TFTC, shame the original cache container missing or stolen. Cache is now a small.Plenty of rubbish along the creek, obviously a good place to ditch grow bags
Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we headed out to the Barossa, with the main points of interest being a winery (of course), the chocolate factory, and of course the famous Geostuff. Caching wise we mostly targeted ones we had pre-planned on a list but ended up with some extras we happened to be passing as well. We ended the day with a handful back in Adelaide, and an evening walk to grab a few close to our accommodation. Overall, it was yet another very enjoyable and productive day.Don't think we took the optimal route to GZ but a quick find once we made it.Thanks for the cache
Off to Barossa Valley for an overnight trip with Erine14! Thanks for the cache!
Found with Jamesta18 this morning on international geocaching day We have been wanting to do this cache for so long, its been in my lists for years !!!We thought today was convenient , great theme and location, happy to finally have a smiley for this one fav point for you TFTC
This was on the to do list for a long time! Nice small cache container and well positioned with the right theme. Happy international geocaching day! Out with Kyliesmiley TFTC Favourite point added for IGD
A short creek crossing and we found a very cool themed hide. Interesting payload in this rocket! FP from me. TNLN TFTC
A sensational cache container. Didn't know that's what the firepower component was though.. must be a stronger version than any we've had.... TFTC cloji1.
This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 15-6-2024. LOVE LOVE LOVED this cache. TFTC.
can definitely see why this cache has many favourite points. absolutely awesome, thanks for the cache
Before my mum and dad met, many years ago, my mum used to work at W.R.E. I remember her telling me that she had to have her handbag checked before she entered her work place and checked again before she left for the day. I can only imagine what secret things she may have seen After watching security walk by, I walked out of the bushes to make a quick find. A previous finder had suggested I come looking for this cache but it seems it isnt quite what it used to be TFTC clojo1Keep smiling
On a work trip down to Adelaide, so found some time for some Caches. This one is a great cache, must have been a bit of work to set up up. 10/10 on effortTFTC
**Today**The last morning in Adelaide with DSD! We had one last chance to pick up what we can, before slowly heading out of the city and into Gawler, and finally Lyndoch where we would stay the night to prep for the On your Bike series the following day! What a fantastic day this was! Had an incredible opportunity to meet weredunn4 who generously spent his morning ferrying passengers back & forth to Adventure Island! One thing I have noticed from the Adelaide community is how friendly they all are and opening their arms to welcome us interstate travellers! Easily one of the best highlights of this trip, getting a boat ride and then walking along the sand dunes for a variety of T5 cache types. Thank you! We then slowly made our way north to Gawler, ticking off some more cache finds, before eventually reaching the famous town itself with a couple of the best caches SA / Australia has to offer! We then made an unexpected detour via Nuriootpa for groceries, as we were left shocked & stranded by how early the grocery stores close!? But for some reason they stay open several hours longer just in this town! Hmm. This gave us a chance to visit the Geostuff Headquarters cache which we would have otherwise missed, but unfortunately the store was closed at this time! Thanks to all the COs -**This Cache:**Came here for the FPs, but was disappointing to find out that the inner container is missing scrolling through the logs it sounds like its been missing since 2021 as well! Ahh well, the outer container is still very cool & looking through the photos I can appreciate why this was one of SAs top caches! TFTC
Find # 13850I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 7. With an invite to go out on a boat, we had headed out to Adventure Island for the caches. Then I was solo Caching around Adelaide grabbing high D/T and fave point caches and detoured north for a series I've had my eye on for a while and was highlighted in the Mega informationWas told at the event today that I need to go to this one for a look, and coz of al the favs.. Well I wasn't disappointed by what I was told. TFTC clojo1
Adelaide day two: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to tackle a bunch of grapes and assorted others along the way. This one piqued our interest as it had lots of favourite points. We found an appropriate way to reach gz where we spotted the outer container straight away. The inner container was a little under-whelming. But we speculated as to what it may have once been. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, clojo1 ??~????????~
RoamingHowie, OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle37 and myself set off today to find some high D/T's as well as others along the way. This was the first for the day as it had a great favourites total. It is a shame that we didn't find this when it was still at its prime as it looks like it would have been worthy. Thanks for the cache.
Day #10 Leaping Forward AdventuresAnd just like that leap day is done and dusted! As the next 4 years begin, its time to head out to the Barossa with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.First cache for the day. A quick bush bash and this one was in hand. The cap had not been replaced properly which gave away the game a little. We left everything properly lined up. Its a shame this is nothing more than a mint tin these days as Im sure the original cache was impressive. Thanks clojo1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
With this many favourite points we placed this on our to do list. Unfortunately, it wasn't as it originally had been but we could see what it was. Thanks for placing the cache for all to enjoy.
Chooo ooo [Found] with youban and dty73 on our trip to SA to attend the Leapyear mega! Mint tin was a little disappointingThanks clojo1!
Day 4 of Tankengine, Youban and Is caching Leap Year Mega trip. Today was filled with favourite points, events, ALs and a little bit of sightseeing. This cache: Not bad at all. Was heavy. Nice to see something different. So many ants around though so dont stand in one spot for too long. Tftc!!!
Found with Crank1 and Everlasting while staying in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward event. Loved this cache. FP awarded. clojo1, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. ??
On the way to Adelaide mega.Sign the log as EV, and thanks for the cache and hunt ??
TFTC! 28 February 2024 10:17:31am 7450 thanks to clojo1 for the cache! Off to the Great Leap years Mega in Adelaide. A stop off along the way! Lots of rubbish and a hot day had me very wary of the snakes but didnt see any. A quick find/
On one of the many trips past near the junction to this cache we headed here, no snakes were encountered. Nice hide here and added name to the hidden log.First full day in town with work having arrived late yesterday evening, but still on NZ time so was up real early this morning. A full Ad lab set and a couple of warm up caches were just the thing to get the area recce done. Back in time for a brew and off ferrying hire cars for later use. Thanks to all COs.
With this many FPs had to drop by and have a look. The GPS wanted to take us through the fenced top secret establishment. Before we got to the car park decided we wouldn't get in and we'd be unnecessarily detained instead of caching. Pointed the car outbound and went down a side road to park.Legged it to GZ noting a CITO wouldn't go astray here. Found the booster well and truly embedded in the ground. Very impressive construction and the directions were a big help in dismantling and reassembling. Wasn't sure if we'd have to cut a wire with only 30secs to spare like what happens with all the thrillers.Wel done clojo1 for all your efforts here and another FP to add to the total.
Continuing with the South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. There is so much to do and in such close proximity. Today it was leaving Adelaide and venturing north through Gamber and then a little east to grab caches in Waikerie to start the onslaught on the bike series of caches and locals. There is always time for one more cache and that seemed to be the theme for the road trip today. We left the airport and started our trip. Some great variety of caches today and some fun along the way. We got to see a huge moon a rising with some awesome pics. Thanks to all the COs for the hides and caches we found today, awesome caches. Caches were signed BOLD 7 With this many favourite points we had to stop and find out why
Tftc. Another good cache for our Great Leap Forward caching weekend and a favourite point from me for the efford. Signed as BOLD7.
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we head north to expire the country. Fab day collecting all sorts including some well preserved oldies. Thanks to the SA cachers for awesome variety of caches. Rather clever, fave point
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing while travelling in the Venga Bus. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache clojo1
Alchemists' GuildMotto: OMNIS QVIS CORVSCAT EST OR.All that glitters is gold.Likely the loudest among the guilds in Ankh-Morpork, but not politically powerful. The Alchemists' Guild is known more for its failures than its successes. That is to say, more people (in fact, everybody in the city) are aware of the explosions produced by the guild's members rather than the actual products and services they render. The guild building is blown up a few times a month, and is therefore under a perpetual state of repair.
Day 2 of Team SQUIRMs South Australian adventures, todays area is around Gawler and the Barossa Valley, combining wineries and caching, what can go wrong! Impressive cache construction here.Tftc clojo1Find #5409
SQUIRM are in Adelaide for the Leap Day MegaToday its about Gawler and the Barossa Valley Targeting specific D/Ts, favourited caches, wineries and oldies We spent the day powering around in Staceys Squealing Mum (aka the Venga Bus )There was confusion about how to get here were from Queensland not that you can drive through military bases in Queensland either, but we tried that hereThats some constructionThanks clojo1 Find #10859
Found with the SQUIRM team. We've made the journey down from SE Queensland for the MEGA, so booked ourselves in for a week and a bit of fun and caching. Thanks for the cache. Great effort, and a relatively old one as well. Logbook container was a bit of a surprise . Favourite point from me
Nice little trek amongst the bunnies.PSA wear shoes, not slides!! Giant ants like tiny toes!!
TFTC, I was a bit surprised with this many favourite point that it was just a it was a mint tin. it must have changed over time.
Change of plan today with a windscreen repair needed. A bit of time before the appointment to round up a few caches. Another one that was quickly found, but took some wrangling to add my name to the log. Another favourite to add to the collection.
With all the fave points on this we knew it was worth a detour. Nice touch with GC etched on top! Hubby did the heavy lifting. Log signed. Its a little full.
Enjoyed the walk, watching the wild rabbits dart out of the way. Very clever hide. Had me puzzled at first! Tftc.
A not so quick drive by as there was a bit of a walk from where I parkedLog stamped and returned as foundGreat hide, deserves all the favourite points, and gets another from me TFTC
Full log to follow. Thanks clojo1 for placing 321 Blast Off for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 09:48 on 26/9/2023.This is find number 7681 for me.
TFTC! Had heard such great things about this one, we were so disappointed that the original internal rocket was gone!
I was in the vicinity this evening and looking at the map there was a creek to cross. It has been raining for a couple weeks, so my chances were slim. I parked nearby and surveyed the creek, not so bad. I returned to the car to get phone and pen and made it across to GZ to see a delightful shape waiting for me. Impressive.
I managed to get the cache open fairly easily and found the contents as required. Signed and returned after the obligatory camera shot. What a cool cache, nice work here. I closed it all up and it was easy to see I had it the right way around due to the graffiti lining up perfectly.
Great hide clojo1, I am leaving a fav point, another one for the impressive tally. Found in mostly dark at 5.41pm. Find #8508. FP4U

I’m visiting South Oz from Townsville for about a week. I’ve a few targets on my list and this more than likely was one of them.
Way better in there than in a guard rail. Nice one. Excellent stamping too
Thanks clojo1 for placing this Traditional for me to find.
Logged a find on Niblet too

Loved the camo! A word of warning to future finders - there are some ants living in the outer container. TFTC
Another mint tin!
Not sure in the winter this is just a 2D. We got across the flowing water with the aid of a dumped wheel. Found a beautiful flower on the way. Happy international Geocaching day

Today we drove to the North and then Northeast of Adelaide to collect some interesting caches we had highlighted from out must do list while still in Tassie, after that it will be the On Your Bike series.
Even with the numbers being down it was great to attend a Mega and at least get to meet some fellow cachers after so long and catch up with a few people, we flew over from Tassie on Thursday and after spending a few days in Adelaide we headed Northeast to clean up some series and then head South to Millicent for the start of the Mega long weekend.
This trip has changed so many times since it was first booked and I'm glad we got to do it at long last, to start with it was just myself and GooseandEgg nipping over for the Mega and then it was a few more days with the addition of 1 toolman, then with lockdown it was back to two of us but then another Tassie cacher in the shape of BudgieTas stepped up to the plate and we were back on for an over a week trip to grab a few caches before the Mega and then finish off with Millicent before flying home on the Tuesday.
Thanks for the cache.

Today we were driving from Adelaide to the Barossa valley in preparation for the on your bike series
This cache had many favorites so a Visit was in order. A very clever cache hide
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"
The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark
We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.
Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.
In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

The Millicent Mega trip had been a long time in the making, for the Tassie trio of stainless steel rat, budgietas and gooseandegg, due to a couple of false starts thanks to COVID19. More and more caches were added to the extensive list as planning was being finalized. We focused on old caches, large caches, certain D/Ts, virtual caches, the On your Bike series and a few other special ones on our journey. Our route saw us caching in Adelaide for a few days before heading north via Gawler to the Barossa in preparation for the On your Bike series, whilst basing ourselves at a gorgeous cottage in Waikerie. We continued on to Renmark for a night before the long trek south to Millicent.
Some of the many highlights along the way were Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin’s Cache, Barossa High and Riverland (the oldest surviving geocache in South Australia).
At the Mega we caught up with a few of our caching friends, made some new ones, and of course missed many who could not make it this time. The weather was not the best in Millicent, and a COVID19 situation in Mt Gambier altered our plans but we had plenty of caches to keep us busy between showers, including tree climbs, plenty of adventure labs, and the entertaining Finding a Fish series - giving the new pole a good workout for the first time.
Thanks to all the CO’s who have placed and maintained all these caches that made our adventure so memorable.
Thanks clojo1

WhooHoo!! Plenty of caching for everyone.

Stealth onboard with my bright yellow CacheQLD sun on my shoulder - not!
GZ easily located and log signed between exercising muggles.
If busted I wasn’t going to be able to stay in cognito with name, caching name and CacheQLD Townsville 2022 on my shirt!! Praying I remained unseen!

Sorry all, the original cache container is missing and a temporary replacement has been added until I'm more confident that a new one won't end up the same.
Tough one to log as found, we found where the contents were meant to be, however the structure was empty. Had heard how good this one was so made a special trip but after a phonecall to a previous finder, only the outer shell was present. Those who have found it before will know what I mean. Will return once replaced.
I saw the post on Facebook and thought that’s familiar, I had signed the log book, found with my daughter Webberg on March 21st, 2020.
Out enjoying an Easter Sunday walk, thought we'd find a few on our route. Very very cool hide! Thanks for going to the effort with this one, TFTC!
Found it. Second find for today.
This morning, I & J plus the little one was trying to find some interesting caches. This one caught my attention, as it has so many favourite points. This cache has the third highest favourite points in South Australian, also the most-favourited cache in our not-found list.
Drove all the way to listed location. We stopped on the south side, and it seems the cache is on the other side. Then, we tried to approach from North side, but it was not public area. So we went back to the South side, parked there, and started walking.
At listed location, cache has been found easily.
Great design, and it fit the theme well.
Log book is full, so I signed on the separate log sheet provided.
Took nothing. Left nothing. TBs visited.
Put everything back.
Thanks for the interesting cache, clojo1.
