Forgot to report - I have checked the status in person a while ago, the cache got smuggled so this will be no longer displaying. At least it lasted a while though.
Right outside the hotel I am staying in. Found location and got scratched searching but found nothing.

A quick pickup after work. Was able to park just 10 mtrs away from the gz.

Have checked the status of cache condition, all in place and in good condition. Have hid it better so cache on!

Found after checking our geocaching app for nearby caches and realising there was one near our hotel. We really like this hotel and usually stay here when we visit Canberra. Cache is out in the open and not hidden. TFTC.

Thanks ExplorerClarke for bringing us here. We used to visit this hotel many years ago when it was "Olims" and sat by the fireside on a number of occasions. "Mercure" sounds so much more generic, and it would be lovely i if it were to be one day re-named "Ainslie Hotel"-reflective of part of this city's history.
Thanks,
Domsky

This was the second find while spending the day in the area. We had just arrived in the city after a trip to the Botanical Gardens. My friend spotted the hide straight away! We were a little confused about the terrain rating because it didn't seem to high up. A nice little hide, the cammo is wearing thin. TFTC ExplorerClarke!
Found with the crew whilst riding between the War Memorial and lunch in the city. Took a few minutes to locate and then was having trouble getting the log out when the geo-wife called out 'incoming muggle'! No worries though as it was E Bunny. Very good to meet you and share a few caching tales. and many thanks Explorer Clark
On the way back from Fyshwick I dropped in to do this cache, after parking, checking the GPS was on etc. I wandered over to GZ to discover that Monavale Dave had the cache in hand. So after a shortish chat, signed the log and was on my way. Good to see you Monavale Dave and family. Thanks ExplorerClarke.
I was at the nearby shops, picking up stuff to cook for dinner, and I thought I'd grab a few caches on the way home. This would have been a quick drive-by, but a car in the ex-Olims carpark had its lights on, so I did the good Samaritan thing and took the rego number to reception. TFTC, ExplorerClarke
2013-07-04 0089 Reading previous logs gave me a fair idea of what to look for and the cache was in hand in a few seconds. Had trouble extracting the snap-lock bag from the container. TN%LN%SL. Thank you ExplorerClarke. I've now hit a point in my caching experience where convenient (close to my daily routine, traditional) caches are getting scarce. I will have to broaden my horizons. There appear to be a few caches in Arizona.
Found by Pi.
For the last couple of years we have been regular visitors to Canberra. After staying in a few different hotels and holiday cabins this hotel has become our preferred option. Good sized comfortable rooms, choice of restaurant or the pub bistro, centrally located and free parking (hooray). It is really interesting to have a look at the old photos of this place. When it was built there was nothing around it but fields.
Easy enough find on a cold windy Sunday afternoon.
TFTC,
Mike (GPS).

Thursday 27 June 2013 - an overcast pleasant winter's afternoon perfect for bike riding around the burbs. Quick and easy find. Thx p2p. TFTC.
It was a cold and moody day and I decided to leave the warmth of the fire in the mercure. A few steps down the road I found this little gem ... And strangely enough it was tucked under a fresh salad wrap! Go figure.
GeoDad just flew in from Adelaide for a talkfest and was staying at the Mecure. Decided on a little caching before getting some shut-eye. This was very close by! TFTC ExplorerClarke.
Headed down to Canberra with Hoojar today, we grabbed a plethora of caches of which this was one of them. The cold weather of Canberra took us a little by surprise so we made sure we were constantly on the move.
A nice quick find.
Thanks
A nice quick find.
Thanks
Found on a Canberra Caching Spree with The Rats. The weather was cold and grey, the weatherman lied when he predicted 17 degrees and sunny. The thermometer only push over 10 degrees for about five minutes!
A nice quick drive by!
Cheers

A quick find after a short stop into the Canberra centre. Made into a drive by for me by allrounder.

It was so quick and easy find but my arm caught in the thorn when I reached it so it will be aware for this thorn. It was last cache before we headed back to Sydney. Thank you ExplorerClarke for bringing me here.
A quick find during a pleasant lunchtime stroll with geo-sis-in-law. Nice to get this done in the sunshine before the cold sets in. TN, left a LEGO magnet. TFTC!
Some sore of large funciton going on this afternoon but managed to make a quick grab in between muggles. TFTC
A few muggles around this afternoon, so I filled the time waiting for an opening by reading logs and couldn't work out where the prickles were. Found em! Added more blood to B&S's on the log.
Thanks ExplorerClarke.
Thanks ExplorerClarke.
Foind on the morning of Easter Sunday. A nice easy park and grab for this one. There were a few muggles around, but it was a nice easy find. Never knew this history about the hotel. TFTC EC!
Easter 2013. Great stuff, a long weekend in Canberra. Just two after work today. I was able to park right next to it and grab this quickly before moving on. Thanks.

A quick park and grab on the way to work this morning with Just a cacher.
Thanks for the cache ExplorerClarke.

An easy grab with the Bunny on our way through the city.
Thanks for the cache.

#373 - 12:25; Needing a lunch time walk after a payday morning tea provided an opportunity to swing by this cache and make a grab at the same time. The excellent hint provided all the information required for a quick find. As a semi regular diner at the bistro here, I was surprised at the number of cars in the carpark, although I guess it is Easter and the visitors are probably starting to arrive. TFTC ExplorerClarke
Nice quick find on my way home from work. Thanks for the cache ExplorerClarke.
One of 32 caches for the day. Building still seems to be there, what's the problem? Thanks EC.
I remember olims well as I used to live across the road. Found quickly today on a 18km walk TFTC
Its still the Ainslie or the Ainslie Rex to me, spent time there in the 60's when I should have been at lectures. Its one of the first pubs in Canberra to offer a counter lunch and have a beer garden, not that there were many pubs then. It was also the location for a family wedding a few years ago. Found the cache after picking up geogranny from Civic, traffic volume is significantly greater than in the 60's.
After enjoying a nice picnic and sky fire we couldn't resist picking up this cache as we were going past. The cache was very exposed in its hiding spot making it a quick grab. Signed the log in the car before returning it. Thanks ExplorerClarke
Found @ 10:58am
An easy find as I spied it from my car. It took longer to extract the log.

Managed to park the car about 10 metres away and spotted the cache before I even got out of the car. The cache glinted in the sun! Signed log and replaced as I found it - I couldn't work out a way to camouflage it better!
Olims has been a favourite place for a cleanser over the years, so it was great to be back here this morning. The park and cache attribute would be in play this morning as I was able to get to within 13m by geovehicle. Sensing eyes watching, but not detecting, it was a quick find, back to the car to sign and repeat. Thanks ExplorerClarke for the fun this morning.
Cheers

I walked past this spot twice on Friday prior to publication
A quick grab today (Canberra's real birthday) without using the GPS. There are still some Olims signs in the side street BTW. Thanks for another one!

Grabbed while in the area today. Managed to park within 21 metres......not as close as previous finders, however great for a quick find. Haven't been inside here for a few years, but can remember the meals wer good.......and the beer cold. As long as that hasn't changed.....all should still be good.
Thanks for the cache ExplorerClarke.

I remember coming here for dinner with my parents in 1997!
Happy 100th Canberra!

Quick find after seeing a movie at Dendy. Sent Justjessie junior out to retrieve it but it she couldn't quite manage it. TFTC
A quick and easy find while doing a multi in the area. I remember this place as The Ainslie Hotel (only just!) and then Olims and now what it is today. That dates me a little! Haven't been inside this place but drive past it all the time. Thanks for the cache, ExploreClarke!
*FTF* Yip Yah.
Just hoping into the car after work when this one was released and went off on the phone. So decided to head to GZ to see if we could nab a FTF arrived to find a blank log.
