The cache doesn't have a lid and needs a new log

We came during the day so we had no idea what we were doing at first but it didn't take us too long!

Very interesting multicache, I think it would better to go at sunset or at night time to make it feel more like a murder mystery.

After assessing the scenario and probable risks, donned a bullet proof jacket, took a communications device in case back-up was required.
Arrived at the given location just before dusk. Soon had the suspect rounded up and cornered. Slipped the cuffs on and deviously extracted a signed confession to the crime witnessed with the arresting officer's signature on a really tatty scrap of paper.
Took note of an additional clue as I set off back to the cache car.
Thanks for an interesting cache.

Woohoo! Excellent cache. We enjoyed this one. A little bit of thinking outside of the box! Thanks.

Yes got it in the daytime. Great clues. A must to read and follow. Would be easier at nightfall. Enjoy

Made the find in the middle of the afternoon. Geosenses kicked in. TFTC

Mum and Dad were without kids, so took the opportunity to look for a night cache.
It was 7:15pm, so probably not as dark as the CO intended. Both Mum and Dad agreed on a place to start the search. Dad found a couple of clues immediately; and Mum, expecting a lot more/harder work moved further and further afield. Dad quickly located the final, which left Mum feeling a bit silly.
The cache container definitely needs attention - we can see what the previous finders mean about the mintie wrapper.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.

After a day caching out East, we decided to call into Highbrook to clear a few more caches there. The conditions weren't really ideal for this cache (a bright sunny afternoon!) However the experience gained by several years of watching TV crime dramas kicked in and we were soon doing our own forensic sweep of the area and the evidence was quickly discovered. The container had no lid, but the mintie paper is still keeping the log dry! TFTC!

Wasnt too sure about doing this at night but after reading through a few logs decided to give it a go at dawn. Spied evidence at the scene, checked over the shoulder that no suspects were in the area, then moved into the GZ position. Nice quick find and was soon signing the log. Evacuated the area, retracing the steps made from the trail in.

Found with renelm and Difool, logged as RAD to save log space, time and trees.

I am not much of a logwriter, so see renelms, and possibly Difools, log for details.

I apologize for the extremely late logging.

TFTC!

It was difficult to find suitable parking but the cache was quickly located.

Logged as RAD together with renelm and aedk.

Locating the available parking for this cache was quite an investigation in it self.. we ended parking at BNZ and then it was quite a walk in the clear light of the moon.

At GZ the clue was quickly located..and then it was home to sleep.

Found at 00:28 - #4770 - together with aedk and Difool - logged as RAD to save space and time

The cache lid has broken and is no longer water proof, a good rain could ruin the log.

Us and a couple of other cachers decided to try and clear out all the caches in Highbrook. Step one: find a day when we are all free. Step two: pray that it doesn't rain. Surprisingly we managed to complete both steps!

This was our sixth cache of the day. Approaching the coordinates we were getting very confused, a cache in the middle of the field? Once we got there and read the description we did a bit of searching and came up with the cache. Love how the story matches up with the location, I almost want to come back in the dark and do it again. Found with ftdbur and phscomike.

Definitely is a bit harder to find during the day. But using some intuition we found it! TFTC.

On the way home from MEGA and seeing some family in Auckland. Only got one day at the MEGA but managed a diving trip so all wasn't lost.

Being the middle of the day, I didn't hold my chances on finding this one really high. But I thought I'd check it out so I'll be prepared for a night visit. Had a bit of a forensic search and with a bit of luck located the bullet holes and the cache.

Sorry I didn't find it in the way it was meant to be found.

Got an idea at GZ and was proofed correct with the cache container and a log to sign. TFTC

Up here today with Nova Lightning to see if we can clean up a few caches to try to meet our own challenge that we set ourselves to achieve by the time the MEGA rolls around.

OK while this wasn't done in the night but in the Fog as we were wandering around the area (along from a "Bunch of Bloody Big Poles" so thought that we would investigate the casr . After a spot of uinvestigation followed by a dedustion or two we came up with the evidence that put the case to bed and yet another one solved for the team.
As we predicted before we begun the case, the boss would be Smilie should we solve it.

Had planned a 'big day' with Cats&Dragons and we were trying to collect 50+ caches today.

It was an early start to the day (5.00am) or for steve just a normal start to the day. We headed up to Auckland and started clearing out the area.

This was a nice easy find before heading off to the next one.

Ok, we admit we didn't do it at night time but figured we would give the case of the "Highbrook Bullet" a go. Our detective skills must be pretty good today as the cache was soon located. Love the "Minties" wrapper around the log book and it seems to do a good job of keeping it dry. TFTC

11664... Deja vu, we were soon on track to collect the missing bullet, its moments like these you need... TFTC.

Found it! Walking through muddy paddocks in not so cheap suade European heels made it slightly more difficult to navigate!

Took a team from the office, including em.kershaw and ReadyBoys4, plus one muggle out at lunch. Hadn't looked at the attributes properly, so didn't quite get what we were looking for at GZ. ReadyBoys4 widened the search radius and located the evidence we were searching for. He's keeping it for another time with the rest of his crew, so em.kershaw and I signed the log. The cache container is broken though and log was a bit damp. Have attempted to protect it by wrapping it in a lolly wrapper, inside the container. It's moments like these you need Minties! I hope that we haven't contaminated any DNA samples!

Didn't come very well prepared but thought id give it a go anyways... Second stop tonight and by now, it was very dark. Made my way over to GZ using the torch from my phone which wasn't much good but good enough to see where i was going. Arrived and yep, my torch was pretty much useless as i couldn't see a thing. But my caching instincts prevailed and i found what i was looking for and the stray bullets were detected. Log signed and evidence reported. TFTC! Big GrinBig Grin

Out and about taking the caching buddy for a walk in her favorite park. Stopped by for a quick find. As I approached Gz I realized that I had been here before! Thanks.

I needed a cache find tonight, and what could be better than an actual night cache? Anyway, it was like deja vu all over again. Cheers for the multicache!

Headed out to do some night caching in the Highbrook area and decided to start with this Multi.

A quick easy find - with the help of a torch and ensuring we didn't over think it.

Have tried to chase the criminals from the previous heist without much success.

After reports of this shootout, Team Vamber were on the case. The stray bullets were located and quickly extracted.

Unfortunately I was just leaving the area to another crime^H^H^H^Hache when the offence was committed. Returned to the scene of the crime on the way back to investigate where the conditions were right to locate the stray bullet.

Detoured past the big CourierPost depot on the way out, it was fascinating to peer in and see all the packages being sorted.

Thanks!
