I am leaving Feilding heading north, but I had to stop to get this on, too. I actually found two cache containers here, but only signed the silver one. TFTC.
At the end of a day's driving and caching. Found it but couldn't open it (weakling me)- photo attached. TFTC
In fielding at a friends house for dinner. Found a couple caches on the way back home. Lots of thunder and lightning. When I found the cache I noticed there were 2 caches? Not sure if this was supposed to be there or not. They both had logbooks.I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks mar1sa for placing this Traditional cache! mar1sa , ! 3 February 2024 at 8:18PM#845th Find
Yip, it is a tiny one here, and no spots left to sign, but I did manage to scrawl my name in under Woodward a previous finder. Glad to get this one off my previous DNF list.
Found after a few, not the container I was expecting. Cheers mar1sa, fun to get your first!
Once again, as it is every couple of weeks, I find myself spending the weekend in Wanganui (from Wellington), and after my real life responsibilities had been dealt with for the day I headed over to Feilding as the nearest location of geocaches I have not yet found. I had no set plan for the day other than driving around (somewhat in concentric circles) finding geocaches, and this was one of them.
Always good to avenge a prior DNF, and that was this one. No problems this time as the cache was found, safe and well, exactly as described.
Thanks to Mar1sa for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

ANZAC day, 16:59 a 2 car expedition to the Manawatu with Crystal Fairy, GSEL Barefootguru and Denomynator. CF had previously found this but kindly let me stop for this one.
TFTC Mar1sa for placing this cache, number 12584 for me. 49 needed to make sure I qualify for this month's hard level challenge. Will I make it? Stay tuned to find out...

Stopped in here to find this today and it didn’t take long to feel this one out at all. Soon had it signed & replaced and on our way again. TFTC #2600
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… We’re on a big Easter weekend excursion visiting Vikings and anything else in between.
Easter Sunday: Traffic was fairly minimal, so we searched for this one at leisure. It didn’t take long to locate. We’re pleased to finally tick off this Fielding gateway cache. Thanks Mar1sa. TFTC.

A couple of quick attempts to locate but just too much traffic today (Good Friday) to have a serious crack without being muggled. Another time…..
Didn’t take too long to locate but was completely corroded shit so took quite some time to sign. We got it open using some tools and sprayed a little crc on it. Hopefully the next cacher will have less issue. TFTC .
A tricky find by Itchyfeet sticking her finger somewhere.
Out with Itchyfeet2020 finding 50 caches today for the DGSc challenge in the West Coast. Kia ora rawa atu for the cache mar1sa.

NZ_B and I are spending the day around the Fielding area with a goal to get over 50 caches in a day for a challenge. Our journey led us here. This was a clever wee hide but we found it. Thanks for the cache Mar1sa.
It's been an interesting day of geocaching today, complete with three 'failed to be fast enough' to be first to find, one successful first to find, four did not finds, twenty two successful finds, multiple 'can I help you's as I was searching, and a dead car battery with the rescue coming from a fellow Geocacher (it is so much easier to tell someone where you are stranded when you only have to give a GC code).
This was the second of my did not finds for the day. Was very surprised not to find it, hopefully it has not been taken.

Cobwebs! Lots of cobwebs. I hate spiders but braved it and got the smiley reasonably quickly. Tftc
Heading into, heading out of, who's counting right?! A nice quick cache find while passing through. Looking at the map I realise I really haven't found many caches around this area... TFTC!!!
Nice earily start for a trip to the Hawkes bay. Nice easy find on a beautiful day. Tftc
No extraction tool needed. Not normally in favour of caches so close to fast roads but the parking spot right close helps.#3 for the day.TFTC
had a hunt for it today - its normally well hidden but even I couldnt find it so have replaced
Found on a caching expedition with TharntheHalken around the Manawatu. Quick find, all good. Tftc!
Thanks mar1sa for the cache. It’s #1367 for us. We found your cache on 4 January 2021. Hate being so exposed!! Tough find but we got there in the end.
Found on my second visit as it wasnt what I was expecting to see & wasn't looking for something like that!

Day 5 of New Zealand's lock-down for the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic which makes any geocaching almost impossible. I normally combine finding a geocache with my daily walk. I've visited here twice previously without finding it.
Fortunately today I found it en-route to the supermarket. This is my 2,500th geocache find.
Thank you Mar1sa for not being judgemental and TFTC.

This is our first attempt at finding a geo cache. Unfortunately no luck for us this time!
quick find but needed a TOTT to open the container, fortunately my caching bag had just what we needed and log was soon signed and all put back snug in its hide. TFTC
It’s not often I have the whole day to cache and set off early to try and collect as many Shield caches as possible. On the way there I picked up a few traditionals. Have collected many of Mar1sa caches so pleased to get the first one. Great that it’s still going. Well done.
The excuse of attending an event to earn a digital souvenir to celebrate the palindromic date seemed like an ideal opportunity to come up to Feilding to catch up with some friendly faces, and grab a few caches whilst I was up here, such as this one.
Having parked up right beside GZ, It took me a little searching before I realised that the size of what I was searching for meant that I wasn't thinking about it correctly. With that brief mental adjustment, I then found it within seconds using the "if this was mine then where would I place it?" method lol!
All was fine with the container and log, which was quickly signed and all replaced exactly as found before heading off to the next one.
Thanks for this cache.

Our second go at this one, tried last trip over new Years but failed, stopped again only to realise we had previously missed finding it so were already defeated... once again tired and ready to go home we stuck it out and eventually found it where i'd already looked i'm sure!!

Oh, ok, so if that's the name of the cache, maybe we should be looking somewhere slightly different. Having worked through that little bit of brain gym the cache was secure in its hiding spot no longer. Cheers for the cache .
Had another go at this little gem and with the extra eyes of the hubby we uncovered it.
On our way from Paraparaumu to Turangi to stay with our friends in their bach there we took the scenic route and what a marvellous way it was too. We thought this would be easy but took longer than it should have done. Signed and returned. TFTC
Today was “SHIELD” day. Yeetrees, -gonefishing- and I were heading up to attempt the SHIELD series of caches on the back roads of Manawatu. It was an early start (5.35am) out of Wellington. After over 7 hours of caching we achieved the series plus a few more. My personal tally for the day – 117 finds. Thankyou to all the CO’s of the caches found.
Apologies for the generic logging.
Penultimate cache for the day as the three of us head for home after a long day and a find or two.......

Out for a day's caching around the backblocks of the Manawatu, mainly picking up the SHIELD series and a few other nearby caches. A total of 7 hours 15min to find the SHIELD series and a few others in between.
All in all, a great day out with SAROC and Yeetrees.

MEGA TRIP 2018.
As usual with the annual MEGA event, we partook in our annual MEGA Trip. However this year was a little different from others, with much more sleep and a little less time caching than usual, but just as much fun being had along the way.
The general goal for the trip was to focus on all the new Virtual caches published over the last year, visiting Cape Palliser (for the Southern most cache in the NI), and Castle Point, along with spending time at the MEGA Event. With this in mind hiring a campervan from Hamilton and seemed like the best way to tackle this goal, plus sleeping in a car with four people, would just be too cramped!
The trip was a great success, and our goals were achieved. A big thanks to all CO's for there hides.
LEG 4: Homeward bound: Todays plan was to grab a few caches this morning around Feilding before heading home via the "Virtually Stunning" virtual cache.
On the way North now, last cache in Feilding.

It's Mega time! This year we decided to hire a motorhome and travel down in relative luxury, very different to the last few years. Our team this year consisted of Cats&Dragons, HKCB and later on Alpenmilch80, and myself, logs were signed as MEGAHOAC. We went on a bit of a whirlwind trip round the lower half of the north island, chasing virtuals, earthcaches and anything a little bit different.
We are now homeward bound... apart from a few stops for caches of course! No problems here and we were soon back on the road

During lunch time on Friday I flew into Wellington from Auckland to meet up with some crazy Hamilton’s (11HPG11, Cats&Dragons & HKCB) to spend some time at the 2018 WENZ Mega, Cape Palliser, Castle Point and then driving the huge campervan back to the Tron. With some hours sleep in the giantvan we collected some more geocaches in the area before moving on. TFTC
Heading towards Feilding after doing the Wildbore series with tmann421 today.
This was a cache I have driven past many times but always looked too busy to stop at. Today the way looked clearer so was able to retrieve without being spotted.
Nice quick find here, log signed and returned.
thanks Mar1sa

An appropriately named first cache of the day, as we are Heading out of Feilding on our way home to Auckland.
Somehow this one took a lot longer to find that it should have. Eventually it was discovered in a place that had already been checked several times. TFTC.

after a slow start of 3 dnf this was my first find for today, not the usual item on one of these, tftc
Thank you for hiding this cache. Had so much fun! 10/10 Would do it again.
On a caching trip to the Manawatu as I had to get out and get some fresh air after being in the office all week. Started off in Ashhurst and made my way west to Feilding. A quick find. TFTC

Was in Feilding for work and decided that since I was here I might as well pick up a cache for the day, I have being here before looking for this cache but somehow I had missed finding it so I decided that I would try again when I got the chance.
Had a look at this cache a week back but didnt manage to find it again, not sure how many times I have visited this spot and looked for this cache but it must be a few now. Decided to let the CO know about my fate of blindness[B)].
After the CO checked and found that the cache was still in place, I decided that I would leave it for another visit when I got the chance and have a proper look [xx(]
Decided that today was the day to have another look at this cache and as I arrived at GZ, I managed to find a safe parking spot next to GZ and was within a metre of GZ. Got out of the car and after a short search I soon had the cache in hand, took it back to the car to sign, then replaced the cache back as found.
Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot a few times[xx(], glad that I have finally got this cache off my list of unfound caches, TFTC TNLNSL (12860), glad to get my mojo back again[:o)]

#4693. I had been planning on doing a big day out caching in the Manawatu for some months. On Tuesday the forecast for Friday/Saturday looked great and even on Wed it was still OK but by Friday I discovered you can't trust the Metservice to identify a rain band. Horribly wrong forecast with rain falling most of the day. Needed gumboots on all day long. By now I had booked a motel in Palmerston North so too late to turn back. Got rather wet getting in and out of the car to grab these caches with steady showers of rain. In the end I managed a respectable total of 65 caches. Lucky last cache of the day before heading to Palmie. Bit smaller than I was expecting. Fairly quick find though only found on second sweep. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache mar1sa.
#9418. We were heading out of Feilding on Kimbolton Road. Thought we might have a quick stop and grab here. Except for the fast passing traffic, GZ was pretty quiet when we visited. But it still took quite a few passes before we could make the find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

I was heading down this road, looking for a place to turn around to go back for a cache I was targeting when I noticed I was 5m away from another cache, so thought "oh, a nice easy one here", yeah right! Lots of looking and feeling, I was about to give up when I spotted the tricky little beggar! Signed, replaced and continued on my original mission. TFTC
A bit trickier than a mint tin. Found and signed the new logbook. 29 January 2017 18:25 GH6710 T F T C marisa&kris
out with scoria collecting caches in the fielding area with the plan to get all of the caches here in fielding
Scoria may has of well stayed in the car as he had only just got out of the car when I had the cache in hand

Over in fielding once more and with a lack of activity on the other side of the road, I thought this time I can stop for a proper look. I bearly had time to get out of the car before D6 had found it.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Over in fielding today to look at a horse. That being done, decided to tick off a couple more solved mysteries.
Drove close to this one so I thought I'd grab it. No joy today but with kids playing on the other side of the road, it was only a cursory look.

Heading towards the Mega. Thought it would be impolite not to grab a few on the way through. Thanks all for the hides.
A quick stop and find on our way around Fielding. Someone was on the barrier across the road trying to balance to take photos. She fell off numerous times. TFTC
