of mine in fact. ..
The possible hides on or around the trees are empty, no cache to log for me if the cache is hidden according to the picture, the owner should control it...
On our travelling in New Zealand, we found this cache. Thanks a lot, Cheers from Switzerland

Went to the gardens for lunch, not even intending to cach, but thought I should check for any nearby and there was one, 30 m away. Thanks
