Best thing that has happened for Geocaching in Busso ever. Unfortunately could not attend

Our first CITO event and only our 2nd event we have attended. Thanks for a fun time, our 3yr old kept asking when santa was coming.

Our first flash mob. Was fast but fun! Lots of rubbish from everyone, what a great effort.

Our last day in Busselton for the Big Event, we attended the CITO Event and found a few caches along the way with my family (jasenjanine) ... This event happens to be my 500th "official" logged find although I have found many more with Mum & Dad!

Attended my first CITO event with duncdonut73 and Fiona. It's not very often that one can say they had a fun weekend picking up as much rubbish as they could find. TFTE

Find #04 on Day 2 of the 'WA Goes BIG in 2013' event in Busselton!

Arrived at 11:25 with 'amryall' and was a little concerned that I did not have my bag of rubbish with me. Fortunately 'firnsy' turned up a few minutes later with both bags of rubbish the two of us (with 'Tanzanite') had collected throughout the previous day.

It was an achievement to accumulate so many bags of rubbish in a relatively short space of time (without actively searching for it) but I suspect there would be a lot more in some places around Perth...

After signing the attendance log, I joined the queue that was waiting to sign the log for the nearby Traditional cache ('Sliding Doors') before returning to the 'festivities'!

I had made a slight modification to my popular event name badge to give it more of a 'Christmassy' feel, but I'm still not sure I understand this 'Christmas in July' thing...!

In town for the big event, we could not resist doing a bit of cleaning up around the place to attend this one... We liked the idea of the Flash Mob event too... Busselton is a lovely tidy place & we are happy to contribute to that [^]

Day three of a four day escape down this way for the events. Headed off early this morning, aiming to pick up a few caches, then picking up breakfast at the renowned Dunsborough Bakery. Then went to the second part of the event for the windup. Grabbed a few more caches, picking up rubbish along the way, then donned our Chrissy hats and headed down to this flashmob event. So much fun had over the entire weekend. And such a pristine town it is now too. Thanks richlink and iluvtrekking

Another event bites the dust. I have to admit though that this one annoyed me in that we left the hotel far too late and allowed too little time for a cleanup. Even with that we found enough to load up both bags, and I really enjoyed the cleanup part. Surprising though how short a distance it takes to fill two bags. Richlink - we met ever so briefly so perhaps next time. Until then I'll (hopefully) continue to 'find' your hides.

Our first CITO! Unfortunately it was much easier to fill our bags than we thought it would be...so much rubbish to be found in just one parking bay. The really sad thing was that it had three bins it it so there was really no excuse.

Turned up with sugarygoodness. Busso is absolutely pristine now thanks to everyone's efforts. Hey council, geocachers do good, eh?

A great turn up with so many entering into the spirit of the July in Christmas theme. We ar always impressed with the enthusiasm of the children at these events. Great stuff mums & dads.

The final leg of WA goes big in 2013 and our first CITO event along with WAGB. This is also our 900 find/log so a milestone to go with it. Thanks both Richlink and Felix II and helpers for the weekend, a great learning curve for us.

I've never done a CITO before so I hung around to see what it was all about.

Our first CITO . Loved the concept. We always CITO while caching but this time made a big effort and got four bags full. Loved how so many cachers went to a lot of trouble to dress in theme. Thanks for organising.

This is the first cito cache i have done, it was a nice idea to tidy the place up, there were so many people here, i really enjoyed the day, thankyou!

I was trying very very hard to make it to this event, and soooo nearly made it. It would have been my first CITO event. Alas, I was stuck showing some friends around the touristy points of the cape, and couldn't get away...

Had a fantastic weekend meeting up with lots of fellow cachers and it was great to see everyone got their christmas hats out for christmas in july. This was also our first CITO event and im sure busselton is looking a lot cleaner after all the bags of rubbish that was collected. you did a great job this weekend Felixll and richlink organizing these events TFTC

Arrived a bit late due to other family commitments, but managed to partake in the phoot and the general discussions and goodbyes. Also discovered we had won a prize in the event raffle which was greatly appreciated.

MDV and I were the first to arrive (since we wanted a quick departure) which gave me an opportunity to meet a fellow swimmer based in Mandurah. We each brought an orange sack full of rubbish and were as jolly as we could muster following a few nights of limited sleep. Thanks for the event richlink.

Our 8,000th smiley!! It was great to see such a large turnout to the event hosted by us and iluvtrekking today. Lots of full Cito rubbish bags returned and some very inventive xmas adornments worn. Thank you to all who attended and special thanks to FelixII for organising the Busselton Event.

What a wonderful event - so many full CITO bags there cant be any litter left in Busselton!

A last chance for us to catch up with fellow geocachers and met a few we hadn't managed to met at the Busselton event but as is the case with Flash Mobs it was over too quickly and as fast as we all came we all departed again.

Went with freebkids and TomatoesRule after managing 5 CITO bags this morning. Were getting worried in case we had to deposit the 'Little tomato' somewhere so we could fit the bags in .

Yes I am one of the many who grabbed this one during the event weekend!

A very effective group of dedicated people helping to give caching a cleaner slate to have fun in!

Finally after all the little bits of CITO I've been doing for a few years, I manage to make it to my first CITO event and add a new cache type to my log list. We were eagle-eyed the whole weekend for this and with the Christmas theme, it was uncanny that we found a Santa sign in the bush. Spotted lots more rubbish at 110 km/h. TFTE!

How nice to be a participant in such a community spirited worldwide game. Everyone got into the Christmas spirit for this great event and everyone had certainly done their share in collecting rubbish. Another new type of cache on our geostats.

Thanks to the organizers for a chance to add another cache type and to get this much litter out of the bush and tracks.

After spending all of the previous day at the other event there had been very little caching and zero rubbish collecting, so I had gone out around midnight and walked a couple of Ks along caves road caching and expecting to be loaded up with trash, only to have a broken bucket and 1 beer can for my efforts. It was not until I turned in towards the beach for a couple of caches that I hit the trash jackpot, sheesh people are pigs

What a great event!! Great idea and great involvement by so many geocachers. The amount of rubbish removed from the streets, parks and byways of Busselton coud only impress. We would like to thank everyone who attended our CITO event, we were blown away by the sheer enthusiasm shown by everyone who attended. We were most impressed by your rubbish collecting skills and Christmas decoration techniques. Cheers and a big thank you.

Impressive stash of trash here ... hope the locals notice the difference we must have made.

At one part of a mini adventure that I was sharing with Geology Boy and Tanzanite on Saturday afternoon, we were walking down (I think) Kent Street. We stopped to pick up some rubbish to put into our bag and a passing motorist called out "Thank you" .

Nice to get that acknowledgement ... but, in truth, collecting rubbish just added to the fun that we were having on our mini adventure. I'm sure that Geology Boy and Tanzanite would agree with that.

Excuse the late logging. As we are here in Busso we had best attend.
We have got our bright red/orange bag but with todays activities at the main event who knows how much caching we will see... we can but try.

Another fly in the ointment is we have left all our xmas goodies back in Perth by accident so we will have to be Sans Tinsel sorry!
