i do not know how long this construction will be going on for so i will archive this one.
We found the gates locked and signs warning the area was a construction site. There were some muggles fishing in the construction area close to GZ so we didn't attempt this cache.
First one for the Leap Year day. Stopped off on the way to Shepparton to find the gate locked. I did what everyone else seems to do and snuck down and around. Great little area and after a short search I caught what I came for. Thanks for breaking up my drive and bringing me to this part of the world.
TFTC. We are camped just next to the river down from the weir. A short walk to GZ and cache was quickly in hand. The nearby information signs give a good account of the fish way over the weir. Strange how when we interfere with nature, we need to create alternatives for the fauna, maybe we should leave well enough alone.
Great spot , the little gate was locked.

This one kept us busy for longer than it should have. Well done, nice hide. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Heading to Kyabram, Vic. Not the fishing I thought, so I stayed dry. Awesome clever hide. TFTC.
Afternoon drive with the family. Nice hide after fending off the protective wasp
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

The little gate looks like its locked but when you get closer its not. Wanderd through found the little fellow and left out the little gate. Thanks jigg61 FTC.
Great cache thanks. Stopped here to stretch legs it was just me and the sheep TFTC
TFTC. Nice day for finding them today, pity about the gates always being locked.
Yep yep. I'm impressed.
This is why I go geocaching.[^]
A clever hide that took me to another amazing corner of my own backyard that I would never have dicovered otherwise.
Great to see our waterways in such good nick and awesome to see a working fish ladder too. Clearly our fishing lisence fees are being put to very good use.
SL TFTC jigg61, a fav' from me.

Found on our 2015 Melbourne footy trip with Sol de Lune. After jumping over the gate (it was looked today), it was a very quick find at GZ. Such a cool hide - always love ones like this. Lovely area. TFTC!
Found with Toy Hunters as we made our way to Melbourne for a weekend of footy.....
Have found a cache around here before I'm sure. Anyway, good to grab another one in the area.
Thanks again jigg61.....

A lovely spot for a coffee break, lots of water birds and a few sheep.
Cache was found, after a short stroll.
Many thanks for placing this cache, jigg61, for us and others to find.

I/We picked this cache up at 2:36pm. We were stopped here at Casey's Weir to look at the 4 surface water monitoring sites located here. After we had looked at those, we headed down to look at these newly upgraded cross wires. I turned the GPS on to see if there were any caches in the area and discovered we were right on top of one! I have a feeling the people who use this infrastructure don't even know this cache is there!
I was in the area on a field trip for work. Thanks for the cache jigg61.

Our coordinates were sending us everywhere but we found it! A good hide, had a swim also.
On our way to Shepparton for the day.First find for hubby and myself whilst teenagers slept in car. Lovely spot for pics.
Tftc. I arrived thinking we had to jump the gate but turns out the small gate to the side isn't actually chained
21/1/15 jeandog. Gates were chained & locked & I wasn't able to cross to other side of water.
Found at 8:18 AM GAFF1. We were camped just up the road and where we were the water seemed not to be moving at all - just stagnant with a slick of oil floating on top. However at GZ it was clear that it was flowing judging by the amount of water that came over the top. A nice hide that we spotted straight away.
Thanks jigg61.
Thanks jigg61.
Found on a long weekend trip to Shepparton for some caching, and relaxation. The trip today bought us past this point, and the decision was made to stop and make this the 8th for day 2. Cache was easily located, the log was signed and replaced. Then on to the next one..

Suscoe headed across to Shepparton today from Benalla for a big day out.
This was our first find of quite a few.
A quick stop here and the cache was soon in hand.
Very quiet on the road today but a warm day was emerging.
Thanks to jigg61 for placing this cache.
All good here today.

3567 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1045 on our drive back to The Rock NSW after a great weekend in Shepparton. The Broken river sure has it's secrets. We never knew that these races were being used now. Thank you for the insight into river management. The cache was an easy find and soon had the log signed and replaced. Tnx jigg61
#6073 We were heading to Tatura for the event and decided to swing by this cache on our way through. We are sure there have been previous cache incarnations here, this is the third that we know of. The water was fairly cracking today, nice to see some volume of water passing through. A well hidden cache greeted us, nicely done! Our thanks to jigg61 for the cache and bringing us back to this spot. Cheers [^]
Last cache for the day and it was dark as well so didn't get to see much. Geonan came up with the hide. TFTC
Found on our way to the event in Tatura. Thank you for bringing us here jigg61.
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Interesting spot looking at how the fish are still able to navigate the waterway. TFTC
Found rather quickly. Almost fell into the water on the way down - the path was muddier than I expected. Very cold today. TFTC nice break on the way to Echuca from Benalla
10:45
Another quick stop on our way home after a few days in Wangaratta. The weir was in full flow today and like Fred6603 we climbed the fence to reach this well concealed cache. It was not until we were on our way out that we realised the locked gate was an illusion.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to jigg61 for the hunt.

Our first for the day en route to Benalla to try and log my 50th cache. After over three inches of rain the weir it was lovely to see the volume of water flowing

The Booo's are on day 2 of our road trip to Oz Mega in SA a nice quick find thanks
Find Number 2363
The Booo's found this cache,
Arriving at the weir the first challenge was a closed and locked gate, soon spotted the alternative route in and crossed over into GZ. Followed the gps and after an initial look around quickly found the cache.
Thanks jigg61 for placing this cache

We had camped nearby last night so this was an easy stroll to cache. That was the easy bit as being short certainly can have its disadvantages sometimes. Working together we were able to retrieve the cache from its hiding hole. Nice hide, thanks jigg61.
I am not logging a DNF on this one as my GPS had me over the other side of the river by about 50 metres and as the gates were locked we were not able to search for this one. Do we have to cross to the other side???
Thanks anyway jigg61
Thanks anyway jigg61
Good spot, bad weather(rain sucks!). My tall, handsome and muscly friend, ElijahPijah, managed to remove the cache, which was caught on bolt, by ingeniously using a stick to dislodge it. TFTC!
The Wenchette has gone camping so I've loaded the Wench on her broomstick and we're zooming around the Ovens Valley for a few days...
First stop to day and in a spot that we've visited on a previous geo-mission.
Thank you for the cache jigg61.

This is a great little cache. I'm giving it a favourite. Thanks for the hint though and thanks for the cache.
Found it easily upon second return. Left the army dude to protect the cache. Luckily I was just tall enough.
This was our first cache on the long stretch home to Queensland. We made a quick find here with the geokid and I acting as a team to grab this one, we left the army dude in place to protect the cache . A great hide and TFTC jigg61
TFTC found it after a little looking. Lefts a army man hanging hope he can hold on till the next find
We had to climb over the gate and fence to get access to this location although the information signs in the area suggest that the majority of the area is public access. It took a few minutes for our GPS to start to behave consistently and when it did, it pointed t a particular object. After a little searching, the cache was located in an excellent hide. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. Thanks for a very good cache jigg61 - earns a favourite from us.
Nice quick easy find, well placed, Water was flowing quite fast today.

Found at 12:21:00 PM while travelling to Bendigo. The gate was locked so had to climb over to access this cache. Nice hide.

GeoPa had attempted to find this one on a previous trip to Shepparton with no luck. Had the geoMa with him today and possibly a little more time to spend 'fishing'. There was w....a.....y too much water for fishing as the water was booming over the weir. Was a bit tricky but we narrowed it down and left our mark. TFTC jigg61 #1674 Now it is time to head for home after a pleasant day out and about the countryside, with no rain to spoil our fun.
A trip to SGBR for a small caching ride through Shepparton with Bettyboo3747.
The big trees were giving the GPSr some grief and several caches were a bit out (a couple we have included our find co-ords). A nice ride along the trail on a rare sunny day.
A cache on our way out of Benalla. I'm sure I have stopped here before for a cache, but this one was a very nice hide.
The water was busting over the weir today.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3888. Robmc and I are heading to Shepparton this morning to finds some caches along the bike trails. I have been meaning to try for this one for a while now and we are driving right past so of course need to stop and try for a find. The water was rushing today after so much rain but luckily it was a dry walk to GZ. Nice hide here. TFTC jigg61.
At 6pm I was driving past this cache and thought I'd give it a go.
It's dark but found the hide fairly quickly. Good stretch of the legs before the long drive home. Tftc

First find of the day. Happy birthday to me (witchjy) with doc and bratlegs. TFTC
Nice one - poked and prodded then the penny dropped and I remembered the hint! TFTC
I called in here last week looking for the old cache and checked out this fishing spot not knowing there was a cache exactly where I was looking, it still took a bit of fishing out though.
Thanks jigg.
Thanks jigg.
Like Coruze, I could remember visiting this spot once before for a now archived hide. This one is much cleverer through
Luckily my physical attributes made locating this one a little easier for me, since it was raining fairly steadily and it was bloody cold!

Took a while to pull him in as there was a big black fish on the end. Thanks for bringing me to this peaceful spot
Well we didn't catch any fish but we were successful in finding this cleverly hidden cache. A great day out with kerydn21 and micheena. TFTC jigg61
micheena - last find for the day with kerydn21 and au.fait. We have enjoyed the weather, the caches, the food and each others company. This cache was found on the second cast as no fish was produced on the first. Great hide and the weir was looking lovely and sounded very inviting, just wanted to set up camp and stay.
This is the 18th and last find for the day. I've had a great day caching with micheena and au.fait. SL TFTC
Hunted around, under, checked corks. 20mins limit as the Alps to Tropics cycled by.
Whilst driving through to Shepparton to see my brother I decided to grab this one on the way through. I am sure we have been here before with another cache. Took a little while to work out how to get to this one as I am always thinking about whats in there. After a couple of moments I had this one in hand. SL TNTN T4TC
