This geocache was placed as a chuckle and a plug for the Queensland Geocaching Mega Event Stanthorpe 2015. Since then the area has changed and with no favourite points, I decided this whole listing was no longer adding much to the game. As such, it is archived.
Many thanks to all who found it, uploaded a picture and said nice things. It is noted some teams even had this as their first find. My last visit to the area highlighted it has changed a lot since it was placed and again, not really a place requiring a geocache. All fixed now. Goodbye, 'Redcliffe Showgrounds'

After a great day at the Kite Festival Net88, catscatscats22 and I went with the CO, Captain Terror, to this one.
The CO had decided it had done it's time and it was time for it be removed. Luckily for us he allowed us to find and log it before he took it away though!
It had actually been a while since the CO had been here and even he couldn't tell us more about it to assist with the hunt, but after Net88 loaded up the cache we were able to get on our way and find it. TFTC!

Went a bit too far to the right at first and engaged an "attack dog." Thankful for the fence! Easy find at the right spot.

Quickly found while dodging carnival people setting up or packing up, not sure which! TFTC
Spent the day with Konie, and we headed down to cache around the Redcliffe area.
We found a good variety of hides, while driving around the beaches.
With the weather being a bit cool, most areas were muggle free.
Cache was found after a short search, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Captain Terror, for us and others to find.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After a couple of extensive but fruitless searches, we decided to give this one a third attempt. This time it took us all of one second to locate the cache - there is no way that could have been there the last two times we searched!?! TNLNSL TFTC
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
After stopping overnight at Redcliffe to complete some challenge caches and catch up with Stopalot it was time to do some shopping in town before heading to Caboolture.
After the shopping a quick stop here to make a find (Mrs Felix had to join the hunt) to find the cache before packing and moving on.

Out and about on an afternoon of Redcliffe caches with mugglebf.
A quick find, it wasn't in the first place I looked though, just spotted it from the corner of my eye.
Thanks for the cache captain terror.

We had no luck with this one for a second time. We looked in an area about 15m past where the GPS said GZ was. We really couldn't find anything that matched the hint either.
Thanks for the nice quick find Captain Terror.. Was found with no problems at all... It was pretty out in the open but due to the location i don't think this would be much of an issue..
Out on a solo run for a few hours today
I've been to this one before and had a DNF, but today it was easy as pie! Cache blindness much?!?!? No problems dodging the campers. TFTC, Captain.

A quick find here.
Not sure what the hint meant but found it nevertheless!
Had to be careful of the campers setting up in the showgrounds but all went well.

Wow!! Day 44 of my three-month trip to Brisbane.
My sister and her family have come down to see Mum and my good self, and to get some decisions made about the clutter in Mum's house. Santa has brought my niece an Etrex 10 for Christmas, so, not wishing further involvement with said clutter, I'm taking my niece, my brother-in-law and my GeoSchnauzers geocaching. Should I happen to get 10 caches today, it will make it exactly nine finds per day for the whole of December. On that little excursion, we found five caches. I'm now on the second outing for the day, with only the GeoSchnauzers. What an adventure. We found two, got beaten off two by hordes of mosquitoes, got deterred from another by pletherai (plethoras) of muggles, but I did get prawns for tea. I then found another but couldn't reach it to log it. I finally found my third for the trip, then missed another due to muggles, and had to go home to get the washing in - I didn't want my Mum of ancient days falling down the steps. So I'm still short two. I think a night caching trip, with mossie repellent, is in order.
No 6 for the day, out of eight so far. Good hide, I liked it. I drove up[ and parked, and decided the GeoSchnauzers could stay in the car. This, I think, was a good move - I reckon they'd have got really tangled up in the trees. After a short search and rummage, I found the cache in a possie where rummaging was not required. Thanks, Captain Terror.

It was a bit dark to attempt this one, really, and with an audience from the caravanners so close, we decided to spend only the shortest time searching, not wanting torch flashes to make it even more obvious. Found what we though the hint referred to but didn't find the cache before we abandoned the hunt. Thanks anyway, Captain Terror. =^.^=
I was out on a CBNA (Cache By Night Adventure) with *SuzySquirrel*, Stacevel and spinna76 and it was decided that we had terrorised the Coast enought so why not head down closer to Brisbane and annoy them whilst ferreting around in the cloak of darkness.
This was the first cache of the night and before we could all even get of the car, the always prepared spinna76 made the very quick find. After we all had a look inside and joined our names with the Cachers before us, the cache was returned as found.
Before the smoke could settle we were off to find the next one!
Thanks for the cache Captain Terror. Your cache is in good order.

Spinna76, *SuzySquirrel*, MinkosDes and I decided to band together and get some night caches. We were kid free and ready for adventure so we decided to hit up Redcliffe. We all piled in the car and headed for our destination, hoping we would be lucky enough to avoid the storm clouds and lightening above us, thankfully we WERE. We stopped off for dinner and a moment to plan our attack and then we were on our way.
This was our first for the evening. Spinna76 had it pretty quickly, we all added our names to the log, placed it back as found and we were off to our next adventure.

#771 @ 8:38 pm. Night time run with spinna76, Stacevel and MinkosDes to Redcliffe. Quick first find for the evening. TFTC Captain Terror !
We were in the Showgrounds today for the Convoy for Kids and decided to look for this cache on the way back to the car. I spotted the hide as we approached, signed the log book, re-hid the cache and we continued on our way. Cache is in good condition. TFTC
We found this one quite easily as it wasn't completely covered so we added a bit more cover... Should still be quite easy though!
# 250 for me not an overly exciting cache for this milestone but all smileys are good
Easy find well covered TFTC

Having just completed a series of caches with attached animal camo, bit shocked when the big hairy spider on this one actually started to move! Think we both scared each other as he ran off quickly when I dropped the cache. With spider at a safe distance, signed log and returned container to its hidey hole.
Had to wait for the council mower man to finish doing his thing. Once he was past I walked to GZ to find the cache completely exposed. Added my name to the log and replaced with some camo. TFTC.
