Found by the C's and I's with geogremlins in tow. Left some Disney erasers and took a few little knick knacks. Great spot, love the sound of bellbirds.
More than 10 years later and this colony is still going strong. What a delight. A FP from us.
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. It was a really nice experience visiting this cache. We could hear the Bellbirds which was enjoyable. A FP added for this experience. Thanks greynomads for creating for us all to enjoy. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Exploring the beautiful Gibsland area on our way back up to Moscow Ville area back over Hothom and back home to shepparton. There is an absolute beautiful country out this way beautiful history the old yards from the old Pioneer days. Thank you for bringing us to this location. Quick easy find
What a beautiful little colony. We didnt see them but definitely heard them on our way home today. Tftc
A fantastic and informative description greynomads of the Bell Bird. I grew up on a farm on the Mornington Peninsula and still visit and work on the farm regularly. As long as I can remember we have had a colony of Bell Minors living down the bottom paddock surrounding the dam. Without fail pulling up at the front gate the bell birds are chiming and busy doing there thing.
Thank you so much for placing this cache amongst our beautiful flora and fauna. A favourite for us.️

Satisfyingly traditional cache, found with Nutwood33! Don't think we heard any Bellbirds, but maybe they just weren't at home when we dropped by? Hope all is well with the colony, and TFTC!
We found this cache while on a road trip to Tasmania and our route was taking in this scenic part of the country.
All good.

I stopped here wanting to listen to the bellbirds. All the Geokiddos wanted to do was make noise.

Day 3 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. Today we packed up camp at Woods Point and headed back west towards Bairnsdale via Nowa Nowa and Lakes Entrance to name a few. Today I will hopefully travel through my last UBD map and tick off another LGA on my list.
GPS had us looking in a spot that could have been a needle in a haystack. Fortunately it was a few steps over in a much easier spot.
Thanks Poiter.h for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

What better to do on a sultry summer's day. Beautiful countryside, thanks so much for the cache. TNLN
Nice drive home from Buchan - no bellbirds but plenty of dusky wood swallows tftc
Called in here to hear the Bellbirds, must`ve made too much noise getting out of Zygy because we couldn`t hear them. Cigc. Tftc
Stopped in here to find the cache and see if we can find any Bellbirds. We found the cache. tftc
We made the stop in here on our way back to camp. We didn't hear any birds, but we did find the cache. tftc
Chose to head home for the long weekend via this way. Was a quick find and the cache was in ok condition. Tftc tnln
Found with mezza74. I should say found back in 2013 as muggles while out with a caching friend. I can not believe it has taken so long to finally claim the find, particularly as we have driven past it numerous times over the years. Today with a gap in my finds calendar and having to go up to Buchan for family reasons today we pulled over to make a quick find.
Thanks
Thanks
With geo-sister wanting a cache today did a quick park and grab on the way up to Buchan. Found the cache exactly where I spotted it years ago as a muggle.

We found the cache quite damp and evidence of water below the cache.
Any soggy rubbish was removed and we provided a new bag to keep the log dry.
Lots of small birds to be heard here including
Whip birds, fly catchers, Maggie’s, Willi wagtails, etc but no Bell Miners to be seen or heard... maybe this territorial colony has moved on since the ferocious fires of Summer 2019/20, as this place has been scorched.
Hopefully some breeding pairs survived.

I’ve lived with Bellbirds in the background virtually all through my childhood till I was almost 30. I was a bit disappointed today when I couldn’t hear many , although the rain may have quietened them. Fine weather makes them more vocal. The ground was very wet and slippery adding a bit of danger to retrieving the cache. I found the most likely spot for the hide. The-Evil-Muggle got there before I could and stopped me from crossing a slippery route to the cache. Such nobility!
Beautiful stop on the way to buchan caves! Very glad the cache survived the recent fires! Thanks for the cache!! Found with -minn
Raemoz found it. Bellbirds aplenty. So lucky this cache survived the recent fires. The 2 photos are taken about 20m apart. Tftc
On our Buchan run relief rebuild trip for the bushfire victims. Mornington Peninsula mates giving a hand to rebuild. Great weekend meeting new people and getting to know the locals.
Had to pick up a cache or two on the way home. TFTC

Out and about and this cache was on the list. An easy find with the bell birds whistling in the background deserves a favourite point. Our thanks to the Greynomads for the cache,

First cache for us today after having breakfast at Bruthen Bakery, the day looked like one out of the box. Like others have noted, the birds were quite active as we pulled up, with a quick find at GZ.
Thanks for taking over this cache Poiter, also to Bill & Diana for its placement.

I have driven from Melbourne today to visit the Buchan Caves. We did both cave and we were very happy with them. I found this cache on the way to Lakes Entrance where we are going to have some dinner. Cache was a quick find and yes I could hear all the birds. TFTC.
As the name suggests the sound of Bellbirds in the background at GZ. A well kept cache in a lovely location. TFTC.

What a great weekend away with n0w0rries.
We visited the Snowy River, a gorge and a waterfall.
Celebrated with friends and now it's time to head for home.
A few caches on the way through to finish off our visit.
So many bellbirds here. We hadn't noticed them until now but even after driving off many more were seen and heard.
Thank you for placing this cache and bringing them to our attention, greynomads.

Found after a weekend away from Tassie racing on the Buchan-Orbost Road! Heard the Bellbirds... they are quite loud! TFTC
This is an example of the best of geocaching. Sharing a wonderful bird call location we would never have found ourselves. Sunny day at 11.45am they were loud and many.
Easy find in the rain after an amazing visit to Buchan Caves, TN Left TB TFTC
As per previous logs it was lovely listening to all the bell birds. All good with the cache. TFTC greynomads

With the misty rain and fog, the sounds of these birds created such an interesting mood. Thanks for bringing us here.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you greynomadsfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Wow, this was really a strange sound what these birds make. It was all over when I searched for the cache. Really cool to lettin us stop, otherwise we would not have recognize these birds.
