A quick find whilst travelling around The Mount today....Took about 10 mins to locate, the co-ords are pretty good for that sort of locale.I own a similiar style cache, south of Adelaide. For those wondering... hiding like this is now forbidden by Groundspeak, however ones in existence at time of banning are now 'Grandfathered' and can still exist. I can't spell it out, but you'll understand when you find this one. Read some logs for a clue.TNLNSL Thanks
We done a welfare check on our cache all good and living it's best life no maintenance need as cache is in great condition.
Tftc took a while but well worth the find as it was very very clever and colourful. I can see why it's a grandpa cache and not to be reproduced. I saw on the geocache logs that this was approved by the powers that be.
After a couple years away from the activity, finally back and finally sorting out a couple dnf's. Can't believe we didn't find this the first time round. We did go at night the first time but seriously how did we miss this? Anyway this afternoon after school the youngest member of the team wanted to do a cache so we chose this one. A very cool hide, from a cool team we haven't caught up with in a while. Tftc
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country roads caching. Thanks for the hide
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC. LNCU.
**Today:**Found with DSDMy first ever day in South Australia Woke up in Mount Gambier today with no real destination, but a big list of caches! Ended up just up the road in Millicent, but still several hundred kilometres travelled as we detoured down to the coast! The biggest goal of today, and the entire trip, was finishing my AUSMER! We found not only one, but two caches in my final month I needed! Its been a multi-year challenging journey, so good for it to be finished! ---**This Cache:**It took us a while to find this cache! There is plenty of dumped rubbish very close by as well, so we were worried it was missing when we couldnt spot a Large sized cache in a fairly open area! But a more thorough look before giving up; and something revealed itself! Ahhhh very sneaky! A cool little hide once opened up too. Thanks for the fun and something different
Scratched our heads for awhile, then heard something, so investigated further .Well, there was more luck than judgement in finding this one .TNLNSL.Thanks Cruiser95.
Talk about cool caches- this has to be one of my favourites and to top it off I was with my bestie and her kid ( Mugglemasterkid8 ) who is only 8 and he found it , he was so over the moon
SL at 2:30pm. I would be lying if I said today was a fantastic day weatherwise for caching. Well, what fun was had here. The phone gps has us going around in circles a few times. It wasn't until MuggleMasterKid8 said mum what's this? He had literally hit the jackpot! The rainbow serpent did not elude us today.
*A FP is coming your way from MuggleMasterKid8 who was so proud of himself for finding this cache on his own! One very proud mumma here (who was gonna log it as a DNF, haha!)
*Picked up 4 of the trackables to move along.
*TFTC Cruiser95 and the fantastic challenge!

OMG did we get lucky today!
Mrs Riddell is recently recovering from surgery and insisted on taking a walking pole to this site.
Not done this before as she usually bounces through the bush!
At GZ about 2 minutes and she felt and heard the “hollowness” of a large rainbow serpent cache!!!
Very accurate coordinates indeed!
We would never have identified this cache otherwise. Would have just walked over it oblivious. It’s a little better discernible after we have disturbed the ground cover.
All those TBs are still there intact waiting patiently for distribution.

The rainbow serpent is a fantastic creation myth and you have created a fantastic cache to honour it. I spent some time searching before being able to log this sneaky one. I dropped in ten trackables which i have collected over the last couple of weeks, i hope they enjoy their stay here together and then disperse on their journeys.
A great day to be out caching in Mount Gambier and surrounds. Unfortunately this one eluded Symonds 6 and myself. We will be back.
Headed off to the South East for a little recreation with Purrfect Di and Jack.
Plenty to do down this way, and good weather for it too.
Stomped around in the undergrowth for a good half hour before finally revealing the serpent
A few other beasties had made their home here, but luckily none with fangs.
Cool cache hide
Many thanks to Cruiser95 for placing and maintaining this heaps good cache

- - Search at a good social distance whenever you can - or at least with nice safe friends - -
Things may eventually be getting back to whatever normal might be - take it carefully!
Catching covid or gastro or anything really messes up your streaks and challenges!
Keep away from all the viral bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course )
[|)] - let's all go and vaccinate, one day when it's available lol !
[|)] - keep away from people as much as you can, they still spread the nasty bugs! [:o)]
[|)] - go out and find or place some new caches in our safe country areas away from allthe red zones
Cache life's good. Enjoy ! ! ! Just do it

Heading down to Mount Gambier with Mogni for the weekend and lucky for us we both had the Friday off as well. We stopped to get a few new release cache since the last trip, clear some dnf's off and grab some off the highway stray caches plus find a puzzle and a multi cache needed by me on this calendar day.

Day 349 ( Tuesday 11th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Mt Gambier today. A total of 25 for the day and 6476 the trip.
This weekend, I headed to Mount Gambier for another weekend of cave diving practice. I was diving at Pines Cave for both Saturday and Sunday, and spent a little time with finding a few geocaches in the afternoons. Saturday was spent around the Mount Gambier Prison vicinity, while Sunday was spent travelling back to Adelaide via Millicent and Beachport lakes inland section.
This afternoon following my dives, I decided to head to the west of Mount Gambier and find a cluster of geocaches around Mount Gambier Prison. A few drivebys and a visit to McNamara Park where the motorbikes must race. A pleasant few hours before darkness fell.
I made the short walk in and reasonably quickly found what I needed at GZ. This turned out to be a very creative construction between the hide and cache itself. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. A Favourite Point from me for this geocache's uniqueness and theme. Thanks Cruiser95 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Out on a road trip around the limestone coast with CPwanderer.
An interesting name & I was hoping that it wasn't a snake cache or something creepy.
But someone had some spare tuppaware containers, which I then needed to sanitise my hands after eventually finding the log.
A nice location and quick find after finding a few of these cache hides before.
Thanks for the hide Cruiser95

Very cute!!! Located with clare007 as the light was fading!! Thanks for the hide!!
Some good weather on the radar for today so we made a big list of caches that we had yet to tackle.
Good day was had with only 2 DNF's and NO RAIN. The sun even came out for the afternoon.
This was Mr Felix favourite find for the day as the log was definitely dry!

No snakes today just a lovely rainbow serpents son.
We noticed there were a few caches out this way so decided to take the road less traveled today.
Nice lil wander in the Bush had us finding a well stocked cache.
Thanks Cruiser95 for the cache, found, signed and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLNSL

Day 4 in the Millicent area and this afternoon I headed down to the Mount to go sinkhole snorkeling, grabbing caches on the way. Thanks to all the cache owners for the good quality caches in the area. TFTC
Hi there Cruiser95.
We've decided to stay in Mount Gambier for a little longer, & today we targeted some caches in the nearby forests. We enjoyed our outing and found 18 caches (& DNF'd 1) in our cache run today. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia. Thanks also for placing a large cache container here. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache here. We awarded this cache a favourite point for the novelty value.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Regards
Ian & Penny.

That kept us busy. Nice one. TFTC
A trip east to Parkville 2018 had us stopping on the way to collect a few caches and again stopping on the way home. Well that’s what cachers do when they head to a mega don’t they.

I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.
We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.
We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.
This took a bit of searching. Opening the right container was the next challenge! All good in the end though.
Thanks Cruiser95 for the cache.

I agree coords are great. Still took us a long time even with someone who had found it before. Well done guys. TFTC
Due to three did not finds we thought it time to check our cache and all is great cache is still there and in great condition . CO Ords are spot on so good luck everyone .
After much scrambling in scrub, we came up empty and frustrated. Previous activity indicated it was a cache worth finding. We shall return!
7 of us tramped around in the undergrowth for quite some time, but were disappointed not to be able to find this cache.
Suscoe had a terrific day caching to the west on Mount Gambier today.
It was cloudy for most of the day with a cool breeze to keep everything nice and temperate.
We found 40 caches in total which was a lovely number on a beaut day.
Well this was a pretty nice find.
There we little skinks nearby as well today to add a reptilian taste to the experience.
Thanks to Cruiser95 for this clever hide.

Great cache found just on darkness.

Find number #31 on the 3rd arvo of my 3 day weekend off with Matty.D.
After a BBQ event in Geelong, it was Mount Gambier bound for the two of us, for another BBQ, non caching related for the SA one but of course we had to grab caches there and back!
Appreciate you making us stop here to get a smiley.
I like serpents.
Awesome cache! Loved it =D Good camo too.
Took- spoon.
Left- TB & Geocoin. Signed log.
Fav point added.

You know what, I'm pretty sure that you're not going to have a problem with water going into this one! Took a little time to get to the log book but we got there in the end.
