Adding to this list of DNFs. With AussieMates and no go for us today. Huey looks impressive though.
had a quick look around and couldn't see any cache. I must admit I was discouraged from trying harder when I saw a few DNF's here.
Couldnt find Huey, but found a likely GZ, based on the previous note I think this cache needs replacing

Huey grabbed my attention as we rounded the corner headed for the nearby art gallery.
Had a look, read the sign and headed over to find the cache which was on the ground on the open, replaced where I thought it belonged.
Thanks for bringing me here earthly65

OCW GGCoconut and HJCoconut. We are road tripping north to visit family on the sunshine coast and today is day 2 of our drive.
After picking up some supplies in Coffs, we decided to have our lunch in Woolgoolga and grab a cache or two while in town. In the many trips we've made up there over the years, we've never actually stopped here but it's a favourite location for a couple of family members of ours we were keen to check it out. It seems to be a scenic and very relaxed spot. We enjoyed lunch overlooking the beach and then grabbed a delicious gelato in town before making our way here.
After admiring the Huey and taking a few pics it was onto the cache. Sometimes you just luck out and make a quick find and that was the case here - very nicely hidden! Thanks for placing and for bringing us to such an interesting location!

On a road trip with Themongrel. Starting in Sydney and finishing in Brisbane meandering our way along the coast . Hopefully adding to my LGA tally to qualify for a challenge in Western Australia . Really enjoying the landscape as it’s so different from the west .
Found this one on the ground in a puddle . Placed it back where we thought it should go nearby
Some logs signed as N2O.
This is my 11254find.
Thankyou earthly65 for placing and maintaining this cache

Last one for the day before heading into the club for a refreshing ale and the roast of the day. Found the log sheet and duly signed but no container? TFTC.
Mum and Dad - SJ AND AT found this on 22/11/2013 on their honeymoon before I was born. They took me back today so I could find it
I am slowly catching them for cache finds.

Just on a day trip to Woopi with ilook4geo and picking up a few of the local caches. This one was a nice easy find and was spotted as we neared GZ. Tweezers made getting the log out easier. Thank you to earthly65 for highlighting this Woopi feature.
Found the cache here easily with goingplaces2 and added both names to the log. Thanks for showing us Huey by placing this cache. TFTC.
We were on a walk / bike ride around Woolgoolga on Boxing day and grabbed a couple of a caches on the way.
This is a bit different to the standard big guns you generally see at RSLs. Very impressive.
After reading and inspecting the Huey we headed over to GZ and spotted the hide quickly due to the missing lid. The log was sitting on the ground so we signed and replaced it.
Thanks for the cache!

The container is lidless as others have observed but the “write in the wet” paper at least let us record our name so all is good. TFTC earthly65. Found 26/9/2022 10:15 am. Cache 1991 for us.

After staying in Coffs Harbour for a couple of days, thought I'd do a few detours off the main highway on my way home.
We used to holiday in Arrawarra and visit this lovely town & especially the club for meals so it was great to see all the changes that have taken place overtime in beautiful 'Wooli'.
Thanks earthly65 for the clever hide here, I was fortunate enough to spot it on approach mainly due to no lid on container. Loved Huey, it sure stands out in public

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. We are doing the Solitary Island Coast walk. It was nice to stop and complete this cache.
Found and logged. Sent pics to son who is currently based in Oakey with Aust choppers.
TFTC, I know the last 3 people who signed this log. I’m staying in Woopi for 3 nights. What a lovely little town. Looking forward to having some Indian good.
A quick find but the lid is still missing. I love the mural on the RSL.

We had a few hours to explore further north today, so we trig hopped up to Woolgoolga, grabbing GC caches and AL's as we went.
We didn't have plans to do many in Woolgoolga, as we were getting low on time, but we spotted the Huey, and had to stop. Samuel found the hide quickly. The container has perished, and the lid fell apart as it was opened. The log is in good condition at present, but the container is now lidless.... TFTC
(and - Hueys didn't see service in WW2, they were first produced in the 1950's, and didn't see active service until the Vietnam War)

Found today with my Dad while on a morning cache drive, we ended up finding 10 caches (5 AL locations and 5 physical caches) and had an amazing time exploring Moonee Beach, Emerald Beach and Woolgoolga...
After grabbing the nearby reservoir trig, we headed over to this one. Saw where this one was on the drive into Woolgoolga and we nabbed it on the way out. As I was walking to GZ I immediately saw it. The entire lid is gone and the log was wet, will need some owner attention soon...

What an amazing site to see a massive helicopter in the car-park of the RSL and just after 11 am on the 11th of Nov '21. Thank you for bringing us to this spot earthly65. Out caching with Joojoo57 for a few days escape from our LGA's
GPS was giving me grief here and jumping all over the place. After a little hunt cache was soon in hand! TFTC
We spent so much time admiring Huey that we nearly forgot there was a cache to find, soon got down to business and had made a quick find. Log is a little damp but still signable.
Thanks for the cache earthly65

Maintenance here today after "soggy log" log...it was very soggy...new rite in the rain log in place...happy caching!
Staying In Woolgoolga overnight gave us the opportunity to locate this cache opposite the motel, early in the morning.
Whilst Muggle Hubby admired Huey I was able to make a quick find.
Very soggy log, but a clever hide.
Thanks for bringing us here via geocaching.

Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!!
Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
Trust the Rat to turn this one up after everyone else had walked passed it
Thanks for the cache.

Last day of our Queensland roadtrip.Stayed overnight in Grafton at the showground attacked by millions of mozzies. Once on the way we made it good progress and were able to pick up quite a few caches and labs till we hit traffic in Sydney.

Last half day in Woolgoolga. A few caches and a couple of AdLabs to keep me going, until the camper is ready, and I head south once more.
We had looked for Huey last time we were in Woolgoolga, but he wasn't home.
Today it was a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.

Driven past many times so glad to get this one while it wasn’t too busy. Had trouble with coords. Very clever. Log is drenched. Tftc
Pleased to finally convert this blue frowny to a much prettier yellow smiley face today. I've known where it was for a while, last time it was missing and everything I've been past since gz was too busy. Tftc Earthly 65
Passed by here yesterday and the man-child exclaimed out loud "there's a helicopter" - passed by again on my constitutional today so stopped for the find. Cheers earthly65
This is why we love geocaching, what a great suprise.
Very freindly staff at office to.

On the way up the coast to QLD. We stopped for this one and it was a quick find. Tftc
Apologies everyone...cache was missing...larger cache in place now...same spot...happy caching
Very disappointed that this one eluded us. Will have another go when we are in the area again . Thanks earthly65
Damn dnf here again today, think I found the right hidey hole bit no one in residence . Or I wasn't in the right spot.
Thanks earthly65 for the cache. It’s #1247 for us. We found your cache on 21 February 2020. OMG - so tiny!! Took a long time to spot and I was hanging around GZ for ages. Now, about that ant bite.
Staying in Grafton with daughter again and needed some relief from the rain. Decided to come down this way to pick up some new smileys and convert some sad faces. Nice haul for a few hours work. Stopped for lunch at the RSL and on the way home stopped and grabbed Huey.

After attending the event in Coffs the afternoon before we are spending the day caching both in and around the area as well as a bit further north. Found an interesting variety of caches and did have just a few DNFs. Thanks to all the COs for enhancing our visit to the area.
WOW - this was one very clever hide that DiamonJs was really pleased to find!!!

Well this was good timing...whilst out for an evening walk on the 5.1.20 I checked on this cache and found it to be MIA...replaced on evening walk on 6.1.20 at around 8pm..just before dark...cache logs say a find was made in the dark on 6.1.20...very timely cache maintenance
Got here in the dark with AWTYOW and Dwight shrute, was soon relieved to find we didn't have to go into the bush in the dark and that GZ was quiet.
something got our attention instantly but soon we were still scratching our heads.
Instinct never fails so back to the original place and bingo, there it was.
We love finding this especially as it had just about been a year between being found. log all signed.
I am logging after returning home from holidays and see the CO had said he has replaced but I do have photos of our signed log and of the geocache I'm happy to send through.
Great structure nearby as well. Fave point from me.

This was a satisfying find. We love a challenge and when we looked at the log history of this one we were convinced it's definitely here and it's just tricky. Pitman Clan, Dwight Shrute, Gabstar and I were out having a little holiday night caching adventure and when we saw this one, we looked at each other and nodded - challenge accepted.
We were the only car in the car park and as soon as we got out of the car we had managed to inadvertently attract the attention of a slightly inebriated bloke across the road at the motel who was dancing by himself (before waking straight into a pole). Eventually his fascination waned (at about the same time his smoke ran out) and we set to the task at hand.
Impressively it took Dwight Shrute under five minutes to find the likely hide however our first look left us disappointedly scratching our heads. It made so much sense but we saw no cache. Dwight Shrute replaced everything and took a few steps to think... This only resulted in her squealing and jumping up and down in pain as a large ant took a big bite of her toe. She ran off to the car to nurse it and we regrouped.
I turned to look at another similar spot and Pitman Clan and Gabstar decided to have a second look at Dwight Shrute's initial spot. She was thinking about something that was mentioned in another log entry and it paid off. There it was!
I'll admit we were very impressed with ourselves. There was definitely some high fiving and photos taken - after a year of eluding our fellow cachers we were pretty happy to have nailed this in under ten minutes. The log was signed with our initials (AWTYOW, DS, PC and G*) with a bright red pen. Hats off to the CO - this is definitely our fave find in quite a while and a favourite point is coming from me for sure! TFTC

Called in for a look for this elusive cache but there was a bit too much excitement close to GZ to bother trying, with a fire having just been extinguished on the premises! (see photo)
Getting a camper fitted in Woolgoolga, so Bettyboo3747 and I whiled away the time by doing a few caches, and having morning tea with some other cachers.
Still very smoky in the area , but a lovely day for caching.
Dropped in for a short while, but a bit busy here to spend much time.
Interesting information on the Huey though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Plenty of very tricky caches in the area, another one we had to let go after a couple of minutes searching.
Adding this one to our DNF list. No luck! We were staying in this area tonight but no luck for us today...
Finally found on our return trip with Genghicat. This was our third trip here and about 50th time looking there. Tricky one and something I used at secret Santa not too long ago.
Finally found it after a few visits after previously mistakenly put in that I had founded it
After three visits finally found this tiny tricky little cache. Thanks for hint from owner.
Deserves a favourite point from me.
