Logs
I went for a morning drive to visit some places and find a few caches. The route to the cache was dry today. No problems here. Cache found safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
#12,339. I am on an 8 day holiday in the South Island, mainly staying around Christchurch and using my sisters farm house near Leeston as a base for geocaching. This morning I did some bird watching out at Lake Ellesmere. Now heading towards Tai Tapu. Glad there was no water in the ditch today. Quick find and sign. Thanks Aslan* for hiding your cache out here.
Not many cars around today. Must have come at the right time. Took me longer than it should have. But got there in the end. TFTC
Spent some time scratching through the leaves but eventually found it. Log is quite full. Replaced as found.
Nice easy find, on a nice easy day. Luckily, literally out my hand right on it. Saved a search... Cheers!
We had been out with a group of cachers to do the new ones in Tai Tapu. After we came past to pick up this one. Car seat sitting here had us looking at that first then found as per hint. Thanks for this cache Aslan*.
Took a few moments to find but my lack of height was probably the reason for this
I spotted this car upside down in the ditch I was trying to jump over. No damage so I signed the log and placed it back above where I found it. TFTC # 17,450
A lot of leaves around. Got my jandal stuck lol. Relatively easy find though
Had a nearby site meeting so spent my lunch hour tracking down some nearby unfound caches. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache.
It's a find! Not a quick one nor an easy one and it took some persistence and agile body movements but got there in the end. It's a quiet spot fortunately.
Some water in the container which I tipped out. Log roll is damp but not wet.

No luck today. Could be well buried under plenty of fallen leaves perhaps? Anyway, I’ll have to return some other time.
Container , logbook ... Going next...

28 caches to go for the Mystery at the Museum promotion and only one afternoon to do it!
Finished work at 2.15pm and made my way to Tai Tapu via the airport, Rolleston, Lincoln, and Springston.
I'll apologise now for the cut and paste logs - I didn't finish until 6.30pm, indent remember the actual order I did them, and it's now a day later and I'm only just starting to log them!
Here's hoping the late logs still count.
Thanks to all the COs, it's good to finally find some of the puzzle caches I solved a few years ago, and also to avenge a prior DNF.

I had planned to head on to Lincoln form the last cache, but turned the wrong way; I stopped to sort out my route & this cache was nearby - how lucky was I?
No traffic around, no muggles - cache was soon in my hand. Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, Aslan* .

In CHCH for a few days whilst jgirl1880 completes a course for work. Nice quick find here today thanks
Out and about with 2wombles, on a Tai Tapu clearing mission, we thought we could take a day and get some in Tai Tapu and then head towards Lincoln, but by 1400 we hadn't left Tai Tapu, we had this lined up on the way to the rail trail, a quick search and boom there it was. all in good order. 2W signed the log and I stamped it, I like using my stamp.
Thank you for bringing us to this area, and maintaining the cache to keep the game alive in the area. no wards to the next one.

No problems locating the cache today. Thanks for the cache.

I have been planning this trip for a while now as I had some airpoints due to expire and wanted to go somewhere for Wellington Anniversary Weekend. So I've made it a 4 day weekend and come down from Palmerston North for a caching road trip. I have two goals for this weekend, to get to 2500 caches before 23 January (which I've completed) as that is when I took up caching last year and to get caches on as many latitude minutes as possible that will hopefully qualify me for a challenge cache in the Manawatu. This is day four and my last day. I've had a great time and found over 200 caches but it's time to head home to reality.
Another quick find here. TFTC

Tried a few approaches before discovering an easy one. Nothing to swap sorry but good idea. Tftc.
Nearly came a cropper with the ditch, but made it unscathed. Didn't have a car to swap but left some pirate gold instead.
Loved the idea of this cache and loved the swaps. swapped a car for a car and my wee boy loves it. tftc found with chiko1
Found with StreetWalker on a Lincoln to Tai Tapu caching raid on a lovely sunny winters day.
After finding several puzzles, it was time to look for a few trads in the area too. Don't think I've been down this road before.
Quick find in the obvious location, and I am very pleased we didn't have to jump that ditch! TFTC.

#12598. Had to be careful to keep clear of the barbed wire as I maneuvered to GZ. Quick find once there. TFTC.
Enjoying holidaying down South with tmann421. More wet weather today.

Easy cache to find after flagging away a previous one in the area which we deemed too difficult to access. Tftc
A quick easy find, with a completely dry ditch, although it can be avoided anyway. TFTC
Lovely day for a trip to the countryside. Recommend ice creams at Tai Tapu afterwards!
The find was much too easy, as the cachebox was in full view from any distance. I hid it again so it can't be seen from the road. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2352)
Found in between passing cars! Wow, quite a busy wee road, especially when you're trying to mind your own business and find and sign a cache! TFTC Aslan*, #8155
Great family cache, thank you! The kids loved ditch jumping and tree climbing. Tftc
This was interesting. Really glad the other half was around to assist the body!! TFTC

Found it while on my lunch break. Had the GZ to myself, although a few vehicles whizzed past they were all too busy to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to, quick easy find, however the terrain had it’s challenges TFTH
Squatting in the ditch as I signed the log, I found myself wondering what the ten or so cyclists going past thought I was up to. TFTC
Time to go home to clean the car - but this cache was done as the last of our caching tour. TFTC
