Wasnt quite where the map was telling me but just glance around and youll figure it out. Not at the letterboxes!
OzHockeyChick and I had decided to join the Eldorado night cache group assault and headed off early (a whole day early!) to grab a few caches along the way. We had a target list as well as visiting the north eastern TDOC23 caches.
A quick stop here on our way through.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Time to head north for a bit of a break from work, targetting a few special caches along the way, with some night caching and 4wding thrown in.
A quick driveby trad on the way to find coffee at Chiltern.

We are in Chilten for a few days bird watching. This was found after a short search. We probably could have found it sooner but I had been distracted by a group of white winged choughs. It was only just after 4 pm but the blue skies had become cloudy and the day was becoming a little dark. Thanks to BettyBoos3747 for the cache.
Heading up into the National park to join up with the Old Coach Rd I stopped in here and made a quick find

Camped out for our last night in the Chlltern and Rutherglen area at Tuan Campground with part of the DEFF team (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite and Freddo). I was keen to get the caches in the Chiltern area, that some of the others had already found earlier in the week, so headed off for an early morning foray around the township and through the back tracks and walking trails of the Chilton Forest park. Very happy with the cache finds before traveling into Rutherglen to attend the Rutherglen Event – Monday Lunch Social Event and the Rutherglen CITO, then finishing up with the Wahgunyah Diggings earthcache before heading for home. Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747!
This was the last day of caching for Marchwood, Kiscardi and me. While we were in the area, we found several odd caches. TFTC.
We are touring around the area picking up some caches while at the Rutherglen event. Thanks for bringing us to these letterbox mail boxes . They are very cool Bettyboo3747. Found today with Agazo and Marchwood, logs mostly signed as KAM to save space.
This weekend, it was a trip down to Victoria to attend [The Rutherglen Event](https://coord.info/GC9MH9M) 2023 Mega. Arriving on Thursday with a flight to Albury, I joined a few South Aussie friends, which consisted of e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, and Freddo.
Several geocaching series were completed, which included the Easter 2023 Wherigos, Brolga Bill’s Bike Trail (BBBT), Brolga Bill’s Puzzles (BBP), and the Ladders in Rutherglen series. I also hiked in Warby-Ovens National Park and completed the Wangaratta Warbys Challenge Trail (WCT) series. In addition, we targeted uncommon cache types, rare/unique D-T combinations, older caches (although not too many of these) and those with high Favourite Points.
We also completed several Adventure Labs (ALs) during our stay, which ranged from the Mega specific maze and gadget ALs, to sightseeing around Rutherglen and nearby towns:
• [GPS Adventure Maze Rutherglen](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/6b3687ae-11f7-4479-8e38-1392aa969cc6);

The weather ranged from sunshine days, to overnight rain and dreary days, but for the most part, it didn't impact our geocaching as we targeted tree climbs on dry days, and power trails during the drizzly days.
Whilst heading south-west towards Colin Crocodile's Creepy Crawly Challenge Cache, we took a stop here to admire this letterbox sculpture and associated geocache. I didn't quite understand the name of this one until it was clearly apparent. The cache was a quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. The logbook was stamped with DEFF (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo) to save logbook space. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Day 4 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Up nice and early again (no thanks to the end of daylight savings), fitzy_1965 and I headed off for Eldorado with the Canberra Mob to pick up the CSI series and anything in between.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Back down south for another mega weekend!! Great to be able to visit the area again and enjoy some caching and catching up with friends. Cached with loads of different people over the weekend and checked out the local yummies. Often we signed as the Canberra Mob, or sometimes with individual names. Loved driving the trails out around the CSI today. Picked this one up on our way back home. Thanks to all the cache owners who set and maintained the caches. Great to have been able to add this one to my collection. Thanks for the cache.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 5. Rutherglen Mega Trip Day 4. Now that the onsite activities have wrapped up, a little prematurely it seems to me, it was decided an away trip was in order and a team of mostly Canberran cachers loaded into four wheel drives to tackle the CSI series near Eldorado. The trails were no where near as bad as some had said they were, and the biggest issue were others people racing along the trails at speed. It seems we had managed to workout the correct answers to these caches and they were all found. After the CSI we went about a few singletons in the region that were either on the roadside or old DNFs. The final leg of the day was the first section of the New multis that all ended up in a nice line near where we were. In the evening was the closing ceremony where lots of people won some amazing stuff. A great weekend !
After the CSI caches and a few OCR catch up caches, the group split up a bit and we started doing single caches.

CSI pickup day. A group of us decided today was a great day to head out this way and pick these up. Weather is great and the recent rain has not impacted the roads much. So much traffic out here though. Signed as Canberra Mob.

Heading back towards Wangaratta following a day on Old Coach Road, with the Suscoe Duo, we couldn't resist stopping for another quirky letterbox highlighted by BettyBoo3747, around the north east. What a classic TEC, slightly different from the last vehicle in a 4WD line. A FP posted here.
Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

Yep - another great arty and creative letterbox that adds to the fun of the drive by. Enroute to a little NSW destination starting with Q as its such a nice day and I can't go hiking - still, caching is a nice compromise. The prize was found in good nick and the log happily signed. TFTC and FUN!.
Sadly our week away is drawing to a close and we decided to pop up to Rutherglen on our way back home. I couldn't resist one more Letterbox Art cache and I'm super glad I did. The letterbox here is pretty awesome, as are the others adjacent. But what is even more astonishing is the birds nest on the second letterbox away from this one. The nest is fully occupied and the residents not to happy with my presence, so I made it a quick stop and we were back on the road. I wonder how the postie gets the mail in! Travel safe little birdies.
Out getting a little adventure lab planned with SomethingDifferent and this was one of the stops.
This was stop number 1 and a very cute horse. The willy wag tails that were trying to warn us off were very cute. We finally worked out where their babies were after chasing the cache and signing our lives away. TFTC and bringing me out this way

The cut&paste bit: Went to the excellent St Arnaud Mega and now logging everything from the comfort of my Central Coast, NSW home. I enjoyed myself, everyone I met was lovely, and I came across so many awesome caches. Thanks to everyone involved!
Heading home now. Cache was quickly found, log signed, and everything replaced. I could hear a nearby local out with their mower or chainsaw or whipper-snipper, I thought I better leave quick before I copped any of the ol' "What are you up to there mate?" etc. TFTC!

It disappoints me how much rubbish we have found in all of these quality cache containers up and around Chiltern.
So many bottle lids, pamphlets, bits of broken random plastic, wrappers etc we have found.

On one last trip in Sims_family work vehicle with free fuel and we were off toward Albury/Wadonga to grab some needed D/T for our next D/T loop. We were also trying to grab a few extra LGA areas while we were here too. Sudoku grid was also on the agenda for the day.
