As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Decoy dog managed to get himself tied around trees, tussock and the fence while aka_SJ and I signed and returned this cache.
Found this one months ago and thought I'd logged it. Recognized it after friend danks got it
Didn't know this place existed, even though we only live a few streets away. TFTC!
Nice quick find. Cute container and the inside is still dry despite all the rain. TFTC.
I really enjoyed this find, even more so as it was just 100m from my mate's place. I showed him and he was pretty impressed. TFTC.
Found Jack no problems. Hope the local cats haven't found him yet... A nice quiet spot in a lovely old suburb.
Got asked by a neighbour why people keep going into the bushes Might need to move it at some stage..

Couldn't resist going after this one, being my namesake. Good, quick find at the end of the day. #390. TFTC.
Mrs Meekal was happily spending money in Barrington Mall so I slipped away to find a cache. Thanks to the generous hint Jack was found in the first place that I looked. Lovely location for a cache. TFTC.
Popped down for a wedding and also managed to fit in a few caches while in town. First find while on the way to the function in a nicely wee area set aside to relax in. No problem with Jack - an excellent little chap. Thought I might have to resort to a photo to prove I'd found the cache but managed to get the 3rd pen tried to mark the log. TFTC (A fav for the hide - 'Jack Sparrow' - and location)
Easy find after a picnic with the kids. Nice little park, although could do with a haircut.
Found it almost immediately, "Fly Sparrow Fly" no such luck, Jack is nestled back in his spot, no muggles in sight of the GC to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to while I was grappling with the log and the replacement of the cache, Nice Hide, TFTC.
Found pretty quickly, “fly sparrow fly” no such luck today, Jack is nestled back in his little spot. I had the GZ to myself no one to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to. Quick easy find nice hide TFTC.

I needed a simple nearby cache to bring me up to 80 finds! I'd snooped on this one before and knew just where I thought it would be. Walked there and as I approached I thought I'd check the description again. "Bring your own pen" - well I'd had two earlier but now was pen-less. Luckily it was a quick trot to the local supermarket and a shiney 4-coloured purchase later I could find the cache and sign my name.
Nice container - thanks purdiepurdie - no space for my TB
PS the log is full and needs replacing (I'll let purdiepurdie know directly)
PPS Late afternoon was the right time to visit. A noisy flock of sparrows were filling the air with their squabbling - quite appropriate.

Third day in Christchurch, another giant wander around town. 23km today! TFTC!
Last time I came to this spot, a muggle was sitting on the bench talking on her phone... so I kept on biking... Today it was all quiet, thankfully. Very cool idea for a cache.
What can I say but a quick find. The street was deserted and the only noise that could be heard was that of a bird of some sort singing away. Rather peaceful to listen to whilst signing the log. Tfth
I'm starting to spot a theme here purdiepurdie
A nice easy find on a chilly morning. Too cold to think - I wrote the wrong date on the log sheet.

Found with 2 grandchildren when returning home from school. Took longer to find than it should have. I should have read up on it beforehand! TFTC.
Not exactly where I would expect to find a sparrow nesting but quick find anyway. Thanks.
There was a group looking all over the park for something, not geocachers I decided, so left them to it. When they were far enough away I swooped for a quick find. Thanks for the hide.
