ANZAC DAY FIND!! Fingers needed not torches... Still there despite all the DNF's!!
With all the geokids scouring this, odds were in our favour to find this quickly. Found it in about 5 minutes. TFTC
I think the 25 pounder field gun has just too many hidey holes for little caches. I search and search, the wind was howling and I was slowly freezing. I decided it was time to retreat to the warmth of the car and just then I put my fingers on the little sucker. Why could I have not found it earlier, before frostbite had set in.
Thanks Barnzy12 for the cache.
Thanks Barnzy12 for the cache.
Had a 10 min time limit as I had to pick the kids up from a birthday party, clearly not enough time for me today thanks anyway

I saw the gun and thought oh no...so many hidey spots but even in the pouring rain i managed to find within a few minutes ☺ i managed to sign but log book is full. Tftc
Looked all over it, even in the pictures people uploaded where it should have been, could not find it
Expected this to take a lot longer to find but must have just gotten lucky and chosen the right side to start. Just as well considering it started to rain again just as I finished signing the log. Tftc
There are reports that the lug is full. I doubt this. I replaced the cache some time ago. The log has 35 spaces and there are 21 online logs since that time. About 75% of catchers sign the log, so there should be about 20 spare spaces by my maths. Just unroll the whole log.
Our first geocache! Great way to start, right over the road from our house. Looking forward to doing much more of this.
Just relogging under a new account. Signed log under an old account of Becalicious1 on this day
Have found the cache with a full log. No where to sign it. When you change log I can sign it. Tftc
Took a while but we found it after scrambling all over it.
Log is full so didn't sign, but can send CO a pic for proof if need be. Thanks Barnzy12.

Nice one Barnzy12 we enjoyed it. Had to get a bit of wire to retrieve from where it was living but still a great cache tftc
A feeling of pure dread as i approached this gun. It looked similar to one in Victoria's Geotour at Lake Eildon (Bonnie Doon in fact) which i could not retrieve despite an heroic and quite embarrassing effort that involved lying prone on my back. No such embarrassment here though as usual, i started from the wrong end of the apparatus and it took longer that it should have. Have played tennis next door at Higgins Park on many occasions in the past so was surprised to see this new building here. Thanks for bringing me back here.
Found this one after a short search. Sorry for the late log - am so far behind it isn't funny. But better late than never. Thanks Barnzy12
Nano found took a bit of looking for but enjoyed it. I too visited the memorial with respect.
After a match of AFL 9s a stones throw from here, I made my way here and there was no sign of muggles. I could hear a function going on inside, but outside it was just me and the gun. I stuggled by torchlight, and it had me looking all over, putting my fingers in places they probably shouldn't have gone. Eventually, I found the sneaky nano in a pretty good spot. TFTC Barnzy12.
We usually avoid caches on machinery but this was a quick find. Thanks Barnzy12.
Had reports the nano was on floor. Had a good look couldn't find so have replaced back in original position.

Will replace with black nano on my next visit to Perth on 30 Aug. Unfortunately I left my caching box with spare logs/containers at home.
We couldn't find this the other day and had searched all over it. Tried again today and my eagle-eyed son saw it lying on the ground. We placed it it back on the object it should have been on, but we don't know if we placed it in the right spot. Can Barnzy12 please put it back in the right spot?

Found it. Reported that Barnzy12 needs to place it back in the original spot. The other time we tried to find this one was on 10 July, but couldn't find it (I noticed someone else tried to find it on that day, with no luck), so I suspect it was on the ground on that day too.
Searched high, searched low, searched really low, but no success in finding this cache.
After fueling up the GeoTriton nearby for an upcoming fishing/camping trip this weekend I decided to scout out some of the local caches.
Parked nice and close to the cache here and started the inspection of GZ. Found in about five minutes after a not so systematic search. Think it was more luck than good management.

Found on an early morning bike ride. Didn't take long, maybe a few minutes. Thanks for the cache.
Our first shot at a nano... We didn't realise just how small "nano" meant and it took us 15 minutes to find.
About to give up but on one last thorough sweep I FINALLY found it! Feels so good. TfTC!
Found in the obvious spot, but took a good 10 minutes to locate this nano. Too windy to sign the log.
Touch with my fat fingers not always easiest pays to open eyes as well geowife saw it after I'd felt around the location. Nice RSL and well refurbished gun. TFTC
It took a while to find in relatively easy position. Too many muggles to sign log. TFTC
Needed a cache to feed our daily need and this one happened to be on route back home after helping muggle son build a picket fence.
We have not had much luck previously with nanos on artillery pieces but managed to track this one down after not too long a search.
Thanks for the cache Barnzy12 [^] - all was in good order.

Day 156 in our current daily streak
I've searched for and found a cache here previously, but generally my success ratio is 50/50 with RSL guns, so I approached with some trepidation.
Luck was on my side today, and I had the nano in hand in under 2 minutes Thanks for the cache Barnzy12!

I disturbed a lot of spiders in my search for this cache. In hindsight its a lot easier than my search made it to be. Picked up a GA moveable whilst I was here. TFTC.
Over this side of the rock for a week and having some spare time this morning before starting work headed out to find a nano on complicated lump of metal. Having done a few of these i checked out all the favorite hiding places with no luck. On my next pass I stood back and thought where would I place it . Right there ! and there it was. Thanks for the hunt .
Gave the gun a really good going over on a quiet day with no muggles around. Lots of places to hide a nano here & I'm sure poked & prodded them all!
Will watch this one with interest to see if anyone else has better luck than I do.
Thanks Barnzy for bringing me to this spot that I've passed so often & never stopped to have a look at.

Out after lunch to keep our streak going. I circled GZ a couple of times before I had a TAHDAH moment and soon had the cache in hand. mmmmm a black cache on Friday 13th? Not that I am superstitious or anything. TFTC Barnzy12
Saw this and thought y not do it, so many places to choose for a hide and I found it with the first place I looked while the missus was doing a quick torch scan around it tftc
The thought of a nano on a piece of artillery was almost enough to cause us to bypass this one, we have a bad experience with similar devices in the Guildford area. However, reading the previous few logs gave us some encouragement and we were rewarded with a quick find. Phew!

Found the gun but the rain beat us and we were unable to search. Will come back again. TFTH
It was hard to decide where to look in amongst all that metal but found it with Nosky in no time .... was it luck? tfth

Found by my 7yo son. A good nano and interesting place to visit and read about the Anzac history.
Out caching with my Mum and Dad today... Dad finally found this one! TFTC Barnzy12
As we headed for this one, there was some trepidation as to what we may be in for . We arrived though, and all anxieties subsided as we saw the size of the gun ... we've done bigger guns that that we said, and quickly begun our search.
Well after a good 20minutes, we were still hunting, and getting a little frustrated i might add ... the only one having fun by this stage, was DangerMouse09 .. he loves these things [^]. He had given up the search early, in favour of 'BOOMING" things off in the distance, and asking what every little knob and lever was used for [:o)]
In the end, i happened to check in a spot that i had not previously checked because of our little 4yo 'distraction', and felt something familiar ... YAY ... a cache . We added our names to the log before returning the container and having a picnic lunch in the shade behind where we had parked
TFTC Barnzy12 ... love these old bits of history [^]

WOW! Read the logs saying that the cache was cross threaded! Someone has really stuffed this up, big time! Thanks to that person I have had go fully replace the cache.
All good to go and ready for the next cacher. Same location as before
Regards
Steve

I had a few hours to kill while the dog was at grooming in spearwood so i thought i might as well do some caching.... This was my third stop and the one that took the longest. It was lucky there was no muggles about as im sure they would have wondered what i was doing. I could not sign the log as the nano has been cross threaded. I tried for ages to try and undo it but i just couldnt get it undone. I do have a photo if you want proof i found it. Very sneaky hide TFTC Barnzy12
Wow, you could've been much nastier (and also a lot nicer and hidden in one of the other 10 places I looked ). Thanks for the cache Barnzy12.
I said I'd be back to try again, and this time I was successful with the help of Thorhammer24. TFTC!
Good fun search for nano - finally spotted the nano and signed the log at 1pm. Thanks Barnzy12.
Took me a little while...gotta love a nano on a gun....cheers barnsy12
