Maybe it was due to your alternate purpose for the pollywaffle - but the flies here were THICK. I HATE flies. Eeew. Found the cache, signed and was trying desperately to calm myself while trying to replace the cache, damn the log doesn't fit! ARGH flies!!! Breathe (but not with an open mouth). Eventually log was in the container and back where i found it. Let's get out of here!!! Thanks, i think...
A slower day today preparing for the trails tomorrow, we did some excellent caches today, 30 caches in 3 hours ,all fine finds, many thanx to all cache placers for the efforts put in, top stuff
Found at 3:20:00 PM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We started the Granite Belt Bike Trail this morning and soon realised that if we were going to have any chance of completing it in one day we would need a bit more horsepower so we swapped the bikes for the Geomobile.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
What a great region this is! We have spent the last few days enjoying the scenery, the attractions, and also the caches.
Thank you to the COs of all of these caches for their diligence and thoughtfulness in giving visitors to this region a vast number of little (and not so little) gems to discover and the opportunity to see so much countryside which quite possibly could never have been seen except to a very select number of passers-by.
We have had a great time – thank you!

A quick trip to Stanthorpe for the traditional but a little early Xmas in July event for 2015. I took the opportunity to tackle the caches along the once was Mt Lindsay Highway but is now Mt Lindsay Road.
I had travelled the dirt section while at the mega to get to Bald Rock but that was just about sight-seeing. Today was different. I saw the sunrise at Amberley, bypassed the traffic jam at Aratula and made a beeline for Liston and the nearby Undercliife Falls. I headed south to Tenterfield and tackled everything along the way, before heading north to Robins Nest and the event and the overnight stay.
Thanks for placing this cache Rainforest Cookie

When I first spied this series, I thought id walk or cycle it, turns out, its more of a driveable Trail...
Visiting QLD from Central Coast NSW, and attending the Stanthorpe MEGA EVENT for about a week. Camping at the showground, caching days done mainly with SpikeyMikey, meeting up with members of CCG, HAVOC, and others from all over Australia.
Many thanks to all responsible for a smooth operating event, my first Mega, and first visit to Stanthorpe. Plenty of reasons for a near future visit
Whilest it did rain and drizzle almost every day, I much preferred this over hot days, which is what I encounted on the Gold Coast return journey, as well as a repeated bout of coughing with the flu on the long drive home.
Great Puzzles, Power Trails, landscapes, History, Apples!, and company. Politeness and respect by all
Many Personal records smashed this weekend First MEGA, Finds per day, Altitude, etc

Bit of a sad day today, being the last day of the Queensland 2015 Mega Event. Many cachers are already packing up and heading home. Not us though - we have another day to fill in, hoping to find as many of the unfound caches around the Stanthorpe area as we can. Couldn't leave this one behind. Thanks for the smiley Rainforest Cookie
Zipped south from Stanthorpe to find a few caches before heading up to Warwick for the night. Thanks for the cache.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Enjoying a beaut day in Stanthorpe & surrounds with our good mates DazRascal & Mvyrmnd.
Our goal today was to find as many types as we could & help us reach 4000 finds.
We enjoyed our drive along the back roads to find these caches, seeing some great countryside, beaut hides, lots of laughs and no DNFs.
Hmm, not a fan of Pollywaffles, do they still make them??
Cheers.

Was a fan of the polly waffle back in its day, seemed to be the perfect ratio of marshmallow , chocolate and wafer, and was a bit disappointed when Nestlè pulled the pin on its production back in 2009.
Found the container in the hands of another cacher when we arrived, log signed it was off to find some more name sakes of misspent childhood pocket money treasures.
TFTC, Cheers.

After a rather eventful (read expensive, long and tiresome) trip down to the Mega, and spending yesterday and the morning trying to diagnose issues with the car, we decided we had better go find some caches.
Easy find, at 1440hrs. With all the cachers running around town, we decided to head out in a random direction to see what we could find. This is where our adventures took us.
Cheers

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day six was fairly gloomy and wet, but we started by heading up to the Bald Rock area, even though it turned out to be too wet to attempt the climb. Then it was back to the main road and trail caching for the rest of the way to Stanthorpe. Thanks.

My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 7, Tenterfield to Stanthorpe.
Today will be a short driving day, so I'm hoping for plenty of sightseeing and caching. It's going to be another hot day, I think. My back seems better today. Perhaps it's something to do with the exercises I'm doing three times a day instead of twice? Maybe I'm just lucky?
No 15 of 22 today. Thanks, Rainforest Cookie. I don't remember pollywaffles, but I can now imagine what they look like. I'll really have to come back with the bike one day, and leave my sore back at home.
