Am in Brisbane for a symposium and am definitely out to get a few smiley faces in the area. But not on this one. The rock is not there any more.
Found the intruder but no paper inside (see photo) & didn't have any on me. It was a good few metres from where the GPS said, but it fits the bill.
This one had us stumped for a bit as we searched in vain where we thought it was and disregarded the bouncy compass. After a read of some logs we realised our mistake and relocated. Beautiful outside day so lots of cycling muggles. Difficult to be stealthy so we used geoboy as a decoy. He actually put his hand right on the obvious intruder. Clever boy. Clever hide. TFTC
The GPS led us to a few wrong spots originally but eventually allowed us to find this small jackpot
Didn't have room on the paper to write but took a sneaky picture at night

A quick easy find when you know what to look for. Seen quite a few of these little fellas. Hide blends in well despite its size. I wonder what the keys are for?

4th DNF in a row for me along the river this afternoon. The hint helped, but to any muggle it would probably look like I was searching for a needle in a haystacj. TFTH.
Found late in the day after spending the day walking around an expo. GZ was clear but finding the cache took longer than I expected as I was trusting the GPS a too much - once I'd expanded the search area a bit it was quickly spotted TFTC
Rolling into GZ, I noticed construction fencing up. Please no not another one temporarily out of action.
Best have a closer look.
Luckily this one is safely outside and active.

Found at 1015.
I had just completed a 40k circuit in the 'Great Brisbane Bike Ride' and was winding down.
I knew this cache was nearby, so while there were few muggles around, I quickly spotted the sneaky cache.
Log was signed and cache placed back safely.

Found today - with Britz885 - walked up just as they found it, so sharing the find with them! TFTC
Doing a walking circuit from West End to South Bank. Came across this cache and decided to investigate. A nice hide in an appropriate place, but we have one just like it back in New Zealand, so we recognised it straight away. TFTC

Even rain from the cyclone up north isn't stopping my geocaching on my RDO. Armed with my rain jacket and umbrella I am hitting the south bank side I the river. Muggles are low or preoccupied with not getting wet.
I wonder what the construction staff catching up on their office work while it rains were thinking the big umbrella with legs was doing just standing on the other side of the road to their office.
Water getting high in the river on this king tide

I felt like a spot of caching after work today, and this was more or less on the way home, so it became my target for the afternoon. I remembered how to access the area by car from previous visits and was pleased to see that there were more carparks available in the later afternoon than I'd seen here at earlier times. Plenty of muggles driving, walking and jogging past plus the potential for office workers' eyes from the demountable opposite made me a tad nervous about approaching this, so I waited for another person to walk down the road side and followed them so as not to appear too suspicious. I recalled another cache only metres from here some years ago, perhaps a puzzle? Funny how we so often end up in the same places... A quick recce and I'd spotted the hide and grabbed it on my way past, proceeding further down to sign it and loiter until I felt safe enough to go and replace it. As I did, a cheeky possum came down from a tree a bit further along and played with a passing cyclist, who stopped to enjoy the moment. The creature investigated her bike and sniffed at her legs before sauntering up the slope and casually leaping back up into a tree, much to the alarm of the birds nesting there and the delight of the passers-by. A lovely end to the caching expedition. TFTC, jadhoo. =^.^=
Spent a couple of nights in Brisbane to go and watch the Lion King. The show was fabulous, the food at the restaurants was absolutely delicious and we capped our time away with some caching in the city without the kids!!
It was nice to get outside of the Southbank precinct and see the river and sights beyond the tourist area - but we so wished we had bikes with us!! Thanks for placing a cache that was part of our cache guided tour of Brisbane!

Very cool! Not where we first thought. No pen so we took a pic of the log our first night cache
First one for 2015. Easy find but geocache app compass all over the place. Not sure what the keys are for ...muggle hubby obsessed in taking photos of all the caches we find. Found with Jacko2484. TFTC.
Found. No cyclists, but the McConnell Dowell building didn't help. Or the two cops that walked by. 1st international cache for me! Tftc
Had a few minutes to kill so dropped in to have a look for this one. I had suspicions on what I was looking for and despite the passing traffic was able to pick it up quickly - after a quick battery change in the GPSr. TFTC.
Found between lots of cycling muggles on a Sunday, fortunately not many staff working the weekend in the nearby building.
Did not have pen to sign log book. Too small to leave trackable so will find another nearby cache. Go the All Blacks tomorrow night@
This was our first traditional find in Brisbane and in Australia and in the Southern hemisphere, yay! Brisbane turned out to be quite challenging city for caching because of all the disabled caches. TFTC!
Find #1301 at 17:22 while killing time in the area.
Had a pretty good idea what I was looking for but it took a few passes before I spied it. Then my shoelaces developed some... problems...
Hard to be discreet with the nearby temporary office windows overlooking GZ.
Thanks for the cache, jadhoo.

After finding a nearby cache Selva Girls and I headed over to this one. We parked nearby; the parking is supposed to be for just cars with boat trailers but there was a boat trailer in one spot without a car, so we took the opportunity to park behind it and hoped we wouldn't be long. We headed over to GZ and were a little discouraged at what we saw but we ploughed through it and Selva Girls came up with the goods, took a bit though as there were lots of passer-byers. Not sure what the keys attached are for, took a photo but didn't do anything else with them. Signed it off and returned it to hiding. Off we go! TFTC!
With Sezzz. This one was next on the list to look for. I hadnt been to this area for alooong time. Parked nearby and wandered to GZ. Muggles on their bicycles! Using the hint, it didnt take too long to find the cache. (We had found one yesterday that was similarly hidden....granted, we did have help for that find, but didnt need it this time.) Log signed and cache returned before the next muggle cyclists came into view.
Beaut morning down by the River. Plenty of Lycra clad mamils cruzing the paths. Solid hide. TFTC

Found at 1845. Well strictly speaking I 'found' it a couple of days ago, but I already had a calendar find for that night and with tonight being my last night in Brisbane decided I should save it as an easy grab between finishing work and re-packing my bags.
All I had to contend with on the 'pre-find' night was possums; not so tonight, with waves of joggers and riders coming from both directions. Luckily I'd come prepared - I'd picked up a small stick en route to use as a marker, and as I crossed GZ I did a quick switcheroo without breaking stride, walking further down the road before stopping to sign the log.
On the return visit the Muggle factor was still high, so I stopped at a convenient spot to get something out of my shoe - and the deed was done.
I left a couple of pathtags in the outer shell for the next finder - thanks for the cache jadhoo.

A nice walk along the river lead to this cache. Walked up and down a couple of times before the cache container was identified.
Thanks jadhoo. Another great urban cache.

There's some sort of work going on here, but the cache is safe.
I said - oh look at that, and that was it!
Nice quick easy find, easily hidden again between muggles passing.

Went round and round with nan nan - arf8 losing a few stone before finding the cache. Clever!!
I have seen this hide on the map a few times but had never had the chance to get down to make the find.
So today while out with Mrs LHE Duo, we made the stop to take a look, although this may be possibly worse then a day on the weekend as the place is nearly parked out. We managed to find one last spot pretty close to GZ though, and wandered over to take a look.
We had been looking for a few minutes and nothing showing up and then Mrs LHE duo pointed out a specific spot and on closer inspection the container was recovered and the log signed

Found this one while out with OrionJ. This one did not take too long after reading the hint. Had not been to this area for a long time and so much construction going on. This stopped us getting a couple of others today as they were inaccessible while we were in the area. TFTC
It was the perfect day to hunt for caches in the city as the area was dead quiet. Apart from some workmen having coffee just down the road on the other side of the fence there was no one around. Mrs THR worked the area and found the cache whilst Dr THR stayed with the car. Nice quick park and grab. TFTC Jadhoo
Keen? Spotted the booty straight off.
Just had a lovely Greek lunch at a local place with Geowife and this is our first find of the afternoon.

I was heading to the WWFM this morning and parked at West End and rode along the river to Southbank.
Last time I was here there were too many muggles about. I had trouble at other caches along the river this morning, but traffic was light here.
A nice quick find between the passing traffic

When at the right place I saw it quite clearly and thought that someone had lost them. Checking the attachment showed I had found it. Pity about the smell from the nearby factory - spoils a really nice area. TFTC

2nd of 2 finds at 16:05 with Wingostar to mark 18/05 off the geocaching calendar.
There were lots of muggles about cycling and running. That didn't stop us from finding the cache. There was a need to see the hint from the hint.

Added new log.
On the way to add a new log, GeoKidC and I met a lovely cacher who was out about before catching her flight back to NZ.
Her Android phone was pointing to the wrong side of the road.
My iPhone was dead on target.
With a slight adjustment she found the cache within a minute.

Had a few hours to fill in before heading to Airport to fly to Sydney, just waiting on side of road to cross, and met owner who came to replace log, got to otherside GZ and phone said back across the road, he waited until I found the cache, which I had within a minute or two, then I got a brand new log to sign off to Sydney and Perth before heading back to NZ, TFTC.
T-Tech and I headed out for lunch today, and afterwards we went a-caching No idea why I couldn't see this one last time I was here as it was very quickly spotted by T-Tech today. TFTC, jadhoo.
Out with iolantheK after church for some out door activity in the sun, and a cache or three
Decided on the area in and around West End [^]
Arriving at GZ our GPSRs wanted us on the other side of the road, but the hint won and we soon had the cold hard cache in hand [^]
