We enjoyed a detailed look over this historic relic, but no cache was found. We had a pretty good search inside, although the steady stream of muggles included some who joined us inside chatting about the construction, so there was lots of distraction.
With the last log being a DNF, it may be time for an owners check though.

Found a black container that was broken inside the chimney, but no sign of anything else cache-related
Up from Palmy for the week. Was installing some ATM's for the WOMAD event and got this one while literally walking past and thinking it would be an ideal cache location. A great historic treasure that has stood the test of time. TFTC

Today, Ninalila and I decided to visit two parks around New Plymouth.
We enjoyed our walks during the sunny day and did some caches.
We had to come here for the letterbox since we are close to it.
It was easy to find but we had to spend some time before finding the good hiding spot.

Nous apprécions nos promenades et nous étions obligé de passer par cette letterbox vu que nous étions à côté. La boîte fût facile à trouver bien que cela nous ai prit du temps à trouver la bonne cachette.

We were admiring in front of very old trees that we can observe here, especially the Puriri with 2000 years old !!!

Took a bit of searching. Just about to give up, then spotted something.... Further inspection revealed the cache. A bit unusual with only half a container. Signed and replaced as found. A lovely day in the park today. Thanks

Another cache in this nice park. Though the hide was very clear it took us some time until Anja found the container. It is a bit broken and its top is missing. Nice location but it deserves a better hiding place, i think there are some.

Found without too many problems - as others have noted, there's only a container bottom (no lid) plus logsheet in a plastic bag. Logsheet was dry and in good condition, not sure how long it will stay that way. Some TLC needed. Signed log, TFTC
only found the mag side of this cache, got a snap lock bag and water proof paper and hid it away again, need some maintenance, awesome place for a hide TFTC
Found the remains of the container which is out in the open. Unfortunately this one is muggles.
Have left this one on a few visits to the naki so that on a lazy day we would have one close by to do. Nice run around and an ice block from the zoo in the way home. Perfect. Tftc.

Had a great day in the park, with the winter sun. First time in New Plymouth and found it great will defo come back in the summer. What a large fireplace could do with this in our home to warm it up ha ha. \TFTC
I found both the plastic bag with the log and also the broken container so I managed to sign the log and squeeze the bag into the container and placed them back where I had found the plastic bag.
Kids had lots of fun here. Found a broken magnetic box first then found a log book in a plastic bag.
Found after a quick visit to the Brooklands zoo before heading southwards home. Tftc

This cache was in the first place I looked although somehow I didn't manage to see it. It wasn't until assistance came in the form of female eyes that the discovery was made. We were accompanied by my sister for her first experience of geocaching. Despite the container being broken, the hiding place means it isn't too much of a problem.

Found on a cache finding hunt with the girls. Container is damaged and could do with replacing
As previous finders commented, the cache had been damaged and would need replacing. Put the cache back together as best we could.
#6404. Nice walk in Brooklands Park this morning. Lots of folks in the park, but GZ itself was pretty quiet. Found after a short search. Nice hide. But as previous finders commented, the cache had been damaged and would need replacing. Also unfortunately Show me the sunshine! was not in the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Put the cache back together as best we could. Thanks for the cache.

The last fee days have seem hundreds of kids climbing in side the chimney so was surprised to find that the cache was still there. However it looks as though it may have been discovered once or twice as the cache has been damaged an the bits were scattered. All bits have been out back together as best as but it could do with a bits of TLC by the CO.
TFTC though it's been fun looking for all the caches in the park adding to the whole WOMAD experience.

Finding this has been a long time coming. I knew the exact spot but just never go there. It took till a wander through the park during WOMAD setup to make this quick find. TFTC
Spent the day in the park with friends and all the kids doing all the caches here. Great fun.
Up here for the weekend staying nearby so had to go for a second caching wander for the day. Picked up Huatoki Walkway then made my way into the park finding a nice stand of kauris which I made my way through them on up round the back of the Bowl.
Having not been to this part of the park before I was surprised to walk out onto the green area and see the old chimney. A lot of history here know doubt - must follow that up.
As no one was about which allowed for a quick find and signing and then wander back the way I came. Thanks for the placement at this historic spot.
