After a wander around this unexpected lake, it was a quick and easy find for me. In fact, it was the first thing I put my hand on. Despite the close proximity to the Sunshine Coast Motorway, this lake was lovely with lots of bird life, and a really healthy looking waterway.
We signed the cache as SCCQ (Sunny Coast Caching Queens) which we have laughingly called ourselves: AtTheLakeHouse, E_Smiley and me
Thanks for the hide sierra1 and the continued maintenance us3scouts. We added a new log sheets to the existing ones, which are full, and replaced all as found.

With cousins. On an Arvo walk. Soggy cache that we couldn’t get out or sign. TFTC tho.
Haven’t found one like this in a while. Nice. The log was dry, but quite deteriorated. TFTC
seirra1 I found your cache Bird Walk on 23/6/2022, 1:25 pm. This is my find 3577 and find # 9 today. No problems locating this cache, 4th place I checked. Logbook needs replacing. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Have seen this type before so suspected this is what we’d find. Sadly the log has been squished into tube and we couldn’t extract it to sign. (Took a photo if required).
Thanks for bringing us on a nice Sunday walk ️

Found it easily on this beautiful stroll... again, accidentally wrote the wrong date... must be losing the plot! TFTC!
A lovely winter’s morning and a brisk walk led me to this cache today. All good with the cache, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for placing it in this lovely place.
Lovely little walk around the lake, or in our case, ride. Also found a painted rock from a qld rock group. Left it there. Cache an easy clever find. Tftc
Saw some good birdlife on and around the lake - pelicans, black swan, spoonbill and ducks. Cache was a quick find thanks to the clue.
What a tranquil little area. So fitting for a geocache!
Thanks for showing us all this beautiful little spot... and for the cache too!

No log in bison tube , we have temporarily replaced log , but needs maintenance tftc
A lovely walk round the lake for this one. 3 muggles were playing in the storm drain so we had to use some stealth for this one. Found the cache and walk away to sign the log before returning it to its hide. TFTC seirra1
After having been away for a few weeks and picked up a few caches further north, thought I would spend an afternoon collecting some smileys in my local area. So started up my trusty Geoscooter and headed off. This was one of eight successes for the afternoon. A lovely walk around the lake so TFTC seirra1. Clever hint as well.

Found at differing times today (8/7/16).
Found by me at 1:20pm
and
at 1:28 by the boys.
(Sorry for the delayed log - am catching up on caching things tonight)
We were brought to the area by my broken down car getting repaired, the need for lunch and a couple of caches in this lovely little spot. After having lunch we took the stroll around the path here admiring the wildlife and the flora of the area. When we got close enough to start looking for the cache the kids scrambled and scattered all over the place trying to find the right location. Putting my phone in my pocket I decided on a more delayed and casual method of searching - first surveying the area then pondering where this particular cacher may place a hide in an area like this. I noticed something and continued my search and had the cache in hand rather quickly. I then replaced it, found a spot to sit and watched the comedy in front of me.
The kids were still buzzing backwards and forwards, getting frustrated at their lack of finding anything useful. They started questioning why I was't helping them, and drilled me with requests for hints when they realised that I had already found it. A few hints later and the boys finally came up with the goods.
Thanks for another lovely cache seirra1.

TFTC Nice easy cache for a Sunday afternoon expedition to paint our maps with yellow smilies. Found with my awesome geopartner WallabyTim. Enjoyed a stroll around this lovely spot although sad to come across a deceased duck stuck in a fence
While camping at Yandina .. I just had to go out and find a few caches ..
All Good .. TFTC ..

Decided to head up to Buderim & Mooloolaba, to cache in the area.
GPS had us elsewhere, but it finally settled down.
A good hide for the location. Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, seirra1, for us and others to find.

Out and about today in the Maroochydore area, cleaning up some caches i haven't yet gotten to. Being the Australia Day long weekend there were plenty of muggles out and about, leading to a few DNFs and basic non attempts.
What an awesome little spot, tucked away right next to the motorway. After wandering along the path and approaching the GZ i spotted a few different hides. With the garmin pointing me towards the motorway i inspected that immediate area, however came up empty handed. I then put on my "where would i hide it" hat and sure enough came up with the find. Awesome Hide. TFTC

This isn't a clue .. Watch out for snakes a nasty one was spotted near the spot 13/1/15
Found at 1320.
A great path to dawdle along and watch the birdlife.
As I approached GZ, a few likely spots immediately grabbed my attention. Just as I'm about to go for the kill, a muggle with two dogs appeared outta nowhere.
Luckily, I was still looking at my GPSr, so the muggle probably thought I was using my phone.
I waited for the three intruders to pass me and quickly grabbed the sneaky cache.

This is a great area that I have often driven past at 100kph and never given a second thought. Today I was going past at about 4kph and took in the surroundings more carefully! That island must get noisy sometimes but what a great refuge away from cats and humans. At GZ I quickly saw what was required and signed and replaced with no dramas. I'll be watching this feature as I drive past next time, thanks seirra1.
Our first find! Had a great walk with the kids, amazed ourselves that we found it. Know to take a pen with us next time. Thanks for the find.
