This was one of the first multi-caches I worked out, not long into our geocaching adventures. I have to admit that I couldn't find the plaque until I realised I was standing right on it. Similarly when it came to finding the cache, it required phone-hint from @RikkiJayMudd to get me away from the exact coordinates that I was getting from the app and looking in the right direction. Had never been up this path before, so thanks ozbob for bringing me to a new area. Also enjoyed seeing 'Rocky The Buckley Falls Rock Snake' near where I parked my car.

12-Jun-23
Nice little journey and neat hide. Took a few minutes to poke around in the correct area, but it's in great condition considering its age.

This was one of my first multi caches solved, but it's taken a little time to find the excuse to head down to GZ and tackle a few of the other opportunities offered up in the same area.

Nice to learn a little something about Highton's history. For a follow-up, anyone interested might want to check out the caches in Montpellier Park.

26-Aug-22
I've had this one solved but unfound for quite some time and a couple of previously unsuccessful attempts left me with no huge amount of confidence of a smiley today. Strangely though, I walked right up to it this time for a nice quick find at 14:20 leaving me wondering how I messed up so badly before. A case of third time lucky I guess but at least this particular monkey is off my back now.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks (at last [8)]) ozbob.

After having a delectable snack for breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea with geocaching friends in a cafe in this friendly set of shops, I dropped into the starting coordinates for this multi. The first set of coordinates I came up with didn’t look right. A careful recalculation got a more likely set of numbers. They proved to be correct and luckily no Muggles passed while I was at GZ. Everything is in good condition. It was an unusual container setup.

07-Jun-22
Completed the coordinates for this one a while back but had no luck in finding the cache. After reading some successful logs we decided to have another crack. A quick and easy find this time around - TFTC

19-Apr-22
I dnf'd this one a few years ago but an easy find today as it was just lying there quite exposed.
Secured and rehid with a couple of rocks.
Thanks ozbob

buhfuhguh and SteMicMitSar very kindly offered to take me around Geelong today with a Community Celebration Event in Ceres being the outing's main attraction.
Despite the event starting at 6pm, I had to wake up at 6am in order for us to fit in all of the adventures that this region had to provide!
An excellent time was had at each and every stop, and meeting other cachers throughout the day as people slowly trickled into the area was a really fun experience too.

After the event, the decision was made to grab a few more local hides on our way out of Geelong.
SteMicMitSar did the numbers for this one and a major detour took us all to gz.
I searched closer to the path but buhfuhguh ventured a bit further out and spotted the cache sitting neatly in the open.
It was signed and replaced with some more cover, though it sounds as though this is a recurring issue according to past logs, so an alternative hiding spot may be useful to consider.

Thanks to ozbob for hiding this multi! Smile

*Found on the 4 Dec 2021 @ 8:31 pm.*
*Cache find # 12115.*

Today I headed out and around to the Geelong region once again with Brainiac03 and buhfuhguh to spend the day in search of caches before heading to Mr. Sim’s 50th birthday celebration event.

Well the event was now finished but before we headed for home we decided that there was still a bit of caching time left in the day so as we headed in the general direction we need to go and found a few more along the way, this being one of them.

**Thanks to ozbob for placing this cache.**

4 December 2021 8:32 pm

Out and about in Geelong today collecting some caches before the celebration event being held later tonight. With Stemicmitsar and Brainiac03 we powered through collecting solved puzzles and other caches of interest through the day. Had another great day out chipping away at the Geelong area and can't wait to be brought back down this way shortly. Thanks for the cache and the great day out.

13-Nov-21
I set out on the bike into the strong head winds and up towards the hills. I can remember looking for this one long over a year ago and returning with nothing but a DNF but when I saw that it had been replaced it was great news so an another attempt was in order. After what was one exhausting ride a stop was a relief and a quick find was also a relief with the container just sat there exposed in broad day light. So after signing this one the cache was returned with a little more care and it was on with the adventure up the hill. Thanks for the hide ozbob

After a DNF here last time, this was found in seconds. Ahh……the smell of mothballs! I hadn’t whiffed that aroma in years! Ha ha. Tftc

24-Oct-21
Imagine where we would be today if it wasn’t for the early settlers. Geelong is constantly changing, but really, it’s not that hard to imagine this area full of sheep and farms. After the drive to GZ, I walked there and thought hmm, a micro. Hmm, rocks and thistles, mud and slippery slopes. And after the amount of rain we’ve had today, just nope. But then I saw a bunny. Just sitting under a tree. As I walked towards it, not even sure why, I just did, I noticed that there was an easier way for me to get in here where I wouldn’t end up going for a slide down the hill. I’m lucky like that lol. So, thanks bunny geo guide. I found the cache, safe and sound, dry and a new log to sign. I know it doesn’t count as a FTF but it’s always lovely being the first cacher to sign a log. TFTC

16-Sep-21
Cache has been checked as OK, with a new container and log sheet. Happy hunting.

Had a fair look. Too good for me!

Well this makes 3 in a row.

Not much of a day for smileys that are 'High' for me.

Anyway I'll keep an eye out on this and return one day.

I've looked here twice now... No luck though... Hope I've gathered the right Co-ordinates

Did the leg work for this cache quite some time ago and had a DNF then. Was back today and the GPS reading was slightly different and made the find. Go figure.

Found this a while ago however have since changed accounts so came back to write in logbook, I liked the old hide, this one didn't seem to be in it's right position however was easy enough to find, TFTC

Returning to this one in order to turn a frown upside down. Cache promptly found and fresh log signed. Happy to add another deposit into the unloved bank this morning. A nice spot to come to, lucky thats the case because i’ve been a few times now! Thanks for yet another interesting multi.

02-Dec-18
Cache checked and all OK.

03-Nov-18
Finally logging a DNF on this one. I've been here 5 or 6 times now, with hints in hand from PAF's and even brought along PF sims_family on one occasion. No matter how broadly we searched we came up with nothing Sad

13-Mar-18
Found the information and did the sums to get the final coordinates.
Headed to GZ and scoured around for 10 metres of GZ and nothing cache like could I find.
Took home one of the fruit to find out what it is.
Thanks for the hunt

"The reports of his death were greatly exagerrated". Hmmnnn!!!
New log, cache returned to original location. Substantial cache creep and spoilers removed.

16-Jul-17
Headed out to Lara and Geelong today to grab a couple of multis for our Multicache Month Challenge. This brings us up to 21 out of the required 31 multis for our elected month of July 2017; so we're on track to achieve the challenge. Fingers crossed!
TFTC Smile

Log is wet, full and needs replacing. Looks like the container is cracked which is possibly how it got wet.

15-Jul-17
Found with [@geo_wife](http://coord.info/PRPJ9T7) on a day trip to Geelong for the evening event. We were able to calculate the numbers required without any problems except for entering on of the digits wrong. Once at GZ we thought we'd be looking for a while to find a micro in this environment but fortunately [@geo_wife](http://coord.info/PRPJ9T7) stumbled across the cache fairly quickly. Thanks for the cache.

Love the view from GZ thanks for sharing this cool location
Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache.

26-Dec-16
Took us a few tries but eventually we found it. cool cache TFTC.

03-Dec-16
Found while in Geelong for the events. Spent a lot of time searching for this one. Finally a hint pointed us in the right direction. Still difficult to spot. TFTC

03-Dec-16
Quite an interesting shopping centre tucked away here. The history of Highton was interesting as was GZ. the views were good.
The cache proved quite elusive and took far longer than it should have. Eventually it was found tucked away. Not sure if this was the way it was hidden in the first place but it wont get muggled very easily that's for sure.
TFTC and the hunt ozbob

**# 15416** Found on another fine morning of caching with Rebel Acts. Wink
Our main mission was the Puzzle Me Easy series, plus many other caches too.
Log sheet was very wet. Sad
Thanks for the cache ozbob,

Found with the Roostaman, Today we concentrated on the Puzzle Me Easy series before tackling a couple of great Earth caches. We had a great time touring the area. Thanks ozbob for the cache.

Quick easy find good hide I liked this one TFTC

05-Sep-16
Found it. solved this puzzle at the end of a working day so there were less muggles ariund. It was getting dark and after reading all the other posts.I thought we would not find it. But after a quick look as the light was fading we found it. Nice sneaky hide. TFTC

30-Jul-16
Nice find

15-Jul-16
Thanks for the history of Highton. It's always good to know who founded a town and when. How different it must have looked then. Mountainous green areas with trees and gullys of water. The cache was easily located and extracted with a little patience. It was blowing a gale in Highton today. Tftc.

25-Apr-16
This cache is evil! Got the coordinates easily enough, but it was 45 minutes of searching at GZ before we had the cache in hand. Patience is a must with this one - bring your tweezers! TFTC

After a DNF the other day Sims_family mum returned with dad and a few little ones as well. After some careful searching dad managed to make the find. After a bit of joking mum said she must have nearly tripped over it a number of times without discovering it. Very please to pick up a few unloved cache months as well. Thanks ozbob for the cache.

09-Mar-16
With a bit of time to fill yesterday, mum of the sims family headed off to wpt1 to figure out the maths and then for a bit of a look at gz. Not surprisingly (not really good at this on my own!) nothing was found. We returned today with a bunch of the girls but still no luck. Will have to return with dad for another look. Thanks for the fun!

Well this guy has had me going for a while!!!!!! worked out coords easy although i did have a little trouble finding the plaque Wink Bike ride to GZ proved tiring but turned up with nothing, on my 3rd attempt, armed with a hint from SaintCache, cache was found after 30 minutes. Very nice camo by the way, although i don't know how it took me so long!!!!!!! These High? caches show up on my map as closest to home so i am glad to have ticked of one of them but i know the other ones are going to be much harder!!!!
Thanks Ozbob, for a great hide and i also enjoyed learning more information about the rotary club in Geelong!

Arrived at GZ to find sign saying poison carrots had been laid for rabbits. Wont attempt again until sign is gone as i am not putting my hands near it. Thanks anyway

06-Apr-15
Took longer than expected to find the Plark ( I wasn't looking in the required direction) maths done quickly and a BMX ride from wp1 proved to be quiet tiring!! At GZ there were many possible places for a cache to be. Had to be somewhere so look only lasted 35 minutes. Although I did get to the GPS saying 0.00m, cache could not be found. No doubt it is there, TFTC and I will be back to find this guy

08-Mar-15
No luck even with very specific details.

08-Mar-15
After a decent search and checking with a previous finder came up empty handed

09-Dec-14
We were needing a cache for the day and this one being just down the road we went for a drive. After gathering the required information and putting our maths to work we were soon on the road again and arriving at GZ. This one proved to be very tricky and it took much longer than expected. But after a long search we finally had a feeling of relief as we found the cache. Thanks to ozbob for this tricky hide.

[red]My humble apologies for the late log...[/red]

After living away from home for 6 months, I have managed to find all my caching associated paperwork / notes & photo's so I can (finally) log all my finds...

My sincerest thanks to all the cache owners for their hides & all the effort gone into them & I'm sorry for the generic log... I have seen many beautiful area's that I would not of seen or experience if not for your hides...
Thanks for bringing me here and for the cache... Big Grin Found this one with Happy Pants & Yoshi Warriors in between the Christmas Smörgåsbord Events...Cool

Had worked out the gz a while ago but came up empty handed and today we were keen to have another crack at it and after searching the gz...again and still having no luck I decided to PAF and while chatting discovered the Snap Happy had already found it and was happy to watch us search and scratch around. TFTC ozbob, certainly a tricky find but great views from the final gz.

06-Dec-14
In Geelong for the Christmas Smorgasbord events. Out getting some caches with Happy Pants & Snap Happy. We spent quite a long time looking for this. Snap Happy decided to 'have a rest' while we kept looking. After a couple more minutes of us looking, Snap Happy decided to inform us he had found it & had been hanging on to it...mongrel. A very tricky hide. Thanks ozbob for the challenge.

30-Oct-14
Took us a short while to find the plaque to get the information required to do this very interesting multi due to the muggle postman having his bike parked over it!! Thank goodness our maths was ok and after a very interesting drive we came to GZ. It took us a short while to find this very cleverly hidden cache due to the very many spots it could be in in the area!!
We will give you a fav from us for the planning and implementation of this great cache - so well done!
TFTC ozbob - we did enjoy doing your great multi and the challenge of finding the cache!

Another frown I can now convert to a smiley! Like I mention earlier... much easier in daylight - took less than a minute!

02-Oct-14
We tried this one ages ago with Happy pants, but even with four sets of eyes searching we had no luck. Today was a case of we weren't leaving until we had signed the log. This meant a fair bit of looking in every conceivable spot, until the Moose found it more by chance than by anything. Thanks for the hide and the challenge.

15-Sep-14
Worked out the coords a long while back and now was time to put them to the test while back in the area....
bugger Sad
After a PAF to confirm I was looking in the correct spot, still had no luck in finding what I was after. Hope it's there

27-Jul-14
Our second long-solved but unfound multi in Highton closed today: at last! We enjoyed the history lesson a lot but failed seriously at GZ. Today we were determined to find it, and find it we did. Not without discovering a completely new walking and cycling path nearby, seeing the same neighbour working in his front yard whom we have seen here on earlier visits, meeting and greeting a little brown legless reptile that was more scared than suss who uncovered it. What a relief when we could finally put this nemesis cache to rest!
This is obviously our tidying-up weekend for ozbob caches [^]

08-Jun-14
This one eluded us on our last visit. We're not sure how we missed it. But back today and made the quick find. Thanks ozbob.

08-Jun-14
Thanks for the cache. Cool cache. This was our second go at this one after a hint from the CO. Great camo.

08-Jun-14
We were very pleased to turn this into a smiley after our last attempt. A good hint from the CO helped a lot. We obviously had a 'boy look' last time!

In Geelong today for the flash mob events and caching with Glanville Girls, Beckster22 and Tomstache.

Out and about with dbelco and Jacko83.
Found a while back now, sorry for the delayed log.
Trying to catch up on old finds before my preferred app dies =[
Cheers and T.F.T.C!
Safe travels & hoppy caching =]

16-May-14
Had this cache on the watchlist as one of the remaining caches over 6 months old in Geelong I hadn't grabbed. Happy to see it pop back up the other week. Little unsure if still there after 5people dnf, however know CO does extra tricky hides.

Out with Dbelco and Froglady tonight and a short bit of maths at WP1 while we tried to subtract maths in our head. Then off to a familiar GZ. Spent quiet bit of time searching here, and reading through last logs took note of spot on coords and persistence. Knowing CO also has very spot on coords, I started taking very slow steps towards 0 when Dbelco reached down to reveal the sneaky hide.

Another smiley on the map for a cache I don't know I would have found on my own!

Also 8 months for my unloved finds challenge Very Happy tftc

No luck on this one. After a 40 min search we decided to call it a day.

10-May-14
We managed the co-ords OK but definitely had no luck at GZ. We spent a good 30 mins looking with 5 sets of eyes. No luck today. We try again on another trip to Geelong.

No luck today, 5 sets of eyes.

Adjacent earthworks are complete with a nice cycling/walking path adjacent to GZ now.

02-Feb-14
Some civil works are about to happen near the cache GZ so I am disabling this cache temporarily until works completion.

27-Sep-13
We continued our assault on the collection of ozbob caches in this area today. Worked out the math and a GZ that looked likely. No other company around today so it was a thankfully straightforward find. Now onto the next one! TFTC

15-Sep-13
John had cased this one some time ago, but not gotten around to actually hitting GZ. Today was the day! Coords were surprisingly accurate, given where they were pointing. Diligence was the answer! TNLN, SL, TFTC!

I have decided to concentrate on a few of the multi caches and this one was a good one for today. I really like the relevance of GZ. TFTC.

This one gave us a run for our money, especially as it was a cold night. Nice devious hide, but you weren't smart enough for geokid. Glad to find this as we attempted a different one prior to this, but were spooked and left due to suspicious cars driving backwards and forwards, so I think this unnerved us tonight. Role on light nights. TFTC clever hide.

Found today at 1700.
Nice easy find after gathering the clues the other day whilst out shopping.

Nice camo on cache but all the neighbors were out in their gardens at GZ when I got there so I had to wait for the right moment to pounce.

Log signed.

Find #1389 @ 1423

Found with ABL973, Square_pegs and GazaC. This was found while in the Geelong area for a big day of caching. This cache wasn't in our plans for the day but while having lunch the plaque was found just around the corner so we thought why not? Nice little hide, thanks ozbob.

03-Aug-13
Today's caching run with Square_Pegs, Gazac and Two_Drew's started just before sunrise on a cold overcast Saturday. With the team assembled and the car fueled we headed westward with a list of caches we were keen to find. We stopped here for a spot lunch and discovered the start of this multi. I like the history lesson.

Thanks to ozbob for hiding this cache and for bringing me here today.

03-Aug-13
After a quite ordinary long black from what seemed to be the place to be in Highton on a Saturday morning I ducked around the corner and snapped a pic of the plaque at WP1 to bring back to my lunching companions (Notably, Two_Drews sampled his first cannoli).
With a group effort the maths was soon behind us and GZ was ahead of us. As usual, four pairs of eyes had the hide located in signed in quick succession.
Cheers ozbob. not just for the cache but also the lunchtime history lesson.

My initial look at this one gave me coords that were 3ks away , so I discounted it at error and put the cache back on the shelf.
After meeting the co later somewhere else , he confirmed my coords.
So off I went this morning with 20 mins to spare. Well I think I need more minutes. I know my iPhone will be 10 metres out, so I made a broad search,...but it's a Sad.
I'll be back Bob. 19/07/13 8:50 Find #705

I was able to gather the information a few days ago, determine where GZ is and with some free time this afternoon set off to find ozbob's cache. Accuracy of the co-ordinates was spot on today, but it still took a while to find the well camouflaged cache. SL (and put it back, unlike my effort at Rip or Squash). TFTC here and good views ozbob.

I was off to a bad start when I struggled to find the plague. In fact I think I must have stood on it at least once before I noticed it. The Maths all went well and it was off to GZ. Took a while to locate the hide as I was distracted by a fake egg in the tree. I eventually located the hide and signed the log. Thanks for an enjoyable history lesson and multi cache.

We decided to give this one a shot this cold morning.
We gathered the numbers from the familiar area and calculated GZ.
After a short drive we got out and searched high and low. The cold wind was hurting our ears as looked everywhere.
Almost about to leave defeated when i found it.
The construction over the hill is full steam ahead, i remember only a few years ago none of that being there!

I was in Sydney when this cache was published so a FTF was well out of the question and it is only 160 odd metres from home.
On arrival home a couple of days later the details were worked out and saved until today when I required a find for my 366 day calendar. The well hidden cache was found and the little log signed so now only 15 more days to go.
The CO has learnt his lessons well as he is putting out some quality caches and that is great as it gives us a challenge to work out what is coming next.
Thanks to ozbob for placing this cache, well done.

ozbob is doing some great work setting up some GCs in the area for us, but he's got a really mean streak!
Second visit since publication this week. Again, got exactly to GZ with the very accurate co-ordinates from the WP. But even then, and with a clue from ozbob, I found it entirely by luck!

Having an association with Rotary made the information and numbers at WP 1 even more meaningful. Shortly after our arrival at GZ the local Big Guns arrived. Under the eagle eyes of Suscoe, vicfire and CO ozbob, the sneaky little cache was brought to light and our name added to the log for a silver medal.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt ozbob.
