**19,869**So, after getting a bit more intel from a previous finder we made one last attempt at this one and thankfully Mr Geckoh finally put his hand on the well concealed cache (made harder to find in the wet weather and dim light - or at least thats what we are claiming). TFTC
Hint made no sense to us and the rummaging around in wet undergrowth and agapanthus was most unpleasant so its a DNF for us!
Last find today while clearing out some east Tawa hides. Nice quick find - looks like I'm finder #100. No sign of any neighbours. TFTC.
I'd put off looking for this cache as I was a little concerned after reading about the police note, but I need not have worried as it was a nice quick find for me on a quiet, hidden path. TFTC
Out picking up a few caches with matagouri today. This one was found after a short search. I had to laugh at the police card that was left in here back in 2013? Great stuff! Thanks for setting this up
After a DNF last time I was here, I returned today with rattll. A quick find in the good weather today. Always pleased to turn blue to yellow. Tftc!
As I drove to this site, I believed I was making a second attempt to find a cache I had previously DNFed. However, I soon discovered this was a place I had not been to before. It took me a few minutes to work out where the treasure was hidden. The cache and contents (including the business card) remain in very good condition. I wish our geofoodle was able to sniff out well hidden caches.
My brother and I are down from Auckland for the Annual Central Easter Camp in Fielding. Of Course we are Geocaching along the way!
This is cache 4 of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Today we were out to explore Wellington, and pick up some caches! This was the first of the day. After looking in the wrong place, and Mr F sure it will be in a gorse bush (which it’s not), I found it! Love the police note! TFTC!

Out with KiwiKatieG for a morning of some caching. Nice and easy find. Just took a little while to zone in on the actual hiding place. TFTC
The lovely took the hit on this one, doing the majority of the hunting while I read logs for clues. After getting the feeling we knew where it would be, we stuck with looking there for a good while and found it without too much trouble and only a few scratches. FP for the note
Quick find while in the area — only a few prickles and no muggles. Thanks for the old one i5badass!
Time for another go at this one and finally I found it. I had a good rummage around where I thought it might be based on thinking about the area since my DNF. But after concluding it was definitely not there I figured I should try the other side of the track. I remember looking there on my first visit but found nothing but this time I spotted something almost immediately. Just the one strand of annoying blackberry to contend with. The cache is well hidden to be sure but the hide actually pretty logical. Glad to have finally turned this blue frown yellow. I'm also glad I don't "have" to come here again. TFTC.
I’m trying for a seven day streak, so popped in here before heading to the railway station on the way to work. Alas, I couldn’t understand the hint and find the cache, even with another hint from a previous finder. I spent a good half hour looking, prodding and poking with rusty pole before I had to deposit for the train. I’m sure it’s here somewhere. I’ll think of something else for today!
Very well hidden, watch out for little pricks. Great to see the nz police have a sense of humor.
Looked everywhere ... could not find the cache, even with the clues ? Cool track though.
Found with aeshna_uk. This is one of those caches I kind of scoped out during the 2020 lockdown but somehow never got round to coming back to actually find and log. Decided it was long overdue, came over and parked up nearby. Fortunately, I didn't need to spend too long in amongst the scratch plants before finding the cache. Very amused by the Police note TFTC!
Omgness the police note when it wasn't one thing it must be the other! Gotcha! Thanks for the hide
Pretty sure I had searched for this one once before, but I hadn't logged a DNF so I cant have given it a good look. I had noticed some recent finds so came along here for another look and it didn't take long to find. TFTC.
Yes, the Seagnoid is correct. I’ve been very weary about this one as I know the area well. Came today prepared to tackle blackberry only to find a newly- constructed wide track. All good here- a neat find - now!! Many thanks
Laughed at the police msg, waved at the neighbours (might be the wrong one now), nice and dry. Thanks!
Intersting comments about the blackberry. For me it wasn't too bad, only one strand put in any effort to stop me, and that was only a half-hearted attempt. The cache was in the obvious place, asnd after 3 looks there (and 3 looks everywhere else) I went back. Abandoned the eys and got the fingers out. Bingo! Love the not inside from the police from 2013! Awesome. Hey! and its a lonely cache!
Lastly, re the sign on the cache page - I stubbed my toe later today. It hurt. A lot.
Today I need a size "other" cache. So I put the bike on the train and came to Porirua. Cycled home to Petone via Johnsonville and Ngaio. Found a bunch of caches, some labs, a lonely cache and now I have some nicely worn out legs. Even found a cache with my name already in it - that I had forgotten to log nearly a year ago. Nice strong northerly which made the trip to Ngaio a breeze, and the trip from Ngaio to Petone a bit of a slog.

Revisited this cache after a four or five year break. Still didn’t find it. Left before being attacked by the blackberry! Rodney.
Identified a couple of potential hiding places, but no sign of cache in any of them. After 15 min, admitting defeat to the blackberry.
Maybe the blackberry is not so rampant at this time of year because it wasn’t too bad at GZ. The cache still took a bit of ferreting out but we got there in the end. TFTC
We tried so hard but had to admit defeat. The BlackBerry is just too insane. Had to try and keep kids out of the way and poor hubby got so many scratches.
Ouch, ouch, ouch, find cache, sign log, ouch, ouch, ouch! Blackberry a tad overgrown here
Another older Tawa cache ticked off the to do list.

I keep seeing this one on the map and have never been convinced enough to go and grab it, having seen the logs. Today was a day that I had enough time to head on over. Parked up nearby and could see where the cache could likely be. Walked over and after dodging a bit of blackberry I quickly found the cache - hmm, that wasn't too difficult. Opened up and saw the fresh logs from the taybees (my phone had old information). No problems with the cache or the hiding location. TFTC

I spent a bit of time looking for this one. After looking at the previous logs (and the photos) I was pretty sure I was looking in the right spot. However, after a disagreement with a blackberry bush that resulted in a scratched check and blood running down my face I decided to leave this one!
Nearly a year since the last find, but all in order here today. Having ready the cache notes about the neighbour's interest in this cache, I parked up the road a bit to avoid the whole car noise, door closing, disappear up the track, zoom away etc thing.
Managed to dodge a bit of blackberry, but soon spotted the cache after a bit of fossicking about. All dry and in good order, including the friendly police note.
TFTC.

Only spent about 5 minutes looking for this but clearly needs longer. Didn't know what to make of the hint.
Fitted in some geocaching today with granddaughter Stella (Starza). This was DNF number two of two for the day. This one involved a very short after discovering access from the street. Searched unsuccessfully for about fifteen minutes, involving several encounters with brambles! We notice that it hasn't been found since February - perhaps it could be time for a check by the owner? Thanks for the cache anyway! Rodney.
Nice spot on a sunny afternoon. Has not been visited for a while. Took a bit of finding. All on good condition and dry. TFTC.
#1390. Well its still there. Surprised to find a lonely cache in Wellington on large open path just 100m from a road end. Oh well don't need them anymore but needed the smilie. Spied the obvious GZ as I approached so got out the camera to snap a few photos and hopefully throw any watching muggles off the scent. Then ducked in for the kill. The thorns looked a bit tricky but luckily I stretched in and felt the cache without engaging any prickles. Signed log under cover and enjoyed the message from the friendly PC. I wasn't "high" at the time but maybe it helps with finding caches in these burbs. Thanks for the cache.
I walked past today and checked if it was still there but I think this one has been smuggled.
Had a quick look this afternoon however there were a few nosy neighbours about so after reading a few of the logs decided to leave for another day.
Visiting my sister and out walking dogs...decided to give this one another go. Avoided the blackberry and found it straight away this time...how come it was so hard last time? TFTC
Stopped by here a couple weeks ago to revisit an old friend, but forgot to log it straight away
A few prickles but then found it. Has pen, dice and a business card of a cop/dog handler who found the item after investigating suspicious activity for the neighbours. Reminder that this hide is in view of many homes.
#674 easy find for my daily cache. Did you see the note from police inside cache? TFTC
Checked the container as went past on my paper round only to find it missing. CO. should probably check.
#989 Parked up this afternoon to get my daily cache and I didn't notice anybody around- I hope they didn't notice me. Took awhile to narrow my search but came up with the goods. TFTC!
Find #2031. Another day on the bike hunting down the last few Tawa caches. Like the note from the police in the cache! SL TFTC
Slipped and fell on a blackberry bush, accidentally grabbed more than one handful of blackberry thorns while looking for the cache. I think I've reached my limit.
With the geopups tired out after a run along Petone esplanade I left them behind and came back to grab some caches I left yesterday because the were a bit difficult with the pups in tow. I spent a bit of time looking for this one on both sides of the track, and even clambered up th hill. No luck, had to leave without finding the cache.
Being a Dragon, thought I might grab the Cache Dragon GC as this is just round the corner from HQ. Guess the coin is not going to Takaka with me as too slow, still, good to check the cache after AMI round the bays today. Police card still in good order, might need to look at laminating that !! Cheers for the visit from other Wgtn locals.
Quickly found at GZ. Had already spotted a muggle in a window observing us as we arrived to park. At that stage hadn't read the previous logs, OR seen the Police calling card. That gave me us a bit of a laugh, but having now read the previous logs I'm a bit more concerned. TFTC!
with Tan1aNZ
Picked up a Geocoin, but with the feeling of being under observation thought better of dropping another off.

surveillance was definitely in action this afternoon! was going to leave a coin but decided to save it for a safer cache. wonder what the police dog's GC name is, he'd make a good geocacher by the sounds of it! TFTC
Took a wee bit to find this, should have used the police dog instead of my geohound! Got there in the end, hope I didn't arouse any suspicion from the neighbours, couldn't see anyone staring at me. SL TFTC left geocoin
Found after a short search. Didn't spot any neighbours peering out of windows today...
Out and about for an hour this afternoon picking up a few caches around Porirua and Tawa, on approach to GZ we spotted 2 possible hiding spots, one of us went left and the other went right and we quickly found the cache! We like the police card in the cache, TFTC!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.

Struggled a bit to find this one. This side of the path or that one? I went back and forth a few times before I finally spotted it. Gave the neighbours a wave, but after reading the logs now, I think I waved in the wrong direction. Oh well, hopefully he is used to seeing us now. Found on a lovely day spent procrastinating study for an exam. TFTC.
Also was pointed to the wrong side of the path by my gps but when I took time to look around it was quick to find. Lots of gorse thorns from looking in the wrong place. Love the police card. Tftc
Quick find and loved the card inside the cache. Waved to the neighbours and logged the cache. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find while in the area, looks like a tracker dog has sniffed this one out. TFTC, #5027
Thought the Police note was a bit of a salutary lesson for us cachers to be aware of neighbours near our hides, and how we must sometimes look Go the Police dog, wonder if he logged his find! Anyway an interesting walkway. TFTC
Found this one tonight. I licked the card from the local Police Sargent who mentioned that neighbours had been concern by the recent 'suspious behaviour'. He asked that we say 'Hi' to any local we encounter around the area. Good laugh was had...
A nice easy find while out this way this morning. Certainly quite a few windows over looking the area, but I couldn't see anyone looking for me as I was looking for them. TNLN SL TFTC
Trees are down across the walkway from the recent storm, however cache is safe and intact. TFTC

Another foray to tidy up Tawa. A quick find once I realised that the GPS was pointing me to the wrong side of the pathway.... BTW, one access route is much better than another if you are looking for a park and grab without reversing (guess how I know that one?) TFTC.
Quick find, felt very exposed, no wonder the plod were told there was something going on at GZ.
I had parked the car on the other side of the tracks from "Tawa Station" cache, so decided to walk up here.
SAROC obviously figured it was too far to walk so offered me a ride (got a ride back too).
A useful hint from him helped when I got the cache too.
