Found the replacement mint tinWe are supporting our mate who is running to Darwin (@curlyrunsnz). He started at Stewart Island in November, just south of the South Island of New Zealand and made to Cape Reinga at the tip of the North Island by New Years Day. He then flew to Tasmania, ran to the ferry terminal in Devonport and sailed to Geelong. Since then it has been a long hard slog across Victoria and into South Australia up the Stuart Highway but he is now close to the finish line in Darwin.Lumpyjrb, I found Richard the Third!! No:2 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking and after 12 days caching Darwin we are now headed to Katherine. Replaced. Thanks for the hide.
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and returning through the centre to SA and home again. Today, we are moving from Darwin to Katherine, picking up some caches along our route. Thanks for the cache Lumpyjrb.
Found at 12:08:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
That was a bit of a surprise as we pulled into the rest area only to find that GZ was another 350 metres down the road The campers in that rest area must have wondered what this rogue rig was doing going in and then out like a bat out of hell!
Thanks to Liz and Bruce who have once again replaced a missing cache as it seems that the locals have simply abandoned these caches.
Thanks Lumpyjrb.

Up in the NT for the week for a work trip so of course I was going to grab some random caches while out. A trip into Darwin, a flying day trip to Alice, followed by a road trip to jabiru and Katherine. My work colleague must be sick of my “just grab one here”
Stopped briefly on the way back to Darwin.
Thanks heaps to Lumpyjrb for placing and maintaining Richard the Third!! No:2. I found your cache today. I added my name to the log and replaced where I found it.

Caching towards Adelaide River for ANZAC day. Of course we stopped for a few caches along the way. The list was soooo long today that we didnt finish and ended up free camping along the way and no pub dinner was had.

#7009 - 17:35; Day 18 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. Following a night in Mataranka Springs we continued enroute to Darwin after attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs refreshed after a swim to start the day. We were headed to Adelaide River to spend the night, passing through Katherine and Pine Creek The caching picked up again today after a couple of quiet ones as we covered some big distances. We managed 47 finds and 10 DNFs along with a few trig points for the day. All caches found were in good nick, including this one. TFTC Lumpyjrb
Alice trip 2017. Day 16. Another day of driving, today took Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I from Mataranka to Adelaide River. Long distances with fewer caches until we arrived at Katherine. Great country along the way.
Thanks.

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We arrived in Alice Springs to pick up fitzy_1965 to complete our group and set about the fun of attending the event.
We spent the next 5 days caching around the region enjoying the area and finding a lot of the local caches. After the event we set our sights on Darwin and started off on the next stage of our road trip.
Managed to find another few caches and had a great time doing so.
Thanks for all the caches and the fun in grabbing them.

Easy find. There appear to be missing signatures. I photographed the most recent, with Peerages appearing to be the last before me. The other signatures on the log were older. TFTC Lumpyjrb.
Making our way from Katherine to Adelaide River today, and grabbing some caches along the way to break up the journey. TFTC
Today we headed to Adelaide River, picking up a few on the way and this was one of them, easy find, but had to walk back to get this one as we had the van in tow.

2 week holiday in the nt cross caching trip with geoparents who have come from germany for a visit.
While the geoparents were on an aboriginal cultural tour we used the time in katherine to find some caches. We were here in 2006 during our 1 year travel trip around oz and some of it has quite changed.
Thanks for placing the cache for us and others to find and enjoy. Sl tnln

Found the cache but couldn't get the container out. Then a vehicle pulls up with flashing lights asking what I was doing. It was his sign. I explained about caching and he had already found and signed one not knowing what it was. Happy with my answer he left me to continue with the problem. In the end the heat got to me and short of getting a big spanner out of our vehicle there was no way it was coming out.
Found with clues gleaned from previous logs. It wasn't so easy, and I would call it a slow drive by cache. But there we go... we got it, and we got a break from driving.

With help from previous logger (thanks great clue) we re visited and found today. Had the right place last time just had no height.
Did a cache run on our way to Darwin. This was our first DNF for the day. (Unfortunately not our last, either). We were sure we had the right spot, confirmed by GPS. Looked in the obvious spots but no luck.
Thought we knew (several obvious spots) where this should be, but alas after searching and searching, no luck for us. Thanks anyways.
Continuing our journey towards Darwin, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
Had to walk back as parking was not good close to cache, with the caravan in tow.
A good quick find, and onto the next one.
Thanks for the cache, Lumpyjrb.

We hit the road again heading north & finding caches along the way.
Had trouble getting the cache from its hide as the ring was caught up, after some prodding we were soon able to retrieve it.
Thanks Lumpyjrb

Just could NOT get the log out of its container... it had gotten wet and was stuck to the side walls of the tube. .Trying to remove it - even with tweezers - just turned it into mush... so, replaced the cache container with a Bison tube and a replacement log. Placed the Bison tube in exactly the same place as the original container, but you'll have to look a little harder, now.
Now is the winter of our discontent. Well, not really winter even though it has been dark wet and stormy on this trip. Our discontent stems from the fact that this was the last find on our caching weekend. Not likely we will be able to find 37 caches in a couple of days again for a long time (we used to experience this nearly every weekend when we lived in Adelaide .
