As we approached GZ things were starting to look up so we headed a bit higher and soon had the cache in hand.TFTC
Four nights in the Flinders Range NP and teh souroundings. So mch to do and see. We stoppt at some Geocaches. This is one we are able to log a found. Thank you for the cache.
Found it! Parked at the creek crossing and made the short walk/scramble up to GZ. Spent almost 10 minutes looking around before finally spotting this one hiding away! #414 TFTC!
A day drive from Whyalla with family through the Flinders on a cool Spring day. A picnic lunch up here, enjoying the views and wildlife - a great way to take a break from a busy work life.Great to have water in the creek, well a small amount so as to not make the crossing difficult.A bit of a walk/climb and the cache was found. Never great to be caching in these areas off a phone (curses the person who forgot the GPSr) TFTC
After a night at Rawnsley we made our way to Hawker before heading north to the Brachina Gorge and back to Rawnsley as a loop drive, another stop to take a ton of photos and grab a cache, quick find for us today and in great conditionTFTC Liz and Bruce
Pulled up at the creek and made our way to GZ, logged and left behind a Scout and a badge.
Seemed like a nice enough spot so we stopped for lunch before heading back onto our adventure TFTC

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
We stopped on the way past to grab this one. It has been a great day of bike riding and walking. Even managed to see a couple of yellow footed rock wallaby. The rock features and colours are amazing.
We walked up to the cache and were having a good look around. I said it depends on which level you are at and was about to give up when ny partner found it. I was up a bit high.
Thanks for placing this cache.

With geodog Tonka on a perfect caching weather day
Out doing my 2 favourite things Driving and caching
After the hike up to the top searched for half an hour in the hot sun. Read some previous logs so checked every level under every rock in every crevice in every tree or stump with no joy
Maybe a hint should be there just for the hard work to get to it

I scrambled up the hill. This took a bit of searching, but finally I spotted the cache. I needed to be on the correct level to do so. Cache and log are good. TFTC Liz and Bruce.
There is a little cave with bones up there. Creepy...cache was located quite quickly and all in good condition. Had a little look around the creek while here. Tftc

30 June 2022 15:57. Found with Hearse068 while camping with camping buddies on our Flinders Ranges school holidays trip. Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.
We are catching up with updating all our old draft logs of which sadly there are some hundreds. This is one we found during one of our many driving trips around Australia. It is usually looking for caches when we are driving somewhere that Janet comes into her own. She is much better than me at finding a cache at GZ and she hates a DNF so will not give up. We certainly enjoy our road trips and the ability to break them up by stopping to look for the odd cache is as much a health and safety issue to help us manage fatigue as it is a bit of fun.We love these gorges. Once again we found yellow footed rock wallabies (see photo). It helps that we now know the best places to look.TFTC yet again Liz and Bruce
Love the geology trail and the landscape here and in awe of this ancient land.!l Day 10 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges and it’s caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game. Fave for a fab spot and longevity
Found with Nukky13 and Kaise123,
Water crossing washed away some mud if collected on the vehicle and made me aware of a swaybar bushing from my car that had disappeared through my travelling!

We enjoyed the drive today with ilook4geo, through the Flinders Ranges with all its rugged mountains and different rock formations. Climbed up to find this cache with everything being in good condition. Favourite point for the scenery the cache overlooks and all the beauty of the Flinders Ranges.
Spent a very pleasant day in the Flinders Ranges with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches we either found or completed. Learned some interesting things and enjoyed the ones that we were able to find for a smiley. Followed the goat track up the hill and made a quick find for this one. TFTC.
Quick? Need to be a goat! Great to stop and look around the river at the amazing quartzite. Saw a huge flock of sparrows getting desperate drinks from what little water was flowering. TFTC.

Found this yesterday whilst camping near by. Decent floods recently but the cache is well clear. TFTC.
Day four of a camping trip testing out my new swag. I am slowly making my way up to the Flinders Ranges and taking my time exploring lots of little towns along the way.
After spending the night at Rawnsley Park Station, I was up early to make the most of the glorious weather.
A bit of a scramble and the a short walk through some prickly bushes before arriving at GZ. Quick find.
Thankfully not too much water over the road here. No problems for my 2wd car today.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.

Came and stayed in the campground at Willow Springs for 5 nights with friends...
Today we ventured into Brachina Gorge collecting a few caches along the way when I could...
What a fantastic location...we too did the splashy drive through the only bit of water we saw...
I raced up to grab the cache, signed & replaced as found...
Thanks for placing the cache here for our enjoyment, Liz and Bruce

Found with Jac-Jam while driving the Flinders Ranges from Parachilna . This was a quick find. in some rough but pretty and interesting country. We spent half a day driving around the area and finding a few geocaches. TFTC.
Enjoying a few days in the Flinders. Unfortunately, Mr Frog twisted his ankle on our first day of our holiday and is on crutches, so we aren't going on any walks just enjoying the many great drives.

In and around the area with SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. Finding some Traditionals and collecting info for Earth caches. Thanks for making me stop here.
Found while camping in Brachina gorge. Two cars, two GPS, two river crossings. One of us went the right way but both of us signed the log.
Our last cache for the day as light was fading and dinner needed cooking, and camp setting up. We found this one on our second attempt at a walk in. The first option was not passable! Thanks for placing the cache Liz and Bruce.
Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony during an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce!
Cache was found as part of a Simpson Desert trek by Team Waldron, Freddo, Featherwaite, E_Gregory1 and a couple of muggles.
After Coober Pedy it was off to Dalhousie Springs then across the desert to Birdsvaille south to Clayton Springs and then one last night in the Flinders.
A great trip and we even had time for a few caches.
A short walk and cache was in hand.

Great to be away from the big city of Melb and visiting this amazing landscapes. Saw 5 Yellow footed Wallabies. Thanks for the hide.
Found on a hot day in the Flinders rangers, driving thrug as manny gorges as posible in my small 2wd, its a rental....great place this is my first day here, would be amasig with a 4wd and water in the streams... just a littel bit..
Continuing to find older caches, we came here to find this one. A quick walk in the heat and this one was in hand. Thanks for maintaining it.
Thanks for the cache! Had fun scrambling around the creek.
Gorgeous weather for geocaching!

Today was our primary day of hiking within the Flinders Ranges with a group of friendly Geocachers: jesswrigley, Laighside Legends, gridge98, and *the Godfather* (aka Freddo). The main target was Bathtub Creek, and then geocaching towards Parachilna via Blinman. A pleasant day to be in the outdoors, whilst trying to dodge the increasing flies.
Lots of green and white lychen around here. There is an interesting fact to what causes these different colours. But I diverge - a small scramble up the hill to find this cache. Freddo preferred washing his car by driving in/out a nearby spring puddle. I guess that's what happens to you when you find 30,000 caches, you get a bit, you know, needing to entertain yourself. Cheers Liz and Bruce for this cache oldie.

The only place we saw any water today and it was quite fascinating to watch the various reactions of the drivers as they approached and motored through the ford (we stopped in the shade here for lunch).
A bit of a scramble had us searching in the rocks, but it wasn't long before we spotted the well concealed cache . TNLNSL.

found on day 4 of a 5 day trip in the flinders rangers. quick find with good co ords. always good to get a old cache. nice views.
After successfully spotting some wallabies further up the track, we headed back this way. An excellent cache location with yet more grey roos to be seen here. A pretty special spot, I thought. TFTC Liz and Bruce!
Today we are travelling from Hawker to Leigh Creek and the clouds look like they are lifting so hopefully we will drive out of the rain today picking up a cache of two along the way in this scenic area.
We were certainly enjoying travelling the corridor of time, it's an absolutely fantastic place to be both for the gorgeous scenery and mind blowing geology. We wandered off up the hill and followed the GPSr over a little bit more rugged terrain than we were expecting but as usual we may have gone the wrong way. Once at gz the GPS kept changing it's mind as to where it wanted us to search and therefore it took us a lot longer than it should have to locate the cache but we are happy to say that the log book now contains our name. When we got back to the car the ranger was just getting back into her car after checking we had a valid permit which we did and wished us all the best and a happy holiday , not at all interested in what we had been up to.
Thanks Liz & Bruce for the cache.

A lovely spot, though further up the hill than I thought when leaving the car without the GPS Thanks L&B.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. So far in 2017 I have cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. I focused on logging 2016 SAGA eligible caches and did not log the others I have found and signed this year. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
Spent the day exploring the Flinders and scoring a few smilies on the way. Was on the point of moving on to the next cache but then reckoned L&B coordinates are usually spot on so persevered and bingo.
Thanks Liz and Bruce

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and right through the middle.
Now, after a bit more than twenty-four months we're finally on our last big journey through the country. From Melbourne to Adelaide and up north to Alice Springs and then past the Uluru via the great central road to Perth. Of course with a load of detours wherever we find something awesome.
Staying a couple of days in the Flinders Range, hiking and caching all over this amazing place.
This one was a quick and easy find.

Escaped Adelaide for a few days to this magical country.
Love Wilpena and surrounds especially when all green like it is now. Stunning.
Followed the goats and did a short scramble up the hill to find this cache, GZ well hidden in the long grass. Love this gorge, especially in winter. TFTC Liz and Bruce. It gets a favourite from me for location. Cache all good - Left a shell.

After seeing so many dry waterholes around Arkaroola, it was nice to finally see a little bit of flowing water. The local birds seem to enjoy it too :c) After a short wander, the cache was soon located and the logbook signed. TFTC Liz and Bruce!!
