Definitely a delightful area. Everything is so lush and green at the moment. Followed the little trail in towards gz. Reckon it would be, nope, another one sitting on the ground. Would explain why it wasn't where i was expecting. Its back where i was expecting it, and was in good condition apart from it's temporary location. Thanks again.
A slower day today preparing for the trails tomorrow, we did some excellent caches today, 30 caches in 3 hours ,all fine finds, many thanx to all cache placers for the efforts put in, top stuff
Found at 4:05:00 PM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We started the Granite Belt Bike Trail this morning and soon realised that if we were going to have any chance of completing it in one day we would need a bit more horsepower so we swapped the bikes for the Geomobile.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.

Enjoying a beaut day in Stanthorpe & surrounds with our good mates DazRascal & Mvyrmnd.
Our goal today was to find as many types as we could & help us reach 4000 finds.
We enjoyed our drive along the back roads to find these caches, seeing some great countryside, beaut hides, lots of laughs and no DNFs.
Having a great time on this trail of caches [^]

When I first spied this series, I thought id walk or cycle it, turns out, its more of a driveable Trail...
Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.
Great Puzzles, Power Trails, landscapes, History, Apples!, and company. Politeness and respect by all
Many Personal records smashed this weekend First MEGA, Finds per day, Altitude, etc

Out and about for a days caching with Haveanez and Mvyrmnd picking up a couple series of caches during the Mega weekend.
The weather wasn't the best but we didn't let that deter us from getting out and enjoying the Stanthorpe and surrounding areas caches.
This little series of caches came recommended by many around the campsite at the Mega weekend.
With Haveanez needing a few more finds to log the Mega as a milestone we came down this way to find a few more of the smaller series of caches.
This would have to be the widest "bike trail" I would have ever seen
TNLN, Cheers.

After a rather eventful (read expensive, long and tiresome) trip down to the Mega, and spending yesterday and the morning trying to diagnose issues with the car, we decided we had better go find some caches.
Easy find, at 1520hrs. With all the cachers running around town, we decided to head out in a random direction to see what we could find. This is where our adventures took us.
Cheers

Arrived in Queensland early yesterday morning and headed straight out here to Stanthorpe. Oh so many caches and only such a short time for us to find as many as we can, whilst still taking time out to catch up and socialise with all the other geocachers who are in town for the big event. Headed down into NSW today , then crossed back over the border again into Queensland. No problems finding this one. Thanks again Rainforest Cookie

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day six was fairly gloomy and wet, but we started by heading up to the Bald Rock area, even though it turned out to be too wet to attempt the climb. Then it was back to the main road and trail caching for the rest of the way to Stanthorpe. Thanks.

Day 73 of my trip to Brisbane.
Today, we're heading home after a week in Stanthorpe. I'm packed, so are the GeoSchnauzers, so is the car. We're off. Before we leave the area, there's a string of Bike Trail caches that I wanted to do but didn't get to. So I'll do them now!!! Then, I'll use caches to break up the trip.
No 5 of 12 today. Thanks, Rainforest Cookie. Here it was on the ground again, as I note from previous logs. I've amended the supposed lurking point for the cache in the hope that it will stay put. Thanks for the series, have a favorite point to apply to the series.

Found this cache whilst out for the day with Captain Terror. He had already found these caches but was willing to take me around and grab the few I needed. Back to Stanthorpe to have a crack at the granite Belt Bike trail. Had a good look at Google before I went and I still made a fundamental blunder. Explained later. Arrived at GZ and a quick find. Cache in good condition. Have now seen two cars and two Bike riders. They are pedaling towards Stanthorpe. TFTC and Series Rainforest Cookie
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Out and about bright and early today, we decided to tackle this series. We had a great drive out on the road, travelling around this great part of Queensland. We found the cache nice and easily, signed the logbook, and returned it to its spot.

Out doing an early morning run on this series, this was next on my hit list.
I really should have trusted my GPSr for this one I thought it couldn't be where it was pointing.. but it was. And it was in good condition. TFTC Rainforest Cookie

Another delightful cache find and a very delightful chocolate in the favourites box. And for some reason there's never as many as the others . . . but who's counting!? TFTC Rainforest Cookie.
There's a nice variety of cache placements in this new series along the bike trail by Rainforest Cookie. Thanks for an interesting trail of caches! We are enjoying our sojourn today, and thanks for the memories too. NINOSL.
