We decided to go out and atempt finding a previous DNF cache and hopefully get a smiley for it after reserching where we went wrong on the previous attempt but alas no joy this time either. We entered the caches lare only to find that gardian is no longer here
We searched the entire local area along the nice high golf ball barrier but still no sign of the guardian

Out for a walk today, time to finish another section of the PLT!
Many thanks for the variety of caches along here, the kids love finding them

We found this cache today at 2:45pm as number 8 of 19 on our Follow the Freeway Saturday Afternoon. We finally get to start this series. With 7 of the 21 already archived and a heap more presumably missing, we thought that we should try to grab some while we still could. A cute start here. Thanks from D & H B-A.
Find #652
Went for a lunch break bike ride to collect a couple of the PLT series, muggle numbers were low so able to search safely. For some reason I was expecting to be met by a guardian here with more legs! tftc

Gave Mrs A a bit of a start when we found this one at 2:05pm. I had wondered what the name meant before we got here!
Thanks cathylmorgan

Bahahahahahahahaha.. Oh you got me and my daughter good with this one!!!
Lifted up the caches covering only to jump back and land on our butts in fright!!! LOL
I think you may find that if all your caches are like this one, then the kids may leave them alone.lol

A second bike ride adventure for the week with PopTopPete and we tackled the new Peninsula link. Our finds were well into the double figures, unfortunatly a number of caches do need some maintenance as noted separately but still a great night out. TFTC's!!!
Out on a run while the missus watches the tennis and aiming for my 300th for year end. This was my 304th.
Watched the bit that bites. Had trouble getting the log out.

Nicely done " scary " cache. I expected something like this and did not too scared.

A long walk on the PLT ended with this one today. Great fun, thanks cathylmorgan
We returned today to attempt some more of the series that have been published since our last visit. Thankfully there was no jumping out of my skin when this one was spotted. Thanks for the cache.
With the bikes loaded into the X5 I set the navigation to the more recent PLT caches that I am yet to find. We didn't have too many to find so we opted for walking between these ones. A great variety of creative containers have been utilised here and is a fine example of how the local cachers are putting in significant effort to their hides which I appreciate.
Thanks cathylmorgan.

Thanks for the warning.
Otherwise I may have soiled myself.

On the way home from work, a couple of quick caches before orienteering this evening.
Nasty, nasty, nasty, you could give and old man a coronary. Luckily I had my respirator with me

I still had a few of the PLT caches to be done, so I thought I'd try again on way to my parents' place for Fathers' day. I grabbed the first three, but ran out of time to get to the rest on foot. This was the first of the three. I thought that from the alive bit mentioned in the cache page that it was something to do with a pretend Electric wire.
So while not scared, it wasn't what I expected. Thanks for the cache.

Found 09:55, our first find for the day on our trip along this trail.

Rehidden again - same coordinates and same hint applies.
Hope this one lasts!

Second DNF for the morning, sorry to say I looked high and low and widely but couldn't find it, nor a likely hide that matched the description...
Relocated slightly and hopefully it's in a better muggle proof spot.
Please make sure it is well covered.
Thanks

This has gone. All the shrubs in the garden have died off and been weeded out so it lost its home. Will purchase another the same and re-hide ASAP!
This was our only DNF along the PLT. I'm not sure if things might have changed here as there is a new fence right at our indicated GZ. Thanks for the hide.
I jumped on the bike and headed down this section of the PLT to find the three cache along here. Two of the caches were nice and quick finds while the last proved a lot more difficult.
This cache took quite a while to find. My GPS had me near the track but after a search and reading a few logs I had a better idea of where to search. I concentrated my hunt along the fence line and was about to call it a day when I eventually saw a what I was after. Thanks.

After a quick decision between myself and my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave, it was decided we would throw the bikes on the back of the car and head for the newly created Peninsula Link Trail as well as a number of other caches in the area including another cache crossed off our D / T matrix, AKA "Project81". Dave picked me up at 7AM and we were on the trail by just after 8AM.
This was the second cache for the day and the only DNF on the PLT, too good for us today
Thanks anyway.

Second treasure found today. Even after reading the hint and logs, I still did get scared. Yes, of course I did scream! It's the texture and feel of the find. TFTC. We were very keen to search for a few more, so off we went after signing the log. Looks and feels so real. Eweeeewh....may heart was still beating even after the find.
Found @ 4:00pm, find # 2057.
A few days ago I found biggles 1024 and the swaggies just finishing up at this one when I arrived but I decided to leave this one so I could come back today and sign the log as I needed to fill in todays square and this was an easy one to get on the way home from work.
So today it was an easy find only as I knew where it was, it would have taken me a lot longer if it wasn't for the other guys as the coords when I arrived the first time add me on the other side of the path.
Thanks to cathylmorgan & Julz76 for this cache and all the caching fun.

Having done the southern end of the trail a couple of days ago, it was time to 'do' this end with ssmc4. We were off to an inauspicious start with a DNF nearby and this one was starting to look like it was going to be as well . It wasn't until we read a previous log that there was no need to cross the fence that we concentrated our efforts on the bike path side for the frightening find at 12:55.
And don't believe s, I did squeal like a little girl .
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks cathylmorgan & julz76.

We were going to hit this trail on Friday but other more important thing came up so we put it off till To-Day & what a good day it was for caching not to many muggles & the weather was not to hot or cold just right for a bike ride along this trail..
This one took a bit to find but we found it in the end...

Find #1 of a joint ssmc4 & EuDes bike-riding caching adventure along the PLT (which during the day brought up my 1500th find milestone).
This one took us waaaaay longer than it should have (and we probably should have read the description and clue in more detail before charging off to search). We got there in the end and EuDes was a bit scared - although he refrained from squealing like a little girl.
Thanks cathylmorgan & julz76.

After the last cache (Brake right) we went back to the cars and drove back to a local park so we we could continue from the top end. Reading the previous logs did not really help here but pretty soon the grisly hide was found. Just as we finished Steve (stemicmitsar) rode up and we decided to make it a threesome for the other caches.

Out on a caching with Iain of The Swaggies. Just as we had finished replacing this cache, Steve (stemicmitsar) came trundling down the bike path. We decided to team up for a few caches.

Found on another TDC night run, we did the series on bike, certainly was a good ride. Thanks for the cache.
The Demolition Crew (TDC) met up for another legendary day/night caching run, this time focusing on the PLT (Peninsula Link Trail) in the Melbourne SE area. Bikes were deployed for this, and are becoming a big feature of our caching, which is fantastic. A great variety of hides were found, and some good numbers for the night, as well as some other caches around the area besides the PLT ones. My thanks to the cache owners for their efforts in placing the caches.
Enjoyed the trail and varitey of caches very much. Pretty quick find as stated by the others. TFTC.

This was a relatively quick find, but I will say there is no need to cross the fence on this one even if the GSPr say to do so. Thanks
Run Summary
----------------------
We've been looking at PLT series for a while now, and decided to take a ride to pick them up tonight. The new link is a great asset and speeds up access to the Mornington Peninsula. The Demolition Crew have used it extensively in the late early hours of the morning to return home. At this time it has no cars on it. That's the way we like it
So once again we are down here collecting caches and having a great ride. Thanks to the CO for all there efforts.

Took longer necessary to find this one and, despite assurances that it was safe, found the feel of the cache container to be a little unnerving.
Back again with Pea bear to do the last 3 of this great series. Although I'm sure there will be more. Searched for a few minutes then Pea bear made the find. Sure blends in well. TFTC
Found on another caching adventure with BorisB&Natasha. Took a bit of searching to find this cleverly camoed hide. TFTC

Missing log replaced. Interestingly the log was missing but the lid of the container was firmly on! Polite muggles to return the lid or careless geocacher to lose the log???
Hot night - could not sleep - decided to go for a walk and pick up a few caches. TFTC SL
what else do you do on a hot night, thats it walk and cache, enjoyed the walk and cache however no log in the cache TFTC stamped the actial cache

Noticed the ftf had been logged - so it was time to head out for some cach'n fun.
Decided to ride the bike from home instead of using the car as a base FROM the start of the trail - WOW! it had surprised me how quick I completed the trail .... Although I was on my own it was an enjoyable morning ride.
I had absolutely overshot this one - the G had me within the reserve and so over I go - noting quickly that the ground is untouched by human agency. I then refer to the hint and a bush-bash I will go .....then suddenly the G decides to change it direction towards the path some 11 mt's from where I stood in the think of the scrub. NOT HAPPY AT THIS STAGE [:(!]
I trip and fall over my own walking stick with frustration....flies and mozzies have a field day. I finally exit what should be a no go zone; following the G's directional arrow - I notice an interesting bit of nature OMG, no way is that GZ? Yup, so back over I go where a quick find was made in a spot I should have first checked. [8)]
Many Thx to the CO's for bringing the SE sub's an awesome PwrTrail.

:-p FTF!! :-p 11:03pm
Well folks that's the closest cache I've had published near home, 500m away yeah!! So I decided to walk it that would be easy. Well I arrive @ GZ fairly quickly had cache ( which is a nice hide at that ) I then proceeded into the best Krazy version if the "Harlem Shake" I could do, soon to realize I couldn't retrieve the log with my fatty fingers. I waited 10-15 min in hope someone would come (no luck) so I replaced cache for next finder and quickly returned home to retrieve a tool. Returned back to where I was once before still I saw no one (maybe been and gone??) with tool in hand I had the log easy, open it and it was fresh wahoooooo!!!!
Krazy K was doing the "Harlem Shake" once again
Signed log and replaced cache as found, so I managed to turn my closest published cache into a 2km walk and still got a FTF. I must say Thank You Cathy & Julz for the cache, for the FTF, and the experience I've had all by my self out here tonight I had a bloody good chuckle THANK YOU
I will now exit doing the "Harlem Shake" :-p
