A DNF for me here. I hasn't been found since 5/11/2018 (I don't believe the Found on 5/1/2019. The CO needs to check it out.
Coords bang on but no cache here
This had been a planned trip in the company of HKCB to Whangarei but as the weather wasn't the best in the north we thought we would bring this trip forward and head over here to see what we could locate as neither of us had done a whole lot around this area.
Leaving home 7pm Friday evening and returning by midnite Saturday, 954kms travelled and approx. 70 caches located along with about 8 DNF's.
Thanks to all the CO's whom have put out these caches for us and completing the maintenance to keep them going.
The start of a new day and after a few hours sleep it was time to see what we could find with the real challenge being the new virtual as that was a primary goal for the trip. With the light up and no rain the day was looking good for a few caches.

This weekend had been booked into headed to Whangarei with Cats&Dragons for a bit of caching, but as the weather wasn't looking flash at all, so we decided to head East instead to Gisbourne as we both hadn't done much caching in te area. Leave home about 7pm Friday, and returning home midnight Saturday meant we got a fair bit of caching time in for the limited time we had. All up we found just under 70 caches in total, so a big thanks for all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches we found on this trip.
Coords bang on and matched the hint, however nothing to be found. Expanded the search and checked other possible spots as well with no luck either.

Today we made a trip from Hicks Bay to Gisborne, again on the route of the Pacific Highway, thereby visiting many new sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was very good all day long, a bit colder in the morning but it got warmer in the afternoon. Funny clouds were our compagnions especially in the afternoon.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to Jr taybee for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Another Bridge (Gisborne). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

One week off during school holiday time, combined with some cheap flights made a great adventure in the HB and Gisborne area, popping into BoP a couple of times also. I had great fun and I am grateful to all CO's who placed the caches for others' entertainment!! Once I worked out the access it made sense! TFTC!!
Yip, parked the car then found the cache without too much difficulty. More great views of the ocean. Thanks for the hide.
Parked on the side road ans quick walk through the reserve to grab this one. TFTC
I have an alert on my phone to let me know when there are airfares from Wellington to anywhere for under $20. A few months ago I booked a return ticket to Gisborne for today... $19 each way. My plan is to find as many caches as I can and then head home to the Hutt Valley in time for dinner. A great plan if you ask me!
The weather played its part too. It was forecast for cold with a few showers but it turned out fine and reasonably warm. However, it was even better in Wellington today according to the news tonight.
I had a great day. Unfortunately, many of the caches I looked for were in need of maintenance and some were impossible for me to find.
I parked at the wrong end of the bridge so had to take a short stroll across to GZ. The two containers are doing their job and keeping the paper nice and dry. I spotted the hiding place from about 5m away.
Once again, I traveled all the way to Gisborne to find a taybee cache. I could have stayed home in Wellington and done that.
Thank you

On the road for our first venture into the North Island with our little caravan to explore this part of the country. It is not a caching expedition as such, but we do manage to stop for one or two . We’ve been on the road now for 23 days since arriving in Wellington and have made it to Gisborne, via Mahia, Wairoa, Napier, Cape Kidnappers, the Wairarapa, Cape Turnagain and Cape Palliser. Had a variety of weathers, but mostly ‘good’, until the last few days , we are waiting to see what Hola might do and fortunately last night was a bit of a ‘no show’, thank goodness. We have already seen and discovered lots of interesting things about our country that are new to us. Our travels lead us to your cache, as we travelled north, many thanks, taybee, for bringing us here. We’ve had great fun so far and look forward to finding a couple more caches as we travel on our way. TFTC.
12:40:00 PM. Parked near the beach and walked up. It was good to stretch our legs. Log signed. Thanks taybee for the cache.
After spending most of the day at the Rere rockslide, we came here to relax a bit and enjoyed this beach.
Thanks for the cache, quick find, all good and dry.

Couldn't find anything. GPS seemed to be bang on the third post, but being the 5th not to find leaves me wondering if it's still all good.

Then we went to Melbourne where we visited the city and the surrounding area . then we went to closing in the north of Australia . During this time we visited several geocaches and were brought to very nice places through this partially . We also had the opportunity to visit some very old caches , which extremely pleased us . We wish to thank Owner for nurture and cherish the caches .
Travelling around the East Cape for the long ANZAC weekend and now reaching the home straight into Gisborne.
Quick detour off the main road park up in a dead end street and Mr NZT grabbed quickly. Just another one or two before finding some petrol!

Looked again for this with a cacher who had found it before. Wasn't in the location she remembered. Maybe it's gone missing
No luck. Went to where we expected it to be and no luck. Think it's definately gone.
Emma - "that was really good, you can comment though. I don't know what to say."
A quick easy find at the new coordinates this morning, with markhnz, thanks to prompt action by the owner in replacing the missing cache. TFTC

Passing through on a bike ride around the East Cape; finding some geocaches along the way. TFTC.
Out for the day with Chookfarmer, windy, damp and rather cold but hey, who cares. In spite of an extensive search under, over, around and up and down we could not come up with the goods on this one. Must be well hidden or our eyes are painted on.
We were traveling from Gisborne to Opotiki. Hence it was our first bridge and we didn't know by now. Couldn't find it.
Found this, but minus a lid to keep it dry, so happened to have one that would do the trick, added a plastic bag and silica gel so it will last the winter. TFTC
Another Bridge we are most familiar with, nice spot with some great views, many thanks for the cache.
A little confusion at the start whether to look under or over but finally put 2 and 2 together with a little help. Good little hiding spot! Found with Tarzann.
A really drive-in-cache. Stop the car, get out, grab the box, do the log and drive to the next. TFTC
Camped at Pouawa last night and found this on the drive into Gisborne for Christmas with family.
Many thanks
