Grrr... muggled out on this one twice this afternoon... Go home people, it's hot outside today...
We headed out this morning to grab a few caches in the area that have popped up since we last were out this way. We made our way to the obvious spot we searched for a bit and we came up with nothing. We then look once more and spotted something, it was the logbook. We didn't see a container in sight, we signed the log and placed it back somewhere obvious.

Finding caches in Toowoomba and in the Lockyer valley keeping to the south of the Warrego Highway. Now down in this area. Found 41 today with no DNF's and 4 yesterday in Toowoomba. This is number 35 for today. I liked this drive. No one around and soon had this one. Signed log YOF as this is what I use to conserve paper space. TFTC Tonned
Don't like lurking around the area of Public Conveniences when look for caches. In this day and age, any activity in areas such as this is viewed suspiciously. Unless accompanied by younger children who are prepared to venture under while the older generation pretend they are the Billy Goats Gruff, we are prepared to give this one a big miss. GoM.
Area recently turfed. We've completed number two and three and if four is much the same this cache may need maintenance. Owner please verify it's still there.
Considering the number of DNFs we weren't too hopeful of a find. This combined with the fact a lady and her daughter manning a pie van were set up in the carpark. Mainly just a visual look around for potential hides while sitting on the new little concrete slab underneath the bridge...not sure what that's all about?? Not wanting to draw attention we left after a few minutes.
Out and about in the Lockyer Valley looking for a few caches before a friends gathering.
Another detour to find a couple more.
I parked the car and the council are here in the creek doing some landscaping. I was approached by the workmen as soon as I turned the corner so I told them what I was doing and they let me continue searching. With a time limit on my searching I soon phoned a friend who pointed me in a direction. It was not too long before I found the cache and took it over to the workmen to show them. They seemed OK with it.
Thanks for the cache.

With a little help from out PAF, we got this one. Very tricky and well hidden ! Tftc
Out for the day caching with angloj. We were wanting to add a few extra smileys to the Gatton/Laidley/Rosewood areas but we also managed to grab them in Lowood and Willowbank as well. A great day all round.
We searched at this one earlier in the day with no luck and after doing a loop and finding a few other caches and using a PAF we decided to come back for another hunt and there the tricky little thing was. Great hide. TFTC Tonned

Have decided that if finding a cache means you are visited by the locals asking what are you doing, it is not worthwhile so Grumpy Old Trolls will be getting a miss from me. I love explaining caching to muggles but not when you can't find the cache to back up the story. Sorry a big DNF and a fair bit of embarrassment for me today.
Loo around everything but no luck. The Grumpy Old Troll scared me off. Thanks anyway.
Today we turned blue to yellow.
Our last day in the area and the decision was made. It is raining , no self respecting person should be at the park. Mud, drips from above and water in the creek made for some good sound effects.
Again we felt as if we had touched all of the bridge in places we felt we should not be placing our hands.
Then our daughter (saggyL) spotted the prize, we all moved in to check out the hide. Now for our second adventure for the day, the boys in blue arrived to check out what we were doing. After the usual show and tell they left quite satisfied that we were not up to no good but just having fun.
After this our daughter had a good wash down in the creek and we continued on our way.

We add our names to the growing list of DNF's. and feel no shame. This is obviously a very clever hide.
We spent over an hour here today, climbing around under and over the bridge, we stood back and surveyed the scene and still we could not find the front door to the troll's home to get his help in finding the cache.
We have done No. 1 and we checked back to see if we could gather any info, and we do remember the cache hide from No. 1, this did not help us at all. A breeze you say, no breeze today just light rain.
We circled again and again, then went and had lunch to try and clear our thoughts and start afresh, still nothing.
One place that I thought would be ideal was looked at a couple of times and then thoroughly inspected with the aid of a torch and still nothing.
We will be back after the mega.

Unfortunately I haven't found your others so no breeze blowing here for me. Searched for quite a while then workers arrived for their morning tea so I moved on. I be back. TFTH Tonned
Not an easy one, and after looking at the logs I wasnt positve I would get it. However i can confirm this still exists! TFTC.
A quick stop here with Geckomaster62 and Cosmos the geo-dog this morning.
We spent around 10 minutes looking at the usual suspects and trying to think laterally. But we weren't that keen on getting dirty and cobwebby so early in the day.
The cache did not materialise
Cheers Tonned, maybe next time.

I was just driving back and I saw that there was a cache so I parked and had a look but couldn't find it
Couldn't find!!! We searches everywhere and couldn't see anything that resembled a cache
Too many people around at lunchtime today for a look but I did look at the places it might be hidden for future reference. Ran into the CO 2 days latter who confirmed my thoughts might be right.
We were a bit concerned with all the DNFs after our visit so we dropped by this evening to check.
All good, exactly where we found it (and left it).

Well, we searched and searched. We tag teamed. We looked for different types of containers. Finally... we gave up.
I think perhaps the difficulty needs to be upped on this one.
On a brighter note, Miss 4 enjoyed the playground immensely and didn't want to leave.

We have been there five times and spent about one and a half hours and still no luck think i'll leave this for a while.
We spent quite a while with no luck. Kept going back but each time the same result.
Nasty Grumpy Old Troll wouldn't show his head.
Stairman1 and I were up this way this morning and was surprised to find a new release with only 1 find. Well we thought we would make it two finds but not to be.
We searched for an hour on our hands and knees but the Grumpy Old Troll just wouldn't play nicely today.
Must say we haven't found any other grumpy old trolls yet which may have helped. Oh well another day. TFTH

** FTF **
Saw this one last night but couldn't get away then. Checked again tonight and saw it still hadn't been found so grabbed the Geohound and off we went after dinner.
Took a while, so many nooks and crannies, but we did finally locate it. And the log was clean.
A nice way to celebrate our #70 cache.

An hour in the dark and no luck. Had the perfect chance for a FTF while everyone else is watching doctor who or biggest loser. Unfortunately that also meant that no one turned up with knowledge on what others in the series looked like.
