Out for an afternoon of caching the Maleny area. There have been a few in this area that remain to be found, and a few more that I have DNF'd but have been recently found. All in all it was a great session on the Range. The first find for the afternoon, I came back here again this afternoon as I strongly suspected it was missing last time I was here. As it turns out, it was and now there is a replacement in play. Safe to say it was a pretty easy park and grab. Just had to get up on my tippy toes to retrieve it. What a great view. Thanks spiderwebbs4!
Seeing this one was probably missing and we had a nano handy, I contacted the cache owner to see if they wanted it replaced.Three of us had a really good fondle of everything at gz that had any height at all.I even free climbed both poles to peer more intently, with no luck.Eventually replaced where the two ladies thought the gps was leading, while I was certain it was the other side, but majority rules so, it's somewhere within three metres of your gps. Thanks Spiderwebbs4 for showing me this cool view on this road I've never been on before. We had a good while to admire whilst searching.
Yep, we got it. No we don't.But wait...try other side. Yeah, yeah yep. Nope..we searched this side. We searched that side.Missing? We replaced, signed and moved onwards and upwards. Tftc
No luck for me today. Had to wait a while for a muggle who parked up within view of GZ to scram. Once he was gone however, there was no sign of the cache in the two obvious spots.
Sunday afternoon geocaching on the way home. Took a little bit to find only because its tiny!
What a beautiful spot at sunset - gorgeous! I couldnt quite reach so had to get the Mrs whos 2cm taller to give it a crack haha. Couldnt get the log out so decided to leave unsigned TFTC
Out for a solo ride today, and enjoying the area. Really had fun with Apple drive down to the correct area. No problems finding. Though I had a hard time extricating the lock. Signed it OZ and replaced as found.
Saturday. Out on a day trip with oz_bean_counter at the wheel! A great day was had by all.
We had visited here before, so just stopping in to log some TB visits.

Headed out and about with the Slow Punctures today. The plan didn't go to plan, which was good, because we had a great time despite the plan!!! This was one of many caches grabbed on the drive from Brisbane to Landsborough to Maleny and on to Mooloolah and back home. Epic day, and thanks for making it better by providing some caches to find!
spiderwebbs4 I found your cache Brandenbump on 8/7/2022, 9:45 am. This is my find 3693 and find # 1 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
It’s a group assault on Booloumba Creek that has seen a keen and enthusiastic team assemble at 6:30am (that’s the pre-dawn 6:30) in Carseldine to make our way North…
The team is nikid1, snickersallan, kolour, Willis007, chamad and I… so with a plan to visit A Good Egg, (excellent suggestion nikid1) first we drove, well I didn’t, I just talked, for a couple of hours through the mist/fog…
You can have the best plan, well thought out, constructed and mapped… but get enough cachers together and it’s lucky to last an hour… today was no exception…
As the day draws to a close, and it appears one of the goals for today just isn’t going to happen, there was time enough to shove a few park’n’grabs into the bag…
Willis007 took care of the cache while I dug out a headlamp for the remaining caches…

In the area with caching friends Nikid1, Kolour, Snickersallen, Peppa and chamad.
We were starting to lose light, and people as two of our party decided to make the long journey south.
A quick find here.
Thanks spiderwebbs4 for the cache.

Today was a Phonenix day, after the plans for a particular walk were postponed and people scrambled to make further plans. This small fun group raised from the ashes and decided to head north and grab a Good Egg. After a little organising, we had a meeting spot and now a car or two for the drive up. We grabbed a couple of quick caches along the way before getting to our meeting spot. As with all good plans, they are “STC - Subject To Change”. The day was fun and full of laughs and quality caches. Would do this again, great day out, thanks all.
We finished up at the lookout and had a drink and a quick bit to eat. Time was getting on so a few of us decided to head on caching and a few left for the day. We took the road to Mooloolah and grabbed a couple of caches along here. This was an easy find and willis007 did the honours of signing the cache.
Thanks for the cache and the fun hide, great place to stop. Log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto our next one.

I was very happy to be invited along to a group caching adventure in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with Chamad, Willis007, Peppa, nikid1 and snickersallan. A total of 22 caches for me.
After our finds in the Conondales, we headed back towards Brisbane finding some caches along the way. Willis007 jumped out of the car and signed for us before continuing down the road in the darkening conditions. Tftc

Yippee back to the Sunshine Coast. Why I am heading up here. Of course a challenge cache. I needed 8 on the Sunshine Coast.
After Delaneys Creek I headed to Maleny. I had few here to do between showers.
So mainly park and grabs today. I found 6 around Maleny and 2 on the way home.
I had lots of fun today but mainly stay dry.
Sorry for the generic log.

Clever little nano cache, the camouflage was nice and the hint definetly helped. TFTC!
Nice hide and glorious road. I’ve never been here before. Tough climb on a loaded touring bike but worthwhile. TFTC
So tiny we saw it and dismissed it with "surely not" at first. Amazing. We sadly couldn't extract the log without risking destroying it as we didn't have any tiny tweezers and the paper itself looked damp so didn't sign.
Easily spotted so quick find but replacement took a little longer after dropping half of it but thankfully found signed log and carefully replaced. Tftc
TFTC Quick easy find buit a long stretch for a short person. Lucky we had our TOTT TNLNSL
Wowzers, Hasnt this area changed! 10+ years since I last drove along here, it was dirt road, none of this nasty bitumen stuff, out with Mrs Wallaby and Zelda the WoofyWanderer in Grover the Geo-Jimny, we ventured along this road collecting the odd cache here and there, the nasty little geocache was resting on its little hiding spot, luckily no strong winds had blown it off, log signed, it was put back in its hiding spot with the magnet being used this time to secure it to its footing like a nasty little limpet.. tftc!
Ha so micro! Didn’t have the tools to take the log out, so was unable to sign the log. Beautiful road and spot! Tftc
For some reason I had never found this one on my travels...but that all changes today.
Thanks spiderwebbs

On-route with No_Tomorrow to a nearby Earthcache, we stopped here for a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Cheers

We stay nearby in a BnB lodge, very nice! At our last evening, I stopped at this cache, it was a quick find.
Thanks a lot for the cache from Switzerland

GPS skips a bit. There is no need to enter the long grass. Had fun finding this one.
Sooo very glad I didn’t drop it in the head high grass. Beautiful views here
A nice find on an early morning drive around the area. A tool is needed to get the little log out. TFTC
A gorgeous spring morning was spent driving around the hinterland roads between Beerwah, Landsborough, Peachester and Maleny exploring areas we hadn't visited before.
Spotted the tiny blighter fairly easily and got my name in pole position in the logsheet, added just OC to save room. More lovely views across the hills, the purple jacarandas make a stunning contrast to the lush green hills.

Smilie # 5,647, found at 11:21 on 23 Oct. 2018. TFTC **spiderwebbs4**, discover our TB

As we passed on our way home from a weekend away, we did our usual slow down at the bump and check on the cache from the car. We couldn't spot it this time so parked for a better look. I hadn't had any reports of trouble but we could not find the little nano anywhere.
Replaced with another - white now.
Happy hunting!!!

While camping in Landsborough for a few days with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and try finding a few caches in this area.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Muggle ROn found it before us, great spot to take in the scenery and admire the water tightness of the cache tftc
Was a bit worried because hadn't been found for a while. Had some muggles along for a first time. Great spot.
I had picked what I thought was the closest cache to my last known position but apparently there are some roads on the map that aren't actually roads. So off I went on a cooks tour and back through Maleny trying to head towards home and a big Friday night session at the pub.
There are parts of this dirt road you definitely don't want to hit at speed because you might find out what its like to fly (in your car). I'm not positive you would stick the landing. GZ is a great spot with an awesome view. I've been blessed with some great views today and this was right up there.
It did take a few minutes to make the find and then a few minutes to roll the log back up. I'm now finally off to Eudlo to see if the cafe is open. It wasn't! tftc

I am on my way home from Maleny after a couple of days work.
I have a bit of time for a quick detour to find a couple of caches down this way.
Thanks for the cache.

Passing by on the way to see Dad for Father's Day and stopped to check on this one due to recent DNF. At first, we couldn't spot it and noticed recent slashing nearby and feared the worst, but upon further inspection the cache was found - just on the other side from where we usually put it.
All good here still - happy hunting...

Saturday. Slow Puncture were on their way to the Sierra1 event today.
We approached from the top direction. The first observation is that the No Through Road at the Brandenberg Gate cache location is a LIE. SUBTERFUGE. We needed to get from there to Bli Bli, to have turned back after finding this cache and having to have returned through Landsborough would have added 20 - 30 minutes to the journey. Naughty Council. [:(!] That whinge over, we arrived at GZ and promptly spotted the blighter.
Kerry found a way to stretch further than was possible for one person, and the log was signed. Then returned. But NOT before dropping it in the grass and spending 10 frantric minutes trying to find it, which was ultimately successful. WHEW We then proceded to travel down the road and into Mooloolah, with no problemos.
This was the 2nd of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***spiderwebbs4***, for showing us this place.

Last week I decided it was time to do a decent caching run and I chose the area from Woodford North to Maleny then down to Landsborough then down to Caboolture and home. Left Nanango at 0530 in fine weather and 20minurtes later as I drove through Yarrman the drizzle started and continued all day till I arrived home at 1930hours. From drizzle to Rain to fog I got soaked but enjoyed the day especially in the very few dry spots during the day.
This was the fifth one for the day of 28 and 487Klm dirve and 14 hours in duration. I saw where the GPSr wanted me and parked on the grass area just past GZ. Good co ordinates. Quick find in most likely spot. Light drizzle and fog. I just walked to the obvious spot.. I had a little trouble with the thread so I have replaced the container with like to make it easier for the next finder and to, hopefully, assist the CO. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small, nano and micro log sheets to save room on the paper as I tend to wite big. TFTC spiderwebbs4.

On the way home from Xmas lunch with the family in Maleny, we stopped here for a check. I didn't check the previous logs and thought for some reason it was a full log that was the issue, so I replaced the log and went on our way. Now I realise that it was the container thread that was a bit dodgy, it did take some lining up to get it to screw together properly but I did get it closed as usual.
I'll keep an eye on subsequent finders logs and if this continues to be an issue, I'll replace the container.
Merry Christmas - nice sunset on our stop here today.

I was staying up at Maleny for the weekend as a result of attending a wedding on my wife's side of the family. As part of the arrangements, I negotiated compensation, for having to suffer through the various events, in the form of a day of caching. The wife and daughter would travel up with her sister and I was free to roam the countryside on the way to Maleny, gathering caches at my leisure.
With my main mission for the day of walking around the trails of Ewen Maddock Dam now complete it was time for some less strenous caches as I slowly meandered my way up to Maleny as the afternoon grew later. It appeared I was going to take a less travelled route to include some desired caches including this one. The views up here were quite stunning and it took me a while to focus my attention back to looking for the cache. Being knee high to a caterpillar, this cache proved a challenge but some money moves soon had the cache to hand. Just in time to answer a phone call from the wife urging me to make my way to the accomodation to arrive for dinner on time. Coming dear....TFTC

Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. After finding a nearby cache, we decided that we had time to find "just one more cache". We parked the car in a safe spot and wandered back the short distance to GZ. There, I quickly located the cache and added our names to the log. TFTC
We had just found a cache down the road, and as the saying goes... "there's always one more", so we dutifully travelled the 1km to make the "one more" find [:O)] Liked the name and the placement of this one. What great views the residents here have! Tftc spiderwebbs4
Haha great tiny cache. Needed the hint to find it. What a beautiful spot, even on a rainy gloomy Sunday. Thanks for the fun find
