Well - this cache was disappointing. Of course I made the wrong decision to get to the cache via farmer Bob's farm. Luckily, I didn't go too far in before deciding it was private property . Turned around and headed back to the beach and walked from there. Enjoyed the 2km+ walk one way, no problem. Many interesting things to see along the way. Climbed the dune to the cache, no problem. Finding the cache, big problem. Getting cuts and scratches from various overgrown shrubbery and trees, big problem. Feeling as though I am harming coastal vegetation by not quickly finding the cache, big problem. Walked the 2km+ back to the car, defeated, no problem.*Given when it was found last, maybe the CO might like to check on this one. Thanks anyway UdderChaos.
It was a pleasure to sail the high seas at low tide with H423L.
As she says - check, check and check. And off we went, from kinda north to the south. There was smooth sailing apart from the odd bit of sea weed. No waves. Maybe a little Sou'wester.
An ammo can in the bush - my fav. Pic attached.
Thanks to UdderChaos and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Low tides checked. Check. Beach access found. Check. 4WD. Check. A fun journey along the beach to grab this cache today. The beach was hard enough that we didn’t get shipwrecked ourselves. TFTC
Read Sir_Spectre’s log and decided to do the same drive as it was getting towards low tide. A nice easy drive down the beach and a quick find at GZ. There was an echidna one the dunes too.
Thanks for the cache UdderChaos.

The great Geoventure 2020 tour....take 2...which is of course now in 2021 Once again it myself and AnyMules doing things that not many sane people would attempt. [:o)]
Day 10: Woo Hoo another sunny day so it was off into the forests following the unfound boxes. Some rather fantastic locations hidden away in them there forests
* If anything was particularly interesting then there will be a comment
Here.. We drove along the beach until we reached the fast running creek that was eroding the sands at great rate. Walked form there as the sands kept collapsing in on the flowing water. Up into the dunes where I spied an echidna whilst Anymules found the cache.
otherwise we found all the caches we looked for and they were in good condition.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks UdderChaos for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

A long weekend away with sir_spectre. Lots of 4WDing and for me getting those caches that I had been hoping to get to one day. The hardest part of this one is getting on the right road without driving on private property.
Thanks to UdderChaos from mogni
Thanks to UdderChaos from mogni
found with mogni. I worked out the tide times and timed it so we could go in at Nene valley. Nice location. quick find.
found with mogni. The target this australia day long weekend was 3 island caches, ladder entry in to a cave, a few tree/structure climbs, finishing and mogni's tradition fizzy grids, driving for 10's of km's along the coast line at various spots ( longest stretch was over 30 km's ) and a multi on a calendar day for me plus a puzzle and multi on calendar days for mogni.

Epic fail you pwned us n00bs... You are only as good as your next find. High tide and there was not way to drive along that beach unless you had a snorkel.
This weekend, jesswrigley and I headed to Glencoe and Mount Gambier for some scuba diving, 4WD and geocaching/sightseeing adventures. Saturday was spent cave diving, Sunday was used to dive Ewens Ponds and 4WD along the southen coast from Port MacDonnell to Blackfellows Caves, while Monday we drove back to Adelaide via Millicent, Southend, Beachport, and Cape Jaffa. A busy long weekend in the south-east.
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with a Mount Gambier breakfast, followed by a booked morning dive in Ewens Ponds. It was jesswrigley's first fresh water scuba dive, and a rather enjoyable experience with the sun out. We then drove along the coast, and where I was expecting a continual coast road, it looked like we had to go inland and back out a fair bit. We went through Cape Douglas, and put the jeep through its paces up the rocky ascents/descents. The track then filtered out, and we were left to continue our travels along some very soft beach sand. We were getting a little worried since it was getting late in the day, but once we lowered the vehicle's tyre pressure down, it was reasonably easy driving. A fun day out!
It's funny that I chatted to the previous finder, weredunn4, about this cache and the route he took. However, I had come a completely different way, and was forced along the beach from Cape Douglas, with no possible option to have detoured back on to the road (so not sure about the route to come from the beach prior to this cache?). Anyway, at least it gave us good access to this geocache, and we parked nearby, and walked up the cliffs, where the cache was promptly located. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Landlubber UdderChaos for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Cache replaced with non rustable type.
Please Access this cache from the beach, entering at nene valley or cape Douglas.. the road up the did did the creek is private property and the farmer gets a bit irate with people on his property.

Received an ominous warning from the cranky farmer on the way out that this is the 'last time' anyone goes into his private property. We approached this from the north which was obviously not the right thing to do, but there were no private property signs...

Headed out for an afternoon of caching and 4 wheel driving with hevwalker and PrincessAria1
After driving on the beach very cautiously we found this unloved cache after a bit of a search
The Ammo can is slowly rusting away. The contents were dry although had spilled as the can had fallen over . Picked the contents up and placed back where it was found.

A Wow moment today. Headed along the beach with TT016 and PrincessAria1 until level to GZ.
Found this unloved cache. Last find 27/11/2016 (25 months ago). Since that time it is obvious the ammo can lid has been eroded away. Even more amazing was a pathtag was found inside, placed 7/2/16. It too has some erosion & cracking. What a treasure we found.
The contents were dry but will not be for long if it rains...
Oh not without blood though, a lump of cement landed on my leg while trying to get up the bank. It's not a caching day without some blood spilt, right...
Cache find # 8600
Thanks for the adventure UdderChaos

Found 27/11/16 @ 1:23 PM.
With a few days spare, I based myself in Portland and decided to do a few roadtrips from there.
Today's aim was a few caches with eother "unloved" days or interesting DT ratings. This cache had a bit of both.
After a bit of a stumble trying to come around the back way (c:geo told me there were roads, the farmer disagreed), I was redirected to Nene Valley to come along the beach. I mean I could have just read the cache notes but apparently thats overrated...
My first beach driving experience. As directed by my ever helpful brother (over the phone), I set about dropping my trye pressures. Farting about with the new deflator and all it took me about 40 mins to do. I'm sure the locals thought I was nuts.
Quick drove along the beach, tide on the way out. Parked near GZ and off I went. Hmm, perhaps shorts we not the best option? No snakes sighted but I'm confident they were loitering around somewhere.
I found the cache but ran into the same problem as the last people that found it. The clip for the lid was rusted down.
Unfortunately this cache has seen better days, the ammo can has many holes rusted through it and the contents are wet. I've fixed it up as best I can but it really needs replacing.
Thanks Landlubber UdderChaos for bringing me here.
295 days of "unloved" days too.

Found whilst on our Road Trip to Mt Gambier with us, TR!, Tomboy711, Snap Happy, and there was an event nearby and this cache was on our to do list.
We walked around the beach and on the sly we reach down low and signed this guy. NIce hide in plain view under some salt bush. THis little fella has seen some salt damage to the ammo can and a little bush mouse has been in and had a nibble. We definitely earned our smiley for this cache., this little cache is a must do. It was a great little walk and a few caches collected and signed, always time for another trip back to the Mount

We looked everywhere at GZ but couldn't locate it, nice views and drive along the beach
Went for a walk down the beach with the geoFurryRat to pick this one up. Haven't been on a bush bash like this for a while. Thanks for the cache.
Argh the Treasure was ours! the girls both laughed and jumped in excitement as dad jumped the final sand dune to the sandy beach below with treasure in hand cackling like a pirate. "The treasure be ours" ... lucky for us we were not shipwrecked today, awesome drive and a fun Cache. Funny enough, another Udderchaos cache that one of the girls finds something in that they just MUST have. Youngest swapped a pink star thing for a little big bird.. (Dani still has her turtle from the Hydra Cache some time ago). Thanks for the Cache and the hearty Adventure, a couple pics and a favorite from us
Found today while literally following the coast to robe. Thx Landlubber UdderChaos for the hide.

Stopped briefly to sign the log while blasting past on a ride from Port Mac to the Lake Bonney lookout and return.
Stopped off on the return trip as I over shot GZ while heading north .
and actually had to get my GPS out to locate the general area, I thought that my 3rd visit here would be easier to locate the cache.
A bit of corrosion on the hinges needing a little extra oomph to open the cache but log and contents still in great condition .
TFTFTRF - (Thanks for the first to re-find)

Another FTF for the new series of an old cache! Pete went down the first time and got 3.2km away from it and couldn't get any further. On the 2nd attempt pete went down with the geofamily and got 2km away from it, but decided we didn't want to walk it so we went home!! pete got the 2 wheel motor bike and set off back down to the cache to come up with the find.
