The title reminded me of our Japan trip last year it was a well made red torri (gates) cache hidden away from the tourists. Great memories there. This cache was easy enough to find. Not sure whether it is placed as what is originally intended. I placed it where I found it. TFTC
Took ages, we were looking in completely the wrong spot - was actually a very quick find once we started looking in the right place! Tftc
Typical of a Duck 43 cache- always taking advantage of the environment to create a interesting and fun cache. Thanks Duck 43
We checked a few dead ends here before Lndnlad laid his eyes on the prize Tftc duck 43
After a brief but fruitless search my eyes finally locked onto the hiding spot. Glad to get this one and know that Im not just out here making up the numbers lol. Pleased to be getting my caching back after a while away. TFTC duck 43
Found pretty easily, but needed to use daughters magnetic golf marker to extract the cache. TFTC.
Took a while to find and then came the problem of extraction. Thankfully we found something ferrous lying around tftc
Had to use my fingernails to get this one out, but very satisfying to finally log. TFTC.
First find for today. Camo is peeling off, there hardly is any left on it. My 576th find.
Decided to take the other half on a duck hunt. Knew where the cache was from my last attempt (pre-Covid). This time I knew how to retrieve it. Log was all mashed so I took a photo to prove my visit. Did a victory lap of the bridge on the pushies. Wheeeee! TFTC.
Spent a lot of time here, and was about to give up. Spotted another possible hiding place which was useful later on for recovering the cache when I finally spotted it.
With owkeys help I found the cache. Over six years since my first DNF here. Added to the favourite points. Thanks duck43.
Fairly quick find with camanda, wasn't prepared but used my Caribbeana from my keys. Tftc
The new hint made it much easier to come prepared, have to be patient and jiggle a lil
Finally!!! Old hint made no sense, new hint explains reason for old hint. Well done. Been here 4 times now....
Took some searching, but eventually found it after fashioning an access tool.
TFTC!
TFTC!
I was looking at the title for inspiration, so I searched and searched. When I looked further afield, it was an easy find.
Another one. On a roll now. When found, the lid was on very tight. Took a while to jemmy off.
Relied on the clue and fashioned a makeshift extraction tool from discarded material nearby (while doing my best to avoid getting tetanus in the process).
Another fun concept .

This one took some finding! After a days caching we didn’t want to go home with a DNF. We persisted and searched a bit further and soon had the cache in hand. Found whilst out on a caching day with I C Nothing, Meme28 and Cirrus_WA. TFTC!
As expected the area at GZ was empty and I tried a number of different options before actually looking and noticing something that didn’t look right and turned up the cache.

Joined up with I C Northing, Kapelula & Meme28 for a day out caching. The plan originated with the idea to head up to Whiteman Park and try and clear the area of unfound caches. Over coffee this morning the plan changed a little as the idea of a hot day out with little chance of breeze had us looking a bit closer to the city.
Getting into the car with no real destination it was suggested heading to grab some duck caches and see where the day led us. And boy what a day it was, we ended up caching all around the river from Applecross into Fremantle, through Mosman Park before finishing up near Mt Henry Bridge.
At the end of the day I finished with 41 finds, 0 DNF’s & 1 didn’t look for. Ticked off some older caches, got some rarer attributes added to the tally and picked up a first to find.
----------
Thanks duck 43 for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2708 for me.

Thank you for the recent maintenance! This took longer than expected but soon the cache was signed and returned as found.
Tricky hide. Used a bit of rubbish nearby to open on this hot day, I really needed a drink of water but didn't have any on me.
Out finding a couple of caches today. Found this one after a short search then spent a while figuring out how to get it. Thankfully nepeancacher engineered a solution and cache was soon in hand. Thanks for the cache
Found this one fairly quickly. Had a good idea of how to get it out according to the hint, but opted for a different method and was successful. I squashed my name next to someone else's as log is full. Tftc Mr. Duck
Finally..have been here a few times and searched that gate so thoroughly..tried something different today and the clue all made sense..as usual duck thank you..cache and log in good condition tftc fav for me
Found the cache quickly then just had to find the way to retrieve it. Took another 20 mins then eventually found it. TFTC
Favourite one yet so sneaky a bit like ducks old bamboo one. TFTC. Classic duck43 bit loud but don’t have to go through the gate! Happy hunting!
we did not find the small beer can opener, but another thing helped us to catch the can

Out on the bike today to pick up some duck 43 caches. Excellent hide here, needed to improvise with what tools I had to retrieve this one TFTC
#5492 7th for today
In Perth and after a wonderful trip across the Nullabor from Adelaide. Our home is Canberra, but we've done the trip from here to Adelaide before so we flew across to Adelaide and hired a car. I've been the Perth pre-GC so it was great to grab a few while I'm here. Beautiful warm weather, great for tackling some of these on foot, but I was a bit tired by the end.
Ingenious. Great spot too.
Thanks duck 43

Very ducky! Quick find and clever mechanism. Are we starting to get the upper hand on The Duck?

On a hunt for the Carnival souvenirs, I targeted several high FP caches this morning in an area that I had not been to before. I spotted the cache fairly quickly but wasn't sure how to retrieve. Tried a method and failed before finally working it out... Thank you duck43, another favourite!
Found the cache easily enough but working out how to retrieve took awhile until the hint finally clicked. Thanks for another creative cache.
Not Found on 18/02/19. Went on a long walk today from Canning Bridge back to Bull Creek with caching the only thing on my mind. Still had a good time even with the DNF.
I went for a walk today .... It’s nice walking under the bridge when it’s hot or if it’s raining ... Just thought I’d check on this cache which we found a long time ago and yes, all is good. The cache is still there and in good condition too.
Had a bit of a head scratch when I found it then thought what would I do...
Only found the clue as I got the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
Once we searched in the right spot it was a quick find. All of the sudden the hint makes sense. Never examined a gate so closely. Tftc The-Shredder
Quick to find, took a while to retrieve using a handy dandy hack saw blade !! tftc
Well, I've overlooked this one for a few years now. Kicking myself about how I completely ignored it. Very well hidden, tftc
After a few minutes spent looking in the wrong places for the right thing I soon had the right thing. A clever cache. A fav and TFTC.
Another tricky one Duck
We do enjoy a challenge and this was no disappointment - thanks for the hint (it only makes sense once you have found it)

Both sets of gates were open today, the hide was a little tricky today as the nearby school boarders kept on coming through the gates. A sneaky hide. tftc
Another day out duck hunting and we came up trumps once again, a variety of hides which all had us impressed. As per usual your hides are a touch of brilliance mixed with a little evil TFTC
We parked at the south end of the bridge and had a lovely circular walk around Swan river. There were so many interesting hides that I would like to give a favourite point to but I just don't have enough.
I thoroughly searched the wrong area before having a think then widening my search. This is such a clever hide. It has to have my last favourite point. TFTC
