I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi davesnz

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Had look then checked logs and saw it hadn't been found for a while so we didn't continue - lots of muggles around too.

02-Jan-20
Tried for a long time with my grandfather and visiting cousin but no luck

03-Dec-19
Had a look for this one but couldn't find it

14-Nov-19
Down in Gizzy for ccrichie jnr to compete in a school surf event. After she finished and as she was getting an unexpected training session in with her billet, I took the opportunity to have a go at this. As previous cacher said coords were putting me to the left of the clue. I had a good look around the plants but to no avail... Might just be awesome camo... I couldn't rummage to thoroughly as swimming parents were trailing in and out at regular intervals. I'll be back next year!

We located seven caches in the Gisborne area today during our Labour Weekend stayover. However this wasn’t one of them! Spent 15 to 20 minutes hunting for this and upturning every possible object that might be hiding the cache or actually be the cache! The coords on both my iPhone and the Garmin seemed to have us a few metres from the agapanthus. Whatever the case, we covered quite a bit of ground in our search. Maybe it’s there somewhere, but it certainly eluded us today!

15-Sep-19
In Gisborne for the National Daffodil Show so took a break to look for a few caches and after a couple of DNF’s we started on this one. Trying to interpret the hint, we looked and found some items that seemed to fit and I had just said “ seems like a good place to use a .......” and there it was! TFTC and a clever hint.

13-Sep-19
Last time we were in Gisborne we could not find this cache, but seeing there have been recent finds we stopped for another look. Took a bit of searching for but the container was finally located. Thanks.

10-Aug-19
Thanks to the hint it's only took a few minutes of searching before I had this one in hand.

For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 2 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two moreWinkRazz. Today I decided to go a drive around Gisborne.

Noirmally I don't like Aggis very much from past experiences but this one wasn't too bad.

Cheers for the cache.

#6504. On a holiday to east coast with my two girls trying to enjoy as much of the summer heatwave as we can before school starts again. Heading to Tolaga Bay for the night but a short stop in Gisborne after a lovely day out at Rere Falls. The girls headed down to the beach. I drove up the road but the road was closed. Huge surf carnival going on today. So drove around the detour and parked some distance away. Walked back to this one. Muggles everywhere but none at GZ. A quick feel around and soon felt a familiar shape. Yes the cache. The logbook looked a bit scrunched and damp. So added a fresh sheet of waterproof paper to the plastic bag. Signed and returned the cache where found. Thanks davesnz for the cache. Stunning warm day up here in Gisborne. Time to go and find the girls.

23-Mar-18
Decided that since I had an extra day off work I would come up to Gisborne and visit family as I was in the Hawkes Bay for work and it wasnt too far to travel the extra distance and it also gave me the chance to pick up a few caches in this lovely community.

After finding GC6AVH2 - Waipaoa River Calls (Gisborne), I decided that I would head back towards the CBD and see if I ould find a few more caches before it got too late. I remember when this complex first openned back in the days when I was still at school in Gisborne.

As I arrived near GZ, I was able to find a parking spot in front of the pool complex next to a few other cars, I had a quick look around and noticed that there was a muggle and his daughter within a few metres of GZ, I decided that I would go and check it out as the muggles were not paying any attention as to what I was doing.

Arrived at GZ to find the area has now being cleared off the hint object and there wasnt anything to be found, so decided that it was time to move on.

11-Mar-18
Did not find, check all obvious hiding places, clue needs the be more specific.

04-Mar-18
No luck today. All the likely nooks and crannies turned up nothing.

17-Feb-18
Quiet evening in the area. Thank you for replacement. I am in Gisborne on the trip from Wellington to Auckland. Staying here for a night. Nice place

16-Feb-18
Too many muggles to find today

10-Feb-18
Decided to put a replacement cache after having no reply from CO. Cache is in the same place we previously found it so same hint applies. High muggle area during the day so take care.

21-Jul-17
Didn't find it either. Looks like a hard place to hide something and so much foot traffic kids loitering right next to it.

17-Jun-17
Yeeeeeah, since no one found this one in the last 8 months, I'm pretty sure it's a goner.

The travelling fox is sad =u,u=

25-Apr-16
Having attended ANZAC dawn parade and checked out of our motel we decided a cache was in order. As this was just down the road from our motel we attempted this. Mr NZT made an initial flounder of finding this but after reading other logs soon had the cache in hand.

Log signed in the car and returned.

16-Apr-16
After rummaging around in the Aggies we found it!

06-Mar-16
After a bike ride to Wainui this morning, we returned to our accommodation for a coffee and a leisurely lunch before heading out again for some more exploration of Gisborne, and to find some more caches, of course. The CANZ Gisborne cache was on the must find list for today as we have the info from all the other North Island caches in the series (apart from the semi final).
I wanted to see the cruiser ship, so we drove here to have a loo (and find a cache!). It was muggle central, with a guy waiting in a car with a view of GZ, so we went over the road to look at the ship then on our return, noted that the guy was busy getting his passenger and luggage sorted so we snuck in for the find. Had to look twice to find the cache even though I was pretty sure what I was looking for.
A popular place on Sunday afternoon. TFTC.

06-Mar-16
#11995. It certainly was muggle central today. Too muggly when we arrived, but after having a look at the cruise ship muggle conditions were more favourable, and Troodles spotted what she was looking for. TFTC.

Hoped to have a wee look before eating in the restaurant across the way but as the place was seething with muggles we decided to leave it till later. Returned in the twilight with full bellies and after a quick rummage in the aggis it was as we say in the UK ..............."Rock on Tommy".
Many thanks for the cache and greetings from Scotland.

16-Dec-15
On holiday from the UK and touring New Zealand for 30 days in a campervan. Sadly this is a DNF, as we couldn't really search as someone was working near GZ. Never mind it lead us to the wonderful restaurant opposite where we had a fantastic meal later in the day. TFTC

21-Nov-15
Such a beautiful morning to be out and about. A nice quick find once we decided the hint. TFTC Smile

21-Oct-15
Lots of muggles, so we really didn't look very carefully.

13-Oct-15
HockeyHiker19 and I were on day 4 of our geocaching honeymoon in New Zealand. This one fooled us for quite a while. Long enough for HockeyHiker19 to give up and head to the beach. I continued searching and made the find before she was done walking across the parking lot. She was making a lot of the finds on this day so it felt good to be the one to find it.

13-Oct-15
Greetings from West Sacramento, California! Papa EGTH and I are spending our honeymoon in this beautiful country for 19 days. Today was Day 4 of our trip and our route was from Rotorua to Napier via Whakatane and Gisborne. We found 18 caches and had 2 DNFs.

We stopped for this cache while on our way out of town after a late lunch. After using the hint and not finding the cache, I gave up and went over to explore the beach a bit. I was extremely dismayed to see how much trash was washed up. Such a shame! I saw Papa EGTH waiting for me, so when I got back to the car, he said that he had found this cache. Yay! Thanks!

28-Sep-15
The clue is spot on ! Had to be inconspicuous as this is a high muggle area , hardly anyone around at the time we did this cache. tftc Smile
