There is only traffic when you need to pull over, sussing how much room there is and does it fall away. Thanks for the placement Gracie7 +mum
According to the cache page I DNF'd this one back in 2018 but I have no memory of the location. That doesnt matter it was here this time. Thanks gracie7 + Mum

We stopped here on the way to ChCh for a maintenance daytrip to add a bag.
Everything is all good here. Happy Caching

Found it! Had to stop for the bridge named after everyones favourite McElroy brother. The cache here had no bag, just a log in the container. TFTC!
Power trail in car always feels like a cheat. But a cache is a cache. Pleased most were on the same side of the road as I parked. Just give those trucks a wide berth.
After a week in Christchurch catching up with our kids for Christmas, today it was time to start to head for home. I decided to take the long way home and find a few caches along the way. Heading west over Arthur's Pass to end up in Kumara for the night. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.
#10,048. Day 2 of the extended Labour Weekend geocaching road trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret yesterday with a target list of geotour caches, adventure labs, puzzle finals, a few virtuals and a hike to get the DGSC final. We can't resist stopping to pick up a few traditionals on the way to boost the overall numbers.
Heading now towards Kumara but decided to stop and pick up some traditional caches along the road. Another quick find here in this scenic location. Signed the logbook, and replaced the cache where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here. There are certainly a lot of streams, rivers and bridges along this road.

Another one of the ones that GSEL (who is more organised with lists on his GPS than I am on my phone) had noted as found but I forgot.
This is a fabulous road to drive, and many thanks for placing this series of Caches to encourage us to stop and stretch our legs (even if only for 10-15m at time), and take in the scenery. TFTC.

Heading back towards Karamea along SH 73. Finding what I can along the way. Crossing a number of bridges as I come to them. TFTC
Our mission should we choose to accept it was to find some of the BtG series. Yes we will try and are happy to sign this one. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
We couldn't stop at Taipo as the bridge ws being repaired and there were traffic lights. Luckily we were the last in the group and so could stop here without having to worry about other vehicles behind us.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Time to head home after an awesome weekend caching around the hokitika area.
Early start on a mission to get as many between hokitika and Arthur's pass.
White truck and hi viz jacket perfect camo for these caches

After a quick visit to Greymouth with Nosynel and Ethness it is time to go home. My plan is to get the BtG series completed with a few others. Please excuse the boring repetitive logs! Thanks for the cache, CO.

Today we were doing a day trip to just beyond Springfield for a random maintenance check day on ALL of our caches along this route to finish our planned day from last weekend that was postponed due to torrential weather that hit most of the country.
Due to the easy PnG nature of the BtGs series and copy/paste logs we receive we often arnt notified of any maintenance that may need doing. Most of these BtGs we havent visited in 6years so a maintenance check day was created (but in the end not needed)
The log here was nice and dry as is was replaced not that long ago but all BtGs received a new logbook today.
All good here. Happy Caching

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

We are sitting on MissAllysa during the last week of the School Holidays so we are taking her over to ChCh for a couple of days and stopping to do maintenance along the way. Allysa recently got her own account so was happy to sign the log at each stop even if she wasnt allowed out of the car next to the busy road. Due to the last log being a DNF and the easy nature of all of the hides in this series we expected this one to be missing but it was exactly where its suppose to be and in great shape. All good here. Happy Caching
Nana and Aunty Grace are taking me to Christchurch and we are finding some caches on the way. Aunty Grace passed the logbook to me through the window so I could sign my own name. We didnt have Jaxson so I only signed lma.
First bridge find of the day. Easy park with little traffic around today. I can't rememebr but this one might have had a wet log. TFTC
I decided to do something that I love doing, that is, caching, on Valentines Day incorporating a bit of a drive as well.
I will be seeing a lot of bridges up close doing this series.
Cheers for the cache.

Supporting my friend and his daughter as they spent a few days completing the Coast to Coast course. Took the opportunity over the first couple of days to complete 35 geocaches with the youngest daughter as my navigator.
Great weather over the couple of days geocaching. Apologies for the cut n paste logs.
We enjoyed the BtG series (having already grabbed a few when I supported my friends last year).

We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Greetings from Australia, We are finally managing to catch up on some logs, found as we continued our trip, log retrieved signed and replaced as found, thanks for the cache and the fun
Quick find on 16th March whilst on route to Arthurs Pass, a lovely sunny day, blue skies and gorgeous views tftc
A quick find on the way over to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass, Thanks for the whole series.
Bee hives and signs about strong poisons in the same area. Who dare to eat that honey?!
**Thanks** for the cache!

*Finally vacation and time for the trip 'down under' to Australia and New Zealand via China. We’re expecting to see a lot of different animals and flowers and also hope to find nice caches and meet other geocachers during our journey.*

Found on a rainy day but enjoying the caches and there are those runners again
I was fortunate enough to be able to squeeze an 11 day holiday out of two leave days!! I headed out west to find some caches, see some sights, and relax before the madness of the semester hits. The weather was unbelievably good, only a bit of a storm over Arthur's Pass on the first day, otherwise hot and sunny. I found a great variety of caches, drive by's, walks, hikes, even a power trail. Last day of my adventure, time to go home sadly... Thank you to all the CO's for their great hides!!!
We are driving from Greymouth to Arthurs pass today and have found a lot of caches so please excuse the cut and paste logs, I normally prefer not to use them. After more than a month of experiencing the laid back NZ lifestyle we are finding much of the traffic on this road today to be in a huge rush which has made some of our stops a bit difficult, but we survived!
We enjoyed the bridge series and found all we went for. Where the log and bag were stowed separately we put them back together. Thanks for placing this series, it kept us amused on the journey

Caching our way over to Greymouth and back during the long weekend, the aim being to complete a GIC licence and also grab more BtG caches. I think the final tally will be north of 200 for the weekend. Stunning day for a road trip.

Found this with Tomboy 711 whilst travelling around your beautiful country en route to the New Zealand Mega...
A beautiful day to be out and about in this beautiful area as we grabbed some smilies... I apologize for the generic logs - It no way detracts from my enjoyment and the efforts gone to by the CO's...
A short search, found the cache, stamped and returned...
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for my enjoyment gracie7 + Mum...

This is the fourth day of my fifteen day trip to go to the Christchurch Mega. I had planned to get this one on the trip up, but had to wait for the rain to stop, so I got it on the way down. TFTC.
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for making my trip around fun!

After an awesome week down the west cost it's time to start heading home. With a slip on the road ahead it gave us plenty of time to do some cashing. Tftc
Today is day three of NZDi's and my Blenheim - Christchurch - Greymouth - Blenheim triangular caching trip and while yesterday was all about quality caches, today is about numbers. Today we did our biggest day ever, 50 caches. Most of todays caches were pretty generic but there were a coupe of gems. Our logs were annotated Kiwimykl and NZDi, KM & ND or variations there of.

Today's trip was from Christchurch to Greymouth (one way)... planned it the morning of and making it up as I go along. Set off at about 6am, as my bad luck would have it, last night was one of the coldest nights in years for most parts of the country, so no surprise there was black ice throughout central Christchurch. Wasn't too bad the rest of the way however, I stopped in Darfield for a while to wait for the sun to come up - hard snow on the ground from here onwards. The contractors had done a great job keeping the highway passable. Arrived in Greymouth at about 5pm. TFTC (2107)
Quick stop on the drive from the West Coast to Mt Cook---thanks for helping break up the drive.
6749. On our way over to the Wet Coast for a week at Kumara. This was our thirty second find of thirty four cache finds on our journey. Another good safe place to park and another good cache find! Loving this series. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Out on an Easter Cache hunt where it was all about the numbers.
Day 1. Know how to hold em complete. Now time for some park & grab Trads and Bridges on the way to Arthurs Pass.

On an epic caching mission with Shannonp1 through Reefton to Greymouth over the Lewis Pass, cacheing in Greymouth then returning to Rangiora via Arthurs Pass over two days. Final count for the weekend was over 200 caches. Quick easy find on our way past.
On an epic caching mission with Surveybase to North canterbury, Waipara, Culverdon, Springs Junction, Reefton, Greymouth, Arthurs Pass and back to Rangiora over two days. Final count for the weekend was Saturday 124 caches, Sunday 80 caches. not a bad weekends work. sorry for the cut and paste but it would take forever to log them all.
Continuing our way from ChCh to Greymouth grabbing the BtG caches. No problem with this one. TFTC
We thought about doing some of the BtG-caches we passed by when going up to Arthurs Pass, when returning down direction to Hokitika.
Well, we started "somewhere" and had fun with the numbers and spontaneously continued then. As most of the stops were easy and combined with nice photo oportunities today (as the weather graduously turned better). Finally we did quite a lot, but of course by far not all of them during this unplanned run.
#14: One of the last few bridges before turning to the rewarding "Old Christchurch Road".

Heading home after a caching adventure on the coast with Nosynel and my little geodoggies. Has been a great few days. Cheers for all stops with the bonus of a caches.
One of many bridge and roadside finds on the way back to Christchurch. Thanks for all the hides. It has made the trip extra special.
Hard to keep up with the rest of the crew as we dash from car, to bridge and to log signing and back again.
A Boxing Day drive was on the cards so naturally that included some geocaches. We started with the scenic route since we were staying in the area anyway, then headed out to the Otira Highway to complete the loop back to base. A very enjoyable round trip. Thank you gracie7 + Mum.
No problems here. The worst of the rain seems over. Easy find. Thank you Gracie7 and Mum for placing this cache.
Short stop at our journey to the Arthur Pass. Due to it was raining like cats and dogs we were not able to start a walk at the pass, so we decide to "waste" the time to find all the caches a long the road. Normally we dont like to collect such a powertrail of caches, but it was better to stay at the pass in the rain. Thanks a lot for the cache.
Next one of the Powertrail. Only a short stop for us on our way to Arthurs Pass.
#8323. We'd done so many BtG caches; I'm having trouble remembering some of them. TFTC.
One of 58 caches found on a trip from Rangiora to Greymouth. A day which started off with fine weather in Canterbury, turned to drizzle at Arthurs Pass, then mainly fine from Kumara to Greymouth. We arrived at our destination after 6:30pm, tired but happy with our day especially as it ended with a FTF in Greymouth , a rare occurrence these days .
A few DNFs towards the end of the day, but with energies flagging by then, we weren't prepared to spend long searching. We were glad of the mainly easy, mainly drive-bys of the BtG series in the damper weather. Thanks to all the COs for their hides and for making our journey so enjoyable (and long!).
Interesting scenery here. TFTC.
