Soggy Wet log needs replacing... Also wet feet but came prepared with my rock shoes... TFTC!
Gotcha - Ants infiltrated the gap between outer and inner container. Log is a soggy messy bundle. Unable to sign. Logged find on Geo instructions - sorry.
Will need to replace log.

DNF and to add insult to injury went the wrong way out, which made for an “adventurous” walk in waist deep water
Beautiful afternoon to get out for some exercise. Keeping it local we’ve had this cache in the radar and today was a great opportunity to see a different part of the lake. Spotted a sting Ray on the way to GZ. A few kayakers out. Short walk and we had cache in hand. Kept the feet dry but was prepared to get wet, it seems the log got it’s feet and body wet though! Gone to mush and needs replacing. TFTC.
Took the doggo for an adventure along the point to find this one, managed to keep our feet dry
Thanks! Our boys loved scaling the rocks and the sense of adventure. Close to the playground for afterwards too!
Good find. Except outer container has no lid so everything is getting wet. Will need replacing TFTC
8/3/20. Found with GizaGal.
We had an hour to kill and this was nice and close to where we are staying - Sergeants Quarters.
The outer container has lost it’s lid so the stash in this container are getting wet.

Our 90th find! Tigsey found and didn't need a boat. Also found rhat there was no geocoin!
We found in difficult to navigate around the rocks and tried overland but it was way too far from that angle. We’ll try again sometime
Went out finding a few geocaches with my son this afternoon as I still had a couple of geocoins that I'd brought back from the UK. Found the cache quickly and left one of the geocoins here to continue its journey.
SL, TN left Canadian Geocoin, T4TC

We set up camp at Mannering Park and were well positioned so we could head out and do some caching. We teamed up with the Snakepiters and enjoyed the find in this scenic area. Thanks to Team Wangi for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Back for the second day to finish off the Oz Geomauster Art. Success now to pick up the remaining traditionals in the area. Mixed success with a few DNF's

Thought we were literally going to get wet feet til we found an alternative route with Reborn995
Manged to get to the cache without getting wet feet, but only just. A fun walk around the water to get there, enjoyed this one, TFTC.
We decided to go for a drive even though it was raining. i checked before we left that is was low tide so there was less risk of getting wet feet. it had stopped raining and i managed to pick a route that avoided getting wet feet. took a couple of minutes to find as my GPS wouldn't settle. Eventually found and signed the log. TFTC
And this is why I geocache, I had a totally crappy night at work and then I had trouble sleeping . So I didn't want a park and grab cache today . I came out here this afternoon with cachekel73 and Leopard Kat, at first we took the high road but realised that was no good so went lower. After a brief search at Gz the cache was found, then I took the time to enjoy the view and listen to the waves beating against the rocks and enjoy the nice breeze. None of us got our feet wet . Thanks for the cache Team Wangi it keeps my streak alive. tnln replaced as found sl
Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers after attending the OzGeoMuster over Easter in Morisset and this was one we found.. There are some beautiful places around the Lake, thanks for showcasting them.. A great spot to take a dip. The water we were told was 26 degrees, so Mr W. went for a dip to cool off and he continued on by water to find the cache. The water in Tasmania would be 13 degrees so this dip was just like a bath. TFTC
While still staying at Morisset we travelled around the area with whitewebbs collecting a few caches and this was one of them.
Took a dip on the way in. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After the triumph of completing the OZGM Geoart we decided on a more leisurely day today so set out with m4yb & megawat60 to explore the local area. Then we even stopped for lunch before heading out to Wangi Wangi, because we liked the name.NEF after a bit of a clamber.TFTC

The approach to this cache was pretty tight given the imminent distance between the approach, and device ruination in the event of a slip. Nevertheless, we carried on, and once at GZ, found the cache in very little time. Logs were signed, and the cache returned. We made it out of there before the tide rose once more.

This one took us FAR too long. We climbed around the rocks (slipping over at one point) to find GZ, with the cache appearing to be in the water. Reading the logs, we stayed on dry land, searching forever turning up nothing. We gave up, and started walking back to the bikes when we took one look in a place we hadn't checked and there it was. TFTC!
We managed not to wet our feet here. Mrs Shifter was about to get her feet wet but as she turned around to remove her shoes the cache was spotted. Cache is wet due to missing lid but inner container holding the log is fine.
Thanks for the hide Team Wangi.

Took us ages as GPS location was off about 8 metres , container was not as described (it's a 20 cm long about 1ltr cylinder container ) and the clue wasn't helpful as every rock in sight was of the type mentioned! Got there in the end. Perhaps update info please.
Luckily went on the low tide so feet remained dry. My gps and phone both had me 10m into the water- luckily I found the cache (not in the water) dry. TFTH.

Parked in Puna Rd then wandered over to the Public Reserve. Decided to walk along the shoreline...only one tricky place to work around to keep our feet dry. After about 10 minutes searching around GZ, we eventually found the cache about 10-12m away. SL TNLN TFTC Team Wangi . We are really enjoying our time at Wangi Wangi!

#12 for the day. Bit of a mission to get there, but picked a careful track to pick this one up. TFTC
Hello team Wangi!
Visiting family brings me up here from Melbourne - first time since starting caching... so shiny souvenir for me! Woot woot!
A quick dash out so as to not be "antisocial " and grabbed the nearby cache. As is customary I took the hard way in. By hard way I mean on my bottom through the scrub, holding onto trees on my descent, praying rather hard to the nearest available deity that I wouldn't find some sort of craggy rock type thing at the bottom.
There wasn't.
In fact there was a rather reasonable ledge, upon which I could walk. In a non precarious manner. Mostly.
I found the cache and, as is customary, took the much easier way out.
Now as I am new to your caching area (waves hello) I should tell you that it is also customary for me to tell you all about how my children, after an 11 hour journey, decided to spend the night enjoying a veritable chunder-fest. Yep. Vom city. Which is always slightly less than awesome.
I don't know how often our paths will cross while we are here - but watch out for more little logging customs of mine, if they do. Check log for totes awesome photos of stuff.

Today I ventured to the north end of Lake Macquarie and then down the western side.
Of course I came the wrong way to this one and it looked like I was going to get more than my feet wet. Back to the top and it was going to be DNF'ed at this point in time.
BUT, I spotted a track along the top past all of the houses .... OK one last look.
SOOOO much easier this way and I did not get my feet wet this way.
A short search at GZ to find the cache .... damm, left my tb's in the car.
Thanks for the cache

A fun cache this one. Didnt get the feet wet but yes Im sure you would if you fell. I had alittle bit of trouble finding the cache, but then spotted the green thing TFTC
Replaced cache with a new and dry one. Let's see how this one handles the storms.
cool hide I fell over in the water a million times found it with my dad
then the gps was pointing me in the bush
cool but log is soaked with water could not write my name on it

Went in by kayak which made things very easy. Found the cache a little out of position out in the open and the log was very wet so I think the container went for a swim at some point. Moved it a few metres to where I think it should be but couldn't sign the log unfortunately thanks to the wet book. Probably good idea to check my location if possible. TFTC
After spending the weekend up in the Watagans I popped into Wangi Wangi to collect some caches before picking up kids from a nearby youth camp.
I took the high road first then realised where I needed to be and retraced my steps. A young maggie with attitude tried swooping me a few times but I ignored hoping and he gave up.

What a gorgeous view. A fun scramble at high tide. Almost got wet at one point but just survived very quick find in an obvious spot. Nice touch of camo though. TNLN TFTC
It was a nice sunny day with not much wind and a falling tide, so I braved the rocky seashore walk to GZ. As it turned out, my feet stayed dry and I walked way past GZ enjoying the stroll before I realised my error. The cache was spotted lurking under a pile of camouflage and logged before the easy return trip. My only problem was that somewhere here I was bitten by one of those damned Wangi ants, just like my first visit to "hey look, it's an eagle" over on the point. It is still painful and swollen hours later. At least I still have the ointment left over from the first bite to calm it down. Thanks Team Wangi for another great hide in your typical top location.
Wangi Wednesday again! I took my son here and we found a nice place to park the car between 100 and 102 Dobell Drive (opposite Puna Road). This foreshore area looks very well maintained with beautifully manicured grass, so good that, even though we knew the cache was close to the water, we took the high road behind the houses. Then refusing to walk backwards, I looked for a way down and very surprisingly the first "track" I found was 150m past the cache and was pretty bad. I had to do some rock climbing in some spots and that difficulty was amplified by having my young son with me and a half full slurpee, which I refused to litter (never!). But that just made it even more fun and exciting. There was even a poorly constructed "bridge" of sticks that we got to cross. Then we had to get our feet wet as there was no ledge at all. It was a bit deep and difficult to see what I was standing on. Unfortunately I had my pockets full of the usual electronics, so had to be particularly careful what I stood on. Fortunately only the bottom of my shorts got wet and my electronics remained dry and functional. Then we arrived at GZ. The cache was in the second place we looked in (would have been the first if approaching from the "normal" direction), so difficulty rating not really wrong. Terrain on the other hand, I'd say it was a 4 four the way we got there and a three the way we went back to the car. Going back to the car was a lot easier though. I think you can make it without getting your feet wet. When we were nearly back to the grass I felt a sharp pain in the bottom of my foot, only to find a shark attached to it. After a short, but bloody battle, I threw the shark away, but his teeth remained. I kept one for prosperity.
Thanks for the great adventure, it had everything (I love getting my feet wet)!

Found at 10:22 AM GAFF2 at a distance of 6 metres. The last time we attempted this cache the Terrain was just 1.5, so we didn't expect to go down amongst the rocks to find this one. Today we saw that it had been altered so straight to business. This side of the lake was well protected from the wind - and it was actually quite warm!
Got to GZ and after a few moments we ignored that the GPSr was pointing into the water and we then spotted an UPOR's which we went straight to and found the nicely camoed container - nice work.
Thanks Team Wangi.
Feedback: Still think that the Difficulty rating is a bit low, but please don't change it until after we have logged our Unique challenge
