Spent around 20 minutes looking all over with three sets of eyes to no avail! We'll be back!
Spent a considerable amount of time scouring the area for this cache. Stuck my hand in all the holes and searched everything but alas no luck.
Easy find by Mrs KiwiChris, once the Garmin had decided where we should look, rather than in all the previous spots that it thought were GZ but weren't.

#986 Couldn't find it on the way up so had another go coming down. Tried the systematic approach and finally caught a glimpse of blue. TFTC
A Wednesday stroll! Jrb5050 had great delight in remembering where the cache was hidden. Coffee at the top, then some cache maintenance and gorse cutting- don't you love these fine spring days?
Almost to the top and another cache in hand, starting to get hot now with one child nowhere in sight (up hill somewhere) and the other wanting lunch, oh well told her when we get to the top. TFTC
Found this one with two friends after a long day Geocaching that took us through North East Valley, up Mount Cargill and down again via Mount Cargill Road and the Leith Valley. We found 16 caches on our 7 hour walk with no DNFs (although we were about to give up on a few). TFTC!!
Found the big rock ... that was the easy bit, had a bit of a scratch around and behold.. a glimpse of blue gave the game away.
We looked in the wrong place to start, but after reading the description again we found it with ease
Found back on the way down - very conveniently located! Managed to spot it very easily. TFTC.
Lovely wee hiding place. PC Sniff started hunting for it a wee bit higher up the track. I moved towards his spot and he leapfrogged down lower than I'd started ... and snaffled it up from right next to where I'd been doing extensive searches. It had been right under my nose! Thanks for the cache.
Found with jrb5050, grabbed this one from right under her nose, love it when that happens TFTC
Not sure about the stroll part of this... Here is how to make a stroll into a good days tramp: 1. Start from Sawyers Bay 2. do not check track closures 3. be stubborn and aim to complete plan for the day lovely hidey hole, complete with a table nearby to sign the log - great set up! TFTC!!
Mmm. The hint sort of led me astray. Found eventually within a rock/root interface rather than rock crevice. Good spot for a stop and look around though. TNLN. HOTA
Found at 10:36:00 a.m. on 1/05/2013.
A quick grab on the way to the summit.

Have been running an Etrex 10 for about a year and it has been 100% reliable but, brother, not today! Seemed to take an age to get initial signal then was all over the place the moment I went under the bush canopy. One minute it was telling me that GZ was 800m this way and next it was 5km behind me! Signal was dropping in and out constantly. At one point it told me I was travelling at 380kmh! Eventually switched off and on again but before it picked up signal again I noticed a big rock that the track went round and that sounded like the description on the page and sure enough. So this cache was more or less found without GPS! I'm guessing the problem was all the rain sitting up in the canopy but maybe something else was going on. TFTC.
I tried to do this without the paper. I saw the hide straight away but discounted it. Looked all around before checking the paper and working my way back. Nice fit. It should be safe in there. Thanx. R.
Carried on from the 2nd new one and began to get V hot as the sun was beating down quite fiercely by now even though it was only just after 10AM, took on some water and plugged on.
Got to GZ and went too high at first then checked page again and then made a quick find. Nice hidey hole.
Then carried on to the top, the mist over the Peninsula and all arounfd the coastline was well worth the grunt. The other hilltops looked like wee islands in a frothy sea.
Thanks for getting these out, good excuse to get up and out. Have a tick.
Left a jeweller's screwdriver. TN
