A late evening drive collecting two multi dot days, and a couple trads given the roads are a bit quieter. Not a bad way to spend a few hours.Nice to get a couple more of the BtG series with not many vehicles around at this time of night. TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 5 today, making this find #4810

It was beautiful sunny weather and I really enjoyed the trip with views, caches and a few walks. I was also very amused by the Kea parrots, which take care of the entertainment of tourists in Arthurs Pass at the caf. I found a total of 40 caches and in the evening I arrived in Christchurch, from where I am leaving tomorrow for the North Island. Thanks to everyone for the caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
I love how the gorges get narrower and narrower as we move west. The river is roaring after all the rain! Simply Wow! Found on our second visit with Piwaka54
A Canterbury maintenance check day to Springfield was planned but we only made it as far as Lake Pearson today. This was our tenth stop of the day. All we had to do here was add a bag to the logbook. Happy Caching
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. Appreciate these fun hides on bridges. Found the cache, added our ink to the log, and placed the container back as found. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
A nice quick find here on our way home from the West Coast. This cache was a quick find. TFTC.
I was up and away early this morning making my way to Lake Brunner. The roads are blissfully quiet early in the moring so having to frequently pull over wasn't a problem. After fueling up and having a refreshment stop it was time to head back the way I'd come. A quick stop here. TFTC

When Albi mentioned about his work commitments at Fox Glacier, as always we decided to make a trip out of it, but this time its a long over due overnight one. Spending quality time together, enjoying the drive, picking up some caches, small walks, and also cherry on top, a Heli ride woo-hoo.
Easy straightforward find here. TFTC.

Now coming to our last group before heading home with an ice cream from shop at Arthurs Pass as a reward lol. Thanks for this cache gracie7 + Mum.
Another quick find on my way home and traffic not too bad today compared to last week
My last day on the West Coast and before I travelled back over Arthurs Pass I decided to spend the morning grabbing a few caches.
A good series of caches to find on the way home, happy plenty of safe parking for my car

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

I have been enjoying this BTG series and so many different bridges. Such a lot of work has gone into placing and maintaining them. TFTH
Out on a Boys Big Day of Arthurs Pass caching with Tufty. Stopped by to sign this one off as we made our way back to Arthurs Pass. TFTC.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Day 4 of our West Coast road trip and time to head back to Christchurch. Stopped to collect these park and grabs whenever we could safely pull over - had to miss a few as too many cars behind us. TFTC
Despite of the rain we stopped for this little container. Biwer original sends Greetings from Germany and thanks for the Cache.
After a quick visit to Greymouth with Nosynel and Ethness it is time to go home. My plan is to get the BtG series completed with a few others. Please excuse the boring repetitive logs! Thanks for the cache, CO.

Today we were doing a day trip to just beyond Springfield for a random maintenance check day on ALL of our caches along this route to finish our planned day from last weekend that was postponed due to torrential weather that hit most of the country. Due to the easy PnG nature of the BtGs series and copy/paste logs we receive we often arnt notified of any maintenance that may need doing. Most of these BtGs we havent needed to visit since they were published 6years ago so a maintenance check day was created (but in the end not needed)
The log here was nice and dry and we were pleasantly surprised to actually find our original container.
All BtGs received a new logbook today. All good here. Happy Caching

Tftc. My gf is going to start collecting garbage at these cache sites while I search. Cool huh. Found this one blind, no GPS to get app data, easy find in logical place by feel.
Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Nice quick find here but there is a roadworks sign as well so I'm wondering if that will adversely affect me finding the next cache or two. Time will tell. TFTC # 13,836
Out and about over the Easter weekend grabbing some caches as I head to Christchurch via the west coast. Thank you for placing all these wonderful caches out for me to find. Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
Since it was such a lovely day driving over the pass I decided to make a few stops including this cache. Thanks for making the journey more fun.
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were commited to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
One of many bridge caches found today. Most were found very quickly. Thanks gracie7 + Mum

I decided to do something that I love doing, that is, caching, on Valentines Day incorporating a bit of a drive as well.
I will be seeing a lot of bridges up close doing this series.
Cheers for the cache.

Supporting my friend and his daughter as they spent a few days completing the Coast to Coast course. Took the opportunity over the first couple of days to complete 35 geocaches with the youngest daughter as my navigator.
Great weather over the couple of days geocaching. Apologies for the cut n paste logs.
We enjoyed the BtG series (having already grabbed a few when I supported my friends last year).

We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 17. TFTC, Biggles.
Its a 3 week expedition, with The Seagnoid and Zara, round the South Island. Rakiura Walkway, my objective, is bagged, so its homeward bound the long way round. Its day 21 of our epic journey - Hokitika to Christchurch today.
Snagged and tagged and on our way again. Hopping along this highway. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 21: Hokitika to Christchurch.
A quick find on the way over to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass, Thanks for the whole series.
Staying in castle hill for the weekend and exploring the Arthurs pass area today

TFTC. Had the opportunity to bring a Coast to Coast participant over the pass for a training run.
What to do with the 4 hours between drop off and pickup?
Look closely at a few bridges between here and there!!
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the cool series.

One of 25 caches located today on trip from Christchurch to Greymouth via Arthurs Pass. Light/medium rain most of day but still enjoyed the scenery and a leisurely drive. #1232. TFTC.
We are driving from Greymouth to Arthurs pass today and have found a lot of caches so please excuse the cut and paste logs, I normally prefer not to use them. After more than a month of experiencing the laid back NZ lifestyle we are finding much of the traffic on this road today to be in a huge rush which has made some of our stops a bit difficult, but we survived!
We enjoyed the bridge series and found all we went for. Where the log and bag were stowed separately we put them back together. Thanks for placing this series, it kept us amused on the journey

We are taking a 3 week vacation from the UK to tour around New Zealand. Arrived in Christchurch from Wellington this morning. Collected the car and started the drive to Greymouth via Porters Pass, Arthur's Pass and then the scenic route passing by Lake Brunner. We stopped and picked up many a drive by cache on our way without any problems. Thanks for everyone's hard work setting up and maintaining these caches.

A beautiful day to be out and about in this beautiful area as we grabbed some smilies... I apologize for the generic logs - It no way detracts from my enjoyment and the efforts gone to by the CO's...
A short search, found the cache, stamped and returned...

Today is day three of NZDi's and my Blenheim - Christchurch - Greymouth - Blenheim triangular caching trip and while yesterday was all about quality caches, today is about numbers. Today we did our biggest day ever, 50 caches. Most of todays caches were pretty generic but there were a coupe of gems. Our logs were annotated Kiwimykl and NZDi, KM & ND or variations there of.
Today's trip was from Christchurch to Greymouth (one way)... planned it the morning of and making it up as I go along. Set off at about 6am, as my bad luck would have it, last night was one of the coldest nights in years for most parts of the country, so no surprise there was black ice throughout central Christchurch. Wasn't too bad the rest of the way however, I stopped in Darfield for a while to wait for the sun to come up - hard snow on the ground from here onwards. The contractors had done a great job keeping the highway passable. Arrived in Greymouth at about 5pm. TFTC (2094)
Searched without GPS - why do you always start on the wrong side? Quick find, TFTC
6886. On our way home to Christchurch from Kumara. We did twelve caches on the way back that we hadn't managed to fit in on the way over. This was the fourth one. We managed to stop this time. Plenty of traffic on the road today - and snow down to the roadside. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Out on an Easter Cache hunt where it was all about the numbers.
Day 1. Know how to hold em complete. Now time for some park & grab Trads and Bridges on the way to Arthurs Pass.

On the way to visit grandsons and thought I would get a few more as there seems to be a friendly war with our cousins with geocaching. I done some of the BtG caches a couple of day earlier and enjoyed. Thank you gracie7 + Mum for all of your caches. TFTC
On an epic caching mission with Shannonp1 through Reefton to Greymouth over the Lewis Pass, cacheing in Greymouth then returning to Rangiora via Arthurs Pass over two days. Final count for the weekend was over 200 caches. Quick easy find on our way past.
On an epic caching mission with Surveybase to North canterbury, Waipara, Culverdon, Springs Junction, Reefton, Greymouth, Arthurs Pass and back to Rangiora over two days. Final count for the weekend was Saturday 124 caches, Sunday 80 caches. not a bad weekends work. sorry for the cut and paste but it would take forever to log them all.
What to do at a rainy day like today? Searching and of course finding some caches along the road. The BtG series, where we found the first yesterday, was exactly what we need. Very nice to have the chance for parking the 8-meter-van near the most caches. Sorry for the copy and paste! Thank you very much for hiding and greetings from Dresden, Germany!
Found it during my trip from south of South Island to north of South Island.
Thanks for this cache!:)

Continuing our way from ChCh to Greymouth grabbing the BtG caches. No problem with this one. TFTC
How is it I always seem to park at the wrong end of the bridge and then start on the wrong side.
We thought about doing some of the BtG-caches we passed by when going up to Arthurs Pass, when returning down direction to Hokitika.
Well, we started "somewhere" and had fun with the numbers and spontaneously continued then. As most of the stops were easy and combined with nice photo oportunities today (as the weather graduously turned better). Finally we did quite a lot, but of course by far not all of them during this unplanned run.
#6: This one and the previous one have been so close together that we decided to split up and re-unite after finding and logging as we did not expect difficulties (and there were none). This was done by R.

A road trip with my Muggle mother now not so much a muggle, my daughter and son (both who go geocaching with me every now and then). Getting these caches was good, quick and easy nice to log, these caches were cracking my son up as he took a while to find them as he thought it was a bolt. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for these caches.
A quick find at one of many bridges we have driven over since leaving the West Coast. TFTC
Still the bridges come and still we manage to knock off the caches.Towering mountains dominate the scene here.

Weekend caching towards the coast. What better way than to do it with my buddy and my wee doggie buddies, and caches too. Thanks for all the breaks and caches.
Short stop at our journey to the Arthur Pass. Due to it was raining like cats and dogs we were not able to start a walk at the pass, so we decide to "waste" the time to find all the caches a long the road. Normally we dont like to collect such a powertrail of caches, but it was better to stay at the pass in the rain. Thanks a lot for the cache.
Found this Cache together with SL_Wayne on our great holidays here in New Zealand.
Quick find!
Thank you so much for the Cache!!

One of 58 caches found on a trip from Rangiora to Greymouth. A day which started off with fine weather in Canterbury, turned to drizzle at Arthurs Pass, then mainly fine from Kumara to Greymouth. We arrived at our destination after 6:30pm, tired but happy with our day especially as it ended with a FTF in Greymouth , a rare occurrence these days .
A few DNFs towards the end of the day, but with energies flagging by then, we weren't prepared to spend long searching. We were glad of the mainly easy, mainly drive-bys of the BtG series in the damper weather. Thanks to all the COs for their hides and for making our journey so enjoyable (and long!).
Yes, a big slip indeed. TFTC.
