Time to get away for the weekend, so a weekend trip to Bendigo (& St Arnaud) was organised with Geoturtle37.Today with the geo-scooters all powered up, we targetted the ORT & PPPT trails. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, whit's wanderers ~~
This trail, or as much of it as we could accomplish, was the target for today. We had a great time and found all that we looked for. Hope to make a follow up trip in the not too distant future. Thanks for keeping the old trail going and filling in the gaps. Lovely trail to walk, ride, scoot etc. Thank you for bringing it back to life for geocachers.
Quick find , on a trip to Victoria from Orange NSW . Thanks for all the caches , we had an awesome morning finding them
Headed out on our bikes with 4yo for a ride along the ORT for Mothers Day.Our second last find for the day, in a very serene location. Thanks for encouraging us to stop and listen to those frogs and birds.TFTC
We have set off on our annual winter escape but with no real plans other than a set of ideas. Our first stop is Bendigo, a place we haven't visited for any length of time in the past. There appears to be much to see and a good variety of caches to keep us entertained. We met up with our caching buddies Rebel Acts and Omegaman for a few days as well which added to the laughs and fun.Caches logged as RASPOM or SKI Pair if they had already found them. This is one of the caches we have found to date.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache whit's wanderers.**SKI Pair****
I'm hitting the road again with my Rebel Acts and Ski Pair to have some fun and explore new places. While I don't mind caching locally, there is nothing like a road trip for a few days putting smiles on the map. I had a great time with lots of laughter and caching fun. Today's logs are signed as RASPOM.
Ghihash called and it was time to start our season of caching (we dont tend to cache during the summer months for the snakes can have the bush for a bit) After deciding that we needed 2 cars we started on the 5km stretch of the rail trail. Lovely weather and other than the odd bike that we had to avoid drawing attention to ourselves a quiet afternoon. I had not completed this stretch before they were archived so listening to Ghihash story about the last trip was good fun. TtfcSorry for the generic log
Coordinates had us a bit off at first. After a bit of looking around had the cache in hand. TFTC
I walked the Bendigo end of the trail today and checked on all the caches. This one was all ok so I put it back ready for the next cacher.
We are visiting Janets sister in Bendigo for Christmas so an early morning wakeup had Brad out on the OKeefe Rail Trail. Did not stop for all of the caches by grabbed a few. On Boxing Day we will be hading to Sydney to catch up with the children J2 and B2 as well as the granddaughter. Maybe she can find her first cache while we are there? The trail was a very pleasant ride. And a beautiful day too. The only minor issue was finding coffee at the end of the ride but the coffee van in the Lake Weeroona carpark did the hob nicely Thanks to all the hiders and maintainers. And Merry Christmas 2023 to all
TFTC - A few days in Bendigo. Attempting the rail trail today on my e scooter Cache is good condition
Geoteen was spending a few hours with friends at The Zone. It was the perfect opportunity for me to dust off the mtb & nearly complete the O'Keiffe Trail. I think I've managed to miss one
This wee monkey was a bit shy. I looked in all the places where I thought it could be but drew a blank. As more cyclists approached, I pretended to be on a call & wandered around a bit. With the trail quiet again, I cast my search wider. 10m from where my phone pointed, I made the find. Many thanks

This one needs some maintenance as the container is rusted and no longer water proof. Log soggy and wet.

Took a bit of searching but found it in a fairly obvious spot Tftc

Couldn’t find it I had suspicions of one of the fence posts but unless it’s a bolt in the post which the difficulty says otherwise
Started the O'Keefe Trail on my bike at lake Weeroona and worked my way down towards Axedale. All caches were found in good working order unless otherwise specified.
Thanks heaps for the caches and maintaining them for us to enjoy.

After an enjoyable trip to Bendigo about a month ago we decided we would check out the Bendigo area again and do a bit of geocaching which we are slowly getting back into after the a pandemic induced slow down.
While having an early lunch at a local bakery I spied this trail on the the app and thought it would be a good walk for the five of us.
It's still very enjoyable on shank's pony rather than on our bikes.
A perfect day for geocaching, the sun was out but it wasn't too hot.
This is a great little trail. And we all really enjoyed our walk. The caches are all well maintained.
I note that this section closed the year I was born. Good vintage!
Thanks whit's wanderers/jtnsilo for placing and maintaining this cache for us to enjoy.

TFTC Another one marked off the okeefe trail list…only 10,000 to go lol! With help from Spunkyspunk
Today Trouble and co decided to venture from the big 4 into Bendigo. We had little mr and miss trouble in tow. The kids managed the 7km trail from the caravan park into bendigo like little legends the caches we found along the way kept the kids entertained and distracted from how far they had to travel.
Thank you for your time and effort you place into your caches

We are visiting Bendigo for a few days and decided to do part of the rail trail today.
Spent last weekend in Mildura and headed back home via Bendigo stopping for breakfast. Lucky we didn't go for a haircut! just the cafe, so far so good on the covid front.
Sunday mornings are Trailstevo and my walk day, 10km+ normally and a coffee, on this occassion a 6.5km out and back along the trail. 13km in total and collecting a bunch of the PPPT series. Thanks for bringing us to this trail, the weather was perfect and we enjoyed the fresh air.

Up at Heathcote for an Astronomy weekend, and did a bit of caching in the area during the day.
Unloaded the deadly treadly and rode the rest of these caches into Bendigo.
A good collection of sizes and hides made for a very pleasant ride.
Thanks, Robmc.

After a morning spent at the Hole In One comp, (Yay, I won a prize) and then meeting muggle GF's parents, it was time to unwind with a good stretch of the legs. My lady is like an Eveready battery, she just never stops. So we walked and walked to grab a heap of these caches in the late afternoon heat.
Our thanks to Whit's Wanderers for placing these caches, and to FOTT for maintaining them.
Next time I'm bring the bike..

Decided to escape town for a few days to do some exploring and get off the couch after a lazy weekend. Packed the car and headed north!
A quick find as the journey continues along this lovely bushy trail
Thanks whit's wanderers for the cache.
