A local has a really good story to tell about this bridge so clearing the way for them to publish a cache here.
I came and searched for your D2.5/T2.5 Traditional today, but it didn’t reveal itself to me. We climbed high. We went low. There has been significant water events here, so this may have been a casualty.
Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 7: Mega Day. Do the gadgets and hit the trails.
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Many laughs with friends at events and on the trails, many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
We looked everywhere we could see from below. Then it was to climb and search everywhere we couldn't see from below. [^] Still no cigar. Might need a owner check to make sure it is still there.
**Thanks Paul_the_Hippy for the search anyway. **

Nice find on a lovely old bridge. I love exploring this area so close to Melbourne. Thanks.
Number 500 and as close as we can get to our 2nd anniversary! Our first cache was on 29/2/2020. We kept this cache in reserve for something special, We actually found it before we had premium membership but didn't log it. Mark lived in the house visible to the west of the bridge since birth well into adulthood and remembers this bridge being built around 1964. Nillumbik Shire have plans to put up a sign naming it "Laidlay's Bridge", there is also a cache at "Linton's Bridge" and "Burke's Bridge" over the same creek. Maybe we can get Paul to re-name the cache to "Laidlay's Bridge"? Blackberries are good here today as well.
The last stop on our adventure to Nutfield today and our 3rd bridge cache. A quick find at GZ. We dropped off a Travel Bug. Thank you Paul_the_Hippy for placing and maintaining Hippy Cache Recycling 2 - Possum Troll for us to find today.
Find # 945.
Find # 945.
Lovely little area Jayce jumped when we were under the bridge and a car went over
Luckily not washed away with the recent rains. Water line was up fairly high, very slippery. Parking is also tight. Nice location though!
Found but left our own at the car and was too lazy to go back. Geokid got the fright of his life when a car drove over at us. Had a pit stop at apteds orchard on the way
**Find #3419**
Out enjoying an evening of caching with the Geo-wife. Searched for a while then the Geo-wife spotted the cache out in the open. We placed it back where we thought it should be.
Thanks **Paul_the_Hippy**

Nice easy find on a very pleasant drive. Good to be able to get more than 5K from home. Was visiting nurseries and this was a nice diversion
Out to enjoy the sunshine within my 25kms. Was a great day to walk in some parks that have been out of my reach for a long time.
The property owner was on the other side of the bridge mowing his lawns so I managed to find a break to make it to the bridge undetected. Found the cache but it was unfortunately on the ground and spilled open. The log was a tiny bit damp but still in good shape. Signed and replaced all the contents in the container and replaced it in the location it likely fell from.
Thanks Paul_the_Hippy for placing the hide!

Not hard at all after going to the other side! Much appreciated for the cache!
A quick and easy find.
On approach to the bridge we both recognised that we had been here before... briefly.
It was dark and late so we abandoned that attempt.
BTW Mr Riddell wishes Paul the Hippy a Happy Birthday.

Out for a drive, we came across this lovely area and bridge. Tried one side, then the other for an easy find. Thanks Paul_the_Hippy
Kookaburras laughing from the nearby gum tree.
Yellow cherry plums are almost ripe for the picking.
A single muggle drove on by.
Serenity.
No possums were disturbed in the finding of your geocache Paul.
Thank you, Rod & Christine.

Travelling home from from work in a very much round about fashion but on such a nice afternoon, it's nice for it to not be dark, come on Summer, just around the corner now
Tried one side, then the correct one, turned out to be an easy find in a nice quiet location.
**Thanks for placing this cache Paul_the_Hippy**

This was the team's second find of the day after liberating Dreamy Bear and he wanted to visit a bridge so we did. Cache was found after a couple of minutes of head scratching and suddenly the cache made itself visible . Log was duly signed and cache duly replaced TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
Found @11:25 while out running errands on a lazy Sunday. An interesting old bridge in a lovely part of the world. TFTC! Left a pencil pack and Coles mini, took nothing.
After a find in Hurstbridge we continued around the corner and up the road to make a find on this cache. At first we entered the area from the wrong side. We didn't want to try crossing the trench, even though it was devoid of water, so came back up and went around. Made the find, signed the log. TFTC.
I the area waiting for geo-wife, saw this one reasonably close by,
So a quick dash, just enough room to park close by, and soon had this little cache
in hand and log signed.
thanks Paul_the_Hippy

I needed a cache with a particular D/T combo as a minimum threshold for a challenge I'm most of the way through. I'd been up this way before so I decided to come up this way today to collect this particular cache. Parked at the conveniently demarcated spot that cachers before me had marked out and took the walk down.
I didn't find the cache where I thought it would be but rather resting on one of the supports. I'm pretty sure it ought to be higher when the rains begin again but seeing as I'm not the CO and wasn't there when it was placed I thought I'd leave it to him to sort out the correct placement.
Nonetheless a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for bringing me here, Paul_the_Hippy.

Had a spare day so I picked an area on the map that I have not visited before.
Visited Yan Yean Reservoir Park for a wLk and continued on in the area to find a few caches.
Parked to the side and had a look at the creek then soon had the cache in hand.
It has been awhile since I have found one of Paul’s caches.
Thanks Paul_the_Hippy TFTC.

Well, this was a fun little cache! I was with slipscache and we didn't know which side of the bridge it was. We soon parked on the wrong side and crossed over this quaint log bridge. I had a look about and nothing stood out. Then slipscache said "There it is". It was hiding just like a cache would and in a cheeky spot. The cache itself was well camouflaged and I noticed the recycling element to it. The log was signed and placed into its fun hiding spot. We then crossed the river which consisted of a little trickle, maybe with a bit of rain it gets hectic. Thanks for bringing us here Paul!
Found this one easily enough. Possibly in the same place as the original but I can't remember - it was 2008!
I was in the area to finish a series of caches and thought an extra one or two would be great. TFTC. Not so easy for the vertically challenged like myself.

Found with Cybergran V and locus cache on avery busy day hunting down the "Space Endeavor" series for the swag of souvenirs on offer and they were all logged very promptly before time ran out.
Logging of the handfull of trads gathered on the to and fro however (including this little ripper) may have been overlooked in my rush for caching glory.
The cache and log were found signed and returned in good order and marsupial free.
TFTC Paul_the_Hippy
I think this may be the first of your hides I have come across but hopefully not the last. [^]

As I'd started off being 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
Cybergran V and dalerious had planned to spend the day finding the Space Endeavour series and they kindly asked me to join them Rex came too and had his first full day out geocaching [^]
By days end which was accompanied by thunder and lighning, I had found 46 caches and had 2 DNFs. We had rain and were dripping wet, we had glitter and were sparkly, we had lunch at St Andrews where Rex was not allowed into the market because apparently he is a dog We also found the whole Space Endeavour series and by doing so have apparently earned enough points in the Planetary Pursuit geocaching promotion to obtain all of the souvenirs
No possum trolls seen today, only the cache

Dalerious did the clambering, after the cache was signed locus cache took Rex the Geopup for a walk to meet a horse.
Thanks for the cache, no possums were disturbed in the finding thereof.

Very conveniently, the Vic mega coincides with Show Weekend again, and popping over for 3 days is definitely worthwhile compared to just two. After spending ages in the supermarket, i decided to have a leisurely drive around and find a few to keep myself entertained. The weather was a bit interesting, and I did encounter a major storm along the way, but not a drop as I was caching! This was so much fun!! Quite slippery! TFTC!!
Enjoy exploring / caching around here.
Thanks Paul_the_Hippy for bring me here and cache

Thanks Paul the Hippy for this cache.I love old buildings/structures and the bush. This cache is in a lovely spot that combines both. Will and I got out to find the cache , while the rest of plowfive lazed in the car (and consequently missed out)! What a beautiful old structure in a beautiful place. Thanks for bringing us here.
Easy find with team pukes. Having a snack of lunch near the bridge where we parked and then went to grab this one. Good thing I have long arms. TFTC. Left a little Dino friend
Very cool cache, easy to find but a little bit tricky to reach. Another favourite from TeamPukes
Geokid #1 claimed the find though we left it to geodad to make the actual grab. Takes a bit of skill to do this one.
Got this one in the company of the McLookers, great recycling done here, thanks for the cache.
did come up this way to attend the clean up day at Hurstbridge, was a day early so a few caches were in order, to fill in my time , this was a place that I have visited many times while working for Telecom, was a great little area for lunch BBQ, and bit of a sleep Thanks Paul the Hippy for placing this cache and getting me some exercise as well
Log was damp so put new sheet into baggie and replaced back in place

Heading home from Diamond Creek after the weekend so took the opportunity to grab a few caches on this lovely day. Wet under foot and a horse/rider for a muggle but then is was a quick find.
Thanks Paul_the_Hippy for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

A case of déjà vu I think....must have found the original as well. It always nice to make a return visit to the area TFTC and the recycling

In the area for work today, was great to have some shade for awhile . Found after a few minutes of searching.
Was a little worried about those lizards with no legs at Gz. But none today.
Cheers for the cache

Visiting some friends in Hurstbridge today so managed to grab a few caches. Not an area I had been to before but I enjoyed having some time to enjoy the fresh air, the wildlife and the countryside. This was my final one of four finds for the day as just as I arrived here I got a message to say I needed to return to base to deal with a baby poo emergency. A quick scramble later and I had the cache in hand. Loved seeing the detail of this old structure. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited a TB. Thanks for the Paul the Hippy.

Took a while...can't do anymore on the 'thing'. Used to be able to do the whole lot. Nice spot. Lovely creek.
Traveling to northern Vic on my own today, so I had plenty of time to do some caching. I found this one. tftc.
Crusty.
Crusty.
The kids asked me what I wanted to do today as it is my birthday, and I said lets get some caches.
While the kids were petting the horse close by I went down and started a search. I spotted it quickly and headed north. When I opened the cache I made my mark in the log and noticed something else. I don't want to spoil it but I gave you all a head start and completed the first 2 layers.
Thanks for the cache Paul the Hippy.

Staying in Doreen with my family for a few days for some unfortunate family business, I chose to take my muggle Mum out for a small caching adventure ... At first we approached this cache from the wrong side & after discovering our error we headed across the very busy bridge to the other side... I'm sure the motorists must have wondered what we were doing, but we just gave them a wave & continued on our way
Once on the correct side, I was quick to discover this one from the distance whilst looking elsewhere.... With a bit of a hop skip & a jump the prize was mine, although again Mum must think I am mad lol [^] TFTC Paul the Hippy... Cache was in good condition.

Went the long way home tonight just to grab a few caches, this is a pleasant place to stop rather than the peak hour traffic stops! Walked down to GZ and poked around here and there, until I spotted the cleverly accessible hide , dropped in a TB that I picked up down frankston way, , thanks for the cache here
Back and forth, back and forth. Up and down, up and down then just as we were starting to get disheartened geomum looked up - found it! Sorry to the muggle who was mowing his lawn that had to listen to the kids whining about wanting to see the possum
Trolls mean one thing and EuDes did the hard work. Log signed at 13:20, the first entry since May but many say they have found the cache. TFTC
This was our last one before heading back for the pickup and it took a few moments before we finally spotted the hide. Monkey or possum - it didn't really matter and we were soon signing the log at 13:25. It was interesting to see the date of the last log in the book ... never mind.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Paul_the_Hippy.

Four of us were looking for this one today until Jacko83 made the find. Thanks for the challenge and for the opportunity to obtain a smilie here!
Our twelfth find of the day out caching with Jacko83 and suss vulture. We all clambered around and dodged the prickles (some more successfully than others !) then Jacko83 put his climbing skills to the test and we soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks Paul The Hippy !
Thanks Paul The Hippy !
Couldn't find anything at GZ today. They GPS was a little wild and I was upand down the bridge and the fence all the way down to the creek. Simply too much to check out, so I'm DNF'ing this one today.
