Had another look for this one on my drive back from Victoria yesterday. Still the same - camo is there, but no container.
No response to DNFs and Needs Maintenance request - I think it's time for this one to have some Admin attention.

As per DNF log, I came with a previous finder and all we could find was the camo where the cache should be.
Great find !! Cool info about the stobie pole !! I didnt know any of that !! Thanks
Heading back to Keith for the night and almost whizzed by it as the Big Stobie was hidden from my view by a tree until I was right on it. Stopped, found it, signed it and continued my way onto Keith. TFTC
TFTC - Good ol' South Aussie ingenuity at work here. Have tried to educate the Victorians, but no luck so far...
Might pay to check the container too, the lid's been chewed a bit and the inside was quite damp.

Well I checked the cache, yes it was in the dark with a torch with the batteries dying, but the cache was still in pretty good nic. I could see that the lid had been nibbled by something, but the new log and plastic bag inside the cache is protecting the contents and the the log is dry. We did have replacement caches with us, but I really thought it was doing ok at this stage.
An easy find!!
Day 3 of 3 - Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache from Adelaide to Wedderburn, Victoria. The aim of the trip was to attend "A Day Out in Wedderburn 2016" all day caching event (TICK [^] ) and then enjoy the Evening Meal event (TICK [^] ).
During this weekend we found some fun and creative caches and caught up with our Victorian geofriends once again.
The funny one-liner comments flowed all weekend and my belly hurt from all of the laughter!! [:o)] [^].
Unfortunately we had a minor car accident Friday night whilst traveling to Wedderburn [B)] - lost control of the vehicle (fortunately we were traveling very slowly) and we got bogged on a wet and slippery Victorian country dirt road [xx(] ...ummmm.....at the time we may have been heading toward a possible gold which we missed , however we did eventually get out of the mud after a long wait and exchanging a fair bit of cash [:(!].
I LOVE geocaching [:X], but I HATE mud [:(!]!! LOL
Thanks for the cache

Thanks for the cache, MalleeMan. The container lid is broken and moisture has got inside. The log is pulp. Left new emergency replacement log. SL TN LN.
This morning left Adelaide bound for Melbourne. Needed a break and this cache was perfect. Enjoyed reading about the stobie pole and went on a hunt for the cache. Quickly spotted it but it does need some TLC. The lid is cracked and logbooks is falling apart and squashed inside. Unfortunately I didn't have any spare cache container or logbook to replace. Appreciate the cache & fun to breakup the long drive. TFTC MalleeMan.
Don't be put off at first sight. There is a way to access this cache. The log is in desperate need of repair. Sorry I didn't have a spare one. TFTC
Heading across to the Yorke Peninsula with Team Crackers. Last night we met up with The Drovers and Konie in Bordertown to have some fun caching and socialising, as the now larger small group joins forces and heads to the YP as one over the next few days. Today we made our way from Bordertown to Mannum with quite a few trads, puzzles, multi's and letterboxes found and logged. The log books now carry the acronym CDKM or a derivative of that, depending on whether a team member had found the cache on a previous occasion.
Thanks MalleeMan for placing this cache.
Thanks MalleeMan for placing this cache.
After meeting up in Bordertown last night with Team Crackers, The Drovers and Micaparamedic we headed off to cache the SA series and some local caches. We found a variety of different caches and this was one of them.
We signed the log as CDKM as we made our way to Mannum for the night before we head further west.

Today, we headed from Bordertown to Mannum, with Team Crackers, Micaparamedic & Konie.
We picked up a good variety of cache hides, most of which were well placed.
This one took us longer than it should have, but we finally read the cache page,
and worked out what we were looking for. It's always good to learn something new.
With the signing duties completed, it was off to the next one.
Many thanks for placing this cache, MalleeMan, for us and others to find.

On our way to Mount Barker for the annual Tour Down Under Bicycle Event, stopping along the way to find some caches. FUF009 came with us. This was five of eight that we found.
A very short walk to the Stobie Pole the locate the hide, then back on our travels.

I was on the road for six days, following the Aust Solo Speedway Championships, and this is one of the caches I located along the way.
Thanks for the work you have done to provide the enjoyment for so many of us.
The log sheet is full and needs replacing.

Found as we headed towards the Barossa for a weekend of dancing. Log was wet so added a small piece but needs maintenance as container lid is broken. TFTC
Found it with CherryRose on our way home from our two days of caching in Bordertown. Cache was VERY wet and the log was disintegrating. Cache was not under rocks but under some sticks by the stobie pole. Definitely needs maintenance. TFTC TNLNSL

Another wonderful JLW over. Mythical Mundulla was just amazing...so much fun. The Golden Elf sadly lamented to me "OH so now its over!---sigh----" So we happily cached our way home, after first heading to Wosley to grab the caches there. All in all it took the two of us 9 hours to get home...but we enjoyed every moment. Thanks for the caches all! I put a wizard in one, a keepsake from the mythical weekend, but who knows which one?
The first find on our 12 hour journey home. Another JLWE event over, and all ready have plans in place for next year! TFTC.
Heading to Mundulla for the JLWE events. As usual getting there is always part of the weekend. No rock but now covered in bark. Thanks MalleeMan
Found It!
A quick find on my way to the June LWE event. There certainly are some unusual stobie poles along this road!

You will always know when a movie is made in South Aussie, cos these things stand out in the background...

Off on an adventure with Sushilord, CPwanderer and Mrs Aussie M&M. They were headed to Victoria, but needed quick caches to break the journey. (Really!) This one fitted the bill perfectly. Owl's GPS was being recalcitrant (and finally died once it hit Victoria), but CP sensibly collected the cache while others were still chasing their tails.
Found while on the drive back thru to Adelaide. The log has suffered in the past from water damage, but the log is still together. Thanks for the break along the road!
A lot of history of the stobie pole! See these in Tassie sometimes too. TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Lid is a bit chewed but log has dried out. Thanks for lesson in poles MalleeMan!
BTW - We found a FitBit or an accessory to one, near where we parked. We think it may belong to a previous cacher. Not lkely they will be checking these logs but if you were a cacher here and you lost it email us with description and we can mail it to you.

Thirteenth stop and second DNF on a road trip from Bacchus Marsh VIC to Encounter Bay SA with Geobuddy BJ. I looked, I read the hint, looked again. Couldn't see a way to check under the huge rock and didn't see another. Maybe I was just fatigued! TFTH MalleeMan
A quick find. This cache needs maintenance. The top has been chewed and moisture is making log damp. TFTC
This indeed is a very South Australian icon... it made me laugh at the border how the stobies started right on the fence line of the border. I never knew about their history, though, so thanks for the lesson. A quick find by the Moose on our way through to Adelaide.
Found on our family trip to Mexico with Tardis Trio.
A great family adventure picking up some wonderful caches.

Camped at Mundabilla we took the day out to explore the local area. Loved seeing the old historical buildings, farms/museums in this area. Also the flowering Canola crops, Managed to snag a view of the Indian Pacific as it passed us by at a cache and some glorious spring weather (no wind after yesterday )

Travelling today from Bordertown to Adelaide. A quick stop to stretch the legs in the showering rain. Cache log is damp and starting to be a little the worse for wear. SL TNLN TFTC
Not sure about the hint, under rock. It is certainly at the base of the pole, no rock to be seen. We had planned to take the track from the highway but the sign indicates that it is a private road so back down the highway we went. SL TFTC
Out on the road with the Crazy Geo Driver, on his gas run.

We knew that we were in South Australia when we saw the name of the cache. Accurate coordinates and limited hide locations given the hint, led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache MalleeMan.
Decided to grab a few caches on our way back to Adelaide - a great reason to stretch your legs. Thanks for the information about Stobie Poles. This was a fairly quick find which suited us as the weather was really cold. Sorry for the late log. TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1705. A big old cotoneaster has grown up in this patch of native vegetation. You always know that you are in SA when you see these creations by Mr Stobie. A quick find. Our thanks to MalleeMan.
Found on our way home from the oz mega with Coruze and Troobloo! Was a great chance to get out of the car and stretch our legs! TFTC
My first stobie pole cache was found in the N.T. a few years ago, and there are loads of them up there. Found this one today with bogonghazy enroute to home after OzMega. Our names were added to the log and we were on our way again. Thanks to MalleeMan for the hide.
Found with Sully1 on our way back home from the Mega. Nice to have a few reasons to stop and slow the process. A nice quick find and we were on our way again on the long drive home. My thanks to Malleeman
I checked a few things near GZ but came up empty but all was revealed with the hint. Cache was out by 12 metres by me but the hint does it. Thanks Malleeman for the break.
After a great time in Murray Bridge for the Oz Mega, it was time for us to leave and start the road trip home. We randomly chose caches along our route home and this was one of them. The road got busy at times but we generally had a good run so it was great to nab ourselves a few more smilies Thanks for the fun and giving us a reason to stop, revive and survive - Cheers!
Found during our drive home from the mega event.

In my running log I note that I went the wrong way - don't know why.
