##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

The cache has been in a bad condition with a broken container, water in the cache and a soaked logbook since March 2020 and has had a needs maintenance on it for the past 9 months.
I was driving past yesterday while placing caches in the area. The cache was full of water again.

Container was almost full of water and the contents are really yucky!! Signed the disintegrating log as best as I could but probably illegible as we speak.
Silvereyes was the first to get to this one and did her best to sign. Cache full of water and log very soggy.
Started the Mineshaft series ages ago and today was the day to hopefully finish off the remaining ones after a quick trip over Paddy’s River. Gloomy old day and rain expected so fingers crossed.
Grateful thanks to CO for placing and maintaining this series of caches that continue to entertain me on my caching journey.

So much junk in this bucket full of water. Log book still signable but container needs some loving!
A nice day for a quick drive around Pierce's Creek forest, mostly targeting the Mineshaft series. Unfortunately most of these caches are in poor condition and need replacing. Nonetheless this cache was found quickly at GZ. It's in a poor state, the log is quite wet but able to be signed. Thanks.
Found as part of the "Adventure Boys Group" today. Thia cache was an easy find. Thanks for the cache and the adventure. signed dsd or AB for ths "Adventure Boys".
This cache and many in the series are in poor condition and need urgent attention. Some cant be signed as they are waterlogged or fhe logbook is wet.

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. High winds, cold, sleet, rain, mush, icy, snow, we had it all! But we endured, and had a fantastic time regardless. Did I mention that it was cold? Bone chillingly cold. I am not sure my fingers have as yet recovered! Some roads were even closed due to snow, curtailing our route and resulting in some last-minute changes.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

A very chilly couple of days in and around the ACT with The Rats and Hoojar- most of the time the temperature didn't peak above 4 degrees! Amongst the sleet, rain, wind and cold however we made plenty of finds on mainly a number of power trails. TFTC!
Headed out for a caching run with steeba and Hoojar that had a bit of everything. These caching runs are planned months in advance and to-date have been perfect. This trip was no different – except for the influence of the WEATHER. A weekend in the Canberra hills that had howling winds, driving rain, sleet, hail, snow, frozen body parts slippery icy tracks, closed roads and temps that never got higher than 6 deg by day and were subzero all night, but alas we had a great boys weekend caching.
Apologises for the generic log but it doesn’t detract from the caching fun, except for the WEATHER which played a major part in our weekend. Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

Found pretty quickly. The log for this one was wet too, but not too bad. Not sure why the log was down the bottom of the bucket.
Thanks jusojara

Glad there's not a lot of cars through here as not a lot of space to pull off road. Still a beautiful drive. Replaced clipseal bag. Tftc
Passing by today, hey maybe I could grab this, flat batteries in GPS meaning can't untether it from car, no phone reception either, so went for a walk and there it was. One more in the series for me, thanks.
Took a few hours out of the afternoon to finish off the series/area. Was here 9 months or so ago, time to complete the job. Cloudy skies kept the temps down, big fat juicy blackberries at almost every stop, yum yum yum. TNLNSL TFTC
I was hungry, tired and sore so decided to leave the rest of the series for another day despite only having about 10 left I just wasn't up for it
So instead I just focused on the 3 "Large" sized caches given they are rare and I need a lot more for one of the UGC challenges in Gungahlin.
TFTC! A good find

Out today with aquilus1 to finish the mineshaft series and I found some caches to. Everything in cache is really wet but log did write ok and only a bit damp in its bag. great cache TFTC
1:19pm with Aquilus1 and Youban. As we couldn't go straight to the next one we turned left to this one. Another straightforward find. Tftc!!!
With dty73 and youban on a beautiful winters day, all blue sky and sunny saw us out in the area to find a few caches. Nice sized cache easy to find them this size, thanks for the cache jusojara.
Out with dty73 & aquilus1 for a day ofcaching. Enjoying the rough roads in a 2wheel drive car. Kutgw
#7476 - 12:15; It was still foggy and cold when I set out this morning in search of a couple of large sized caches to qualify for a challenge cache published close to home. The fog cleared after I passed through the Cotter Dam area and made my way to Pierces Forest to make a start on the Mineshaft series, which I've had on the 'to do' list for quite some time and to pick up a couple of large caches whil;e I was at it. I started at the start, but should have gone further along the main road before taking to the dirt. I was tempted to continue on, but decided that this would be my last stop for this mission as it gave me the second large cache that I needed for the challenge. I parked the geomobile and headed in to GZ, making the right choice of trail and landed striaght at GZ. The cache container is just starting to suffer the effects of the weather, but should be good for a while longer unless the visits become more frequent again. TFTC jusojara

Collected 5 large container caches early in the morning before work. Need these for a challenge cache. Enjoyed the 4x4 drive to GZ, where the container was found quickly. TFTC jusojara
Wow! Only I would be silly enough to do most of the caches on this side of the road in a 2wd. Bad mistake! While the track was mostly good and starting from top and working down works well towards the end the track gets tough. I bottomed out several times on the last Hill.
Next time I'll use 4wd to complete the others in the area. However it was a lovely day and the caches were mostly in good condition and coordinates were fairly accurate this afternoon.
Thanks for those involved in making these series here. I shall return again to do some more hopefully in the not too distant future

A lovely near-summer's day beckoned geocachers out today. I have been eyeing off the old Canberra Rally course in Pierce's Creek for some time, but I was not sure my 2wd geo-vehicle was up to the task. In the end, there were only a couple of places where I chose discretion over bravado, one was the climb up to the collimation tower and the other was down the "mine shaft". The rest was pretty good although the home stretch was a lot rougher than the rest. Quite a few misses today, but there do seem to be a few AWOL.

So I decided to do some caches on my motorbike, a Posty, and what better area to do that than here on these dirt tracks leading around a forest. Most forests like this are locked by gates so this was definitely a pleasure to be able to take my posty out for a spin with my muggle bro in tow. Most caches easy to find, some harder and about 4, I couldn't find at all. Only 2 soaked to the bone, so unable to log. Prior to arriving my rear brake malfunctioned on me so I had to do with only the front brake (tough) and then my bro tried to take on a hill that was way to steep so had a fall and certainly was sore for most of the day. TFTC. Well done.
Today we explored Camberra and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. As we had not completed this series last time we again tackled a few more caches on our to do list. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I come from a long line of proud Von Mannschafts... wait, Mineshaft...
I came out here to pick up a few more Large caches. I realised after I got out of phone reception that I probably should have stored some more of the series in my phone so I could grab them while I was out here walking between the Large ones, but I hadn't so just the Larges for this trip. There's an unfortunate amount of blackberries around these caches and I got rather scratched up while trying to get to them.

After a big day on the 11th, I decided to change pace (and mode of transport) and head out to a series I had had my eye on for quite a while. There have been many times where I have looked at this series and chosen to go elsewhere as the mode of transport had been right. Today, I was in luck as my sister had kicked my dad and I out of the house this afternoon. My dad asked if there were any caches I would like to visit and this series came to mind.
We had about 4 hours of time between lunch and my swimming club's presentation night, which boiled down to about 3 hours of geocaching time. I was hoping I wouldn't have any issues with these caches and that the finds would be reasonably easy along the way. It looked like it was going that way for the first couple but we soon encountered the usual troubles of pine forest caching at Tulip 3. After a difficult search given the number of hiding places, I had it found and was onto the next one.
It wasn't all smooth sailing from there though, although a number of the caches were found quickly, there were still a few which stunted progress along this trail. I decided to also try Pierces Parapet along the way, which I soon found while enjoy the views. The one DNF of the day was at Tulip 21, where the area has been thoroughly cleared and it is difficult to imagine that the cache survived the removal of the trees. I found a small black (empty) bottle but I would be surprised if it was the cache. I also had to leave Pearces Panorama as I approached from the wrong side and couldn't find a way up to the top in time. I guess if I have to return for one cache, it may as well be two! I also managed to get one more puzzle on the way out which I had had on my "Solved but Unfound" list for a long time.
The cache which took the longest to find was SOS Alpha, with all the blackberry closing in on the cache, closely followed by The Gully and Roll Over, the satellites were certainly against me on those two! I also found Tulip 25 filled with water and Flying Finish with a big hole in the lid and looking very UV damaged. Otherwise, it was a fantastic trail! Thank you so much to Jusojara, Diamantina Stars, Delta Response Team and Buzz701 for placing this series and to the other COs for their caches as well. It was a bonus to be able to make it on time to the evening's event!

Out for the second day to grab the rest of the Mineshaft series and also grab a few other Cotter caches. I took my car on a few tracks that I don't think it was made for, but I made it with a bit of slipping. TFTC mr roo.
Went on a cache plunder with SiteHound today, and we cleaned up the Mineshaft series (except for one DNF) and a few others along the way! We mostly kept out of the rain (except for a couple) and enjoyed the cooler weather. SiteHound brought home-made ANZAC biscuits and ginger beer, which we enjoyed enroute!
Another larger cache which I was pleased to find. We also spotted a black wallaby on the way to this one - he looked very suspiciously at us. thanks jusojara!

We had been down at Corin Dam in the morning and decided to tackle the mineshaft / tulip series around the Pierces Forest region, in the afternoon.
We had not been in here before and enjoyed the nice easy drive around the forest.
We only came across one car all day at the severe incline cache . Plenty of roos and rabbits were spotted around the trails.
Many thanks to jusojara and Mr Roo for some well placed caches in a most enjoyable location to drive.

What a sparkling autumn day it has been. We've had an amazingly fun day on this forest drive doing what we could with no phone signal. We back tracked along paddies river road till we could populate the iPad geo app and wrote down co-ords for as many as we could populate. We then worked as best we could and took great care to keep our map. It was real geocaching!! All the caches were good sizes and that makes it more fun. We had a brilliant day and give a big thank you to all the cache owners

The plan was to ride my bike around Pierces Creek and find a few caches. Went to the shed for the mountain bike. Damn flat tyre. Decide to walk and drive, though the Laurel Camp Road was in so good condition drove to most of the caches.
All action in the Pierces Creek area. I was pulled up thrice by the police and swooped by police in a helicopter. The police were out looking for two blokes in a black Hilux.

Attending a conference at Birrigai, and with a free afternoon I thought I'd do a little exploring and, of course, some caching. I hadn't really planned on doing any particular caches, just picked a direction and went. I had the forest to myself, and had a very pleasant wander along roads I'd only seen on TV. I, of course, went much slower. A quick find. Thanks for the cache jusojara

Second visit to this area and found a few more caches. Contents are damp. TFTC jusojara.
Down from Sydney visiting the geosis aka specimenX. Great weather meant getting amongst it with a few caches, so we decided to headout for a spin around the Mineshaft series at Pierces Creek Forest.
Found all of the caches easily enough in the series, but had a few games of "hot and cold" with the geosis to find a few of the challenging ones. All in all, a great day out!
Thanks for the hides jusojara and mr_roo!

Today is another nice day, and it's Sunday. I'm feeling healthy, and the GeoSchnauzers are looking appealingly at me as I pack my Geocaching kit. Bad luck, GeoSchnauzers!!! Today, I'm going out with Knightech in his nice newish Ford Territory, out to do some caches around the rally circuit. GeoSchnauzers are'n't allowed in the Territory. This is number 8 of 14 we found today. Thanks for placing this series, they're great!! . We did park and ride on all of these, nice quick grabs every time.

We had a spare afternoon over Easter so we decided to do some caches around the cotter. Thanks jusojara. Cheers
Not sure why, but it was there. Uncle Toad was complaining about how many we had already done. Not far to go says I?
Baja15 joined me in a trip to Canberra to drop our grand son off, so we took the opportunity to grab some caches and this trail has been on the radar to do, we started early in the morning and the weather was perfect. We spotted kangaroos along the way and other forest creatures. we stopped along the way to pick some of the abundant blackberries as we drove around. The caches were all in good conditions and well hidden. Some sections of the trail there were great views to be seen. I enjoyed the trail very much. thanks for bringing us here. TNSL TFTC
We decided to head back out to finish the Mineshaft series today. A little bit cooler than yesterday which made things a bit easier. We managed to complete them all, a couple took a bit of searching - but we got there in the end. Thanks for a great series!
Out last one for this series! it was a lot of fun, though would have been great to do in one hit, we had a great time doing it over two days, Thank you jusojara and Mr Roo! great series!! TFTC
It was a hot day and I was starting to run out of water so it was good to get a quick cache find with only a few more to go.
Having spent most of the day looking for the caches associated with some of the puzzles we had solved, we decided to go to the area where in Mineshaft series of caches were hidden to get some idea of access issues (we have a low clearance car) and the types of hides involved. We managed to visit about a third of the caches before we stopped because of poor light. With only a few exceptions the well-stocked caches were found quite quickly and were in good condition. Thanks for the series jusojara and for this cache.
We started from the wrong end of this series, got halfway before it started getting too late, and decided we'd come back another day to complete the rest of the caches.
Really fun series, looking forward to coming back to finish it. Highlight was the ranger who pulled up and asked us if we were lost, he drove off with a cloud of dust and a grin when we waved the GPS and said we were fine. Not sure whether he knew what we were up to, but he definitely made us smile.

And the long weekend Geomission continued with specimenX on a beautiful spring day. OMG the weather today was just AMAZING and we took full advantage of it
I apologise in advanced for the generic logs (I do not generally do generic logs), however today we made 59 finds and a majority of them were on the Mineshaft series.
specimenX was having a ball wizzing around the granite tracks (I am glad she doesnt have anything bigger than a 4 cyl otherwise it would have been a scary adventure [:p])
There were a couple of dirt bikers out here today, however expected to see alot more due to the lovely weather and it being a long weekend. The whole day was very quiet on the tracks for us which made the finds very easy as we were not distracted at all
Along this series, we made a number of quick maintenance checks, we replaced a number of log bags and dried out a few caches. We also had to do alot of rehides as alot of the caches we found were not hidden very well with caching natural camo. hmmmm well we fixed that !
Cache located, log signed, returned to geomobile and off we wizzed to the next location
Thanks for the great series mr_roo & jusojara

Along this series, we made a number of quick maintenance checks, we replaced a number of log bags and dried out a few caches. We also had to do alot of rehides as alot of the caches we found were not hidden very well with caching natural camo. hmmmm well we fixed that !
Cache located, log signed, returned to geomobile and off we wizzed to the next location
Thanks for the great series mr_roo & jusojara
Out for a Sunday run with Just a cacher and decided to stretch the legs. A quick grab here today on some more of the series.
Thanks for the cache jusojara.

My apologies - I normally don't do generic logs but I lost a bit of spatial awareness whilst in the forest with Wing6Rider (yes, the 3rd amigo was swanning around in the US). This was our first though as we criss crossed our way through the forests.
Agent Basil had a plan. To cruise around collecting caches until we got lost or hungry! We managed both. This was the first of the day. Thanks jusojara for the pine forest jaunt!
Mostly generic logs to follow reflecting our complete disorientation in the pine forest!

Today was the perfect opportunity to get out caching with SecretSquirrel-BJC. We agreed to head out and tackle this series of drive-bys and we enjoyed the good clean tracks, forest and some nice views of creeks and peaks. Just a fantastic sunny day out with a good mate. Thanks for the series Mr Roo and Jusojara.
