We had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the region and were lucky to have perfect winter weather for it. We visited some wonderful sites, enjoyed some spectacular views and discovered some interesting history along the way. When we exited our car, we glanced towards GZ and could see exactly why this cache had been named so. A nice speedy find once at GZ. Thanks 5Meerkats
As we hopped out of the car and had a quick look around we spied what had to be the obvious cache hide sure enough made the find. All good. TFTC
Yay! It has been a long time since the last geocaching adventure in lutruwita, even longer since I was up here last.TFTC!
This was a nice quick find on our journey to Hervey Bay.---Over a week ago we made a trip up to Yeppoon to visit family and some of the big things dotted around the state. On the way we stopped off at Noosa Heads (big pelican) and Maryborough before staying in Hervey Bay (big whales) for a couple of days to break up the journey. Whilst in Hervey Bay we went out on a glass bottomed boat and explored Big Woody Island and Round Island. Onwards again and we visited Childers, Gin Gin and got stuck in a crazy tailback a few kilometers from Miriam Vale (big crab, big donut and big Magpie). It would have been rude not to pick up a cache or two on our journey North. We visited Great Keppel and did some snorkeling (and Jack spotted a large sting ray), Emu Park to view the Singing Ship, Rockhampton (big bulls) to visit the zoo (which I wasn't too keen on) and just about every restaurant and coffee shop in Yeppoon. It's a lovely part of the world. On the way back home (boo) we visited the caves at Cania Gorge and stayed overnight at the retreat and then on to the Three Moons Silo Mural, Gayndah (big orange) and then onto the Bruce and straight back home.Thanks!!#3491

We are up on the Sunshine Coast chasing high D/T caches for a challenge cache. I was looking for cleaner water to kayak on. Especially after ingrown toenail surgery.
It wasn’t going to stop me caching. So Lake MacDonald was the place to be.
As usual I had help from Green Geckos and Muggles65 to look after me.
I got 33 finds today, the breakdown is 18 traditional, 11 mystery and 4 waypoint from Adventure Lab.
We had lots of fun today.
Sorry for the log

Cache 2 on day 4 of my 7 day bicycle tour. I have chosen my route today specifically to pick up some caches. There are easier routes between Boreen Point and Amamoor. TFTC
Tftc Meerkats, stopped off here to collect a smiley on our way to Booreen Point to go fishing
Quick park and grab for this one.
Had an enjoyable time with the SPREGTH (for Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, GrannySmith1947, TMZ59 and Hatzofff) Team. So happy to meet them again just like the good old days.

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.
I was caching with Snickersallan, Patrol14, hatzofff, E Smiley, grannysmith1947, and TMZ 59, giving rise to the team name of SPREGTH. Although not fully operative yet, I was able to tag along to most of the caches we found. Some Events brought us into this area.
Quick find on a great day's caching. But very tiring!
Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 1st 2021. TFTC, 5Meerkats.

Thursday. Came up to GZ and I looked in… Hmm, couldn’t really see anything. I then noticed something right next to where I’d just been looking. Gotcha! Lovely spot here for a cache and loved the name for the cache too. Very apt. This was just our second and last cache for today, as we had to make our way back to the campsite. Lovely area up around here.
This was the 2nd of 2 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***5Meerkats*** for showing us this place

A good cache found on a absolutely beautiful drive around this area. Thanks for placing this cache here.
Revisiting previous DNF and this time the loot was there - exactly in the spot we looked last time. Theme the breaks sometimes! Log signed. Tftc
This one was visible from the road as it hadn't been covered properly. Hopefully made it less conspicuous.
Out and about this morning picking up a few random caches before needing to be in Noosa

Searched all over and could not find. Based on description and others comments, we think it might have been removed. Obvious spots were hollow tree log or same on the other corner.
Heading for home after a fun day out with 1MinnieMoo, but of course there was time for just one more!
It didn't take us long to locate the container and leave our marks.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats

Having achieved a couple of today's goals (both planned and unplanned), NyssaFlutterby and I were on our way to our final planned part of the day and we're heading right past this cache.
So a quick stop was in order. Pulling the car up in a nice little spot, we headed over the road and immediately spied where our cache would be hidden. And we had soon uncovered a cache, and of course another smiley.
Thanks for the cache 5Meerkats.

Lazy Sunday afternoon planned. My amazing geo-partner KaleidoscopeCass and I decided to go grab a few more local caches.. heading north west of Boreen Point to Cedar Creek outside of Gympie. We had nine planned and successfully found 8.. this cache was found . Thanks for the cache!
First find on a super hot muggy afternoon out with my amazing geopartner WallabyTim. Was jealous of kids cooling off in the dam nearby! TFTC

We had recorded a DNF on this cache in October of 2015 however on reading recent logs it appears that the original cache had gone missing and has since been replaced.
We were again in the area so we thought that we should try it again and returned to where I thought the original cache was. I was pleased to find that there was indeed a cache in this spot.
The log was signed and returned to the cache. The cache was returned exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
Find #331.

Up this way for Xmas and New Year ... and to attend the week-end event.
Today, I teamed up Sphir3, Liz&Bruce and Wassup and headed out to find a few caches out towards Boreen Point.
A little earlier the three cars headed their separate ways so it was just Sphir3 and I.
Unfortunately this cache seems to be missing from the very obvious spot.

Many years have past since we have visited this area so it was a welcome return to do a few caches with oher teams camped at Traveston for the Newbies event. Nice location and with the help of the cache logs we replaced this cache where we thought it was originally placed. Thanks to 5Meerkats for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
Oh no, a DNF.
We were heading to Boreen Point today and thought that we should take a diversion a pick up this cache on the way.
We park fairly close to GZ and made our way to GZ and commenced looking around.
There was a fairly obvious hiding spot but there was not a cache there or at least a cache that we could see.
We looked further a field without any luck.
After about 30 minutes without success, we decided that we would have to give this cache a miss.
I will try for it another time.

After an FTF at the new cache at the Lake, we stopped by here on the way out. Still drenched from the rain but hot enough not be too uncomfortable.
Parked near the corner and ran over to the lair- I'm sure if wombats lived in logs they would like this one.
Grabbed the box and ran back to the car as it was still a bit showery. What a load of treasure we discovered inside! We swapped a whole bunch of stuff - most notable score was a star wars light up bouncy ball that only just squeezed into thee ammo can, it was so big.

I am spending a few days camping at Elanda Point to do some paddling, mountain biking and of course caching.
Today was all about the caches on the Noosa Trail Network. I have ridden by them so many times and not been able to hunt. My mountain biking friends do not like to stop. Only me to worry about today, so I could do as I pleased.
This was en route to Kin Kin to start my ride. Do we get wombats here? I have only ever seen them in Victoria. I am sure a little wombat could live in this spot. Around here it would be more likely to find a snake.
NO creatures today, just a cache. [^]

Quick and easy this one, especially for me as I had no signal so had to leave it completely up to the others.
