Checked on this today and found it exposed and in pieces. Have taken home to dry out.
Beautiful park, lucky locals to have this on their doorstep. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found it today with neopink05 and neoblack09. Had a great walk among the giants.
Great spot, TFTC.
Great spot, TFTC.
caching with our new recruits sabre2th on their first day out - after finding one close by one member of our party decided just one more it's only less then 200 mtr away - off we go quick find in the dark - BIG MISTAKE we made as when we got back to the car discovered the gates were locked - first cache we have had to "PAY" for!!! oh well we end the day on an even 12 finds - good first day effort for sabre2th's
Nice easy find - on dark. Right about now, the council were locking the park gates. Whoops - our fault. Expensive cache - Lol.
Not many mugglers at night.

Wandered around in the Park with Splattynz & Mosh and quickly found this one, signed and moved onto the next. TFTC nzkites
Wow! These trees are massive, thanks for taking us on a walk among the Giants, and for the cache.
Decided to ride the bike through the park picking up caches along the way. Some of these trees are huge!!
Many thanks
Many thanks
Spotted likely GZ at a distance - sent Master Perry to secure the area. No visual on his end so expanded search grid. GPS continued to point to original location so sent Mast Perry back in there. 'Nope' I was reassured.... so I got in there. Found with little effort, only 15mins of my life wasted. I've handed him his first written warning
Quick find on a great Sunday morning walk, took me back 20yrs to when I went to Tauranga Intermediate and we had to run cross country up here
Those are certainly large trees. Cache easily located as it was sitting out in the open. Once log signed returned back and used a bit of natural material to hide it away from muggle eyes. TFTC
Stopped at Yatton park to do three caches on our way to training tonight as we were early this afternoon. Found the three caches in the park then went onto drop the kids of at training and did a couple more caches. Good to meet you Nzkites at my evil series#1
I do love an interesting old tree. Knew where it would be as we were approaching, and there it was. Left two wee woodland creatures and their tree and rehid under leaf litter to hide it a little more.
Perfect day, beautiful park, amazing trees.......Monty had a dip in the pond. TFTC. SL.
Beautiful walk in a beautiful park on a beautiful day where dogs outnumber people 3 to 1
New Zealand 2103 trip for the Auckland Mega at Albany. Day 7, Sapphire Springs to Rotorua. This great park had plenty of great old trees to explore and locating the cache was quite a relief. Thanks.

walked around saw the giant, and sent little warriors in to do the hardwork.
It really was a walk among the giants! we thought that the walking was shocking! We swapped a little game for a little dinosaur t-rex. With help from nzkites
Decided that today was the day for a walk around Yatton Park, grabbed this one first as there were a team of people by the BBQ TFTC
Checked this cache while in the area today, all present & correct, pleased to see it's staying dry.

Nice walk around a lovely park, which I have never visited before. Beautiful day for a walk.
Nice easy find.
Nice easy find.
A spur of the moment decision to go for an early evening walk after the rain. It's been years since I was down this way and the trees certainly are impressive. Took a coin and left a couple of TBs.
A good place for a cache, my GPS was off a little so the hint was appreciated. I dropped off my coin collected in Fiji. TFTC
This cache was an enjoyable walk in the park. Thanks for bringing me here. Have now scoped out the next few days cache too. <-))))>
A lovely morning for a walk. Done with Sefrican. Had to wait until some muggles in strollers (with family!) left. Interesting to do the walk from a different starting point.

Had a family outing at Yatton Park today - kids on the bikes, mum and dad walking. This one was found after a quick poke around by the kids. TFTC. #153
2nd find out of the 4 in Yatton park this morning. After a Dnf and a find after a prior Dnf, I thought that I could come and clean up this area a bit. Brilliant location, lovely day to match. iPhone wasn't much help today probably because of the overhead canopy. Anyway, they were all straight forward finds, thanks nzkites.
Nice trees great specimen along this little walkway, very quiet for a lunchtime meander along collecting the odd cache or four

Replaced original container with slightly larger one with inner container containing log etc. Hope this stays dry now.
Not sure why this keeps getting so wet, taken home to dry out again! Will replace asap.
There are some old trees here alright...quite a lot of history. The cache was easy to find was sadly full of water. We tried to dry it best we could (yay for waterproof log sheets) . Probably only the info sheet has suffered. Not sure if lid not on properly but it is now. Thanks pr the cache!
Dried out and back in place now - please make sure the lid is securely clipped shut to keep the water out, thanks.

Yay, our 10th find for the day, first time for double digit finds since Easter, one day our house will be finished and we can concentrate on caching again!!
Had to leave this one for the way back to the van as would you believe I wasn't the only fool to wander the parks in the rain!! The caches was submersed in a big puddle but not to worry as the log was waterproof and there was a pencil in it for an easy sign.
Thanks for the 4 we found in the park today. Awesome, a favourite given to this one for them all.

Just killing time had a few minutes so called into this little park for a hunt. Found quickly. Dumped all the water out but no trouble signing the log. Thanks for the cache!
We're loving Yatton Park today with the leave still changing colour; thanks for bringing us here. Trackable In: Geo Kid.
What a nice park. our doggies loved it and they met a couple of new friends. Found a nice TB in this cache. Remembered me as one of my own
Lovely autumn colours in the park anf geopup enjoyed playing in the leaves. Cache soon in hand TFTC.
What amazing trees, the leaves on the ground were beautiful, the dogs thought that climbing these trees might be the best bet the find the cache. Took Tiki trackable, will take it to Oz with us in July. TFTC
Had to try again on the return walk as family with young kid did not want to move away.
Enjoying the sound of crunching leaves under our feet as we go finding the caches in the park. TFTC!
If only trees could talk - they would have some stories to tell. These tress have been here for a long time and I always enjoy a walk through them TFTC
School holidays... Right about now in our family, parents are getting a bit antsy... How do we preoccupy our children? We send them to their uncle for the day... He's on holiday... Six nephews and neices and four adults later. My offer to come to Tauranga was a smoke screen so I could go hunting for geocaches.
Enjoyed a leisurely stroll beneath some very old trees. We were trying to read the names of them but ended up making up our own names. Arrived at ground zone to find nana and grandpop playing frisbee with their granddaughters. Luckily this was a quick find. I think our entourage of ten people was too overwhelming for the frisbee throwers. They eyeballed us, no doubt well after we had left their sight. TFTC.

Precise hint & an abundance of the necessary cover soon gave us where this one should be.Sure enough we soon had it sorted.TFTC.
An enjoyable walk among the giants. I was hoping I might spot one of those huge pine-cones that are found in Yatton park on occasion, but not today.
It was rather pleasant sitting in the shade of these giant trees, thinking how wonderful it is to be on holiday. A careful watch was needed to avoid being spotted by muggles, as they can come from all angles here. TFTC
