Day four of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Staying in Christchurch and spent the day traveling down to Akaroa and playing tourist. The tide was a long way out when we stopped here, but it was still a lovely view across the bay.A quick find along the path. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 4 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We are staying in New Brighton and today we headed over to Akaroa for a day of mixed fortunes. A beautiful sunny day and a beautiful location but quite a few DNFs.This one we did manage to find though. Thanks for contributing to the fun planetace
On way back home to Akaroa, stopped and found this cache quickly! Thanks for hiding it!
We are all the way down here in NZ to support our daughter at a sporting competition. And we are making the most of our time to check out the beautiful city of Christchurch and grab some Southern hemisphere caches! QEF at GZ, TFTC
Really enjoying the scenic drive and some caches whilst Im visiting the area. Found caches, no probs. TFTC!
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.Having arrived an picked up my rental car, I wanted to head over to Akaroa, a place I've only ever visited once before on my first trip to NZ back in '88. It was winter back then, and left an impression in me of being stunningly beautiful. What would it be like in Summer? The answer to that is simply "more stunning". From the moment you crest a hill to see the harbour laid out in front of you, to strolling around the charming townships themselves, I'm so glad I came here today. That feeling is helped with also managing to eliminate 1 of my last 3 remaining NZ Jasmer Grid dates.I was now on the drive back towards Chch, and was picking up a few caches as I went. This was one of those. A quick park up and wander over to GZ, where the find was immediate thanks to the Hint. No issues to report here, so I soon added my name to the pristine logsheet and replaced it all as found. Thanks for setting this one up.
Day three of my trip away with tmann421.Heading to Akaroa and surrounding areas of the Banks Penninsula. Loved the drive around and all the caches we foundSigned all logs tm/ww NZThanks to all the cache owners for the efforts in placing and maintaining all caches.

Found with Gummi_Venus on the way back to chch after a nice day at the French Festival
Found on our drive home after spending two nights near Le Bons Bay. Two very hot nights. Great little hiding spot. Dropped a TB.
A quick find after stopping here briefly on the way from Christchurch to Akaroa. TFTC!

Took us a wee while to find this one. Was hidden really well. Im the biggest kid living this adventure. Thanks
Expected this to be a park and grab, however, took slightly longer as very well hidden; TFTC
It is Easter and this was great to find, the hint sort of didn’t help me but definitely some wood close by
It wasn’t where I expected to find it, but it was out in the open, so easily spotted. I tucked it back under a little. Drizzle today but we are going to drive the scenic route back to Christchurch regardless. TFTC
A bit surprised this is here considering the level the flooding seemed to have got to judging by the debris on the fence.
But it is, and it’s all good.
I retrieved, signed and replaced seconds before some cyclists came around the bend.
TFTC planetace.
A trip to Akaroa today for RG1972 and I and the plans (from a caching point of view) were pretty loose.
The adventure lab out there, if we can.
The geotour ones in the vicinity (although it’s unlikely we will ever qualify with all of those for PWGT4). Still, you have to get them while you are here, I guess.
Apart from that, just have fun and see what we come across.
A great day weather wise and we found a few spots that were new to us, including the Giants House in Akaroa and the Hinewai Reserve up the hill. Awesome fun, thanks all COs!

A perfectly timed retrieval by RNZ meant he wasn't snapped by the muggle cyclists who came around the bend just as he replaced it Lovely view of the colorful boat sheds from this spot
A trip to Akaroa today for RNZ & me, nice to get out of the city & explore. The weather was stunning & we had a great day all round. Highlight for me was definitely stumbling across the Giants house. If you get to Akaroa it's a MUST SEE!

Down from Auckland for another blitz upon the PWGT caches and other caches that appeal to us. On this trip there is FMZ, rustynz, Rebel98 and myself in Christchurch for 3 days of fun and another adventure.
A quick drive-by cache for us here, I think it was rusty who did the honours for us. Heading into Akaroa to get PWGT caches today, last day for us, back to Auckland this evening.

Not much of a day but get out and caching gave me a lift. Found some great caches in some lovely spots and some with great views and new places. A quick find. TFTH
Thanks planetace for the cache. It’s #1501 for us. We found your cache on 2 May 2021. Quick park n grab in a busy spot!
Quick easy find on an extra long weekend trip. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a cache. Will be back later with the clubs....
I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Team BOP on another crazy mission to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.
So it's Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission and today we're here having a wander around Akaroa. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward placement and a good hint. Cheers planetace& TFTC

With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles, and some others along the way. So here we are!
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. TFTC
Found with Envy-Us on a caching trip around the southern sector of Banks Peninsular. TFTC
Had a stunning day driving around some of the peninsular. Great weather and some amazing views, and roads! Most finds were straight forward, but sadly noted many lonely caches. TFTC
We decided on an over night visit to Akaroa as it is nearly 40 years since we visited the little town ship of Akaroa . we had a lovely time over in the town ship and i managed to visit a few Caches which were a bonus, although this weekend was a very busy weekend due to a relay race being held this weekend. thank you for the cache i took nothing and left nothing
A quick find as we make our way around the bay....wet and rainy so very few muggles to hinder the hunt. Thanks for the cache
